Editing in Elements 3

After correcting the color cast in a photo in one of my albums using Elements 3, I cannot seem to get the corrected picture back into the album. I suspect that I'm not saving it correctly. Here's what I'm doing in the event someone can help me. I've fixed the color cast problem>clicked o.k.> saved (and tried save as) and when I return the iPhoto the pic is not corrected. Is there someting I'm missing in the save process that is causing the problem?

If you create layers in the file or do certain edits the save will automatically change the format to .psd. If that happens you either need to flatten the image and save as a jpg or save it to the desktop as a .psd file and reimport.

Hi Govind,
You can't insert Text Edit as a cell variant in table. But you can increase the 'Width' property of Input Field, say to 500px or as per your requirement, so that you can display the full text at one go. Or you can bind the 'Width' property to a context and set the width at run time as per the text length.

Simply save the project file from the slideshow editor interface, after adding your video and stills.
To find your saved projects type PSESS into the Organizer search bar.

How do I configure RAW editing with Elements 11

I have a new camera, Lumix TZ60, I've taken photos and when I tried editing in Elements 11 I had a message '- - - Visit Camera RAW help' does this mean the camera manufacturer or check with Adobe?
Any help would be appreciated.

The TZ60 was first supported in Adobe Camera Raw 8.4 which is only compatible with Elements 12 and newer.
So you'll never be able to edit Raw files from the TZ60 in Elements 11.

Using Mac Snow leopard and Lightroom 3.4.1 and when trying to edit in Elements the Elements edit app opens but the file does not appear. To edit I have to open file/open and navigate to the file?

Hi,
When you select elements as your additional ext editor there are two options in the elements folder. One called just elements 10 which is an alias or shortcut and another called elements 10 app and this is the one you need to select, NOT the alias. This solved the problem for me.

How can I transfer photos from lightroom 5 after editing to elements 12 for final editing?

I think you need to be a member of Elements Village to open attachments at that link. You can do the setup in Lightroom prefs. From the Library go to:
Edit >> Preferences
Then select the External Editing tab.
Click the choose button in the section for Additional External Editor and then navigate to Photoshop Elements Editor application to complete the set up.
You need to start the round trip from LR as follows and use the save command (Ctrl+S) not save as:
1) Ctrl+E in the Library to export selected image with develop settings (I choose PSD)
2) Edit in Photoshop; then Ctrl+S to replace (overwrite) Lightroom export copy
3) Ctrl+W to close in Photoshop and update Lightroom thumbnail

None of my pictures that I uploaded into iPhoto are in my Finder under Pictures. Should I copy and paste my folders from iPhoto into here, in case something happens to my iPhoto program (in addition to backing them up onto an external hard drive like I already do)?
No, that's just wasting space. A back up needs to be on a different disk.
Your photos are within the iPhoto Library.

When you installed version 10 did you convert your previous catalog?
If so, your projects should appear in the PSE10 Organizer. To search for them type PSESS into the search box.
You should then be able to open the project by double clicking on its thumbnail.
Then choose Output >> Edit in Premier Elements

I want just want to change plattform, Adobe Photoshop Elements 13 & Adobe Premiere Elements 13 Student and Teacher Edition (Windows,Svenska).
I´ve ordered Windows but i want the macversion.
Does anybody know why the adobe support takes soon long time to fix this small thing. I haven't downloaded the program.
Is this normal ??? Has anyone else experienced the same thing?

Svea support the license for Photoshop and Premiere Elements 13 is a multi platform license. Have you downloaded the installation files and ran the installation with the serial number you received?

Editing in elements and lightroom

Pictures edited in elements that were sent from lightroom are not returned to lightroom after they are saved in elements. Why?

What versions of LR and PS Elements are you using?
What file type are you working with in LR, raw or rendered jpeg/tiff?
Could you provide more detail as to what choices to made when sending the file from LR and what option did you choose to save the file when finished in Elements "save" or "save as"? Did you make a name change to the file?

Editing design elements in acrobat without losing field demarcation

I've created a form and as opposed to having acrobat pro 9.0 detect the fields, I've demarcated them myself using the "add text field" function. The form works great but when I open the file in indesign and resave as a pdf, I lose all the fields added.
Is there anything I can do to avoid having to go back each time and add text field to each form element everytime I have to edit the file in InDesign?

File won't open to edit in Elements from LR2

When choose to open LR photo in external editor Elements 6.0, Elements opens, but the photo (jpg or cr) doesn't open. What to do?
File opens ok to edit in CS4.
Can open in Elements on Laptop 1, running Vista. Not working on Laptop 2 running XP.Elements opens files ok on it's own, but not from LR.
Camera Raw plug in on Elements 6..0 is 4.2, ADM is 3.10.12.
Have optimized catalog.

I've continued to work on the puzzle without success. Have uninstalled & reinstalled PSE6. Have cleared preferences. Have defragged. Have run repair in add/remove programs. Have downloaded trial version PSE7. Same result with PSE7. Program opens, file doesn't. I tried booting in safe mode & PSE6 wouldn't open at all with LR open.
I'll play around with startup items in msconfig next, but basically not expecting to use PSE as an editor on this computer.
Again, I get no error messages, the program opens from LR, but the file doesn't.

Can't open iphoto file to edit in Elements 10 even though external editor is set

Right clicking on iphoto file, selecting "edit in external editor" resullts in spinning beach ball. Each attempt at opening a file initiates a reopening of Elements even though it is already opened.

Can you open images normally in Photoshop Elements? I would recommend including this information as well as which verson of iPhoto and Mac OS you are using to the Photoshop Elements forum. It might also possibly be a problem with iPhoto but the users in the Photoshop Elements forum should better be able to determine where the problem lies.

Photo Editing, Photoshop elements 4.0 doesn't work with snow leopard?

Tried reinstalling photoshop elements after upgrading to snow leopard and message came back not compatible. ? , what version is that doesn't break you wallet and can do some decent photo editing including cutting and removing parts of images, pasting, etc. thanks

The latest version, 8, can be had for around $79, and is an amazing editor for the price. If you're not familiar with it's features I suggest you visit the site and see what it can do. Here's a list of several editors that support layers for editing:

IMO PSE gives you more bang for the buck. If I didn't have Photoshop (given to me) I would buy it in a second. Version 8 has more features that I use than PS CS3.

Is there a tool or method for editting line elements on a pdf form?

We have recently created about 200 different acrobat forms with field elements. We started with MS Word and converted to PDF using Acrobat Professional then we added in the form elements. However the customer wants many lines removed or modified, table borders changed etc. Is there a tool out there that will allow me to edit the pdf directly and delete a line or fill in a gap in a table? We do not want to revert back to the word versions and start all over again.
As an example please view this file: http://kendallrace.com/cas.pdf We need to remove that half outlined table cell in the upper left, we need to remove the underlines in the middle of the page. And sometimes the border of a table cell might not be outlined so we need to draw a line to finish the outline.
