Education cs6 master serial number suddenly doesn't work

My partner has bought an educational CS6 Master collection for Mac and installed it on my computer more than a year ago.
Today I started to get the message that the serial number is invalid.
What shall I do?

I have just checked the ELO (Dutch for Enduser License Agreement that came with the product when I acquired it). It says: "Onder Licentie wordt verstaan het eeuwigdurend recht om een exemplaar van het Softwareproduct te installeren, te kopiëren of anderszins te gebruiken."
Or in English: "Licensing means the perpetual right to install a copy of the Software Product, copy it or otherwise use it". So in my opinion they are not allowed to just terminate my license all of a sudden. I will contact legal tomorrow about this and take action if needed.

  • Encore suddenly askes current CC subscriber for serial number and doesn't work

    I am a long time and current CC subscriber. Yesterday, Encore CS6 worked. Today, when i click to open Encore and the program prompts me to enter a serial number or "quit". There is no other option.
    All my other apps are current and work: Ae, Pr, Ps, Mu, Ai, Au, ect, ect. All but Encore.....
    Any CC subscriber knows that our subscription doesn't come with a serial number. So I am left wondering why my program worked yesterday and today it doedsn't work. Mind you, nothing has changed between the the time i left my computer to the time i returned. No updates, no new installs, n o t h i n g.
    So I follow my first instinct to search google and bing and I find that this appears to be a common problem with no soultions short of re-writing and deleting all kinds of crazy files that honestly just look unscrupulous and only meant to really screw things up worse for the person having the problem.
    So, next I follow the walkthrough at adobe's link here: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/ccm-prompt-serial-number.html    It didn't help me because it doesn't address the problem. All my other apps work so obviously my address, email, and payment options are up to date.
    Next, I click live chat at 6:00pm pst and I am bounced from one guy to the next until at 7pm pst i get the message... "Sorry to hear that your application will not work. Please contact the more experienced tech team later as they are offline."   WHAT?!?!?! No solution, just, "Your problem happend at an inconvenient time for adobe so come back later." And no mention of when that time will be. THAT is NOT CUSTOMER Service. This so not cool, moral, or right in any universe. Just leave me hanging. I can not put in to words how upset I am right now. Adobe has really let me down.
    When my clients have problems, I deal with it right then and there and I don't leave until it's fixed and done. I may jump ship on this one.

    Richard, I tried "run as administrator" to no avail. However, I was able to get in touch with a adobe tech today. After getting passed to about 3 or 4 different techs, one was finally able to assist me.
    The tech had me open Pre Pro CC and go to "help" and click "sign-out". When you do that a pop-up appears saying that: signing out will deactivate the following software on this computer unless you sign in again; following with the icon for each Adobe CC app i have installed.
    Next the tech had me open Pre Pro CS6, which upon opening askes you to sign in which I did. Once Pre Pro CS6 was open, The tech had me check under "help" to see if the the option "deactivate" was available or greyed out. For me, It was greyed out.
    Next the tech had me close Pre Pro CS6 and open it again and check "help" to see if deactivate was still greyed out; and it was still greyed out.
    Next the tech had me close Pre Pro CS6 and open Pre Pro CC which prompts you to sign in. After Pre Pro CC launched the tech had me close it and open Pre Pro CS6 again too check under the "help" tab again and confirm if "deactivate" was still greyed out or black (executable). This time "deactivate" was black.
    Next the tech had me launch Encore CS6 tto see if it still required a serial number. This time Ecore opened as it should, without requiring a serial number.
    Hopefully this stick, or Adobe includes a perminant solution in the next update.

    I re-downloaded CS6 after cleaning my computer and when I enter the Serial Number I get this message "Serial Number you provided is valid, but a qualifying product could not be found on this computer". From other posts I saw that someone contacted support but I can't find a number anywhere that I can call. Hoping someone can help me ASAP due to these programs being essential for my business.

    I have been using the skype number +852 81926138 and it has been working just fine for a little more than 3 months. All in a sudden, I try calling myself using my landline and a long sounding (i.e. not working) tone pops up. My subscription is due in November 2013 (i.e. not yet overdue) and I have tied up the number to my skype user ID (which is joeyshaw) correctly. what seems to be the problem? system failure? I can see quite a number of people facing the same problem in this forum. Could anyone answer me?

  • Owner of CS6 Master. Unaccidentally installed Acrobat XI Professional. Was always trial - not upgrade. Uninstalled Acrobat XI Pro. Can I just download the Acrobat X Pro and install it using the CS6 Master License number ?

    Hi, I believe I made a mistake when installed Acrobat XI Professional over the CS6 Master version Acrobat X Professional. The result ended up with running a trial version of Acrobat XI Professional. I wanted to upgrade but not using the subscription version, but rather buy the software and own it, like with my CS6 Master Software. Well, I now uninstalled the Acrobat XI Professional and wondering if I now can download the Acrobat X Pro software, install it and use the CS6 Master license number to get going ?

    Well. After downloading the separate full version of Acrobat X Professional, it could not be installed using the serial # for CS6 Master Collection. I started the installation for CS6 Master Collection and ONLY selected Acrobat X Professional. Voila! Now everything is working.

    How do I proceed?

    Sign in to your Adobe account online and see if your serial number is available via the My products section.  If you regstered your software then it should be available there.
    Your only other hope beyond that would be to contact Adobe Support thru chat and see if they can help you.  Also ask them to reset your activations so that the lost installation is essentially deactivated.

    If you purchased it as a download you should have a link to download it in your Adobe account online.  Otherwise you can download the trial version and use your serial number to activate it.

    *where XX is the number of Serial numbers to capture.*
    *If XX = 15, i need to capture 15 serial numbers.*
    *NNNNNNN is the series of the serial number beginning.*
    *If NNNNNNN = 1234500, and XX = 5, the Master Serial numbers generated would be 1234500 1234501 1234502 1234503 1234504*
    *(5 S/Ns should be generated).*
    (S and K can be left alone).
    Now When i enter the Master Serial Number SXXNNNNNNNK, and when I press enter, internally a User Exit should be triggered and generate the required number of S/Ns.
    Can anyone please help me out what is the User Exit i need to use so that my requirement as mentioned above is fulfilled?

         You can use the user exit include - MV45AFZZ and the subroutine FORM USEREXIT_NUMBER_RANGE.

    Elton Adobe which web browser are you utilizing?  Are you signed into http://www.adobe.com/ when you attempt to contact our support team directly at Contact Customer Care.
    I would recommend utilizing a different web browser and contacting our support team directly as suggested by KGlad in message #6.

    There are no upgrade paths from CS2.
    If you purchased used software you're pretty much on your own. Much of what is sold on places like eBay or Craigs List doesn't have valid licenses. Caveat emptor.

    Besweet, I'm having the very same problem with 60GB colour which was bought new and worked for 6 months before suddenly just not being recognised by PC. I hadn't changed anything at all.
    I've followed all troubleshooting advice and reinstalled and updated iTunes and iPod updater software but all troubleshooting routes seem to hit the dead end of either the need to access the iPod via the PC (which isn't possible as it's not showing up at all) or the iPod in disc mode stuck at "ok to disconnect".
    It's still under 1yr warranty so will have to take to a dealer.
    I'm sorry that's not much help for you but at least you know it's not a unique problem.

    Hi, sometimes Shift+clear works as numlock.
    Also open System Preferences>Universal Access>Keyboard tab, & see if Sticly keys is on.
    One way to test is to Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, Test for problem in Safe Mode...
    PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive
    Reboot, test again.
    If it only does it in Regular Boot, then it could be some hardware problem like Video card, (Quartz is turned off in Safe Mode), or Airport, or some USB or Firewire device, or 3rd party add-on, Check System Preferences>Accounts (Users & Groups in later OSX versions)>Login Items window to see if it or something relevant is listed.
    Check the System Preferences>Other Row, for 3rd party Pref Panes.
    Also look in these if they exist, some are invisible...
