EE fined £1,000,000 - Will it happen again?

On Friday the 3rd of July EE were fined by the UK Ombudsman Ofcom £1000000 for poor customer service handling.
Will it happen again? Yes.... because EE has an inherent flaw in the way it deals with complaints and an attitude of resolving complaints by buying off customers to close the complaint. If it had good customer service in the first place and left little for customers to complain about, then they would have half the battle fought. Instead, they make things worse by the manner in which they deal with complaints. They don't deal with the complaint at source, but rather resolve the periferal issue of the unhappy customer with a cash offer. Thats why the same problem happens again and again.
If you want your say to have meaning, leave your complaint open and make sure you fill in the Ombudsmans brief complaints form. It only takes two minutes and they do listen. If they didn't they wouldn't have just fined EE a £1000000.
Ensure you stay cool, ask for a "Deadlock" letter if EE don't get back to you and make clear and detailed notes to the minute of when things happened.

    There is no way for anyone here to know if your replacement iPad is a refurbished unit.  Per Apple's replacement policy, replacements can be refurbished units.  If you feel the unit is not working correctly, take it back, let them check it out and if found defective, they will replace that unit.

    My iPhone 3gs is only about 2 weeks old and we encountered this problem where it keeps turning itself on and off. We restored the phone and it lasted for about a week before it started happening again. My concern is that even if i send my phone in to have it replaced that it will just happen again with my next phone. If it is going to keep happening id like to know so i can just get a different phone and save myself a lot of hassle and frustration.

    As far as I know, none of the users on this forum can see in to the future, so your question cannot be answered.

  • Forms Were Down For 24 Hours. Will This Happen Again?

    I find it ridiculously stupid that the actual forms that collect the data would shut down when Adobe Creative Cloud went down. We don't even know how many leads we lost and we were not once notified via e-mail that our forms were down...leaving us to find out ourselves and create a patch a few hours later.
    I get if the cloud went down that we wouldn't be able to login into the app...but having all of our actual forms go down without any warning or message is just poor service...and for 24 hours too! During the downtime we were looking at other form builders and they seem a lot more nimble then Adobe, as well as being updated more often. We will stick with Adobe because we have all of our info here, but if this happens again we are gone along with anything else we can switch away from Adobe. What idiot ties everything together so when one thing goes down all your other services are effected?

  • My iphone 5s just died managed to get it working but will it happen again?

    My iphone 5s was working fine went and plugged it in to my charger went out the room when i came back my phone was completely dead, it didnt respond to me pressing any of the buttons or plugging it in to my computer.
    After we looked online we found a fix of turning the silent button on and off twice then holding down the power and home button which at first didnt seem to have any effect but after a minute the iphone booted up.
    I would like to know if this is going to continously happen or is this just a hiccup?

    When considering what may have caused this catestrophic occurence one may be quick to be looking at the apps currently running on your device. The first thing I would recommend you do would be to call apple support at 1800MYAPPLE and ask a IOS advisor to do a diagnostic on your iphone. The diagnostic will give you needed feedback regarding possible application corruption. IF there is corruption you would then need to know which applications were causing the corruption and then it would be a simple matter of deleting these apps - redownloading the same apps and voila back on your way!
    In response to your refrenced question. NO this is not expected behavior of your device. The device IS VERY expensive and with a careful bit of maintenance(app corruption) and  a 'lttle bit' of luck you should be fine with your dveice in the futuer.

    If you are within 14 days of purchase you can still return the iPhone and get the phone that suits your needs, however, I think you will find that no matter which phone you get the content provider will want to know how you are going to pay for future purchases. For Android phones it is Google, and they will certainly want to know.

    To import music into your iTunes library on the computer go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Add items to iTunes and follow the instructions
    Delete the "songs" that do not play in your iTunes library and reimport them.

    Several points here:
    1. Although there is some compatibility between Numbers and Excel files, I doubt very much that "the idea of Numbers is to make it like Excel." The two applications share some similarities, but also have several differences.
    2. Your Question is unanswerable in this forum. Apple does not generally reveal future development plans or schedules for its applications, and anyone with knowledge of those plans will be bound by a non-disclosure agreement.
    3. "You need to" implies a feature request. If you want to request that a feature be added to a future version of Numbers, that request is better made directly to Apple, via the Feedback channel, than here, where the readers and responders are all users of the software, not developers. From the application menu (the "Numbers" menu in Numbers), choose Provide Numbers Feedback, then make your request for a feature to be added to Numbers.
    Meantime, if you absolutely need the macros capabilities of MS Excel, try one of the Office clones—OpenOffice.org, LibreOffice, or NeoOffice, which may offer macro support, or use the Mac version of Excel itself.

    I don't think so. When you open iTunes, go to "Store" on the top and click "Authorize this Computer." Type in your email and pass, and click authorize. Then, when you connect you iPod for the first time, it should tell you "this iPod is synced with another computer, blah blah." It should give you the option to either "Erase and Sync," or "Transfer Purchases." Click "Transfer Purchases and your content should go into your new iTunes.
    If this doesn't work and you still have your old computer there's another thing you can do. I know this works on windows, but I'm not sure how to do it on a Mac, maybe someone can offer some help. Assuming you have Windows, go to Start>Music>iTunes Media and you should see Music, Apps, Movies, etc. This is all the stuff in your iTunes. If you have an external hard drive or your iTunes library is small in terms of file size, you can do this in one go. Transfer the content (as much as you can fit at one time) onto the external storage. Then, put that content on your new computer on the desktop or somewhere where you can find it again. Open iTunes, and folder by folder highlight everything in the folder and drag it into the iTunes library. It should say "importing (content)" or something and then it should be in your library. If you look in your Music folder again, there should now be another "iTunes" folder there with all of your content back in it.

    If it is doing it while your device is plugged in, it is because it is set to automatically sync. Please go to: Preferences>Devices, and select the option to "Prevent iPods, iPhones, and iPads from syncing automatically." Also, I hate to be "that guy", but you spelt extremely wrong. Just a pro tip.
