Editing effects/mixer so that it varies over the length of the track

hi, i am new to logic and producing in general. is it possible to edit perhaps the eq of a track in real time so that it changes as the song progresses? i am assuming it is possible to do this with the levels, so you could have a track perhaps fade in and out. does anyone care to describe this process or point me in the right direction as to where i would go to look?

Logic has a lot to offer for this. Go to Help > Logic Express 8 User Manual, and start reading at page 605. The first couple of pages are probably the most interesting for you; just see when it gets boring
Basically, you can either draw lines that tell Logic to change whatever parameter you want (like the frequency or gain of an EQ plugin), or "record" the knobs you move with your mouse while the song is playing. Anyway, it's all explained on page 605 and further.

its ok i just pulled the plug from the Apple TV waited 3 minutes and plugged back in and now it works.

So when you edit in iCloud you are not seeing an update on your iphone?. I just did a test in iCloud.com and it changed my iPhone contact list in less than 1 second. So iCloud is functioning fine.
If you delete all the contacts on your iPhone and if you are properly synced they will all be wiped out on iCloud.....ugh! So let's not do that...
Your plan should be to make all the changes in iCloud and have them flow down to your iPhone. That sounds what you are trying to do anyway.
So. if you delete a contact in iCloud or edit a contact in iCloud then you are not seeing the changes on your iPhone?
If so then they are not properly synced..... but I wonder how you have any contacts in iCloud.
Let me know if you are seeing any changes, if mot then we can review the syncing set-up.

I have a transparent picture in my document. How do I get the text, that is typed over the picture, to not fade in color? I want all the text to be the same black color.

I am creating a form and would like to put the conference logo in he background. I added it and made it transparent but I want the text to not change it's shade of black when I type over the picture. Is there a way to make that happen?

My iPhone 5 has really sporadic battery percentage that jumps all over the place and every so often the phone turns off

Hi guys!
I'm having trouble with my iphone 5, the battery percentage jumps all over the place. It will be down at 14% and then I plug the charger in and it jumps to 50%, it jumps around without me plugging the charger in. Today it actually turned off twice and had the red icon to plug it in and when I plugged it in it had turned straight on and was at 27%.
Any ideas what could be causing this? Its really annoying because when I'm out I'm not really able to rely on the battery indicator being correct.
Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

That sounds really similar! I'm not sure what to so about it, I bought a mobile battery pack to charge my phone while I'm on the go as this seems to make the percentage instantly jump back up again. If I don't get any ideas on here ill probably take it in to an apple store and see if I get any joy there. I'll let u know the outcome if I do go to a store, maybe I can at least buy one at a reduced rate or something. I got my iphone 5 on the day of release so I'm outside warranty too :(

Turn off Lightroom 5 Undo/Redo Notifications that show up over the photo.

Is there any way to turn off the notification that comes up whenever I undo/redo something in Lightroom 5? It shows up on the lower side of the middle of my photo and is very annoying when trying to edit photos.

Silly question first... when "deleting duplicates", did you delete the picturs or music folders? :}
Are the "Previous system" folders still there? Are the photos/music inside the recent Previous folder?
Have you tried doing a search for the files?
Do you have a new account set up, that you are now signed in to, rather than your old account?

There is a little chance that your pictures are included in your last iCloud or iTunes backup, if the photos were stored in the camera roll. Otherwise they are probably gone. For the future I would suggest to start saving your photos additionally (in iPhoto etc.) on your Mac or PC or any other cloud storage like Dropbox.

important since the JVM is a stack-based architecture (in other words, if you don't make the distinction, than your
list contains [almost] all of the JVM opcodes).You're right. So then, what exactly are POP, DUP, etc doing? Are they taking from the frame?First thing to remember is that the frame and operand stack are logically different: the frame contains method parameters and local variables, while the operand stack is used for intermediate results. They may be implemented using a single processor stack (in X86 terms, the BP register would point to the start of the frame, while pushes and pops would modify the SP), but don't have to be. I think the JVM spec even talks about storing frames in the heap.

To your question about dup and so forth, I was hoping to demonstrate that with the repeated reference to variable "c"; instead, the compiler translated that into the two iload operations (opcodes 4 and 5). I suppose it makes sense, but it shows just how little optimization the compiler attempts to do -- instead, it relies on Hotspot being smart enough to optimize hardware accesses.
The iconst_5 opcode is another example of something that affects the operand stack but not the frame: it pushes a hardcoded constant value onto the stack.
It's also another case where the JVM defines several opcodes that do the same thing: the iconst_n for values -1 to 5, bipush for values that are outside this range but still smaller than a byte, sipush for values that will fit into a short, and ldc for everything else. The goal is efficient code generation: 1-3 bytes for most of the integer values that you're likely to load. The ldc opcode is interesting in its own right: it does a lookup into a per-class table to find the value to push. Not very efficient in terms of CPU cycles and memory access (although it can be inlined by Hotspot), but again efficient from a bytecode perspective: if you're loading a large constant, there's at least a chance that you'll be loading it multiple times.

I'm doing userchromecss customization of firefox 3.0.19 on slackware linux 12.2 and none of the css lines I've tried would ever change (in size and style) the font inside the hover box. I've tried same css lines on thunderbird and seamonkey and they work, but not on firefox. Here are the css lines I've tride:

If it isn't working for you on the toolbars then your Linux distribution may be disabling it somehow.

How can I organize video clips that are all over the place???

I have clip everywhere. It is horrible. I can't even tell what I have. iMovie can't access video not in the "library" which is iPhoto but iPhoto won't accept my earlier video... ie quicktime.mov. What in the world can I do to get ALL my video clips in one place sorted by year, viewable and accessible to iMovie?

Before I begin I am somewhat daunted by the contents of my Pictures folder, which contains, among other items, a number of folders named 2002 to 2006 and folders called Modified, Originals and Data which also contain year-named folders.
I think I can guess the nature of Originals and Modified but is there a quick way of spotting any duplication before bundling folders or files into a custom folder?
And at the end of the exercise, is there a way of preserving the chronological order of folders/photos as currently viewed in the iPhoto browser?

I am concerned about personal data being not encryption in transit over the Internet and therefore can be seen by other people.

I am a new Firefox user. I have just installed Firefox 4 on my windows PC today, 5/27/11. I have two major questions:
1. Accidentally, I clicked some thing at random on the screen (I can't remember what it was) and this page, http://us.config.toolbar.yahoo.com/bh/v2/wp/?view=wc&intl=us&pc=yma3&dc=v2_upgd&cv=2.3., showed up under Yahoo! Toolbar. It informed me that the connection was not encrypted and that information sent over the Internet could be seen by other people. I am not sure what the warning is all about. Does it mean when I use Firefox as a browser to access the Yahoo! and other Internet sites, e.g., my bank, all my personal (username, password, etc.) and bank data will be seen by other unauthorized people? I have never seen a similar warning from other browsers, such as Internet Explorer and Safari? So, if Firefox does not offer protection of personal data, I wonder what's the point of using it. I could have misinterpreted the Firefox warning and would highly appreciated it if you can clarify.
2. During the installation process, a message showed that Firefox 4 was not compatible with certain features of some of the software already on my PC. I did not copy those features and do not remember what they were except one that was associated with my firewall ZoneAlarm. I could be wrong but I think the message also said Firefox had removed the incompatible features. Please tell me if I should be concerned about it, especially the one that was removed from ZoneAlarm. Will my PC become susceptible to hacker invasions when I use Firefox as the browser? I wish Firefox had given some written explanations along with the incompatibility and removal message so that a user can understand exactly what it is about.
I would appreciate to hearing from you at your earliest convenience. I have tentatively suspended using Firefox until I can be assured that it is safe to do so without potentially compromising my personal data.

That is a generic warning message that you get if you submit a form via a normal HTTP connection (i.e not in via a secure HTTPS connection). That warning pop-up probably has a box to suppress this message in the future.

Itunes erased every song i've downloaded over the last six months

I just had my computer fixed and had to download itunes again then when i connected my i pood it wldnnt recognize tht it was attatched unless i selected to have the songs on this new library put on my ipod which is stupid there was no songs in the library and every song that i accumulated over the last 6 was erased i think this is an error on you programing teams side why would anyone want to erase there library just to connect to a new library and why wont it show that my ipod is connected unless i selected tht option what if i wanted tto just add a couple songs from a different library i have to erase everything i accumulated i think your songs are way to expensive i can go purchase a whole cd for 12.99 wiith 20+ songs if your store was more reasonable you would get more busn. I read in a magazine that your sales are down this year i think its because your products outdated now sony has this new mp3 player called bean holds more songs smaller and can charge in up to three mins. Also who do you think wld spend the 7500dlrs it wld take to fill one of your big ipods

Will I get charged for going over the CC limit?

I have a CC that I just basically maxed out without going over the limit but was real close. I want to know if when they calculate the interests on the debt with that put me over the limit on the card which will then trigger them to charge me a fee for going over the limit? I know I should not do this but I have a check coming in a couple of months that will clear the debt completely so no worries there. Thanks in advance
