Edits made in earlier Camera Raws are not displaying in CS6 Bridge for PC

All the painstaking adjustments and croppings I've made over the years to my raw files in earlier versions of Camera Raw do not show up in CS6. It's as though I never did any adjustments.
But if I open the files in CS6 Camera Raw and make a tiny tweak adjustment for all files (such as +1 in saturation), then the entire set of previous adjustments DOES show up in CS6 Bridge.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled Photoshop CS6 a whole bunch of times and this never corrects!
Is there any fix for this? Or did I just get a BAD copy of Photoshop CS6 and am stuck, since there doesn't seem to be ANY support from Adobe for this.
I am subscribed to CC and this problem does not happen in CC Bridge, but I want to maintain CS6 because I don’t trust Adobe to keep the CC price at something I can afford.
PLEASE can someone offer a suggestion???

You have thumbnails set to embedded.  They will not show edits unless you opt for some version of HQ thumbnails, but these take up a lot more room and and slower to build.  Your choice.

  • Changes made in Camer Raw are not visible in Bridge

I'm editing the RAW images in Camera raw started from Bridge (Ctr- R). By returning to Bridge with "done" the changes are not visible. This worked until recently.
s there any setting which prevents Bridge taking in consideration the info from the XMP file ?
Re-starting Camera Raw I can see the changes from the previous session ...
    thanks in advance

I love these quick solutions also.

  • CS6 Bridge (PC) does not show adjustments made in earlier Camera Raw, or even its own Camera Raw! PLEASE HELP.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE WILL SOMEONE WHO KNOWS ABOUT THIS CONTACT ME???
CS6 Bridge does not show ANY of the adjustments I've made in previous versions of Camera Raw, and sometimes (intermittently) doesn't show adjustments made in CS6 Camera Raw.
I'm on a PC, I've uninstalled and reinstalled about 6 times. I feel so upset, I've spent literally HOURS going in circles on the Adobe website, trying to get help on the phone (I'll pay!!!) but there seems to be no way to contact anyone. I've posted this problem several times and no one answers.
If you don't know the answer, can you please tell me how to get tech help even if I have to pay for it??

Thanks, Omke. I tried updating, then applying all the same fixes to the updated version. No change.
I can attach a screenshot, but I must block out names and faces. All you'll see is my Bridge interface, not the faces in the portraits. Hope that helps.

  • Adjustments made in LR 2.1 are not Showing up in Bridge CS4

I thought that I had read somewhere that LR2 and Bridge CS4 were aware of each other and photo settings made using one application would be seen by the other. I can tell you that CS4 is not reading ratings, color labels, and ACR settings made using LR. I guess that I was wrong about any integration between Bridge CS4 and LR2?

Paul and Greg, thank you for your insightful posts! This makes sense.
Jeff, I think that you have already shown your true colors, But if you want to make me feel 2 inches tall, go ahead and try. I reserve embarrassment from those people who I hold some respect for. You are not deserving of any respect because you obviously knew what Paul and Greg shared without trying to be sarcastic and yet withheld it just to teach me a lesson about how superior that you think that you are. Then you try to hide behind just being humorous. I don't buy it. If you had told me what Paul did, then made the comment about "reading minds", I would agree that this was innocent humor. But you withheld the useful information and thus your apparent attempt at humor (after the fact) came access as sarcasm, given the lack of help it provided. I can only conclude that you are the one who is flailing about and I have no need for this kind of help.

  • Plant and Cost Center are not displaying in FI doc. for asset scrap ABAVN.

    Hi All,
When we do asset retirement by Scraping using Transaction Code ABAVN, Plant and Cost center are not appearing in the FI document. But, in the master data the Plant and Cost center are assigned for the particular Asset.
When I see the FI document display, the fields Cost Center and Plant are blank.  Business Area and Profit Center fields are getting updated.
Can any one help me how to get this Plant and Cost Center in the posted document.  Is there any OSS notes for this.  I am using ECC 6.0 version.
Thanks in advance for your help.

The systemtakes not the cost center from the asset you have to assign it in OKB9 or to fill in during this posting:
    Steps
Click on Simulate, than you see the posting screen:
Click on the line (pk 40)
Click on Goto and Additional account assignment and fill in the cost center whatu2019s in the master record of the asset and post
An other option is to make a substitution to get this information

  • Canon PowerShot A2300 .CRW files are not recognised by CS6, Bridge, ACR7 - Workaround??

I have enabled raw files on my Canon A2300 by loading up SDM (stereo data maker) scripting on the memory card, for the purpose of aerial photography (via kites and my small quadcopter). I now have nice big 16MP raw files that I cannot access on any software. Can anyone offer a workaround so that I can edit in ACR?
I have tried renaming the extension to .CR2 and .jpg but that didn't work.
    Thanks

I have just checked my .CRW files and realise that the display problem is not random, all .CRW images shot in portrait mode are displayed as landscape. This appears to be an Adobe issue and means that the helpdesk was right - PS CS6 does not fully support this type of Raw file.

  • Adobe camera raw will not respond in bridge cs6?

adobe camera raw does not respond in adobe bridge? I am trying to open Jpegs, which i have previously been able to do so by right clicking and opening in adobe camera raw. Now it is unresponsive.

You are definitely in the wrong forum for Bridge CS6 and Adobe Camera Raw. You have posted in the Adobe Premiere Elements Forum (video editing focus).
You probably want to be posting in the Photoshop Forum.
    http://forums.adobe.com/community/photoshop
My preliminary findings suggest possible workaround
    a. Open camera raw in Photoshop 5 or 5.5 and then open edited raw image in Bridge CS6
    or
    b. There is a preferences route to check out.
Not being a Photoshop user, this is a quick suggestion where you might start looking. This is apparently a known issue.
The Photoshop users should be able to give you all the details and options you have for workarounds for now.

  • Camera Raw changes not saving

Changes done in Camera Raw are not saving to be usable in PS or other programs.
    I am using CS6 with windows 7.
I accidentally took a heap of photos in jpeg. I edited them in Camera Raw - then save the changes in jpeg format but still no changes showing in PS. I have tried Save As, Done, Open image but the changes are not appearing in my PS

    Penny,
The button at bottom, "Open Image", doesn't mean "open an image in Camera Raw". It means "open the currently displayed image in a new document in Photoshop".
"Open Image" will pass the adjusted image that you are viewing, not the file itself, to Photoshop where a new document will open and contain the image. The current Camera Raw adjustments for the file it has open will simultaneously be saved and Camera Raw will close.
Hold down Shift key to see the button change to "Open Object" which will result in a new Photoshop document being opened containing a Smart Object which encloses an independant duplicate of the file and adjustments which you are currently viewing in Camera Raw. The current Camera Raw adjustments for the file it has open will simultaneously be saved and Camera Raw will close.
Hold down Option/Alt key to see the button change to "Open Copy" which is like "Open Image" except the adjustments which you are currently making in Camera Raw will only affect the image that is sent to Photoshop and adjustments will not be saved.

  • Hi please can you help me. I have photoshop CS5 extended, I bought a new camera Nikon D610 I want to edit my photos adobe camera raw , but when I try to open photoshop CS5 it will not open. Please can you tell me how to download and install the camera raw

HI bought a new camera Nikon D610 , I am using adobe photoshop CS5 extended, I want to edit my photos in camera raw but it is not possible to do so . I need to download camera raw plugin for CS5 can some tell me how to do so or if there is a link for the camera plugin.
    Many thanks Pitt.

For that Nikon model you need ACR 8.3 that means CS6 or CC.  Or you can download the DNG converter convert your Nikon RAW files to Adobe RAW files. And then process the Adobe RAW files with CS5 ACR version  6.7

  • Opening 32 bit TIFF in camera raw (or not...)

I have been following tutorials on creating HDR images in photoshop using the 32 bit function.
Once I have created the 32 bit image, and saved it as a Tiff file. I then go into bridge and made sure the preferences for camera raw are set to enable suppoprted TIFFs. However I cannot open this image through camera raw, it just opens up in photoshop...
In the turorials I have seen this does not seem to be a problem for others, why won't this work for me?

    Sudarshan,
    Thankyou for your reply.
I have managed to resolve this problem now. I have recently downloaded photoshop and therefore assumed it was the most up to date version. This was not however the case, as I had camera raw 7.0 installed. I have updated this to the latest version and this problem has resolved itself, I can now edit the 32-bit TIFFs in camera raw.

  • Bridge and Camera RAW preferences not working

    I'm setting up a new Macbook Pro, late 2013 15", 10.9.2
CS6 Production Premium, Also have Indesign CS6, LR5, Acrobat Pro 11. Camera RAW is version 8.4. Everything is up to date.
Bridge and Camera RAW preferences are not working correctly. Bridge prefs related to Bridge display, e.g. color theme, text beneath thumbnails, favorite locations, etc.. all work fine. Bridge prefs open and close fine with no errors. "Double Click Edits Camera RAW Settings in Bridge" does not take. Photoshop launches to open Camera RAW regardless of whether this is checked or not. Camera RAW preferences will not open. Selecting "Camera RAW Preferences" from Bridge does nothing. Camera RAW seems to work fine hosted by Photoshop.
I tried a new user with the same results.
What's up with this? Anyone else seeing this? Solution?

  • Camera Raw does not read previously saved XMP files (Canon 60D)

    Hi,
I want to ask if it is a real problem or just me doing something wrong.
I open RAW files made with Canon 60D (Photoshop CS5, Camera Raw 6.6), then I do what a do (cropping, exposure changes, sharpen ... etc.), then I click the Done button. Camera Raw saves XMP files along with the RAW files. After this I want to do some more editing, I open the RAW files, but Camera RAW does not "remember" what it did just minutes before. I suppose that it is not reading the XMP files that it created.
So is it me or it is some kind of bug?
I don't have this problem when editing RAW files made with Canon 400D.
    Thanks for your time!

If I understand correctly the issue is not viewing in Bridge, but rather that ACR doesn't remember the changes.
There is a discussion in the Camera Raw forum about this issue of not always reading the changes after clicking Done in ACR.
    But no solution.

Yes, ACR doesn't remember/show the changes I made.
It seems that I have the same problem as the other forum member from the link. I tried to recreate the issue, but this time all went well and ACR displayed the changes I made ...
It is strange because I had the issue numerous times on two different windows PC's ...

  • Changes I make in camera raw do not show up or update in bridge.

    Greetings.
    I’m working in PS CS4 in XP(government).
Changes I make in camera raw do not show up or update in bridge.
These images DO process with the changes when I run my actions.
For example: Open images in bridge. Edit. Open reaming images in camera raw. Push the images two stops in camera raw. Close camera raw. Images in bridge show no change. Run action to turn raw files into psd. Final PSD appear pushed two stops.
    Purging Cache make no difference.
    Thoughts?

You are using Embedded thumbnails.  These are small and fast, but do not show raw edits.
You need to use one of the HQ thumb options to see the edits.

  • Camera Raw adjustments not applying

Hi everyone, Im on a mac using Photoshop CS4, Camera Raw 5.0.
In Camera Raw I made adjustments to about 277 Canon CR2raw files then hit Done, so the adjustments would take place, then In Photoshop I batched the 277 files to Jpg output, and I noticed that the adjustments I made in Camera Raw did not take effectinthe batch process, Am I missing something or doing something wrong? I do this same process in CS3 without issue.

    Thomas,
Could you explain in more detail exactly how you are doing the batching? Are you using Image Processor? Are you generating Jpegs directly from within ACR? Are you using Photoshop>Batch from Bridge?
If I remember correctly there are some specific "gotchas" related to using Photoshop>Batch. Jeff talks about this in his book. I think it is related to the "Overide action open" option. One way uses the same recipe for all images in the batch and another way uses each image's recipe. Something like that.
If all you are doing is converting to Jpeg, I strongly recommend using Image Processor or Russell Brown's 1-2-3 Process (Image Processor + a few additional options).

  • I re-downloaded my Photoshop recently and Adobe Bridge no longer displays my Nikon NEF files and Camera Raw will not open them.

I re-downloaded my Photoshop recently and Adobe Bridge no longer displays my Nikon NEF files and Camera Raw will not open them.  I get a message saying that Camera Raw does not support my camera type but it always has in the past.  The bridge no longer shows the picture view of my NEF files.  These are Nikon NEF files from the Nikon 5100 DSLR camera.  How do I fix this?

When you re-installed Photoshop, you also re-installed the version of Camera Raw which shipped with Photoshop - in other words you reverted to an older version of Camera Raw which does not support the D5100.
