Editing contacts on iPhone/iPad.

How do I manage my contacts in iOS 8.4 for iPad?
IMPOSSIBLE TO EDIT ANYTHING!!!!! Neither NAME, PHONE NUMBER, NOTHING!!!!!
Stupid "How to manage yr contacts" page keeps teaching to retrieve and to remove, what about EDITING????

Skype for iOS doesn't allow contact editing on our own devices, why? I have several contacts which for instance, show the international dialling code twice therefore those numbers are unusable. Several contacts have changed numbers, I want to change them but can't. Apparently I have to rely on the contact owner changing the number. If I have the contact on my device I want to be able to edit it to my satisfaction.I note this is under consideration and could I add my request for this to be implemented asap. I am now using my iPad with Skype as my main phone on the desk and not having favourites available is a pain in the proverbial. I can't even just use search, I have use the dropdown to select iPad contacts and then search for the person I want to call. Could we please escalate this development??!!!

Why can I no longer edit contacts on my ipad after updating to to ios5?

Any help at all would be awesome! Just updated to ios5, and now i can't edit, add or delete any contacts at all. Any thoughts on why?

Thanks guys, and yes, seems really weird. I hadnt merged contacts with iCloud (which is appearing to be far more trouble than its worth!) and I couldn't edit, add or delete contacts from my ipad, but as soon as I switched on this option in iCloud, they magically reappeared. I then turned it off again from mergeing with iCloud, and, for now at least, the option to edit remains!
Honestly, it really shouldn't be this difficult!

In Phone > Recents, press the i information icon to the right of the number to be blocked. On the subsequent panel, scroll to the bottom and discovery Block this Caller.

Sur votre Mac Système ouvert Préférences> icloud
Décochez la case en regard de Contacts, puis resélectionner il puis redémarrez votre Mac.
Sur l'iPhone et l'iPad, appuyez sur Paramètres> icloud
Mettez Contacts hors tension, puis de retour sur les appareils, puis redémarrez.
Maintenez le bouton ON / OFF bouton Marche / Veille et le bouton Home en bas en même temps pendant au moins dix secondes, jusqu'à ce que le logo Apple apparaisse.

Cannot edit contacts on iPhone 4S with iOS 6

My friend changed his number so I went to contacts and edited his phone no. However in a few minutes the contact number reverts back to the old one. I tried this twice...and it still reverts back to old no. What's happening? My contacts are NOT synched with icloud. Please help !

I am having the same problem - across 4 computers and 6 iOS devices all synced to the same iCloud account. It just started happening last week. If I edit a card on any device and click Done, it appears to save the edits...but within 60 seconds it reverts back to the old data - AND it adds the edited info in a new field. So if I edit a person's home phone number, it will revert back to the old phone number AND add the new edited phone number in a second Home Phone field. Does the same thing with addresses and email addresses. Needless to say it is making a mess of our address book and I'm at a loss. I will try systematically taking devices offline to see if the problem persists as I remove various iPhones and computers from the picture. I called Apple Support but got a guy who was actually more clueless than me.

Hi,
I need some help related to editing contacts using iPhone programming.
I have worked on adding a contact to the iPhone contact list using programming.
I am facing some difficulty to edit a selected contact person details using the program.
Requirement is
1) When the user clicks on the "Add" button a new contact needs to be added. After the contact is added the contact list should be displayed to the user -- This I am able to do
2) Once the user selects a contact then he should be able to EDIT the contact details --- I need some help on this pls.
Can anyone pls. help me in this regard.
It would of great help if you provide me some sample code for this pls.

You may need to use iTunes to convert the videos for you before you sync them as they not be at the right resolution for your iPad. All you would have to do is select the video and then go to the drop down menu File > Create New Version > Create iPad or Apple TV Version and once that is done, sync the new videos and you should be good to go.

You may need to force close all open apps, then restart the phone. If necessary, you may need to reset the phone after that.
