Editing properties of some of my mu

Can anyone help me understand how to edit the properties of some of my music please? For instance, some tracks are from compilation albums and I'd like to rename them and add them to the folder of the artist. Some are also oddly named for other reasons. Any help will be appreciated. Kezzer.

In Media Source highlight the tracks you want to edit, right click them and go to "Edit Properties" where you can change every?entry of the songs and retag them, then you right click again and click "update tag" and the changes are saved.

  • Edit properties missing columns for some documents

    SP 2010
    I created a new document library and added several choice columns.  I copied about 150 files from an old document library using folders to the new document library.  23 files of the 150 will not let me see anything other than the file name when
    I select Edit Properties.
    I downloaded one of the files, renamed it, and uploaded it as a new document.  It also will not show anything other than the file name.  These are MS Word .docx file types.  When I use the Document Information Panel it does not show the columns
    from the document library (where I opened it from).
    What might be causing these few select files to not allow metadata to be set?

    After some more trial I understand, it is not "Some" of the documents.
    This issue is with ID having "_" (underscore) in their names.

  • How to change properties for some controls in runtime ?

    hi,
    I would like to change some of the properties for some controls in front panel in runtime. Number of control properties I want to change is depending of a log file user opens in final application.
    I attach an example where I'm trying to change the visibility of numeric controls. Problem I have I don't know which reference to connect to property node in case the control in for loop is not a numeric control. The example relies to label.text property but I could use the more generic classname property as well.

    I think this should probably be changed in future versions, because even if each control had a caption, it would still be a negligible small part of the VI. The current behavior made sense many years ago where HD and memory space was very precious. Not any more!
    This issue comes up often enough that it warrants addressing the root of the problem.
    It is hard to convince the casual that the caption does not exist if he can simply do a "show caption" at edit time and it will show in all glory, even with the default set to the current label. It is confusing!
    There is even an idea about this that seems worth supporting (also read the link in the discussion).

  • "View Properties" and "Edit Properties" extremely slow

    Hello,
    I have a weird issue on a new Sharepoint 2013-installation. It's currently configured with one web application and one site collection. It uses some customization, but within "normal limits", mainly metadata- and search-related. The "core"
    is one document library with around 30.000 items. The customization offers a GUI-filter-system where you can select through the metadata which kind of document you want to open, so there's never more than about 1000 documents in one view. In some views it's
    less than 10 documents.
    Now, when I try to "View Properties" of a document, it takes the browser around 30 seconds to open the dialogbox. Same with "Edit Properties". Everything else (like version history) opens in the expected amount of time and everything
    else on the system also works well regarding performance.
    In the IIS-logs I can see that opening the DispForm.aspx of that item takes about 30 seconds. In the Sharepoint-Logs I can see that the Sharepoint works on the issue, but (what I have never seen before) between lines there are sometimes "pauses"
    of 3 seconds, where the system just isn't doing anything.
    CPU and RAM-utilization are normal and not spiking. The system is well equipped with CPU and RAM (more than 50% are unused during my tests).
    My question is: Where is the bottleneck? Why is THIS operation taking so long and what can I do to analyze it? Anyone has any ideas?
    Many thanks, Aaron

    Hi Aaron,
    For this issue, I recommend to use Network in F12 tool in Internet Explorer(IE) to capture the requests sent after clicking the View Properties and Edit Properties in the ribbon.
    Check the requests and find which request takes much long time and then go the detailed view of that request to see what does that request need to load.
    Sometimes, big pictures, JavaScript codes, etc may cause this issue.
    Please also check if this issue only occurs with the view item form and edit item form.
    Thanks,
    Victoria

    Hi siyavuş
    You can do this by taking the edit link off the report and putting it into your report SQL.
    Use something like Select CASE WHEN (condition)  THEN
    'Put your edit link in here as an html Anchor like<a href="(target)">Edit</a>'
    ELSE
    tt.value
    END edit_link

  • Lately I've been importing photos from my iPhone and when I attempt to edit them they seem to disappear.  Some reappper as a photo stream pic (some as the edited version and some not).  But they no longer appear as a recent import.  Lots more happens

    Lately I've been importing photos from my iPhone to iPhoto and when I attempt to edit them they seem to disappear.  Some reappper as a photo stream pic (some as the edited version and some not).  But they no longer appear as a recent import.  Lots more happens and I'm wondering if it's because I have a 5-year old Mac book or iPhoto is having issues.  I'm not happy with disappearing photos especially after I've deleted them from my iphone after importing them to my macbook.
    Has anyone experienced similar difficulties and what can I do?

    Remember: we cannot see your machine. There are 9 different versions of iPhoto and they run on 8 different versions of the Operating System. The tricks and tips for dealing with issues vary depending on the version of iPhoto and the version of the OS.  So to get help you need to give as much information as you can. Basic things like :
    - What version of iPhoto.
    - What version of the Operating System.
    - Details. As full a description of the problem as you can. For instance: 'iPhoto won't export' is best explained by describing how you are trying to export, and so on.
    - History: Is this going on long? Has anything been installed or deleted?
    - Are there error messages?
    - What steps have you tried already to solve the issue.
    - Anything unusual about your set up? Or how you use iPhoto?
    Anything else you can think of that might help someone understand the problem you have.

  • I want to edit properties of the interface windows opened while "Open File", "Save Page As" and interface opened during Downloading of any file.

    I am doing a small project on dedicated web client where in user automatically logs in non-root user and Firefox automatically starts.
    I am using Fedora 14 kernel 2.6.35.12-88.fc14.i686 and Firefox 3.6.16.
    I have installed only Gnome in my computer with no Nautilus or other file browser on it.
    I want to edit properties of the interface windows opened while "Open File", "Save Page As" and interface opened during Downloading of any file.
    Please guide me for this.

    First, I sent an email to the author of PhotoME to inform him of the serious issues his addon caused with Firefox latest versions.
    Now, for those of you who do not have the PhotoME addon and yet experience the same problem that I had and that I described above, I suggest the following strategy.
    As PhotoME did cause these problems with Firefox latest versions, I am pretty covinved other addons probably might cause these problems too. Therefore, adopt the following method.
    Test one addon at a time to see if this particular addon is behind your Firefox issues like the ones I had.
    So, disable one addon only at a time. Then close your Firefox and restart it from scratch and see if you still have your Firefox problems. You must restart the Firefox browser from scratch. If you still have these Firefox problems, re-enable the disabled addon, restart your Firefox (again!) and repeat the same method for every single addon that you have.
    Try to be selective by choosing first addons that are more likely to cause your Firefox problems such as not very well-known or not very popular addons (like it was the case for the PhotoME addon).
    If this method works or if it does not work, report it on this web page so that others can be helped with your comments.
    I hope this method will help you because I was really upset that I had these Firefox problems and I first thought it was the fault of Firefox, only to discover later that this PhotoME addon was the culprit and had caused me such upset.

    <Elements xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/sharepoint/">

  • Old third-party tool causing edit properties form to now load properly.

    When our environment was SharePoint 2007 we had a third party tool that was used for indexing documents.  Because of this it had a custom form to edit the properties of a list item or document.  This add-on was removed from all of the sites prior
    to upgrade to SharePoint 2013 - except for one that was overlooked.
    Now when someone attempts to edit an item they are created with an error.  I've tracked it back to trying to load this custom form to edit the properties and obviously that add-on isn't there any longer.
    Does anyone have any suggestions to reset the edit properties form to the SharePoint default?  It's not terribly convenient to recreate this list so I'd love to be able to make the change in-place as opposed to starting from the 2007 backup.
    Thanks,
    Troy

    Hi Troy,
    For resetting customized list forms from InfoPath forms back to default forms , you can take steps as below:
    1.Located the list in question and use the ribbon to select List > List Settings.
    2.On the List Settings page, select “Form settings” under “General Settings“.
    3.Change the Form Option from “Modify the existing InfoPath form” to “Use the default SharePoint form“. If you want to completely remove the form, also check “Delete the InfoPath Form from the server“.

  • Cannot edit properties after overwriting file in a document library

    I am (programmatically) overwriting a file in a document library after which none of the metadata fields can be edited either programmatically or manually:
    Edit Properties -> change something -> Save
    There is no error, just none of the metadata fields will actually update. To overwrite the file, I am using copy.asmx webservice. I get the same result when overwriting via REST, or just doing a plain http PUT. I also tried list.asmx webservice to update metadata.
    As long as I don't overwrite a file, everything works great.
    This is Sharepoint 2010. Versioning is off, checkout is not required. "Overwriting" means there is an existing file, previously uploaded manually or with copyservice and the new file has the same name.
    Has anybody seen this behavior? (or managed to get a sharepoint document library file into a similar state).
    Thanks, RL

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that after uploading file using the Copy.asmx web service, you could not edit the properties.
    I had used the following code to upload the file, after that to edit the properties, it worked without any issue.
    static void Main(string[] args)
    Copy copy = new Copy();
    copy.Credentials = new System.Net.NetworkCredential("UserName","Password","Domain");
    copy.Url = "http://sp/_vti_bin/copy.asmx";
    string filePath = @"C:\Test\Edite2.txt";
    string[] destURL = { @"http://sp/LIbA/Edite2.txt" };
    FileStream fs = new FileStream(filePath, FileMode.Open, FileAccess.Read);
    byte[] contents = new byte [fs.Length];
    fs.Read(contents,0,Convert.ToInt32(fs.Length));
    fs.Close();
    FieldInformation fileFieldInfo = new FieldInformation();
    fileFieldInfo.DisplayName = "Edite2";
    fileFieldInfo.Value = "Edite2";
    fileFieldInfo.InternalName = "Edite2";
    fileFieldInfo.Type = sp.FieldType.Text;
    FieldInformation[] fileFieldInfoArray = { fileFieldInfo };
    CopyResult copyResult1 = new CopyResult();
    CopyResult copyResult2 = new CopyResult();
    CopyResult[] copyResultArray = { copyResult1,copyResult2};
    uint resultCopy = copy.CopyIntoItems(filePath,destURL,fileFieldInfoArray,contents,out copyResultArray);
    Console.WriteLine("Upload Successful...");
    Console.ReadKey();
    You can check with the above code, then check whether it works.
    Did the issue occur in other libraries?
    You can create new library to check whether it works, maybe the library had been corrupted.

  • How to remove or disable "View Properties, Edit Properties Manage Permissions ..." from Shared/Personal Documents in My Site?

    Hello Community
        Using Sharepoint 2010 Server and the UI I created My Site.
        In My Content there is "Shared Documents" and "Personal Documents".
        On each one if you click the carat on the right, you will see
    a group of actions you can take.
        The actions include "View Properties, Edit Properties Manage Permissions" etc.
        How can I remove or disable "Manage Permissions" as an action on "Shared
    Documents and Personal Documents" on that My Site page and for when any
    other user creates a My Site page it not be there either?
        Thank you
        Shabeaut

    It is normal for users to have full control over the content in their personal My Site (this includes the Personal and Shared Documents folders). This allows them to manage access on their own site (e.g. for Shared Documents).
    On the MySite Host, users should not have the Manage Permissions right.

    A simple hardware way :
    Use a home DVD player - connect audio and video(YC) outputs to a Canopus AD 100 converter - connect the firewire of the AD100 to your Mac - open log and capture in FCP (select non controllable device) - play the DVD with your remote control - pause - then click capture now - play the DVD. • Cannot edit properties of pages in Pages Library

    We have a site's Pages Library with a problem
    If we attempt to edit a pages properties, and save a change to the properties, we will get an error with a correlation id.
    the error will read "The URL 'Pages/test9.aspx' is invalid. It may refer to a nonexistent file or folder, or refer to a valid file or folder that is not in the current Web. "
    That's if we do the change via the editform view.
    If we turn on inline editing on a view of the Pages Library, and we edit properties of a page where the editform view was never used and never caused that error... we can edit the properties at will.
    So our quick reaction was that the editform view is corrupted, or somehow corrupts the properties so they can't be edited.
    I've tried creating a new editform view in spd... but it appears to cause the same issue.
    so looking for ideas on how to root out the problem.

    Looking at the logs, just prior to seeing the error text, I do see these lines with the same correlation id

  • Office365 - Word Document .docx banned from Mailer if you edit properties online. Bug ?

    Hi,
    I'm working on office365 (SharePoint 2013) solution with documents created on SharePoint Library.
    We create new document in library with a simple custom template (in .docx format), I use a quick part in document.
    I attach new document and send to customer mail, but I get "banned" result from recipient mailer cause of Dangerous attachment.. the docx file..!
    Message from postmailer referres to a "0000.dat" file contained in docx that it recognized as exe file, so Dangerous.
    I tested 2 behaviors:
    Test 1
    1) Create New Document (.docx) in SharePoint library
    2) Download the new document on PC and Sent to GMAIL address
    3) In Gmail arrives mail, then I forward this mail (with attached docx) to customer enterprise mail
    4) I receive this mail, it work
    Test 2
    1) Create New Document (.docx) in SharePoint library
    2) IMPORTANT: Edit Properties in browser (without open docx), i.e. change title, any property, or filename
    3) then Download document on PC and Sent to GMAIL address
    4) In Gmail arrives mail, then forward this mail (with attached docx) to customer enterprise mail
    5) Gmail receive mail from postmaster of customer enterprise with error "banned attachment" for .dat file into file..
    6) I receive no mail
    I check docx from SharePoint.
    I change extension of .docx file (from test 2) into .zip extension and extract these files.
    In folder, I see a "[trash]" folder, with 0000.dat file..
    I do the same with first file .docx (from test 1) and no "[trash]" folder into zip file.
    Result: edit properties on SharePoint, change structure of file, creating folder "[trash]" and save into folder file 0000.dat.
    This files is banned from postmaster and mail not received...
    Can you help me?
    Is it a issue/bug of office365/SP2013?
    I'll try to test other scenarios (with .dot template, without quick parts, with file uploaded).
    Thanks!

    It is part of the OOXML specification: http://www.ecma-international.org/news/TC45_current_work/Office%20Open%20XML%20Part%201%20-%20Fundamentals_final.docx
    9.1.7                   Trash Items
    Trash items represent parts that have been discarded or are no longer in use.  Trash items shall not conform to OPC part naming guidelines as defined in Part 2 and shall not be associated with a content type.  All trash items
    shall follow the naming scheme: [trash]/hhhh.dat where h represents a hexadecimal value.
    [Example: A package has two parts that must be updated in-place but both parts have grown beyond their growth hints.  The newer updated parts are added as new ZIP items while the original parts are renamed to:
    [trash]/0000.dat [trash]/0001.dat
    end example]
    So perfectly normal part of the specification that the spam filter needs to take into account. Now the spam filters I've dealt with (Microsoft's in O365, McAfee MailMarshal, Websense) certainly don't do this with up-to-date definitions.

    thanks for your help

    Hello,
    Try to use "ClientOnClickNavigateUrl " and pass your URL here.
    string itemUrl = string.Format("{0}/{1}?ID={2}", web.Url, list.Forms[PAGETYPE.PAGE_DISPLAYFORM].Url, itemID);
    MenuItemTemplate editCustomer =
    new MenuItemTemplate("Edit", "/images/edit.gif");
    editCustomer.ClientOnClickNavigateUrl = itemUrl;
    customerMenu.Add(editCustomer);
    Refer this:
