If you are purchasing from the Adobe Education Store, do NOT fax your Proof of Academic Identification Form to 415-626-2975. Although the number is on their website, 2 customer service reps told me that they no longer have a fax machine. They want you to go through a customer service rep over the phone. They must be paid by commission. My rep tried to overcharge me by $50.00. I am still paying more than if I was able to purchase right off the website. It is poor business.

The reps want you to scan the documents and email them directly to them. This way they get a commission. Their fax machine didn't unplug itself! Otherwise you would be able to place your order without ever contacting a rep.

Education store, no serial number, status reset

I've just gotten a confirmation email from the education store:
"We are pleased to inform you that your proof of academic identification has been accepted. Your order has been processed."
(and so on and so forth)
In My Account > Order History the order says it is still Pending with no downloads available but that the boxed copy has an expected delivery date of the 20th. If I goto http://www.adobe.com/go/uk_orderstatus and type in my order number, it comes back with:
Order status: Awaiting student documentation
Just a few hours ago it said that my documentation was received and being processed.
So...
The email says my order is complete
My Account says the order is pending but I'm getting a boxed copy
Order Status says that I have not yet given my student documentation
When I ordered Flash CS4 just over two years ago via the education store, I got a boxed copy shipped out, but a serial number was provided right away in the confirmation email so I could activate a downloaded trial version without having to wait for physical media.
What on earth is going on?

Check in Root/Library/Preferences for a file named com.apple.RegLogic******.plist. The name may differ depending on which version of Logic or Logic Express was previously installed or if you had a partial install of the AppStore version.
That file HAS to be deleted.

Upgrading [from CS4 DP to CS5.5 DS] vs. Purchasing Full [in Education Store]

I currently have CS4 Design Premium, but would like to purchase CS5.5 Design Standard. I am a college student [pursuing a degree in graphic design]; therefore it is more cost efficient if I purchase the full package from the Education Store, rather than purchasing the upgrade itself. There seems to be a rather large difference in price, and as a college student, I don't have a large supply of money to use at will.
I'm wondering if it would cause any problems to purchase from the Education Store instead of the Upgrade?
I figured I'd just uninstall the programs I have, then install the new versions. The only problem I could foresee would be something with me having purchased a product from the Educational Store before. Does anyone know what the protocol here would be?

BTW, I believe the only limit (besides having to be a student) is that you can only buy one copy of a program per year. This is new a version so I can't see any problem with that.

Lightroom at the Adobe online education store ?

I am trying to buy lightroom from the US education store but it does not seem to be available. The Lightroom FAQ states that lightroom will be available for $99 to students, but I can not find it anywhere in the on-line store.
Anybody knows how to order the discounted version?

iTunes Store- Accepted forms of payment

Just bought a macbook air through education store and didn't get gift card to app store

I thought there was a deal going that if you buy through the education store you also get an 100$ gift card to the app store with purchase. I ordered my macbook air a week ago when the promotion was still running and it still is, but I didn't get the gift card with my purchase. Did other people get it?

I am in a similar situation. I purchased a MacBook Air last week for my husband as a gift. We are both students right now, but I ignorantly bought the Air from the regular store. When I realized it I called Customer Care and all they offered to do was give me the discounted pricing. I am very disappointed... It doesn't seem right.
The Air just got to California, so it's still in the process of being shipped. Maybe I should go to a retail store and complain once it arrives. Any suggestions?

I am a student at an American University and I am considering buying Design Premium CS 5.5 through the education store. I often travel to Portugal where I use my brother's computer to work on. If I buy the above mentioned product with a personal license will I be able to use the software in Portugal when I am there?

Yes. The activation doesn't care on what system it runs as long as you have one of your 2 activations left. The only limitation is of course that it will be in Englishbecause your serial is language specific and that, should you ever decide to stay in Portugal, you will find it impossible to upgrade it because likewise, upgrade serial numbers are different in differtent parts of the world and US licenses won't work with EU upgrades....

Ipods/Nanos Education Store

These no longer appear to be available at discount from the education store. Is there anything on the Apple site which confirms this?

I called Apple and the gal at the educational phone site said that when the new nanos came out they were already reduced in price, so Apple was not going to discount them on the education Apple Store.
So what does that say for everything else that is reduced in the education Apple Store? Hmmmm.....

How can I install creative suite cs6 after proof of academic status?

I bought creative suite cs6, the cd, and downloaded a trial while i waited for them to accept my proof of academic status, and now it's been accepted and i have some sort of serial number.
But I don't know where I can download the proper indesign from the numbers i got in the email???

You simply input the serial in your trial version: Help --> Activate. If it doesn't work, simply reinstall using the DVD from your package.

iPhones purchased from the online Apple Store in Australia will be unlocked. To the best of my knowledge, unlocked iPhone are not available from the physical Apple Stores at this time, though you can call the Apple Store in Melbourne and inquire.
Note that the warranty on iPhones is not international, so if you purchase an iPhone in Australia and it needs service, you would have to ship the iPhone to someone in Australia to take or send to Apple for service and then ship it back to you.

I would like to know if Font Folio is offered via Adobe Education Store and if so are there any limitations of use after my education has completed and I wish to continue using the Font Folio? I think they're up to version 11 right now.

What is the benefit of ordering an iPhone on the apple education store? There doesn't appear to be any discounts or any promotions.

Gift voucher not received from education store

I ordered a macbook air 13" via the education store, which meant I was meant to receive a £70 voucher for the app/itunes store with it. However, it did not arrive with my order and I was wondering whether I have missed something, or what should I do now?

Bought my Macbook Pro through the educational discount & wasn't supplied with anything in writing or on the invoice stating that it was supplied with a 3 year warranty.

to get three years guarantee you basically have two choices: buy full AppleCare or an "AppleCare Parts&Labor-Aggreement", which is – educational price – less than half of it. It is a bring-in-guarantee, no telephone-support and no extra software like with full AppleCare.
I donot know where to buy "Parts&Labor" in the US, in Germany one can buy it from a (good) retailer. I bought it together with my MBP directly from the Applewebstore (Edu–). It was offered as an option, couldn't find it separately on the site so I believe Apple isn't advertizing it to sell more of full AppleCare. There might be the option to get it via telephone from the Edu-Applestore.
Take in consideration if you have an Applestore nearby or a Apple-Service-Provider…
