Edits in CS3 don't show up when published

I'm having a problem with Editing Publishing, seems to have started recently (last few weeks).
I'll Edit a page using CS3, adding text or images, then after publishing, the new material doesn't show up.
When I go back in to Edit mode I can see the image or text I added.
Here's an example -

any ideas about this issue and what I can do?? Sometimes the Edits will take place after I re-edit and publish it a few times.

but if I open the Adobe folder I see a Contribute folder in there

is that the folder I delete? There sure are alot of sub folders in there!

If I do this, do I also have to 'Delete the Preferences in locale' ? I can't seem to be able to find “C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\FOLDER”

If you want to delete a song from your iOS device on iOS 7, tap Songs, swipe the song from right to left, then tap Delete. The song is deleted from iPhone, but not from your iTunes library on your Mac or PC, or from iCloud.

My contacts don't show up when people call

I reset the settings on my iPhone 4s and now my contact names don't show up when people call. It only shows the number, but they are still listed in the contact list. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Which phone do you have ?
This happens when there are multiple entries with the same phone no.
Also if the same contacts are stored on SIM and in Phone memory also and you have selected to show contacts from both these destinations..
In contacts-->Options-->settings.. contacts to display.. select preferably the Phone memory only.. Also save the contacts to Phone memory to get better functionality of the phone book.. There are many limitations of storing contacts on SIM.. Periodically take back-up on PC to avoid unforeseen problems with your device..

Are you using one of the Web_Safe_Fonts Web Safe Fonts? If not then any computer that does not have it installed as Kirk pointed out will substitute some other similar font and change the appearance of the page.

Logo Component - Design mode shows the edit component toolbar don't show "Edit" button

I just created a Logo component on my website following the CQ "How to create a Fully Featured Internet Website" guide.
I do create the logo component, edited the jsp page with the following code

Then, I created the tag "<cg:include>" in my jsp page, calling this jsp.
After all that, I created the Design Dialog for my logo component, then a "items" node under the tab1 node of the design dialog.
After this, finnaly, the widget node (absParent), under the items created before.
A lot of propertys later, I got my Logo object in the page, but the toolbar with the "Edit" button on Design mode don't show me the "Edit button"
Someone can tell me how to get the button there?
Is some property that I may have forgotten?

Basically, the edit toolbar has the same with as your component, which indeed is problematic for narrow components.
But you can work-around that with a basic CSS hack:

This seems to be fixed in CQ 5.5.

Edited Discussions Posts Don't Show the Edits

I edit a comment I made, and press Save Reply
My edit doesn't appear! This has happened to me numerous times. Minutes later, I shut down the browser, the edit still isn't there. I try a different browser, it still isn't there

I posted a spam notice yesterday, and went back a couple minutes later to add another notice when I got further down the discussion list... my addition showed
A few more minutes and yet further down the discussion list I found more spam, and went back to the spam message to add the 3rd person
That 3 person did not appear, so I had to add another message... the edit process to be very "hit or miss"
Deliberately editing to see if this shows... Win7 with Internet Explorer 11... all fully up to date per Windows Update
Editing again to see if my 2nd edit will appear... 1st edit did appear, above

Invisible Layers Showing Up When Publishing

I'm using Captivate 5 and the layers that I have made invisible are showing up when I publish the file. Does anyone know how to correct this? I make the layers invisible by clicking the eye icon on the layer. The red X shows up, but the layer is still visible when the file is published. The layer is not visible when I preview the slide, however. I don't see any options or preferences to adjust this.

This is a common misunderstanding: setting a layer to invisible on the Timeline is only meant for editing reasons, not to hide the object. One example: if several objects are in the same place and you want to edit the one that is down in the stack order, hide those above. It has however no result when publishing. So your 'issue' is expected behavior. If you want to hide objects, you have to set them to invisible in the Properties panel, uncheck the option 'Visible' in the upper part.

Edited hyperlinked shape images not hyperlinking properly when published

I've tried to add and edit hyperlinked shape images at the top of the page, namely "The PolySteel Systems" and "FAQs". No matter what I do--bring to front, recreate a brand new image, copy and paste one I know works--the published version does not hyperlink properly. I unselect "make all hyperlinks inactive" in the hyperlink inspector pane, rollover my mouse to ensure that all buttons take me to the proper place, then click them to prove it. Works in iWeb, not on the published page.
Does anyone know how iWeb creates the code? When I save changes I've made, does it rewrite code for the entire page, or does it plug in edits at the end of the existing code? When I go in to view source in safari, it looks like it put the two edited/added images in a different location.
Help! Visitors/potential customers are missing a valuable link on my site.

Yes, each is its own image, as making one text box and hyperlinking each word/phrase results in the unchangeable (arrrgh!) grey underlined text that changes to red on rollover.
I've already been experimenting with exactly what you mentioned. I just tried shrinking all the image boxes, without encroaching on the text, so they would clearly not overlap. I'm publishing to me.com for these experiments so I don't have to keep publishing the entire site to a folder, then ftping to my server. Here's the page I just experimented with:

In iWeb, all links are good to go, no overlapping, etc. Curiously enough, on this page, there are even more dysfunctional hyperlinks with those image boxes.

Raw file edited in Lightroom don't show edited in PSE

I have edited pictures taken in raw format in Lightroom, and imported them later in pse 7. When I import them, they are not edited, but the original file.
How do I make PSE read the edited information instead?

I tested it again, and I upgraded to LR 2.4 today, and it didn't create an .xmp file. I found this article which makes LR create an .xmp file. Now PSE can see the changes I've made in LR.
I tried to install Adobe Camera Raw 5.4, but got an error message "Photoshop Camera Raw (64bit), Can not install. Click cancel". I have camera raw 4.5 and I don't have a 64bit system. I can't find any 5.4 for 32bit system?
I didn't see any edits I had previously done in Lightroom in PSE's organizer, nor did the raw file have any modified timestamp.
I really like PSE organizer for tagging pictures so I find them easily, and I have gotten used to Lightroom for editing my files after I got more interested in taking pictures, LR is a lot easier to quickly modifying a lot of pictures compared to PSE where you have to open editor for each and every picture (making sure I can't be bothered fixing up the pics). So my workflow is to import to LR and modifying the pictures to my liking, and then importing them in PSE organizer for looking at them later. I don't use LR for looking at pictures later on. Is that an OK way of doing it, or is there an easier way?
Perhaps I should import as .DNG file to reduce the dependency on the .xmp file?

Fonts don't show up when opening Pagemaker 7 on MAC

I don't normally use Pagemaker, but a client insists on us using his Pagemaker files. I can open up his files in Pagemaker 7 under the classic mode, but only 9 or so fonts show up, mostly Caslon. I have a MAC PowerPC G5 computer and open the file in classic. File opens just fine but no fonts. Help! My fonts are all in the system 9 fonts folder.

I finally figured out that the problem was not with Pagemaker and so I went to the Apple website and found out that fonts in the fonts folder in system 9 must be loose and not in folders. That made some of them show up and the rest have slightly different names such as Times New Roman instead of TimesNewRoman without spaces. Thought it might help someone else in the same boat.

Indeed, even with the Windows NEF Codec, it only reads the previews (not XMP..), and since ACR won't update the previews, the best you can do is get the Nikon view. I was hoping Phil Harvey would enhance exiftool to be able to write an embedded preview - presumably, it wouldn't be that hard (since it can read them), but there is NO tool I know of that can write embedded previews into proprietary raws (other than camera manufacturer software), do I don't know any way to work around..
PS - I would LOVE to learn of such a tool, so do tell if you learn of one - thanks.
Note: if you really want to view Lr/ACR adjusted image (from your raw files) in Windows, consider converting to DNG - then the preview matches your adjustments, or does once you update it.
The other option is to export and view rgb files instead of raws.

Radio - Previously liked songs don't show liked when played again

Today I liked a song using playlist radio and it added to my Liked from Radio playlist which is fine. Now fast forward 5 hours later that same song came on again still playing on radio and the thumbs up icon didn't show that I previously liked it. So I clicked Like again and now I have duplicates in my Liked from Radio playlist.
Is this normal behavior? I would imagine not. It should indicate that the song was previously liked. Anyone else notice this?

I see that many are having the same issue that I am. I must say I am really discouraged that this issue will ever be fixed as I am seeing posts written in 2012. I love the Radio feature, but it's really aggravating anymore. Thumbs up/thumbs down is nearly pointless! I have had the same song thumbed up a couple dozen times, yet every time it comes on, I've got to do it again. Same very, same album, now it's in my Liked From Radio list a few dozen times! Even worse, Thumbs Down DOES NOT WORK. The exact same songs keep coming back on after giving them the thumbs down repeatedly. This has resulted in mostly the same 15 songs coming on over and over. I only have 4 stations, all completely different genres so they don't really play any in common songs with one another. Beyond frustrating!

Clips don't show up when sent from FCP

I have a project that is just straight footage, no cuts, edits, nothing. I put my footage on a sequence and do "send to" on the sequence to Color from FCP. Color opens, but there is no footage or clips. It's as if I just opened Color with no project.
I'm confused because I did this before on my last project and everything worked fine. But now, even if I try to do "send to" on my sequence when it only has one 10 second clip on it, the only thing that happens is Color opens with no project. All I see is a blank timeline.

as in "trash preferences"? Not the same as Final Cut Pro.
An empty project seems to point to a broken import path. Can you create an explicit XML export of your Final Cut sequence and open that in COLOR? (Essentially a manual 'Send to..')
There's no '/' in the clip name? There are some characters that will mislead an XML into path corruption... in fact, most punctuation except -, _, and very few others, is illegal.
Your media isn't a still or freeze of some kind? That would be a perfect example, if it carried a filter or transition -- that is where XML round trips go to die.
