Editing doucments in Adobe

Dear All,
We have configured ADS in our server also installed the required reader rights credential.
But users complain that they are not able to edit documents.
Please let me know whether it is a configuration issue or some other credential has to be installed in the server to attain editing facility.
Warm Regards

Hello Mazdul,
For SAP Interactive Forms by Adobe, you require the following:
Adobe Acrobat as of Version 7.0.9
Adobe Reader as of Version 7.0.9
Note that you can only have limited use of Reader 8.0 for forms that, at runtime, are integrated in a web dynpro application through the xACF technology (Active Components Framework). In this runtime environment, Reader 8.0 currently only supports static interactive forms. If you are using dynamic interactive PDF forms, we recommend that you use Reader 7.0.9. In the application, you can use parameters, or you can call methods, to determine whether you want to create a static or dynamic PDF form.

  • Video editing & playback issues: Adobe Premiere Elements 8

    Hello all,
I have made several attempts at transfering HD video  files from my camcorder to my PC and then editing.
When I try to play the transferred file, it is a little choppy and then gets worse as I edit it.
    Here are my specs/config:
    System:
    HP Pavilion a6720y
    Windows Vista 64 bit
    NVIDIA GeForce GT 440
AMD Phenon 9550 Quad Core 2.2Ghz
    6GB RAM
    640GB SATA drive, 7200 rpm
    Camera:
    Sony HDR-XR150
    Editing Software:
    Adobe Premiere Elements 8
I copy the video files from the camcorder to the computer via USB 2.0.
When I connect the camera directly to the TV the video plays without any issues.  So I know the AVCHD files are "good" and I suspect they are also possibly "good" on my hard drive, but just cannot be played or edited appropriately for some reason.
One input I received was that due to the nature of AVCHD files, I should convert the video to "I-frame codec" and then edit.  Can Adobe Premiere Elements do this?
    Any other thoughts/ideas?
    Thanks for any help.

I edit AVCHD (with PPro) with THREE hard drives
My 3 hard drives are configured as...
    1 - 320Gig Boot for Win7 64bit Pro and all program installs
2 - 320Gig data for Win7 swap file and video project files
When I create a project on #2 drive, the various work files follow,
so my boot drive is not used for the media cache folder and files
3 - 1Terabyte data for all video files... input & output files (*)
(*) for 4 drives, drive 3 all source files & drive 4 all output files
Search Microsoft to find out how to redirect your Windows swap file

Trying to use only ONE Hard Drive for Video Editing
You are a music conductor, with a baton that you use to point to various parts of the orchestra... this is like Windows pointing to various parts of the hard drive to do Windows housekeeping or to load program segments for various functions
Now, at the same time and with the same hand... while still using the baton to conduct the orchestra... pick up a bow and play a fiddle... this would be doing something with your video file at the same time as all the other work
You as a person cannot do both at the same time with the same hand
A computer is a LITTLE better, in that it can switch from one kind of task to another very quickly... but not quickly enough for EASY video editing
You need AT LEAST two hard drives (separate drives, never a partition http://forums.adobe.com/thread/650708 for more) with Windows (or Mac OS) and software on your boot drive, and video files on a 2nd drive so the boot drive is not slowed down by trying to do everything
I find that the three drives I use work very well for me, for editing AVCHD video... some people use a 4th drive, so video INPUT files are on drive three and all OUTPUT files are on drive four... I only bought a mid-tower case instead of a full tower case (my bad... but had to fit in the space available on my office desk!) so I use the three drives that will fit
Depending on your exact hardware (motherboard brand & model AND USB2 enclosure brand & model AND external hard drive brand & model) AND the type of video file, you may... or may NOT... be able to use an external USB2 hard drive for SD (Standard Definition) video editing
Steve Grisetti in the Premiere Elements forum http://forums.adobe.com/thread/856208 and Jim Simon in the Premiere Pro forum http://forums.adobe.com/thread/856433 use USB externals for editing
A USB3 hard drive connected to a motherboard with USB3 is supposed to be fast enough for video editing (I don't have such, so don't know) but eSata DOES have a fast enough data transfer for video editing... I have not used the eSata Dock below... for reference only, YMMV and all the usual disclaimers

  • Editing Forms in Adobe Acrobat XI

How do I create a form in FormsCentral, save it in an editable PDF version, and edit it in Adobe Acrobat Pro XI?

In FormsCentral save the form as PDF using File-> Save as PDF Form...  If you do not intend for the form to use FormsCentral to collect responses then in the resulting dialog select button Don't Collect Responses.  Open the resulting file in Acrobat Pro and use File-> Save a Copy...  Open the copy in Acrobat Pro and select Tools-> Forms.  You should now be able to edit the form.

  • Prevent repositioning text elements in an editable PDF in Adobe Reader?

    Hi!
I've made a business card using editable text fields using Tools > Content > Add or Edit Text Box. To make it possible for my client to update the text fields the PDF are saved using File > Save as > Render Extended PDF > Enable Additional Features. Ok, so now when the client opens the business card in Adobe Reader (not Acrobat Pro) to fill out some new information for a new employee for instance they just click each text to fill out some new info. So far so good. But I noticed that it's also possible to move around those editable textfields within Adobe Reader which I really don't want! How can I look them in place preventing the client to move around them?
    Thanks!

    Thanks for your quick respond!
I'm trying to edit the "Security Method" in the "Security" tab with no luck. It says "You cannot change security on this document because the document is signed or certified". At the bottom of the security tab following information is displayed "* This document restricts some Acrobat features to allow for extended features in Adobe Reader. To create a copy of the document that is not restricted (and has no extended features in Adobe Reader), choose File > Save as Copy. I tried this but still don't have it working.
First, what security method do I need to set it to? I can see the option Filling of form fields - Not allowed * but is not allowed to select any Security method at all?

  • Editing images in Adobe Reader

I have set up a form template in Indesign, using form fields, so that customers can edit their contact information and image.  I know that you can edit this information in Acrobat, but is it possible to edit these things in Adobe Reader?  I have opened the document in Reader, but it looks like I can only edit the text.  My main question is this:  is it possible to edit the images in Reader like you can in Acrobat?  Thanks for any help.

    HI kyleatpulp
Adobe Reader is a free product to view PDF files only, You cannot edit files using Adobe Reader. Please use acrobat to edit the pdf files.

Is it possible to save or export an e-book chapter from Adobe Digital Editions? Is it possible to export or save from Adobe Digital Editions to an Adobe pdf?

I hope you won't see this as rude, but what you are missing is the obvious point that Adobe are in business to make money. So they put as little in Adobe Reader as they can, so people are motivated to buy stuff. Every development intended for Reader has severe limitations on feasibility and techniques for this reason; it's a huge (but very common) mistake to just develop for Acrobat and assume Reader will follow.

  • Adding editable charts in adobe 9 pro

How do you insert an editable chart in Adobe Acrobat 9 Professional? I create bank forms and we are still behind the times. . .Just wondering if anybody has solutions out there. I'm going to attempt to insert an editable chart that has to do with Credit Scores

There isn't anything like a built-in charting component that's available. There are tricks you can do with JavaScript, but there aren't a lot of resources available that can help you learn about this specifically.

  • "Edit Clip in Adobe Audition" is greyed out in CS6.

In Adobe Premiere CS6, "Edit Clip in Adobe Audition" is greyed out.  How can I change that?  I have Adobe Audition CS6 installed as well.  I have Production Premium CS6.

    I've solved it.
    Here's what I did:
    1) Put in my Adobe CS6 Production Premium install discs and re-installed the programs that I had chosen.  All of them (except for the 32-bit versions of software that was available in 64-bit).
    2) Let all of the programs finish the install.  I believe that Premiere needs Audition to be installed first, so that it recognizes that it's there, and that's a natural progression when installing all of Production Premium.
    3) That's it.  I opened Premiere, and found that it could connect with Audition.

  • Edit images in Adobe Photoshop Elements

I am helping a student who is running iPhoto on Maverick.  He wants to edit his images in Photoshop Elements.  We set his preferences to do this but when he selects an image and clicks on Edit, all he gets is the welcome page of Photoshop Elements.  The image doesn't open in Elements.  What could we be doing wrong?
    Mary Lou

Previous versions would install a folder with the file you want, Adobe Photoshop Elements Editor.app, buried one layer down in another folder named Support Files.  That's the one you want to select from iPhoto.
I don't know if the layout of the installed files is the same with the newest version. However, the following may be of help:
Using Photoshop or Photoshop Elements as Your Editor of Choice in iPhoto.
1 - select Photoshop or Photoshop Elememts as your editor of choice in iPhoto's General Preference Section's under the "Edit photo:" menu.
2 - double click on the thumbnail in iPhoto to open it in Photoshop.  When you're finished editing click on the Save button. If you immediately get the JPEG Options window make your selection (Baseline standard seems to be the most compatible jpeg format) and click on the OK button. Your done.
3 - however, if you get the navigation window
that indicates that  PS wants to save it as a PS formatted file.  You'll need to either select JPEG from the menu and save (top image) or click on the desktop in the Navigation window (bottom image) and save it to the desktop for importing as a new photo.
This method will let iPhoto know that the photo has been editied and will update the thumbnail file to reflect the edit..
With Photoshop Elements  the Saving File preferences should be configured as shown:
I also suggest the Maximize PSD File Compatabilty be set to Always.  In PSE’s General preference pane set the Color Picker to Apple as shown:
    Screenshots are from PSE 10
Note 1:  to switch between iPhoto and PS or PSE as the editor of choice Control (right)-click on the thumbnail and select either Edit in iPhoto or Edit in External Editor from the contextual menu. If you use iPhoto to edit more than PSE re-select iPhoto in the iPhoto General preference pane. Then iPhoto will be the default editor and you can use the contextual menu to select PSE for your editor when desired.
Note 2:  editing a RAW file with either PSE or PS creates a new file which must be saved outside of iPhoto, i.e. the Desktop, and imported as a new photo into the iPhoto Library.

  • Hi please can you help me. I have photoshop CS5 extended, I bought a new camera Nikon D610 I want to edit my photos adobe camera raw , but when I try to open photoshop CS5 it will not open. Please can you tell me how to download and install the camera raw

HI bought a new camera Nikon D610 , I am using adobe photoshop CS5 extended, I want to edit my photos in camera raw but it is not possible to do so . I need to download camera raw plugin for CS5 can some tell me how to do so or if there is a link for the camera plugin.
    Many thanks Pitt.

For that Nikon model you need ACR 8.3 that means CS6 or CC.  Or you can download the DNG converter convert your Nikon RAW files to Adobe RAW files. And then process the Adobe RAW files with CS5 ACR version  6.7
