"Editorial" Theme: Can't move the separator line
I've spent the day trying to figure out Keynote. One thing I'm trying to do is fiddle with the "Editorial" theme masters. About a fourth of the area of the slides is wasted by an immense title across the top. I'd like smaller titles. I can easily shrink the font size and resize the box to make it narrower in height. However, the separator line stays put. If I click it, little marks appear on it, but there's no apparently way to drag it upward. Am I missing something? Thanks.
The lines are locked. With the lines selected, go to Arrange>Unlock (or Command Option L).

I have adobe Premiere Elements 13. It will not let me delete audio or have it fade in or out. I can move the yellow line all the way down till the volume reads -0.0, but the sound is still there on playback. I can click on fade in and fade out and the yellow line that graphs volume takes a sharp raise or dip at the beginning or end of the clip, but there is no change in volume when I play back. What am I doing wrong?

Now about those fades for the volume. How are you doing that?
1. Right click the Timeline video audio and select Fade and then
see the Fade options (I had a video with audio file, so I saw the choices as shown in the screenshot)
2. You can also create two volume keyframes at each end of the Timeline audio clip rubberband (orange line that goes horizontally across the middle of the audio clip). At the position of the Timeline Indicator, click the Add/Remove Keyframe icon, and then with the mouse cursor position the white dots (volume keyframes) to achieve the Fade In and Fade Out audio. In the screenshot below I have moved the Timeline Indicator so that you could better see the white dots (volume keyframes).
Please let us know if any of the above works for you with regard to the audio fades.

Collecting objects for Transporting
1. rsa1->transport connection
2. left panel choose 'object type', middle panel choose 'infocube' and 'select objects'
3. then choose your infocube and 'transfer'
4. will go to right panel, choose collection mode 'manual' and grouping only 'necessary objects'
5. after objects collection finished, create request
6. If they are $TMP, then change the package.
7. When you click the Save on the change package, it will prompt for transport. Here you can provide an existing open transport request number, or if you like here itself you can create a new one.
8. You can check the request in SE09 to confirm.
Releasing Transport Request
Lets say you are transporting from BWD to BWQ
Step 1: In BWD go to TCode SE10
Step 2: Find the request and release it (Truck Icon or option can be found by right click on request #)
Note: First release the child request and then the parent request
Steps below are to import transport (generally done by basis )
Step 1: In BWQ go to Tcode STMS
Step 2: Click on Import queue button
Step 3: Double Click on the line which says BWQ (or the system into which transport has to be imported)
Step 4: Click on refresh button
Step 5: High light the trasnport request and import it (using the truck icon)

Can you move the aperture library without losing images?
my library is defaulted to imac..
but can you house it on external drive..I know, yes, as a referenced library.
but I already have some [lots] images in library.
can I move the library and maintain contents?

once you import into library, is the original image in folder it was in before? or it's deleted?
just trying to see what will work best for my needs?

Creating what Ap[erture calls a 'Vault' seems like the easiest way to do it.
Here is the complete Help section on backing up your library.

You use the second hard disk as a backup that you keep offsite. You can then rotate your onsite external hard disk with the offsite hard disk to keep all your vaults updated.
To set up your Aperture backup system, you need to do the following:
Determine the number of vaults you need. For example, do you need one for routine backups, one for weekly backups, and one for offsite storage?
Determine the number of hard disks you need for routine backups.
Determine the number of hard disks you’ll use for storing backups offsite.
Connect your hard disk drives to your computer.
Open Aperture and create the vaults you need, assigning a hard disk to each vault.
Update the new, empty vaults with copies of the Aperture library.
Disconnect one of the vault hard disks and take it to an offsite location for safekeeping.
When planning the amount of storage space you’ll need, estimate the amount of disk space needed to hold your existing digital images (photos you plan to import into Aperture) and the amount of space you might need for new projects. For example, RAW images typically require 8 to 25 or more megabytes (MB) of disk space per file. Estimating the number of photos in a typical project and the number of projects you usually create in a year, you can make a rough estimate of what might represent a year’s storage space. -
I am over capacity on my #GS iPhone and I have a very large amount of audio space that I think might be taken up by season one of Downton Abbey. I have tried to copy and save episodes to my external hard drive but I get a message saying I "don't have permission". How can I move the six episodes out iTunes ??

EXTREMELY poor idea! Leave the apps on the internal HD. You can move files and libraries from iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie, Aperture, etc.. to an external HD but leave the apps them self on the internal HD.

I have Iphoto library in Apeture. Can I move the projects from iPhoto to aperture project by dragging (within the apeture program)? Is this making a duplicate of all the photos? It seems to work?? It then leaves my Iphoto library in apeture empty. I would like to do this just to reorganize the photos between the two. I feel that I may have doubles and would like all pictures of one year in same project in Aperture instead of going between both.
Tell us more, please. I am not quite sure, what you want to do and how you are using Aperture and iPhoto?
Which versions of Aperture and iPhoto are you using?
Do you have separate photo libraries for Aperture and iPhoto, or are you opening your iPhoto libraries in Aperture?
I have Iphoto library in Apeture.
Did you import an iPhoto library into Aperture? And now you are seeing a section "iPhoto Library" in the Aperture projects list in the Inspector?
Events and albums you imported from iPhoto (Import > Library > Some iPhoto Library) will be imported as Aperture projects and albums, and they will behave exactly as other Aperture projects and albums.

You can drag images from any project in Aperture to other projects and that will move (not duplicate) the images and all its versions to that project. And when you drag all images from the project to another project, the remaining project will be empty and can be deleted. (Caution: Photos that you have hidden in iPhoto will not be visible in Aperture. If you are not sure, if you have hidden photos, open the library again in iPhoto and unhide all photos).

There should be no problem with moving all photos from the same years to the same projects. You can also drag projects in "Projects" view on top of each other. That will merge them.
You could also define smart albums in Aperture to search for images taken at a specific period of time:
File > New > Smart album:
Then, in the Smart Settings HUD, click "Add Rule" and add a Date or Calendar rule.
For example, to find all images taken in 2010, use a rule "Date > Capture Year is > 2010"
To search for Photos taken at a specific date or at several dates, use a "calendar" rule. This way, you do nat have to type the date, but can pick it from a mini calendar. -
I am using pages designing a flow chart, question "I seem to have an issue with the arrows that you can add text to, it appears I can not move the point of the arrows up or down they only switch from left to right.
Last point...who archives? On my regular email page I now have the Archive icon to the left of my Delete icon which I would prefer was to the left, first in the line as this is the icon I use mostly. With Folders, my Sent and Trash lists, who needs to archive?
I can help you only with the placement of the icon placement -- if you right-mouse click on the toolbar, then select Customize Toolbar, you can move an icon to where you want it to be. -

I didn't know that it stops the HD if something was going to happen. It's very useful to know it! But I won't move it while it's working, I just will do it when it's sleeping. Sometimes I need to go upstairs and I don't want to turn it off because I'm running a lot of programs and then I would have to open them again.

How can I open Firefox under Rosseta mode? I've installed Macromedia with Safari working under Rosseta mode, but I don't kno how can I do it for Firefox.

Can I move the default location of the iPhoto library to an external source, leaving a preview image on my main HDD?

I currenlty have a NAS which holds all my images.Yes you can, but you really, really don't want to.
You can store your photos on the External and have iPhoto link to them in that location. It's called having a Referenced Library.
In this scenario iPhoto creates an alias to the files in the Library and that's why you don't want to do this. Aliases work fin when everything is on the same volume or disk. However, if the alias points to something on another disk or volume and something in the path to the file changes, then the alias is broken. That means you could find yourself fixing each alias for every single photo in your Library, one at a time if something goes wrong.
And heaven forbid you would ever want to move the files to another disk.
See why I say you really, really don't want to?
Also note, that your edited photos would still be on the internal HD as they are always stored in the Library.
Aperture, on the other hand, can deal with this scenario quite easily, and has tools to reconnect to the original should the link be broken

I have a macbook pro, but the amount of pictures I have now exceeds 500GB
I want to have all the pictures in iPhoto, so I could see them and edit them in iPhoto.
Which means... I need the iPhoto file folder in an external HDD to use iPhoto that way.

Moving the iPhoto library is safe and simple - quit iPhoto and drag the iPhoto library intact as a single entity to the external drive - depress the option key and launch iPhoto using the "select library" option to point to the new location on the external drive - fully test it and then trash the old library on the internal drive (test one more time prior to emptying the trash)
And be sure that the External drive is formatted Mac OS extended (journaled) (iPhoto does not work with drives with other formats) and that it is always available prior to launching iPhoto
And backup soon and often - having your iPhoto library on an external drive is not a backup and if you are using Time Machine you need to check and be sure that TM is backing up your external drive

If you would like to move your source models, target models and project contents from Work repository 1 to another work repository.
I.e. Dev. server to Prod Server.
1. Firstly, replicate the master repository connections i.e. with same naming conventions manually
2. Go to Dev. Server work repository -> File Tab -> Click on Export work repository (save it in a folder)
3. After exporting, you can view the xml files in the folders.
4. Now, Open the Prod. server and make sure you already replicated mas. rep. details.
5. Now, right click on model and import source model in synonym mode insert_update (select source model from the folder where your xml file located)
6. Similarily, import again target then Project.
Now, check. It should work.

I've an apple ID used to buy off iTunes and a mobileme account for the calendars and contacts. How can I move the calendars and contacts to the older apple ID and use it for iCloud?
If you remeber the password to that Apple ID then follow these steps
1 - Make sure you have an email address that is NOT an Apple ID
2 - Go to AppleID.Apple.com
3 - Where it reads Manage Apple ID - Sign in
Once you are signed in want to make sure the email address you are wanting to use is NOT set up as a "Recovery/Rescue" email for this account.
[To check this - Main page where you see Primary ID - below do you see the email address you want to use listed towards the bottom? Yes - Delete / No - Good ./. If made any adjustments "Save" Next on the left select "Password & Security" - Answer your security questions you set up "if you have any" then scroll towards the bottom and check to see if you see the email address you want to use. Yes - Delete / No - Good] <-> Also you can change your password on this page as well. Any adjustments made "Save"
Once this is done go back to the main page where you should read "Primary ID" and change the email address that is showing to the new email address youo want. "Save" Done
