Educational discount for non-accredited schools.

I am setting up a personal tutoring creative school and would like to offer CC to my students. Whilst I will not be an 'accredited' educational establishment I would like to investigate if I could offer CC on the current educational discount. Does anybody know who I could contact? Thanks, in advance, for any help or advice.

Why is South African Educator Discount almost non-existent?

I want to upgrade to Adobe Creative Cloud from the Photoshop subscription of $9.99 p.m.
However, since I am in South Africa, paying $49.99 p.m. (excluding 14% value added tax) is not affordable. Since I work at a university, I hoped to make use of the educators discount. Many of my colleagues purchased CS5 & 6 this way and received around 50% discount. Having the ability to install the software on personal computers instead of work computers is a major advantage, because work pcs often don't have enough graphics processing power - that is why we purchase this software for ourselves instead of through our employer, even though we still use it for work. I also noted that the educators discount in the US and EU is 60% and in New Zealand it is 70%!
Full of hope, I contact Adobe Sales (after having a very strange conversation with a non-English speaking person on Adobe Chat) and a very polite British guy gives me the contact details for a local (South African) reseller, as apparently Adobe does not handle educator discounts for South Africans directly.
So guess how much of a discount I received from the reseller? A measly 19%. When I queried the amount quoted, the reseller told me that the price is provided by Adobe and they cannot change it.
I guess something is better than nothing, but this discount does not come close to placing this product in the affordable range.
My complaint is this: Why is the South African education discount so much worse than other countries? Please Adobe, I would just like a reasonable answer to this. If you tell me it is because of fraud or high taxes or whatever, I will be happy, but please at least provide South Africans with a reason for the differential treatment.

Hi I'm developing a site for a registered non-profit organization in Israel that promotes peaceful communications between Israelis and Palestinians and would like to use Dreamweaver cs5.
I would like to know if there are discounts for non-profit organizations? and if so what are they and how do I recieve them?

Educational Discounts for Software

I couldn't find anyplace else to post this, so hope this is ok. I want to buy some Adobe software - maybe Photoshop, Dreamweaver, etc. for my MacBook. I work in a school system and have gotten educational discounts from CDW-G (after they swallowed up MacWarhehouse), in the past. The savings for expensive programs are significant. I recently came across two other websites that sell such software to students, teachers, etc. at a discount. They are www.campustech.com, and Studica.com. Prices on all three are comparable, but I never heard of these two. Has anyone here ever ordered from them and can tell me if they are legit and reliable?

Educational discount for ipad 2

Hi, Does anyone know if you can use your educational discount when buying an ipad 2. You couldn't for the 1st generation although I used mine for lecturing.

If you're asking why there's no multipack pricing for the iPad 2 when there is for the iPad 1, it's almost certainly due to the general shortage of stock of the iPad 2 at this time. Otherwise, sorry, but I have no knowledge of why Apple's pricing decisions are made as they are. I can only guess, and pricing discussions really aren't appropriate for these forums which are intended for technical support issues, so we'll just have to leave it at that.

Hi, I am working for a non-profit organisation and we would love to have photoshop and illustrator, but can't afford the commercial products. Are we able to purchase the educational version?

If you are looking for one unit for yourself, not at this time. If you are looking for equipment for a school, school district, etc., talk to Apple sales about what kind of deal would they work for you.
Right now iPads are not on the Educational, Government, Government employee list.
