EDITOR WORKSPACE WILL NOT OPEN

I HAVE THE ADOBE PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 10 THAT WAS WORKING FINE. NOW WHEN I WANT TO EDIT A PICTURE THE EDITOR WILL NOT OPEN. I HIGHLIGHT THE PICTUE HIT THE EDTIO BUTTON AND NOTHING OPENS.

You can create a desktop icon for the editor and then drag and drop photos directly on to it for editing.
On Windows, Right click anywhere on the desktop and select New >> Shortcut
Then click the browse button and navigate to:
"C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 10\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe"
Then click Next; then click Finish
N.B. on 64 bit systems navigate to Program Files (x86)

  • I have just installed PSE 8, but the Editor workspace will not open.

I unistalled the software and reinstalled but the problem still exists.  Any ideas on what I c
    an do?

Nothing seems to work!!  PSE 8 is supposed to be plug and play without having to mess with anything, get tech support or waste my time.  Why then have I spent 3 evenings trying to make it work?   I called Wal Mart who have a no refund policy on software.  I HAVE HAD IT WITH THIS NONSENSE!!!
Please provide the link to get a refund from ADOBE.

  • Premiere 8.0 Welcome Screen will load the editor, but will not open a project...

Hi all, this is a small issue but annoying to me... After the welcome screen comes up, I click on "Open Project" and then on a name of my project I would like to work with. After a few seconds, the welcome screen loads the project editor, but the screen stays green, no matter how long I wait, and the projcet I selected does not open. Then I have to go to Files->Open Project and load the project again. Shouldn't the project load automatically if I selected this option from a welcome screeen? I have the 8.0.1 update installed...

Thanks for you post Steve, you're right. But even if I select a specific project name
from the Open drop down menu, it still opens a blank screen. Can live with that, but they should fix
it... The same thing happens when you click on "New Project" in Welcoem Screen: blank screen opens and then you have to go to File -> New project. But if the editor is already open, the problem does not exist, it will do the right thing right away (i.e. open a project or start a new one from the Welcome Screen command)...

  • Photoshop elements 12 will not open

I recently got a new computer and installed my Photoshop 12 disc and everything works except the photo editor part will not open the organizer opens but not the photo editor, tried uninstalling and reinstalling again and no luck.

I have tried and failed.  It was loaded from disc just purchased at Best buy.  It loaded fine but will not start up at all.  I have looked for the launch program and tried other methods but no success yet.

  • Edit will not open in Elements 12, organiser works fine

I Have just purchased Elements 12 and installed it on a laptop running Windows 7.  It appeared to install without problems and the organiser section works fine, but the editor section will not open.  I have changed the 'opening page' to all 3 different choices but the editor section will not open.  Please advise what I can check to try to find the problem, including me!

Thank you for your advice, I have followed your instructions and SLCache and SLStore are now shown on the Desktop.
I then launched Elements from the icon on the desktop and the following message displayed:
Please uninstall and reinstall the product.
If this problem still occurs, please contact Adobe technical support for help, and mention the error code shown at the bottom of this screen.
    Error: 16
    http://www.adobe.com/support/
I have not uninstalled and reinstalled as I have done this previously and presumable it would put SLCache and SLStore back to their original location.
    Have you any further suggestions?

  • Adobe premiere Elements 12 will not open editor

I had Adobe Premiere Elements 11 on my laptop and worked fine. Decided to upgrade to Elements 12 and did but version 12 will not open editor, says sign in, I sign in but no editor. Organizer opens and loaded my Photos and videos. I purchased full retail version for download. My laptop runs windows 8.1 and has an Intel Core i5 dual core processor and 4GB ram.

Have you gone to Computer/Manager/Event Viewer/Windows Logs/Applications and looked for error entries that appear to be associated with this problem?
Did you purchase Photoshop Elements 12 as well as Premiere Elements 12, and does Photoshop Elements 12 Full Editor open whereas Premiere Elements 12 will not open to its Expert or Quick workspaces?
You have probably tried it, but can you open to the Premiere Elements workspaces from the Elements Organizer workspace?
    More later.

  • Organizer will not open after I tried backing up photos on external hard drive on Mac. Editor opens, but not Organizer. This is a repost of a problem first reported 10 days ago.

Organizer will not open after I tried backing up photos on an external hard drive on Mac. Editor opens, but will not launch Organizer. Have tried clearing the catalogs, but nothing works. This was first reported 10 days ago. Had to be out of the country for a week - without photoshop working-- and now I'm back with the same problem. Can someone please help, or do I dump this and try to get some help just reloading the program?

It had 4 years of photos and videos on it.
To what did your camera record those photos and videos - camera's internal memory, inserted memory card, other?
Any remote chance that the latter may still exist for you to use to download the camera files to your new external hard drive?

  • Editor in elements 8 will not open.  using windows 7 home premium. can this be fixed

editor in elements 8 will not open.  computer has windows 7 home premium.  steve

You may need to rebuild the editor preferences to resolve any conflicts.
Hold down the Ctrl+Shift+Alt keys and simultaneously click on the Edit button on the welcome screen. Release the three keys and look behind the welcome screen by closing it. Or hold down the keys whilst double clicking on PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe
You should see a pop up box with the words: Delete Adobe Photoshop Elements Settings File?
    Click on Yes
Then wait whilst Elements rebuilds the preferences.

You need to keep the keys pressed for several seconds. Close down Elements. Hold down the CtrlShiftAlt keys and simultaneously click on the Edit button on the welcome screen. Release the three keys and look behind the welcome screen by closing it. Or hold down the keys whilst clicking on the desktop icon for the Editor or PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe in the Programs folder. Keep holding down all three keys until you get the settings option. You should see a pop up box with the words: Delete Adobe Photoshop Elements Settings File?Click on YesThen wait whilst Elements rebuilds the preferences.  You should see something like this (example PSE9)  http://forums.adobe.com/servlet/JiveServlet/downloadImage/2-4880527-258346/320-111/Setting s-pop-upPSE9.png

Hi, Please try couple of probable solutions as mentioned below: Solution 1:1. Close Elements.2. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Editor.3. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences. Solution 2: In case any network printer is attached try to launch without network or printer uninstall or make different printer as default.Solution 3: Try launching with anti-virus off or removing PSE from conflicting list. Solution 4: On the drive on which you have installed PSE,on my machine it is on C:    Go  to C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 7.0\Locales\\Plug-Ins\Import-Exportand you will find twain  plug-in. Remove that plug-in from that location and copy it somewhere  else.    Now launch PSE and check if it works.    For related post for Twain please see this:http://forums.adobe.com/message/2954743#2954743 Thanks,Garry

Photoshop 11 Editor will not open. Also I can edit in quick edit, but when I do copy of picture is sent to recycle bin. I am using Windows 7

I have solved the problem myself.  I noticed when running Task Manager
that I was using a lot of resources (>60% CPU) when running Organizer.   I
disabled Auto Analyzer and Face Recognition and all is fine now.  I will  add
one or the other a little at a time to see which is actually  causing the
    problem.
