Editing contacts - photostream images not available

New problem on my Mac. When I go to Contacts and try to edit an image, none but the default images are available. There is a tab to acquire images from My Photostream, but this does not work. The program is unable to access the images. I am able to add photos easily using my iPhone and iPads though. I am using OS X Yosemite. Thanks!

User clicked the button "New" - field is not available for editing.

The version of Muse that has in-browser editing will be available next week, but right now the only way to have access to that feature is to get the private beta. If you're a subscriber, wait until Monday, and you should get the update with in-browser editing.

Photos doesn't shows up on webpage, prompt "Image not available"

photos can't show on ebay webpage, instead a black box with the word "Image not available". Tried to reinstall Firefox, but problem is still the same.

Home Screen icon "image not available"

This is a weird one, and I couldn't find it addressed on the discussions.
All of my webclips on my home screen auto-created their own icons based on the webpages except for one.
In the case of "Pop Candy" from USA Today (http://blogs.usatoday.com/popcandy/) the icon is simply a long horizontal graphic that says "image not available."
Is anyone else getting this weird icon? Is this a USA Today server issue or an iPhone issue?

Popcandy is apparently set up to redirect any failed image call (in this case "apple-touch-icon.jpg") to a typepad generic "image not available" gif, which is what you're getting. What is interesting is that iPhone is not supposed to load a gif and is supposed to crop images.
Basically you've discovered a bug which will forever be known as the FUG Bug, the Fenlyn Unauthorized GIF Bug. Congratulations on your discovery.

Photostream checkbox not available in iCloud control panel: Windows 7 PC, 64 bit

Photostream checkbox in iCloud control panel is not available to be checked. I've uninstalled & reinstalled maybe 4-5x now. Also tried switching from Chrome to Explorer 9 for downloading to see if that might help. Also have deleted everything Apple on my PC, & started from scratch. The very odd thing is, it used to work just fine. At some point within the last 2-3 months, there must have been an update that was installed, and I can no longer access the checkbox on photostream.Tech help could not figure out a solution either.

Edited hyperlinked shape images not hyperlinking properly when published

I've tried to add and edit hyperlinked shape images at the top of the page, namely "The PolySteel Systems" and "FAQs". No matter what I do--bring to front, recreate a brand new image, copy and paste one I know works--the published version does not hyperlink properly. I unselect "make all hyperlinks inactive" in the hyperlink inspector pane, rollover my mouse to ensure that all buttons take me to the proper place, then click them to prove it. Works in iWeb, not on the published page.
Does anyone know how iWeb creates the code? When I save changes I've made, does it rewrite code for the entire page, or does it plug in edits at the end of the existing code? When I go in to view source in safari, it looks like it put the two edited/added images in a different location.
Help! Visitors/potential customers are missing a valuable link on my site.

Yes, each is its own image, as making one text box and hyperlinking each word/phrase results in the unchangeable (arrrgh!) grey underlined text that changes to red on rollover.
I've already been experimenting with exactly what you mentioned. I just tried shrinking all the image boxes, without encroaching on the text, so they would clearly not overlap. I'm publishing to me.com for these experiments so I don't have to keep publishing the entire site to a folder, then ftping to my server. Here's the page I just experimented with:

In iWeb, all links are good to go, no overlapping, etc. Curiously enough, on this page, there are even more dysfunctional hyperlinks with those image boxes.

Master image not available?

after downloading my pics from a sd card, my photos sow that master image is not available. can someone help? i am a new mom and all the pictures are of my son. i have deleted them from the sd card. I am not fmiliar with aperture so sorry if this is a dumb question. i just really want to be able to export, print and actually have my photos.

It is hard to guess, what might be wrong without more information.
First of all, what is your Aperture version and what is your MacOS X version?
my photos show that master image is not available
Where does Aperture expect your photos to be? You can see that, when you select one of the photos with the missing master/original and use the command "File > Locate Referenced Files".
This will open a panel, with the versions with missing master in the upper part, and to the right is a thumbnail of the selected image. Below the thumbnail is the file path the original file. What does it say? Are your missing photos still in that location?

Master images not available in Aperture 3

Hi,
I recently bought a 27" iMac. I moved all my data and apps from my 20" iMac.
All my image folders are present, and my photos are in there (Canon raw).
Aperture shows my photos in the correct library, but when I try to export them as jpgs, I get an error, something like "master images not locatable".
Anyone know how to fix this?

Corrrectamundo! I'm guessing you are right.
The library is trying to find the masters at the old location. You need to use the "Relocate Masters" command, under "File".
Under "Photos" (left tab), select all images, then do the Relocate Masters. You should then get a listing of all photos that are disconnected from the masters. Now point to the location where they actually are and do a reconnection. You may have to do this for all top-level projects.

OS4 background image not available for iPhone 3G??

Hey everyone, just installed iOS4 and it deleted all my contacts :((((
but I can't see how to use a background pic for the standard screen, like it was featured in the keynote video...is this feature not available for us lesser iPhone 3G users???

Image not available in catalog

Hello,
We have SRM MDM 5.5 P5 and we have uploaded photos in the record table. But images do not appear in the catalog "detail view". Instead we get the default "image not availble" red image.
Is special customizing/setting required to be able to watch images in catalogs?

Did you create Data Groups for your images. I believe you have to create data groups in MDM and then import them accordingly.

Contact Card Images not working.

When I try to enter an image into a contact card, after I enter the image and edit it the way I want it to look, it automatically zooms and crops the image even more. Hard to explain, here's a screen capture of it in action:

Thanks William. Yea, I thought that the whole resizing the image down to a small thumbnail was automatically done when you choose and edit a photo. At least it has in the past. Previously you could choose a crazy big picture to start with if you wanted. Whatever ended up in the circle for the contact image would be auto-converted, almost like the image in the circle would become a screen-shot. Didn't matter what size it was before.
Your suggestion I bet will work, and thank you for that. However it seems to be more work than it should be. Why would you be able to choose from your iPhoto library? They are all going to be too big. I think there's something else going on here that has bugged up the way it used to work.

Quick Edit in Elements 10 not available

My Panel Bin i grayed out under the Window bar and I can't use myQuick Edit options.
Full Edit is working, but guided and Quick are gone?
How do I get them back?
I can go via the Enhance tab but not on the right Panel Bin??

Lightroom does not support layers, which is why you have to save the layered files with Maximise Compatibility activated in Photoshop. This option saves a composite of the layered image within the file and it is the composite that Lightroom uses for previews, and editing. The layers themselves still exist within the file, but aren't used by Lightroom. This means that if you were to reopen the file from within Photoshop it will show all of your original layers.
One other gotcha is the fact that the layers will be flattened when you export an image from Lightroom. However, so long as you choose a new name for the exported file the layers will still remain within the original.

Edit / Free Transform image ( NOT PATH!)

I would like to do an edit / free transform to resize a layer in my image. I want to do this WHILE LOOKING AT a round path that I have created.
No problem in photoshop 7 , just turn on the path, select the image layer that I want to resize, edit/free transform and I can shrink the image while looking at the circular path to see how the image fits within the path.
In CS3, when i try to do an edit / free transform, instead of resizing the image, it wants to RESIZE THE PATH FOR SOME REASON. No, no, no. Leave the path alone. I want to SEE the path, but I do not want to resize the path. I want to resize the image while looking at how it fits within the path.
The only way that I see to resize the image is to turn off the path so I can no longer see the guide that i am using to determine the final image size / position. Obviously a major malfunction.
Hopefully, there is an easy workaround out there? Any help appreciated.

If you use the ctrl HTH workaround mentioned previously in this thread, it doesn't work for the situation where I need it the most.
I open an existing image with a circular path. I "paste in" an image from an email. What I used to do in photoshop 7 was edit free transform and i could freely shrink the image EVEN THOUGH THE PASTED IMAGE WAS LARGER (OUTSIDE THE BOUNDARIES OF) THE CURRENT IMAGE. The free transform would shrink the image to within the boundaries, then shrink further inside the path as needed. So Charles, you can see that the result of the CRTLHTH would be to size only the visible portion of the pasted image within the path. No, I need to size the WHOLE PASTED IMAGE even if it is outside the boundaries when pasted. Any workarounds appreciated. Maybe a CTRLPQHTH or something like that?

Ringtones and background images not available after call manager upgrade

Hi,
We have upgraded our call manager from version 8.5 to 10.5. Once after the upgrade we lost all the Ringtones and background images except the two default ringtone and background images. we got 8945 sccp phones(running 9-3-1 firmware) and 9951 sip phones(running 9-4-1 firmware). Both these phones lost these list. However the ringlist.xml is available in the tftp server with all the ringtones and the phones are pointed to the right tftp servers. I tried to restart the tftp servers and tried again, however that didn't help. we are using call manager 10.5 and h323 voice gateway. Could anyone please help on this.

I can see the ringtone files in the call manager (osadmin>tftp file mgmt), i have also restarted the tftp services, but it didn't help. I believe you advised to re-upload the ringlist file (Ringlist.xml) and try again. I will try this and update you. Please let me know if you have any other suggestions.

Photostream images not uploading to mac

Dear All,
I wonder if anyone knows why photos might suddenly stop uploading to one of my computers? I've been using the Day One app on my iPhone for a few days, and have just downloaded the Mac version. It sync'ed seamlessly to both MacBook and Mac Pro yesterday, but today not to the Mac Pro.
This seems to be an iCloud issue, rather than a Day One issue, but I could be wrong. The status markers for iCloud all seem fine, but something isn't working.
Does anyone have any ideas?
