Editing/Uploading in Cyberduck

How do you upload/synchronize just one page when working with Cyberduck? I can only seem to get the information to change on my site if I upload the entire site. There has to be a quicker way than that!

then click "Welcome_files" or "Welcome.html" ??
Yes.
and do I upload that to the htdocs folder?
Of course you have to upload these things to the same place where the existing ones with the same name are. You should be albe to see them. If you uploaded the entire iWeb site, then Welcome.html and Welcome_files will be inside a folder which has the same name as you gave your site inside the iWeb app.

  • Level permission only for edit uploaded documents

    Hi guys,
I have this requiriment, in my document set I need that spcecified users are allowed only to edit uploaded document (for example editing using word if is a docx type) but not other fields in SharePoint........ is it possible?
    thanks!

This is not possible using OOTB functionality. If you have edit permission to a file/list item, you have access to modify all of the information.
There are a few third party options that provide column/field-level permissioning in SharePoint. You could also program your own rules into an Event Receiver.

  • Restrict supplier to catalogue edit(upload) own catalogue

    Hi,
In catalog content management, catalog manager with standard role /CCM/CATALOG_MANAGER  performs all tasks in the system, except for approving new . This role has menus edit and create cataloge etc.
Our Business requirement is to extend this role with catalogue edit(upload)  to suppliers .But with this role, all catalogs created are available to
edit catalogue function. We want to restrict supplier to own data/catalogs,that means one should edit/delete own catalog only.
We are stuck in this  so expecting some clue or help in this regard.
    Thanking you.

  • Problem Uploading with CyberDuck to GoDaddy host site

I created an iWeb site that looks and functions fine on my computer (10.5.8). I successfully uploaded it with Cyberduck (3.2.1) to be hosted by GoDaddy on a domain I own. At that point, everything was lovely. Then, I revised the site in iWeb on my computer. When I uploaded it to GoDaddy with Cyberduck (overwriting the previous version of the site), most of the online pages had lost some formatting and many of the links no longer worked properly. At that point, the revised iWeb site on my computer still looked and functioned fine. GoDaddy help did some troubleshooting and concluded that the problem is with iWeb or Cyberduck.
    I'm stuck. Any ideas?

    Tom,
Please click on "The Concept" button to notice margins and spacing on that page. On most pages, the "Order" and "Contact" buttons in the box at the bottom of the page don't work. The titles in the "Archives" section don't link to the articles as they did in the iWeb version on my computer. What can I do to avoid these errors in future uploads?
Also, is there something I can do differently to make the brief "Welcome" QuickTime video (on the home page) work on IE?
I expect to add/change the site every couple of weeks. Is there a way to upload just the changes and not overwrite the whole site?
I value your help very much. Thank you for taking the time.

  • Anyone with experience editing/uploading photos + video?

Considering an iPad for an upcoming project where carrying a laptop simply is not practical.
Anyone have actual experience using an iPad to:
    1) Download media directly from a digital still camera, digital video camera.
    2) Perform basic edits of images & video on the iPad.
    3) Upload video and stills.
If yes to all three items above, where do you upload stills & video? I am MobileMe, but currently haven't used it for uploading media of any sort. Happy to use MM to uploading media from iPad if that's the best solution.

    Hi,
You'll need the camera connection kit for the iPad available here.
    http://store.apple.com/us/search?find=ipadcamera+connectionkit&mco=Nzc1MjMwNg
You can download and install image and video editing apps from the iTunes app store.
Launch iTunes. Select iTunes Store under Library on the left then click App Store in the menu then select iPad. Type in image editing app in the search field top right corner of the iTunes window.
Same thing for video editing apps.

  • Uploading with cyberduck it uploads both sites i'm working on want just one

Thanks to all the people who have helped me so far. My site is now live! V exciting for me!
This may be a simple q but I cannot seem to find out so far.
When I upload site A with cyberduck, it is taking site B with it and putting them together as one website.
I am working on the two sites separately in iWeb and I don't want them as one website.
    Any ideas? Thanks

when you upload to your domain with cyberduck are you uploading everything that you get from iweb? iweb will publish one folder for each site. you should then only upload one folder.
you might want to consider splitting your domain file:

  • In-Browser editing - uploading a PDF as download link?

Can a client who has access to a Muse site with in-browser editing enabled logo on and add a link to download a PDF for e.g.?
Also, I presume the client doesn't have the ability to add new pages to the site?
    Thanks!

    Hi peadarotuathail
We have been trying to get an answer to this for some time.  See the thread here.  Hopefully somebody from Muse will pick up on it soon.

  • Updating and editing a website. After one edit upload the system fails and I must restart my computer to access certain sites.

I am editing a new website. I edit and choose Update and everything works. I try to edit again. When I choose Update the radio button for the Update and the radio button on the tab continue to spin and I get the message "waiting for...,org website" At this point, I cannot edit or log out of the site. In addition, I can not access other website like CNN and Washington Post. I have another website that is very similar to the one with problems and it works just fine. Other people editing the site via the web are having no problem.

Some months ago someone else on here was having a problem connecting to some sites. I stumbled on this link when trying to help and somehow it solved the problem. Whether it was just luck or not, who knows. I've often seen creating a new network location suggested and it does sometimes help:

  • Edit uploaded image

I've been tasked to create a web-based application that
allows a user to upload an image of their head then to erase and
resize it to fit a stock body. The final swf will work somewht like
    this:
    http://www.cartoondollemporium.com/c...uperfairy.html
except it will have an actual head...
Could someone point me to a similar project/src/tute where I
    could learn the method?
    Thanks in advance!

Well I've got a project coming up with a similar theme and I
can tell you you'll be making use of the bitmap api. There's a lot
of code and help in the Actionscript Bible chapter 18, "Using the
Bitmap API". That should see you clear.

  • Using an Applescript to upload output files to Cyberduck?

Does anyone here use, or know of an Applescript that can automatically upload outputted files to an FTP site using Cyberduck?
I've been hearing about Applescript implementation in Compressor but can't seem to find something to automate my uploading with Cyberduck. I have found one that works with Fetch, but it's taken me long enough to get the technophobic staff here to use Cyberduck, I don't want to have to orchestrate a switchover to Fetch if I can possibly avoid it.
    Thanks,
    Chris

    Hey Jon,
Thanks for your response. I didn't know about cURL but I suppose it would make things simpler than trying to script a process within Cyberduck.
Unfortunately I only really found out about Applescript today and my knowledge of it is limited to one beginners tutorial online which showed me how to change the shape, position and layout of finder windows (exciting!). As such, the script you linked me to means very little to me. Will I be able to attach it to a compressor job in order to automatically upload the file to the FTP site?
If so would you be so kind as to tell me what I need to write into the script so that the file name it is looking for changes depending on the name of the file being outputted by Compressor?
Sorry to be such a noob but everyone has to start somewhere right?
    Thanks,
    Chris

  • Library sharing question - Possible to block edits?

I would like to share all pictures, in all albums, in all libraries to the public without allowing any edits/uploads.  Is this possible?
So far I only see where I can invite others via email, but they are able to upload and edit which I do not want to be possible.

Asking others to join a group libraryis a collaborative thing, where there is one owner, and other contributors. All must have revel accounts and then the library will show up in their account. You can not limit their capabilities except that they already can not delete photos that they did not add themselves.
Sharing of albums withing libraries  is more limited and does not require others to have a revel account.
If you wish to share everything for viewing only by anyone, you could put everything in the library into a single album, disable downloads, and share the link. If you have more than one library, you could do a link an album in each library that contains all of the photos in the library.
If you then have some photos you wish to share with family or a group and you wish them to be able to download, you can put those photos into a different album in the library (they can be some of the same photos/videos in the public album) and enable downloads.

  • Trouble uploading iweb site

I have created my site in iWeb '08 and published it to a folder. I am uploading it to a domain I have with MacHighway via FTP (Cyberduck). When all files are finished uploading, I visit the site on safari and only text appears. No images, music, or photos, not even html. The hosting service is using a Linux server, and I've been back and forth with Apple and MacHighway support trying to fix the problem. Can anyone help?

When iWeb publishes to a folder it produces a Site folder (your site name from iWeb) and a separate index file. When you upload using Cyberduck and if your server has a Public_html folder, then you need to upload both your site folder and index folder and place them in your Public_html folder. The site folder goes in the Public folder and the index file does too, but it resides outside your site folder. There is another index file inside this site folder and the separate index file needs to stay outside the site folder and points inside. So basically, you have one index file inside the site folder and one index file outside the site folder that points inside, with both of these in your Public folder on your hosts server.

  • I can't edit my image in the browser

    Hi everyone,
I have a problem with the new feature of Adobe Muse (editing with browser)
When i publish the site with the edit window, i can only change the TEXT....I can't edit or insert new image even if the bloc image is editable...(i have a message who tell me that the region is EDITABLE)
    So i don't understand...
Otherwise, i have an other problem.
When i put the mouse on some images, i have this message : the region editable is applied to an unsupported tag (jpeg, png are imported from my computer)
    Thanks in advance.
PS : i'm french, sorry for my english

    Hey there-
I am having pretty major issues along the same lines as this post.  I am new to using BC and the in-browser (in-context??) editor, so I'm sure I'm missing some steps somewhere.  *
This is pressing as I am a long time Muse user, but am now building my first site for a different client other than myself.
    My issues are:
    - I can't edit, upload, insert, or replace any images throughout the entire site
         - more importantly, on certain pages, the images aren;t even editable.  I recieve the same "the region editable is applied to an unsupported tag" message
    - When editing text, I can change the words, but I do not get the option to change any of the formatting or colors of the text
    - Finally- is the name of InBrowser editing really InContext editing?
Thanks in advance for the help!

  • How do I publish iWeb site with Cyberduck??

    Hi there,
I am trying and trying, but I can't figure it out. Can anybody help me and tell me how to publish an iWeb site with Cyberduck??
    Thank you so much!
    Marc

Okay, this is not complicated at all.
When you want to publish an iWeb site to some place other than MobileMe, then you publish to a folder of your choice on your hard drive and iWeb will create all the files needed. It will create one folder that has the same name that you called your website inside iWeb plus an index.html page. So if you called your site Site in iWeb, then when you publish to a folder, your folder will be called Site, plus the index.html page.
You then need to open Cyberduck and enter your ftp info, plus your username and password and then you click on open connection. Once you click on open connection you will be connected to your hosting service and there will be a folder there called Public_html. You then need to upload your folder plus index.html file from your hard drive and once these have been uploaded, you just drag and drop them into the Public_html folder on your web space. To upload in Cyberduck, just click on Action at the top and click on Upload. Once you click here you will be shown all the files on your hard drive and all you need do is go to the folder where you site is stored and then click on index.html and it will be uploaded and then click on Site or whatever your site is called and upload this and it will be uploaded.
It is not difficult at all, but you do need to know what you are doing.

  • IWEB not uploading URL correctly

For several days I have been struggling with IWEB to get it to load to my url through ftp. Here is the thing....IWEB makes you do a "site name" and when you do that it becomes the landing URL for example I want people to type in www.photocandy.biz and get to my site. Well I have index for example as my site name and so as a result the url is www.photocandy.biz/index this is what it is defaulting to. I am so frustrated I dont know what to do please help.
    Thank you

What iWeb does is not incorrect - it is the way that iWeb does it and has done it from iWeb 06. It is the site structure that is used like it or not. When published, iWeb creates your Site folder that will be the same name that you gave your site in iWeb and also a separate index.html file and both of these need to be uploaded to your server, so hence your url will be http://www.domain.com/sitename/pagename.
If you want anything different, then you will probably need to download Cyberduck free from the internet. This is a dedicated ftp client. From iWeb use the publish to a folder option and then connect to your host using Cyberduck and rather than uploading the whole site folder and index file, just upload the contents of your site folder. Your url will then be http://www.domain.com/pagename. Note that RSS feeds will not work if you do this as you have broken the site structure.
In iWeb 09, I think it might be possible to do the same with the built in ftp by naming your site either 'public_html", "www", or "htdocs" or whatever your host has for you to upload to. You then leave the directory/path field empty and then upload and you should get just the contents of the folder rather than the hole folder itself.
I have never tried this so don't know whether it works. Although I use 09, I still publish to a folder and upload with Cyberduck.
