Editing Image In CS5 32/64 from Elements 9 Still doesn't work! Why?
Ever since upgrading from Elements 5 (which worked fine with the various versions of CS5 fine for years) to v7, v8, and for the past 6 months v9 - I cannot reliably use the Edit in Photoshop command from the organizer in elements!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I end up with the file being deleted or Elements doesn't know that the file is no longer not being edited and refuses to turn off "Edit in Progress".
Has anyone come up with a way to do this that does not result in your file and or catalog not being deleted?
This is really ridiculous.
Why is this such a problem for two programs that are from the same company? Not to mention it is a choice on a menu?
Further, it is not specific to just one PC. I upgraded my Photoshop PC to a newer model during this time and the new one is just the same as the previous.
It’s worth checking that CS5 is correctly set up in the prefs.
In the Organizer go to:
Edit à Preferences à Editing
Check the box “Use A Supplementary Editing Application”
Then browse to the Photoshop Editor.

How can I upload a video from my PC through I tunes to camera roll on my iPhone? Is there an app or format of specific video supported? Sync from photos include video doesn't work for me.
download the new you tube apps in i tunes, in os6 just pick a video in the photos apps and select share, the old you tube app icon will appear

Scanning in Mavericks? I can no longer use the scanning function in my HP Officejet 4500.
HP says to go through Preview, Image Capture, or Print/Scan in System Prefs.

Today, I followed your other advice, and deleted the printer, deleted the /Library/Printer/hp folder, downloaded the entire set of driver, re-installed the printer twice, once with the driver, once with Bonjour.
The Bonjour Printer has the scan option active, but it is doesn't work (refer to above.), it is called M1217nfw
The Apple Driver Printer doesn't show the scan option at all, it is called M1217nf (as on the http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669#HP list.) This model number doesn't exist, as far as I can tell.
Still, everything works perfectly in Snow Leopard, for a MF printer that has been manufactured years after Snow Leopard was released.
Why going up in software version means going backwards in compatiblity for brand new product is really the question that puzzles me here. -
The Pages stop working on my computer when I upgraded OS to Mountain Lion. I reinstalled iWork from CD and updated to 9.3 version from Apple store. I also restarted computer before opening the iWork. It still doesn't work. It keeps giving me the error page. The same thing with Numbers. Only Keynotes opens. What else can I do? Heeelp please!
We are not omniscient. Use screencapture on the error page. Shift + Command + 4 … then drag the cross-hairs around the error, and release. The Screen Shot will be written to your Desktop. Use the camera icon in this editor’s tool bar to embed that Screen Shot of your error in a follow-up post here.
Did you move the Pages and Numbers applications out of /Application/iWork ’09 folder, where they are expected to reside? Did you run /Applications/Utilities/Disk Utility.app, and on your boot drive, verify/repair permissions? -

remove your caps database. this shows the location for cs3. make the obvious changes for cs5.

I am suddenly unable to update or download apps on my iphone 3G. It says "the download will be available after you log in to itunes from your computer." I never had to do that before. Even when I do log in from the computer, the download still doesn't work. So what's going on? Why would I need to go the computer to download an app to my phone? That defeats the whole purpose of having the phone, which is to do stuff when you are not at the computer!@!@ Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

As Jocheim points out, this is not the place to get help. My guess is that you need Photoshop Just choose the appropriate sub-forum.
Also, this ARTICLE might be very useful at gathering the types of info, that will help others help you. Note: much relates to Adobe Premiere, so you can skip over those parts, but you should get the general idea.

Photostream from PC to Ipad doesn't work
Hello, I have installed ICloud on my Ipad en on my Windows 8 laptop. Photostream from Ipad to laptop is ok but from laptop to Ipad doesn't work.
I have contacted Apple support but the couldn't figure it out, I tried everything: disable firewall in router and laptop, also disabeld Defender, installed a new
ICloud, installed new OS on the Ipad, all the photo's are in the upload folder, the battery of the Ipad is 100% filled, the Wifi works ok. etc.etc. I suppose that
there must be a wrong configuration somewhere, perhaps the Wifi must be in BootP on the Ipad or I have to enable a kind of service in the laptop or perhaps
it is just a stupidity from me? Who has an idea?

Bought a new iPhone 6 and synced from iTunes but vibration doesn't work. I did the reset option using side and home buttons but in vain. Please don't tell me to set up a new device coz its gonna be a hassle restoring apps, emails, contacs...etc.
Try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose any data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.

I would get your brother to help with that info - you'll owe him, so watch out!!!
Without that info, it's almost like saying "my car won't start. What's wrong?"
And then when people begin to ask, "is there gas in the tank? Is the battery charged? Do you have the right key for that car?" and you say, "I don't know," it leaves them in a lurch.
Don't tell your brother that he's helping you learn about both computers and video-editing, or he'll demand higher payment. Just tell him that some guy on the PrE forum asked for some info to help you. Act like it's homework, or something, or he'll get smug, and you will not be able to live with him, if he knows how much he helped. Brothers are like that.

Are you not seeing the icon of the app you just downloaded (it happens sometimes, and the quick fix is to reset your iPad)? Or are you running out of space on your iPad?

AirPort Time Capsule. Read everything and tried everything. Can't get a guest network to work. Switched from bridge mode and still doesn't work. Anyone able to set up a guest network?
I had a bright house cable modem that also had built-in wi-fi.
Don't mean to be picky here, but if the "modem" had built in Wi-Fi, it was not a modem. It was a modem/router, also known as a gateway type of device.
A device like this combines the functions of a separate modem and separate router in one package. Turning off the wireless on a device like this does not make a it modem.....it is still a modem/router or gateway with the WiFi turned off.
I think that if I have them replace the current "complicated" modem with a "simple" one I should be able to get the guest network up and running.
That would be correct. Hopefully, they offer this type of option for their customers. -
