Editing recipients

When I click on the 'to' box for a new message I get a list of previous recipients. Can anybody tell me how I edit this list? I have tried address book but they are not there

Edit recipients groups returns 500 error

Hello All
I started having a strange error today on my Exchange 2013 ECP. When i go in to edit a group under recipient --> groups and select a group and hit edit, i'm getting a 500 Unexpected error message after about 5 minutes trying to open the page. I
get this from the localhost/ecp as well. So far this is the only page that i get the error on. I've restated IIS on all the servers tried different computers / browsers but nothing seems to work.
Anyone have any ideas?

Hi Chris,
Does the issue only happen to edit groups? All groups or a specific group? Please check whether you can edit the distribution group by using Set-DistributionGroup cmdlet in EMS.
Please confirm the problematic group is created in legacy Exchange server or Exchange 2013. If possible, please also collect some event logs for further analysis.

PSE 6 lockup in email Share

I'm a new PSE 6 user, and this will be my first e-mail image share. In Share w/email attachments, at the select recipients step, the computer locks up when I click the "edit recipients in contact book" icon (small silhouette of person). I'm trying to add a contact before sending, but I'm stuck . . ..
I use Win XP, Outlook Express, 1GB.
Any solutions?

When emailing from iPhoto, the recipients address comes up incorrect, even though it is correct in both my email accounts. How do I edit it? I have changed it, but the next time it appears it contains the same errors.

When emailing from iphoto with a template, the recipients' address comes up incorrect (a couple of letters are wrong). The addresses are correct in both my email accounts, including the one I am using for the iphoto email. I have corrected the address prior to sending the email, but they come up with the same errors the next time I choose them in the iphoto 11 program. How do I correct thes email addresses? thank you

In Mail Preferences/Accounts/each GMail account, set up the SMTP Outgoing Server for each account separately, going into SMTP name/edit/Advanced and specify the Username of each account. The Outgoing servers must be two different servers, authenticated by the Username and Password of each.
Otherwise, the GMail SMTP server will change the from address to that of the account where the SMTP server was setup.

How do I edit the drop down lists of past email recipients?

This is annoying, i get a list of past email recipients but cannot edit the list. Seems like there must be a way to do so. any ideas? thanks.

If these are suggested email addresses that are coming up .... When the contact list pops up in the mail app - tap on the blue arrow (if there is a blue arrow next to the email address) next to the name of the email address and another window will open. At the bottom of that window tap Remove From Recents.
The email addresses that do not have the blue arrow are in your contacts list and you would need to delete those addresses in the contacts app if you want to remove them.

Edit Subscription allows user to add other Recipients, can this be changed?

When a user has subscribed to a folder/report/document in KM, they then can subsequently go in and edit the subscription.
The dialog that allows the user to edit their subscription also allows them to add additional recipients to the Subscription. In some cases we don't want users to be allowed to do this. For example, if we publish BI reports to a users 'My Portfolio' then we don't want the user to be able to alter the subscription by adding other recipients to the subscription. In this case these other people would also get a notification when the BI report was updated and we don't want that to happen for security reasons.
Is there a way to remove the end users ability to add other recipients to their subscriptions?

Check the service permission for the users on these folders.
If they have enough service permission only then they can change the
subscription. The UI will prompt an error.

Editing Previous Recipients and /importing/ emails

anyone know if i can /edit/ the addresses shown in Previous Recipients and/or how i would import /new/ email addresses to Previous Recipients?
i am finding this a bit hard to figure out. i can apparently sync Previous Recipients to my Address Book but there is there a way to sync Address Book to Previous Recipients so that my AB contacts show up in my Mac Mail and these can autocomplete in Mail?
i mean, i have a database of email addresses and i would like to get these into Mac Mail...and then i want to sync all this up with AB in Lion...

I need to edit data in the Recipients List... not delete Recipients or add to Contacts but make changes in the data. How do I do this?

It is a “document” file, and it can be edited. But as the document type is a SQLite database, you must know the Data Manipulation Language subset of the Structured Query Language in order to modify it.

You would need to enter the appropriate DML code in SQLite3 to modify the data stored in the Previous Recipients database.

Limiting Recipients Ability to Edit or Forward Email?

The Microsoft email programs allow an author to limit a recipients ability to edit or forwad an email.
Is it possible to do the same thing with Mail?

The Mail.app doesn't allow changing the message Subject or message body for received messages but there is nothing preventing a recipient from editing a received message after selecting Reply or Forward for the message.

Getting javascript error while selecting the Recipients in OBIEE delivers.

Hi All,
I am working on OBIEE from quite a long time, but recently I came across a error while selecting the Recipients in Recipients list of OBIEE delivers.
Making it more comprehensive, when I try to create an ibot , after entering all necessary information when I select Recipients in Recipients list and click on ok. I get a JavaScript error "null" is null or an object. The surprising thing is when i select cancel it works as ok.
Any help will be highly appreciated

I think you dont have a field named /BIC/XXXXXX in the table from which you are trying to fetch the data. Chech the spelling of the field name and table name.

How do I display multiple recipients in the Sent Mail list view???

In the list of sent mails, only one name (the first recipient) shows up in the "to" column. I would like to show as many names as there is room for, and not have to open the message itself to see multiple intended recipients.
Other email clients do this as the default, but in Mail I just can't find the setting for how many names to display in that column.
Help!!!!

Thanks for the information. Although this allowed me to open multiple windows, they are all show in a format too small (large thumb nails) to use. I'm looking for a way to do a "split-window" function where two windows are shown (at the same time) larger enough to move between the windows and perform functions such as copy, paste, edit, or drag data from one to the other.

Allow multiple users to edit in a shared calendar

Some co-workers and I have a shared calendar in Outlook 2010 (separate from our personal, individual calendars) and we'd all like to be able to edit (add, delete, etc) to it. The creator of the calendar shared it with us and gave us all the appropriate
permissions to be able to edit it, however, only what the creator enters/edits appears for everyone. Anything additional or changed doesn't appear.
For example, User 1 creates and shares the calendar. User 2 and User 3 are given "editor" permissions. User 2 adds an event to the calendar for all to view, but User 1 and User 3 cannot view it.
How can we create a calendar so that User 1, User 2, and User 3 can all view and edit this shared calendar?

How does User1 share the new created calendar to User2 and User3? Because the shared calendar is User2 created that is not a default Calendar, please share it by the following steps in Outlook 2010:
1. Create a new calendar in User1’s account.
2. Right-click the new calendar, click Share > Share Calendar.
3. In the Sharing invitation window, select User2 and User3 in the To field.
4. Check Recipient can add, edit and delete items in this calendar to give the recipients Editor permission.
5. Click Send to share calendar to User2 and User3.
Then User2 and User3 would receive a message in Inbox folder. They can just click
Open the Calendar button to open it. Then check whether the issue persists.

How to send email to a group of recipients at the same time?

I have been trying to set up a group in Mail, and think that I've done it correctly as all the cards are in the group when I look (I opened Address book, created a group, dragged across the email addresses I wanted in that group). However, when I type the group name (in this case: year7) in the addressee line in a new Mail message, it doesn't seem to recognise the name, and doesn't show a list of recipients.
What am I doing wrong?!
Please can somebody help me!

I didn't know that that method is supposed to work.
Easiest way I know to add a group to a new message is to open Address Book from the Mail toolbar and drag the group name to the To: field. Clicking and holding on the group name in the To: field allows you to expand the group so that all of the recipients appear.

Sending emails with both body and attachment to multiple recipients

I have a requirement to send email with body and attachment to multiple recipients.
Body of the email is a standard text. It is a proxy-to-mail scenario.
Here is what I've done: (I'm using PI 7.11)
One mapping from Source to Target structure (format of the attachment text file)
Second mapping from Target Structure to Mail Package format.
In the second mapping I'm concatenating the output of first step into "Content" of the Mail Package.
"XIPAYLOAD" is the message protocol used.
The "Keep attachments" option in the Mail adapter allows only to send "Content" as attachment or as body of the email.
How to send an email with both content and text?
The other problem is even with using ASMA, I can't send email to multiple recipients. I can only do CC and TO for 1 person each - a total of 2. Although I can resolve this by creating mailing lists, it is better if this can be addressed in PI.

For the first question, I was able to find the solution in the following blog:
XI Mail Adapter : Dynamically building attachment and message body content using a simple UDF
(I just needed to search with the right set of key words )
The key is to set the "Content Encoding" as "None" in the mail adapter. If this is not done, the mail will be sent with an attachment - untitled.bin containing both the mail body and the attachment text. Also, don't forget to check the "Keep Attachments" checkbox in the mail adapter.
Multiple recipients could be added by separating the email IDs with a Comma. I have used ASMA to set the recipients.
