EditMask field to enter a telephone number

I am accepting an int value for telephone numbers with area code in the application.
Is it possible for me to have a formatted field which will display
Between the paranthesis the areacode is entered and then the number follows.
Please note the hyphen. Before the hyphen 3 digits are accepted and 4 digits after the hyphen.
I have to store 10 digits in the database as telephone number.
Example code or links to information will be greatly appreciated.
Thanx.

Guys any hints on this.
Thanx.

  • Regarding having more than one telephone number of customer

    If my customer has more than one telephone and/or fax number, how can i enter them all in the customer master during customer creation??

    Hi Sobhan,
    There is an option beside the text box in customer master to enter the multiple values.
    The option is an arrow is there that is for multiple values.
    Click on that option and then click on new values(The option with icon + button).
    Enter your telephone number.
    Press enter.
    Similarly the same type of option is available for fax also.
    Enter your fax number and then press enter.
    Below that icon you will find a green coloured small box after entering means multiple values are there for that field.

    Mohan.

  • How to stop Outlook 2007 from changing my telephone number format?

    I'm using Windows 7 and Outlook 2007 (and Exchange 2007 SP1).
    Now, in Outlook's contact, whenever I enter a telephone number, the stupid Outlook 2007 always tries to be smart and add brackets to the first few digits!  There's no brackets in tel number.  How could I make it stop from being too smart and changing anything?

    I've found another PC with XP and Outlook 2007, but I still can't find any service called "Windows Dialing".  But I tried it anyway.  Guess what I got: in this computer, a normal local telephone format isn't changed.  But when the number is in long distance format, ie +XX YYYYYYY, Outlook 2007 stupidly removes the '+' sign in front of it!
    I then tried in my first PC to see what would happen to international telephone number format.... it's OK, the '+' sign isn't deleted.
    What a f**k!  What's this ____ called Outlook 2007 which tries to reformat things it can't understand??
    I have exactly the same problem - I am in the UK and have a pile of UK numbers stored in international format (which most cell phones recognise and some generate automatically from incoming calls). So the number would be entered as +44 1234 56789. Outlook strips off the + and, because I sync with my pda, the numbers get exported to it in a broken state :-(
    In the UK, we don't drop leading digits - to dial a number I either dial 01234 56789 or +44 1234 56789. We don't really use local numbers a lot in the UK - it doesn't make any difference within a local area if I dial the full code, just the local number or the international version. So there is no need for Outlook to do anything.
    This is extremely aggravating - sure ly Outlook is not hard coded to use  US phone dialling methods?
    There must be a way to disable the automatic parsing of numbers - if not it is bug that needs fixing, IMHO...

  • Incoming Telephone number field in sales order

    Dear All,
    I'm replicating Interaction Center Sales orders to an external system through IDOCs. A customer may have more than one telephone number.
    Is their a field in the sales order IDOC that contains the customer incoming call telephone number? It is a must for the external system to know this call number incase of further contact with the customer
    I gota field in the partner information "Tel1" but it always get the default telephone of the customer not the telephone in the incoming call
    Regards,
    Ahmed Elders

    Hello, Ahmed.
    Recently we've had quite similar requirement. I haven't got any standard solution for that.
    But what we've done. We store this number in the partner's address in the document (I think, in the field you've mentioned). We access this number in the following way in some view controller (actually, in IR view):
    DATA: lr_cucobupa TYPE REF TO cl_crmcmp_b_cucobupa_impl,
               lv_value TYPE string,
               lv_channel TYPE crmt_ic_channel.
         TRY.
             lr_cucobupa ?= me->get_custom_controller( if_iccmp_global_controller_con=>cucobp  ).
           CATCH cx_sy_move_cast_error.
         ENDTRY.
         IF lr_cucobupa IS BOUND.
           lv_value = lr_cucobupa->get_request_value( ) .
           IF NOT lv_value IS INITIAL.
             lv_channel = lr_cucobupa->get_channel( ). //this is actual number, id, email, whatever...
             CASE lv_channel .
               WHEN 'ANI'.
    // store the phone number in appropriate field of partner's address
               WHEN 'CHAT'.
    // store the id in appropriate field of partner's address
               WHEN 'EMAIL'.
    // store the email in appropriate field of partner's address
             ENDCASE.
    Hope this will help you.

  • Telephone Number field when adding a new User - CCM 4.2.1

    Is their a way to automatically populate the telephone number field for a user? BAT does not allow this field to be added to the spreadsheet (phones-users). Thanks.

    BAT Version: 5.2.1
    The DN is for the actual line number of the IP phone, not the telephone number field which is stored with the User infromation. These can be independent; for example, I might make a user's actual DN 40001, but want the telephone number in the CallManager Corp Directory to be 5179840001. So, I can place the E.164 number in the Telephone Number field under the User page in CCM. Then, when a user looks up the number using the Directories button on the IP phone, the full E.164 number shows up for that particular user search instead of the 5-digit number which is helpful for offnet dialing and overlapping dial plans among remote sites.
    So, I am looking for a way to automactically populate the Telephone Number field for each user (not the line number of an actual IP phone).
    Thanks.

  • Wrong Telephone Number Entered When Setting Up BT ...

    Hi Folks
    I feel a real idiot, but I have just realised that I have entered the wrong telephone number when asked to do so during the set up of my Home Hub 3. I have had a look on the Desktop Help and cannot find anywhere that gives me an idea how to rectify my mistake. My broadband is working fine but I don't want to leave it incorrect.
    If anyone can help me it would be very much appreciated.

    There is nothing to set up, the home hub works without any software being installed, the stuff on the CD is not needed, and may slow your computer down.

  • Telephone Number Jump

    I want to be able to create 3 different textfields for a telephone number where after the first three digits of the area code are entered it automatically jumps to the next textfield without missing a beat so the user can just enter the number normally without any tabbing or mouse.
    I just don't know what event to put my code into since "change" event doesn't work.

    say the fields are called field1, field2, field3
    In the CHANGE event of field1, you can add the following code
    if (xfa.event.newText.length == 3)
    xfa.host.setFocus("field2");
    Add the same code in field2 but change setFocus("field2") to
    setFocus("field3");

  • Telephone number text box

    Hi All,
    i have text box as an input parameter in which telephone number has to be entered.
    i need to validate the input entered by the user that the number that they have entered is in the correct format or not.
    the number should be in the below format
    EG: XXX-XXX-XXXX
    Can u guys help me out how to validate the text that has been entered.

    Hi,
    You can split the values and store them in an array.
    Tel := Split ({field},'-');
    Then you could check the array element length.
    If (length(Tel[1]) = 3 and length(Tel[2]) = 3 and length (Tel[3]) = 4) then
    "The telephone number is valid"
    else
    "The telephone number is not valid"
    This way you could check the Telephone Number.
    Hope this helps!

  • ESS .. Make Telephone number mandatory FPM applicaiton

    Hi guys,
    my requirement is to make the telephone number mandatory in the ESS applications. I want to perform this validation in the web dynpro code onsteaed of the back end ans this needs to be made mandatory just for emergency adress rather than the entire addresses.
    Any thoughts how to do this.
    regards
    Sam

    Hi,
    First create a Label instead of text view for the input field
    of emergency telephone number.
    For this label set the "label for" attribute to the id of the input field.
    for the input field set the "state" attribute to 'required'.
    This will give the visual effect of a mandatory field.
    For Validation you can use the following:
    String t = wdContext.currentTestElement().getTel();
    if (t != null)
       //execute the model here
    else
       wdComponentAPI.getMessageManager().reportWarning("Please enter Telephone Number");
    Hope it helps.
    Regards,
    Alka.

    Good Morning
    1)
    I am trying to give some account number in open / close posting period window. From acount field (Lower limit of the G/L account numbers ) is not accepting the value. I have also tried with ZZZZZ and many other options. Can any one help what could be he reason ?
    This is the Error Message
    Do not enter an account number for a masked account type
    2) Who is responsible to create the Authorization Group? What is FICO consultant role here ?
    Eg: I want to give some privileges to one of the users in Management to open and close the posting period for all the nominals for all posting periods.
    who creates the Authorization Group
    Regards
    Amar

    Hi,
    1, For account group the error may be comimg because already data is created. In lower limit donot enter ZZZZZ as it is considered as the highest value.  You can try the lowest account number.
    2. Creating a role is job of bais based on the FICO tcode given by FICO consultant. For special privilages to a role you can ask to basis guy to create a separate role and assign to user.

    How do I change the Apple id against a certain telephone number?  I have two iPhones and wish to use a different Apple id for each and confused as to how I do this?

    Create a new Apple ID for the second phone. If you are setting the phones up as new phone enter the ID you want to use on each phone.
    If both phones are already signed in to one Apple ID then use the settings app to change Apple IDs on one phone.
    Settings > iTunes and App Store > tap on the Apple ID > sign out > sign in with alternate Apple ID.
    Note that if you have downloaded apps with the original Apple ID on the phone with the new Apple ID, those apps will still be associated with the old Apple ID and will require the old ID and password in order to update them.
