EDPAR data in relation to XI

Hi,
  We are using XI to communicate between and SAP and non-SAP. In the past (without XI) we used to maintain EDPAR table to convert external custom numbers to internal. But now we have XI, what is the best way/approach to convert the external customer to internal custom numbers.
In case of outbound, how XI identify that a particular belongs to a specific customer/vendor. Does it needs to ready the partner data in the IDOC structure or any other method?
Thanks
Ram

Hi Ram,
Plesae refer to Page# 13 on How-to-guide <a href="http://service.sap.com/~form/sapnet?_SHORTKEY=01200252310000071155&_SCENARIO=01100035870000000202&_OBJECT=011000358700003604082004E">How to sample IDoc scenarios within XI 3.0</a> which gives you clear idea on how the conversion takes place in XI.
Let me know if you have any specific questions on this topic.

    hi ,
    i have created  a z table named as zstudent.  In that i hve one field name as zstandard which should contain only roman numbers  from I TO X (1ST TO 10 TH ) class .hw can i do this .wen i creating entries on that table it should restrict to only roman numbers.is there any data type related to roman numbers
    thanks in advance

    points will be rewarded if useful.

    Why don't you simply maintain a regular integer or even a numeric value in your internal table and then output the appropriate Roman numeral using CASE...ENDCASE when you need to use it?
    Or if you don't have that many, then create a series of constants and use those.

  • How to add data in related issue field in issue tracking list sharepoint 2013

    Hi,
    I'm using out of box Issue Tracking List. In Related Issue I want to add some data like :- Business, Technical, HR, Contractor etc in right side so user can select one of them add it. Not sure how to add these data in Related Issue column. Please advice.

    Related Issues is a lookup column to the same list which is Issue Tracking List. so you can add new items where title is Business, Technical, HR, Contractor etc then you will get those under related issues.

    ps -ef |grep mrp

    Similarly ,In a typical Linux server hosting a Primary DB what are the data guard related OS processes that appear in ps output ? Will LNS process appear in ps output ? Not exactly but it appears has different name, on your primary try below commands
    SQL> select pid from v$managed_standby where process='LNS';
    $ps -ef|grep <pid value>
    hope this helps, on standby you can use same procedure to find the RFS OS process

  • XML Data from Relational Tables

    Hi,
    My requirement is to pull data from relational tables into xml format and port it to the user (either as a file or allow the user to access it directly from their browser). What is the best way to accomplish this. Your suggestions are appreciated.
    thanks.

    Marco,
    Thanks for your reply, did try that , but I want the users to query this view also. Due to the nature of the xml structure I am getting the correct results. May be my xpath query is not right? My xml is as below:
    <node1 attribute-node1 = "somevalue1">
    <cnode1 attribute-cnode1 = "somevalue2">
    <cnode2 attribute-cnode2 = "somevalue3">
    <cnode3>somevalue4</cnode3>
    <cnode4>somevalue5</cnode4>
    </cnode2>
    <cnode2 attribute-cnode2 = "somevlaue6">
    <cnode3>somevalue6</cnode3>
    <cnode4>somevalue7</cnode4>
    </cnode2>
    </cnode1>
    </node1>
    and my requirement is like : the user wants to see only cnode2 with attribute value "somevalue3" (along with the rest of the xml) ie
    <node1 attribute-node1 = "somevalue1">
    <cnode1 attribute-cnode1 = "somevalue2">
    <cnode2 attribute-cnode2 = "somevalue3">
    <cnode3>somevalue4</cnode3>
    <cnode4>somevalue5</cnode4>
    </cnode2>
    </cnode1>
    </node1>
    Need the correct xpath query for this.
    Thanks

  • Foreign Trade / Intrastat - data order-related billing (downpayments)

    Hi,
    Shortly we have implemented the down payment functionality in our flows. Because downpayments require order-related billing the intrastat/foreign trade data is not copied into the closing invoice.
    Apparently it is only possible to copy the data from a delivery.
    We are in a make-to-order environment and we still create deliveries but because of the down payments, the invoice is created from the sales order and hence no intrastat data is copied which ofcourse is required ...
    Can't find a suitable user exit for filling this data into the billing document. Also tried using copy data transfer (vofm) filling up tables eikp and eipo but that didn't work.
    The only option open for me at the moment is creating a proforma invoice automatically from the delivery. This document can then be included in the intrastat reporting.
    Is there another solution ?
    with regards

    Hi,
    in the copy control between order and invoice you need to set the 'determine export data' to 'B' so that it will be redetermined in the invoice. After that the relevant foreign trade userexits will work as well.

  • Lease Out Contract - Master Data Structural Relations

    Dear Gurus,
    I am new to FX RE and if my question is too simple, please excuse me!
    I am researching the possibilities for the master data structure of lease in contracts and have a serious confusion.
    The documentation says that objects can be assigned to a contract individually or many objects related to one contract. At the same tim it is said that rental units are assigned only to lease out contracts.
    How should i proceed if my company has got many lease in contracts for different object. Is it a must the contract to be assigned to an object or it can be managed just as a contract? I saw that from the RE Navigator you can create a contract, does that mean that in FX RE the contracts itself is considered as master data record?
    Any opinions will be highly appreciated.
    Many thanks in advance!

    Dear Kumar,
    Sorry if I ve been confusing. I will try to make it more clear.
    I am working for a Teleco and i am researching the possibility of implementing FX - RE internally. We will not need all the functionalities of the module, but only the ones that allow you to manage your lease in contracts. We`ve got lots of base stations contracts (as you can imagine) where our company is a tenant in a lease contract.
    I did some research in relation to the master data structure and cant work out how should our master data be structured. The business requirements are  - handling the advance payments, accruals and postings, giving and receiving notices, adjustments of rent etc. Is it possible to create the contract within the system,  set all the conditions directly in it or do we need to have another master record other that the contract itself.
    My confusion comes from the fact that the standard solution of the lease outs suggests creating a rental unit first and then assigning the contract to it. But since we will be tenants we dont need to more detailed information on these objects, we just need the conditions in the contract that will let us handle all the activities that arise in connection to it.
    I hope that i put the question more clearly this time.
    Can you also tell me if it is possible to create a template and after entering the conditions about the particular contract to generate it from the system on a hard copy?
    Many thanks and sorry if i cant make myself more clear!

  • SQL Developer Data Modeler - Relation to Foreign Key Generation

    SQL Developer Data Modeler 2.0.0 Build 584.
    I am having trouble with Relations to Foreign Keys when Forward Engineering a Relational Model from a Logical Model.
    First of all, the Naming Standard is not applied to the Foreign Keys when I perform the Engineer to Relational Model.
    So I right click on the Relational Model from the Browser and Apply Naming Standards to Keys and Constraints.
    I uncheck everything but Foreign Keys.
    Now, Foreign Keys are named according to my Naming Standards.
    However, this process also performs renames on the Column Foreign Keys even though I specifically unchecked that option.
    This appears to be a BUG in the software and I haven't found a way around it.
    I tried using {column} instead of {ref column} in the Naming Standard Template for Column Foreign Key, but that simply resulted in renaming my columns to "{column}".
    Please confirm and/or let me know of any work-around for this.
    Thanks,
    Dan

    Hi Philip,
    Thanks for the reply.
    Is this recorded as a bug to be addressed in the future?
    Should I submit this problem via Oracle Support?
    The other work-around I came up with is to override every Relation name in the Logical Model with the name I want to use in the Relational Model.
    When the Relational Model is Engineered, this becomes my Foreign Key name.
    Of course, this is not how I want to do things, so I am hoping for a bug fix someday.

  • How to change the Data Base Relation in a universe?

    We are working with BO 6.5a.One universe in connected to a 'DB2/400 (iSeries)'  data base.
    All Objects in a universe are related to a defined library like <libraryname>.<tablename>.<fieldname>.
    We like to change the libraryname. Is there any chance to do this in the existing universe?
    Why?
    We like to have the same database two times in our System, only the data are different.
    Details:
    The universe of course points to a library (A) and connection is done with ODBC.
    Changing ODBC to another library (B) is no problem; and, of course we then can change the tables in the universe manually => a lot of work.
    But we like to change the pointer in the universe at once (each object shows to the library (A) and we want them to show at (B)).
    The 'refresh structure' - button won't do it.

    In the universe you can select all the tables Ctrl-A, right click and rename tables. Remove the reference to the library.

  • Mapping with xml-schema XML-data to relational tables

    Hello,
    is it possible to map data from xml documents to relational tables with xml-schema?
    I mean not in nested tables but in relational tables with primary and foreign keys!
    With SQL Server 2005 it is very easy, I dont believe that Oracle couldn't do this!
    I searched but i cant find anything about that!
    Thx
    user445232

    indeed, oracle does this for xml schema based xmltype data, however, these underlying tables are not accessable to the application. Maybe It should for next version, so folks who like to use relational model can use it without mapping it manually.
    Actually, nested tables, are the same, their underlying tables (segments) are indeed relational tables, oracle manages them internally and not visiable to the application. You can find them in the user_segments, user_objects views though.

  • Data Socket related Crash

    Greetings,
    I have an LV 8.6 HMI that performs Data Socket reads
    from Network Shared Variables. I am finding that it works well until I
    try to shut down and close all the DS references. I can usually get
    away with this
    once, but if I try to restart the application I often
    will not be able to reopen the DS reference and it will always crash
    when I try to shutdown again. I have narrowed it down to just DS opens
    and closes
    and the problem persists. Attached is the error message
    that pops up when LV crashes, not much to go on but any ideas would be
    greatly appreciated.

    Hello,
    Which version of Windows are using? There are some cases in the past with NT that relate to this error because windows was updated. A Microsoft KB explains that here.
    This also may be an issue with the Shared Variable Engine having a conflict with the firewall or antivirus software. You may need to go through this document to configure your windows firewall if you already have not.

  • Store XML data as relational data into Oracle tables using Java and XMLType

    I want to store xml data into an Oracle 11g table as relational storage, not as CLOB or Binary storage. Then I should also be able to query and fetch this data from table into an XML file.
    Any hint on how to write java code using XMLType to achieve this?
    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks for the explanation. I still have few confusions. I will try to elaborate my requirement with a simple example...
    I have the following xsd and xml files. "note" would be the table in database and "to", "from", "heading" and "body" would be the columns of note table. "Tove", "Jan", "Reminder" and "Don't forget me this weekend!" would go as data in one row of note table.
    How do I create note table with the xml schema (xsd file)?
    Should the note table be of XMLType or the columns?
    How do I load the XML data into the columns of note table?
    How do I retrieve the row of note table as XML file?
    XML Schema:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <xs:schema xmlns:xs="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
    targetNamespace="http://www.xxxxx.com"
    xmlns="http://www.xxxxx.com"
    elementFormDefault="qualified">
    <xs:element name="note">
      <xs:complexType>
        <xs:sequence>
          <xs:element name="to" type="xs:string"/>
          <xs:element name="from" type="xs:string"/>
          <xs:element name="heading" type="xs:string"/>
          <xs:element name="body" type="xs:string"/>
        </xs:sequence>
      </xs:complexType>
    </xs:element>
    XML Data:
    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <note>
      <to>Tove</to>
      <from>Jan</from>
      <heading>Reminder</heading>
      <body>Don't forget me this weekend!</body>
    </note>

  • Data Modeler: Relational data model questions

    1. Can a different notation be specified for relational data models' constraints? Specifically, I'd like crow's feet. BTW, the docs show crow's feet and parent pointer (with the arrowhead), but there's no such thing in the actual modeler.
    2. Is there any way to manually route FK constraints lines?
    3. When forward engineering from logical, is there any way to indicate the preferred name for keys and indexes (primary, unique, foreign)?
    4. Mandatory/optional indicator on tables: what exactly does 'N' or 'A' stand for? I can understand 'N' meaning "Not optional", but 'A'? Wouldn't it be simpler to use '*' and 'o' like in the logical?
    Man, do I ever miss Designer!
    Thanks,
    Patrick

    Here's one more question:
    I've transformed several super/sub entities to relational, and some of the tables do not allow me to open Properties (on the table). I can use the navigator to open column properties, but cannot open table properties (neither from diagrammer nor from navigator). Some of the tables are two or three subtype levels deep, and I haven't figured out why some open and some don't.

  • Loading XML Data into Relational Table

    Hello,
    I receive an XML file generated from another tool (on Windows), I am trying to create a Linux shell script that will gather the needed XML file from my Linux database server, then have Oracle use this file to load the XML data into a relational table. This activity & data will be needed on an ongoing basis.
    I have tried this two ways. First, I loaded the XML document into the database and tried to extract the data directly from the document, but that is not working. Now I want to try to read the data directly from the file on the server via select, however I am not getting any data returned. In the Select statement below, I am simply trying to query the data to see what is returned for my testing.
    Create Table ci_results_table (transactionID Varchar2(100), //transactionID should be PrimaryKey but was getting NULL value errors during insert test, so removed PK
    message Varchar2(200),
    ci Varchar2(50),
    processeddate xmltype,
    status Varchar2(50),
    sourcefile VarChar2(100));
    select x.*
    from XMLTable(
         'TSPLoadResults/Results'
         PASSING xmltype(bfilename('CMDB_DEVADHOCRESULTS_DIR','LoadResults-HP_146.results.xml'), nls_charset_id('AL32UTF8'))
         COLUMNS
           transactionID Varchar2(100) PATH 'TransactionID',
           Result XMLType PATH 'Result',
           Message Varchar2(200) PATH 'Message',
           PrimaryKey Varchar2(50) PATH 'PrimaryKey',
           ProcessedDate date PATH 'ProcessedDate',
           Status Varchar2(50) PATH 'Status',
           SourceFile VarChar2(100) PATH 'SourceFileName'
       ) x
    Eventually I will need to build on this to limit the data returned to those records where SourceFileName is like 'HPDS%' and insert what is returned in to the ci_results_table. Attached is a sample Results XML file I am trying to load, It is named "ResultsTransformedtoUnix" because I used dos2Unix to convert it to Unix which may be right or wrong. (The output file I send out has to be transformed to DOS format before the other application can read it). Original file (before Unix conversion) named in script is also attached.
    Please help. Thank you!

    Hi,
    I see some wrong things in your query.
    1) The obvious one, explaining why you're not getting any data : there's a typo in the XQuery expression, it's "Result" not "Results"
    2) ProcessedDate cannot be extracted as a date (at least not directly) since it actually represents a timestamp, use TIMESTAMP WITH TIME ZONE datatype and cast back to DATE in the SELECT clause
    3) transactionID is an attribute, it must be accessed with '@' (or 'attribute::' axis)
    4) If the file encoding is truly ISO-8859-1 as the prolog suggests, then do not use AL32UTF8 but the corresponding charset name : WE8ISO8859P1
    Here's the working query :
    select x.transactionID
         , x.Message
         , x.Primarykey
         , cast(x.ProcessedDate as date) ProcessDate
         , x.Status
         , x.SourceFile
    from XMLTable(
           '/TSPLoadResults/Result'
           PASSING xmltype(bfilename('XML_DIR','LoadResults-HP_146.results.xml'), nls_charset_id('WE8ISO8859P1'))
           COLUMNS
             transactionID Varchar2(100)            PATH '@transactionID',
             Message       Varchar2(200)            PATH 'Message',
             PrimaryKey    Varchar2(50)             PATH 'PrimaryKey',
             ProcessedDate timestamp with time zone PATH 'ProcessedDate',
             Status        Varchar2(50)             PATH 'Status',
             SourceFile    VarChar2(100)            PATH 'SourceFileName'
         ) x
    Using this query directly over the file will only perform decently (for large files) on 11.2.0.4 and onwards.
    On prior versions, first load the file in a (temporary) XMLType column with Binary XML storage and SELECT from there.
    because I used dos2Unix to convert it to Unix which may be right or wrong.
    This conversion shouldn't be necessary.
