Edits in NIk HDR Pro not saved

I have the plugins for Nik HDR Pro in my Lightroom 4 on my Mac (OS X 10.6). When I save the file with the changes and return to Lightoom, the changes I made are not there. I have had the same problem with a filter on my Olympus E5 which emulates an HDR effect - the effects are not visible when downloaded to Lightroom. Any ideas? ( I have use the Oly filters before in LR3 with no problem). Thanks

i imported from LR and made a Nik hdr. when i did a save it prompted me to a new LR folder two levels down from where the files came from. when i looked in LR it showed all the files from the origin folder in the sub folders as well. deleting files there removed them from LR in the original folder as well! I had to select grid and move everything back to the original folder before i could delete the annoying subfolders. Thats why i'm looking for a fix now lol.
I saved the file to the origin folder and it made the sub folders anyway. I had to sync the origin folder before the hdr showed up as part of LR.

Merge to HDR Pro not saving.

I've been using PS for the past few years now, and moved onto CS5 last year. I recently decided to try out HDR photography after realising that there was an automerge. CS5 runs fine on my laptop (Windows Vista, 32 Bit) but when I use Merge to HDR Pro, the OK and Cancel buttons are not visible. I managed to work around this by using the Tab key, but after solving one problem, another has occured; the images aren't showing up on the home screen after I press the OK button. I've never had any problems with CS5 before, so not sure why it's doing this.

We've heard from Adobe that the dialog is supposed to size itself down by squeezing out some extra space when the screen is very small. If you search hard enough you might find the thread on this forum. I believe it was from about a year ago.
Is your Photoshop fully up to date?
What is your specific screen resolution?
Have you checked to see if newer display drivers are available for your system (probably from the web site of the laptop maker).

Nik Software .tif not saved along side of original photo in LR5

I will try to be brief. I use LR 5 and the NIK software collection as a plug-in. Ever since I've been using NIK, the .tif photo is saved right along side with the original photo. However, recently LR 5 crashed on me a couple of times and I noticed one of my major keywords was missing from the keyword list. I did what the LR tech support folks recommended and that was to go back to a backed up catalog that had the major keyword in it and use the backeup up catalog. I copied my last saved LR Catalog from the end of November 2013. Since then I took photos on 16, 17, 18, and 19th of December 2013. So, when I used the last none good catalog of Nov 2013 these four sets of photos from December did not show up. So, I used the import function in LR5 with "Add" and found the photos on my hard disk. LR5 added them to the catalog. Great. Prior to all this, when I used NIK software, the .tif file was saved right next to the original photo. That does not happen to any of the photos in these for folders from December. The NIK .tif photo is saved next to the oringal for any photo previously shot prior to Decembers photos. Any photo I shot on 16-19 Dec after I added them back to the catalog, the .tif is saved at the end of the add sequence and not along side with the original. I'm guessing it has something to do with adding these back to the catalog. I have not taken any new photos since 19 Dec 2013 and used my CF reader to have LR "Copy" them to my photo location on the hard drive so I have not tested out what happens going forward. Adobe support recommended I remove these four sets of photos from my LR catalog and import them back into the catalog with the "Add" feature. I wanted to see if anyone out there has any suggestions on what is happening and how to fix it before I try the Adobe suggestion. Like I said, it only happens on these four folders of photos that I added back to the catalog after using one of my last good backed up catalog to recover from the crash. Currently, my Sort Order is "Added Order". The photos in LR5 grid view show in the order I took the photo which is what I want. If I uncheck the "Stack with Original" box in the External Editing Tab in LR5 Preferences and edit a photo with one of the NIK products,the .tif photo goes to the end of the sequence and not put next to the original photo. With the "Stack with Original" box checked and I go to edit in one of the NIK products, it moves the original photo in the grid view to the last in the sequence and adds the .tif photo next to it. I never had this issue until LR5 crashed on me.

HDR Pro not opening from Photoshop CS5 or Bridge

I am trying to open 3 images into HDR Pro. They were taken on a tripod, so there should not be any alignment issues. Whether I select "Merge to HDR Pro" from Bridge or PS, the same thing happens. It starts running the script (opening new file with title Untitled_HDR1, making each file into a layer, etc.), but then it just stops and nothing happens. None of the programs crash, and none of the files are open in PS.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Download the trail version available to anybody and input your serial number there when you install it.
Note that you are not addressing adobe here in these user forums.

Merge to HDR Pro not working in my Photoshop CC

After selecting files in Bridge and merged them to HDR Pro in Photoshop, I could see the multiple layers opening. But then, all the files are gone. Just like nothing had happened.
It was the same if I use the
Choose File > Automate > Merge To HDR Pro.
I re-installed the Photoshop CC, the problem is still there. Anyone knows what happened?

my CC dosen't work on merge function too.

Merge To HDR Pro not allowing me to save?

For the life of me something is wrong with my Merge To HDR Pro. I can do everything else but at the bottom where there is supposed to be an option to save there is nothing or its pushed off my screen. Here's a screenshot?
I know it's going to be something simple and I'm just an idiot or something

No, you are not an idiot. This is a bug in CS5 that needs to be addressed. The window should be resizable for various monitors and this one is not. I am having the same problem and was about to tear my hair out. Thanks for the tip on cmd-enter, it lets me proceed, but in all reality we should be able to see the buttons at the bottom.

My CS5 HDR PRo not launching out of LR4

When I try to launch HDr Pro out of LR4 it opens CS5 but then does nothing else.
Also When I try to send files from LR4 to CS5 it asks me to update my Camera Raw but CS5 and LR4 say they are all up to date!
Please help? what more information can I provide?

I had a similar problem, it said a file could not be found (I cannot remember the file name but it ended with a number like 70). after trying a couple of times and having the same problem, I reset the overall preferences (launching photoshop while holding the shift alt command Key on a Mac) and then it worked. Save your workspace and color preferences before you do this, and you also have to reset all your general preferences

Merge to HDR Pro not working

I select images in Lightroom 5 and then select Merge in HDR Pro. The images go to Photoshop (CC), but when the HDR dialog opens, the imaage area is black. I also have PS CS6 and it works correctly there. Is this a bug in CC?

BTW I'm using a Macbook Pro Retina OS X 10.8.5
I uninstalled PS and reinstalled it. Now it works ok. However, when I did the upgrade to PS 14.1.2 it reverted back to it's old way.
It's a bug in the software for me. I've unistalled and reinstalled again and won't do an upgrade untill Adobe addresses the issue.

Nik HDR Pro plug in not working

I am using LR4 on a Mac , and have installed all of the Nik plug ins. They all work except the HDR. I make all of the adjustments in the program, click 'save', but when it returns to LR, none of the changes are there. I have had the same thing happen with a filter from my Olympus E5 - does not record the filter effects on import. Because it is happening in two different applications, I assume it is a LR problem. Any ideas?

When I edit music info it is not saved.

I've formated my mac a few weeks ago.
I've imported my lybrary with Time Machine and it works perfectly.
The only problem is that I can not edit any song's info. Nor title, artist, lyric, front cover..nothing! When I press OK all the new data I've written disappears and old information is shown again.
The files are not protected, I've already checked it.
Any help?

Firefox only stores data form one line input fields as saved form data.
For multi-line text areas you would need an extension to save this data.

Macbook Pro not saving local time machine snapshots

Hi,
First time using the Apple forums here but I can't seem to find a definate answer for my question.
I purchased a new Macbook Pro last week that came with Lion preinstalled. I noticed it was taking local time machine snapshots. In Time Machine it said Local snapshots, then backups each day etc etc....
Now it does not say local snapshots and they are not in my time machine timeline.
The only thing I have changed is my backup drive for Time Machine (3TB drive 600GB used now) so I do not know why my local snapshot function has vanished.
I know Lion is very new but has anybody seen this or has some advice for getting it back on again?

Macbook pro not saving any work when on shutdown or restart.

Macbook Pro 13'' early 2011.
i5, 4GB and 320 GB
OS: Mac OS X 10.7.3
System Pref version: 11.0
Everytime I shutdown or restart it does not save any of the system prefernecs and not any work done in terms of text, coding in Eclipse I mean nothing. No matter what you do when you start mac again it shows you the system as it was on Saturday.
This is very bad because spacially you rellay on your mac to work.

Repairing the permissions of a home folder in Lion is a complicated procedure. I don’t know of a simpler one that always works.
Launch the Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the page that opens.
Drag or copy – do not type – the following line into the Terminal window, then press return:
chmod -R -N ~
The command will take a noticeable amount of time to run. When a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) appears below what you entered, it’s done. You may see a few error messages about an “invalid argument” while the command is running. You can ignore those. If you get an error message with the words “Permission denied,” enter this:
sudo !!
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. You may get a one-time warning not to screw up.
Next, boot from your recovery partition by holding down the key combination command-R at startup. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
When the recovery desktop appears, select Utilities ▹ Terminal from the menu bar.
In the Terminal window, enter “resetpassword” (without the quotes) and press return. A Reset Password window opens.
Select your boot volume if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
Select  ▹ Restart from the menu bar.

Editing with CR from Bridge: not saving changes?!?

Hi all..this is my first post here! sure not the last one.

Ok, here is my issue...
I edit images with CS3, and i use Bridge as a starting platform, also to see images.
Now, owning a Nikon, my files are NEF (Nikon's RAW files). Fine. The thing is that when i open a NEF image FROM bridge with CR, in order to edit, whichever slight change i do on the NEF image it stayes on the original NEF files, even though i do not save the image!! I mean, if i want to mess around with a NEF image with CR, but DO NOT want to save the changes, how do I do it? If i modify, then close ACR...still the changes will remain in the pic in my folder.
Once i modified an image with CR through Bridge, a little rounded icon appears on the NEF image, on the top right corner; this button is apparently useless...i can ckick on it but nothing would happen.
I hope i could explain myself clearly.

Rest assured your raw NEF files are untouched. Any adjustments you make will only be kept in the sidecar file.
If you do NOT wish to keep the adjustments at all, just hit the Cancel button. If you hit Done, then the adjustments are kept in that sidecar file and are applied to the preview.
You would be well advised to read the documentation. ;)
The "button" you see actually has the icons of two sliders in it. It simply reminds you that YOU have made adjustments which are kept in the sidecar file and are applied to the thumbnail and previews, and to the image itself when you open it in Photoshop, UNLESS you clear the settings first. Look for the "Clear Settings" item in the Edit menu in Bridge when you have one of your images selected.
So, STOP hitting the "Done" button when you don't mean to keep the adjustments.

Edited photos from iphone 4s not saving when transferred to computer!!!

How come after I enhance my photos on my iphone4s and I transfer them to my computer, the changes don't save? Doesn't that defeat the purpose of editing them from your phone? Can this be fixed?

I am having the exact same problem. I am transferring photos via icloud to my windows 7 PC, some pictures I can rotate and others I can't. I get an error about file properties, even though the file properties are the same as the photos I can rotate. This is definitely some kind of bug.

CS6 Merge to HDR Pro not working

It goes through the process, when it gets to the alignment of images portion, it starts the alignment process, and just stops working. Any ideas what is wrong?

OMG. 2013??? I truly am screwed. I just had this bug spring up on my comp.
Do I seriously need to pirate CC just so I can get back the functionality that I paid good money for CS6 for?

5 years working towards going legit with Adobe. 2 years legit with 1 upgrade also paid for (CS5.5-CS6) and now I still have no upgrade path (Production Premium CS6 and refuse to pay 2-3 times more for CC) and broken functionality that won't see proper support?
