EEWB project

Hi,
We have added some custom fields in CRM for BP .
All the extensions are activated.
We have a custom field (Basicalll a check box) in the BP.
The table BUT000 is populated with the custom field for this.
There is a also a structure ZBSTC0000000000 with the field.
We transported this EEWB development to the QA system.
All the custom fields added to the BP have come properly except the one for the check box.
I checked the table BUT000 it has the custom field for the check box.
The structure ZBSTC0000000000 is also populated corectly.
Could any one pls let me know why this is not appearing in the BP transaction when all the table and structure fields are correct.

HI,
The person who creates a package is only able to create a EEWB project with that package. Using someone else's package is throwing error. Is this the standard behaviour of EEWB. Or is there a break through.

I created a package in the CRM 7 system. I am able to assign my projects in EEWB to the package I created. But when someone else tries to assign their project to the package I created it says "You are not authorised to make changes. Authorisation object".
And then if he makes some changes to the package , I mean he re-states the descripotion,then he is able to use the package, but then I am unable to make changes. This functionality looks weird. Can you suggest a work around??

EEWB project copied over development systems

Hi,
I wanted to change some EEWB enhancements that have been created in our system in the past. In EEWB I noticed that the task lists are empty in the projects. In the header information of each project the Enhancement definition is empty and I only see a couple of postprocessing steps below the header item in the tree.
I learned that these EEWB project were actually copied from one system to the other and the actual enhacement do work. However the projects don't seem to be complete. I did a bit of tracing and discovered that the table OXT_TASKLINK is actual empty.
Is there any way to restore these projects so that I can edit them again? The original development system was sadly removed already.
I did try:
- Generation -> Got error No tasks found for Extension Version 000001.
- Starting the wizard but it didn't give me any existing fields
Any ideas?

now say for e.g CR1 has all the work completed and developer released the Task ...further TR is released and dont worry if some TR is blank that will automatically get deleted.
but CR2 has still TR open and work is going on
so in this case only the TR which is released for CR1 will get imported to respective QA by the background job.
let me know if this resolves the problem

EEWB project change

Hello expert,
I am due to carry out some new requirement on an existing project in EEWB CRM,
Transaction is CRMD_ORDER, Business Object: Business Activity, Extention CUSTOM_FIELDS,
This already existing project is a simple addition of several custom fields which by now correctly show up on the related tabstrip.
I've been asked to add new fields, ( within same tabstrip), and chage the technicals of some existing others,
According the leads of previous threats I found the only way to aim this goes thorugh acting following steps:
Enterinig the actual Project on place,
Restart the Wizard,
Follow through by creating all fields required fresh new (also the ones that shouldn't be modify),
Complete the procedure,
is that right?
At this point next move should be delete something about older extention, or just keep the new one?
Beside, after this, is it necessary to pull up the postprocessing flow again in order to get changes and new extention visibile by the web?
At least I know changing fileds directly in Dictionary is not the way,
I realy wolud appreciate some confermation/advice about the proper path should be taken around this activty,

The error is coming because EEWB does changes in the ABAP dictionary objects. Now you are not able to delete the field properly thats why you are getting the error
Once you delete the field then only you can process.
check your customizing in transaction EEWC.
Look at note 649336 to set up the customizing.

How to delete a EEWB project that had been released by a previous transport

My company had created an extension to the CRMT_CUSTOMER_H_EXT using EEWB and transported to the production instance successfully and all the customer fields are working fine in production. Now my company wishes to remove this extension. Upon deleting the Project of this extension in EEWB the message 'Project xxxx has extensions and cannot be deleted'.
How can we remove this extension from our Solution Manager instance?

You need to create a new transport to make new changes as the old one has been released. Below are the steps.
1. Focus on your project
2. Click on the right button and choose transport from the context menu
3. Create a new transport to replace the released on.

How to delete the structure created from Tx: EEWB ?

Hi SAP Gurus
I have an issue at hand. I have added three components in the structure BUS000___I and the components are ZZ1, ZZ2, ZZ3, I was following the EEWB wizard and from there these three components were made, now I cannot delete these components directly from SE11. Because after adding these components the system is not allowing me to do so and is asking for the access code.
I am getting a syntax error in all the tx where Business Partner is used. No old versions for this structure was found in the system. The only structure that has come into this BP structure is ZBSTC0000000000 followed by three data elements of this structure.
I know the Project and the enhancement that was created and I have tried deleting the enhancement from EEWB but when i try deleting it, it always fall into an intermediate stage where it leaves some entries and due to these left over entries these errors are coming.
Another imp thing is that the structure that i have reported is a newly created one I cannot find this anywhere else. looks like this structure was created after executing the EEWB transaction only.
Now when I try activating the enhancement again the magic wand button used to activate an enhancement and the generate button is also inactive in EEWB and now it is not getting activated, even after rt click enhancement then clicking change or by clicking on the edit-change button on the top tool bar. Do you think if I create another enhancement this button might get activated?
Please let me know how do I delete these components.

Error during adding fields by EEWB

Dear Experts;
We are implementing SAP CRM 6.0, we need additional fields in Business Partner. We are tried to add them by using EEWB. However we got an error and are not able to generate new fields.
The error message is :
"Object R3TR TABU CRMC_BLUEPRNTC, which is not checked by the Transport Organizer, and object R3TR TABU CRMC_ACCESS, which is checked, cannot be edited in the same request."
Firstly we supposed that it is caused by locking of object in request. We released all requests, deleted all projects created via EEWB and create new fresh EEWB project with new workbench and customizing request. However we are still facing the same problem.
when we use package $TMP we don't face this problem (as it doesn't use request) but when we use our own package we got this error.
What might be the reason? How can we solve this? Any idea will be appreciated.

Hi Mehmet,
never seen this error occur.
I suppose you have created a new transport request as well? During my encounters with the EEWB I found it useful to hava a clean request for both customizing and workbench with two undefined tasks in them. One is for development, the other for repair. Maybe you can try this, if you have not done already?
Did you have a look at the mentioned tables? Probably there is something wrong with them?

EEWB for Service Contract

Hi All,
I added a new field to the CUSTOMER_H structure, thru EEWB to service contract object.
But it is not displaying the customer fields tab in the service contract?
When i look at EEWB project ZSERVCONTRACT, after the generation it is displaying a warning message, 'More than 10 extensions cannot be displayed in the SAP GUI.
Can some let me know what could be the issue? Is there a way to getting around this and bring up the customer fields tab at header level?.

Assign business transaction and CUSTOMER_H and with ADD_NEW_FIELDS as the type of ehancement.

EEWB field length modification error

Hi,
In our system, an EEWB project is already exist for custom fields in Quotation's product item (CI_EEW_CUSTOMER_I).
I want to change the field length of those custom fields. Thus, I run the wizard of this EEWB project and change some of the field length.
After the wizard and some of the tables are converted, following error occurs:
Task CRM_BTX_ADD_NEW_FIELDS CD3100
deleting of existing BAdI Implementation "ZEEW_CUSTOMER_I01" failed
Moreover, the EEWB icon is changed to red & broken.
How can I continue and make it back to normal?

EEWB error message BADI implementation

Hi,
I am getting the following error message when I run the wizard in EEWB to create new fields:
Task CRM_BTX_ADD_NEW_FIELDS
creating of BADI Implementation "ZCRM_RF_0701" failed
I am trying to add new fields in Activities.
This system is a copy of production client. There is no EEWB project or extension created in this system. We are using this system as a sandbox. We wanted to create some new fields here in this system by crating a new project and extension but when I run the wizard to create the new fields it is giving me the above error message at the time of Generation
Anyone has any idea how to resolve this ?

EEWB Structure changed

Hello Friends,
I have Extended BP with EEWB. Every thing goes well. After some days i got requirement to extend some more fields. Now i have done that also. This is also successful. But my problem is, previously created fields are not showing in BP custom tab. even it wont be a problem for me as the data available in table. but my exact problem is , secondly created fields are moved up in EEWB structure. Due to this all my programs are going wrong.
I faced this problem exatly in ECC side. there in BDOC data will be in RAW format. And i created same structure as of CRM, to map BDOC data to ECC data. Now since fields are exchanged their positions, my data is mistching.
Pleas let me know is there any way i can re arrange EEWB structures.

Hi,
One option is to delete the second set of fields and recreate them in the same EEWB project used for the first field. But be cautious when deleting the EEWB fields.

EEWB: BDT Compare

Hi all,
we have done some changes to BUPA with EEWB. We have used EEWB for this before, so now we are doing changes to existing EEWB projects.
When transporting to Q&A we get problems, some screens in BP (regarding other EEWB projects that has also been changed in parallell...) are not showing up properly, but the dictionary/program objects seems to be in place correctly.
We found program BDT_COMPARE where it seems that you can create a Customizing transport with settings that are missing in Q&A compared to DEV system. These entries seem like they could actually be good stuff.
Has anyone used this report before who can verify that this could be the solution? We don't want to transport if we mess things up even more..
Any answer most appreciated!

You can do this using BDT. Remove the Section from the Screen of Custom Tab and Attach this section to the Tab where you want . Its very simple.

EEWB customozing request

Hello all ,
We created EEWB project(activity enhanchment) with 2 request - customizing and workbench.Customising request is empty.
As a result of EEWB project new TAB page with additional fields created in Activity.Than we change Layout for those additional fields.
We transport all this to QAS. I can see EEWB structure in dictionary, and new tab page in activity - but this Tab page is empty - there are no fields on it.
Any ideas?

At first I also think that layout request is a problem, but this request transpored correctly.
Finally I solved the problem : I just miss definition in trn EEWC.

Through eewb I created the project and when I am trying to create the extesion with the below values
Name : ZExamaple_lead
Description : additional fields
Business Object: Business_transaction
Extension Type : customer_h
and when I clicked on continue I am getting ERROR
'NO REQUEST WAS SENT'

You need to create first a transport request, using the context menu on your EEWB project, then the creation of the extension will work, since you mentioned to which transport request it had to be linked.

Undo EEWB changes

Hi there,
I'm currently playing around with the EEWB to get an idea about how it works. Now I'd like to undo some of the changes I made.
Is ther a proper way to do so, or do I have to delete just all generated coding that is listed in the log files of the transaction eewb?

If you haven't released the eewb projects you can modify the rpoject and remove the fields from there. With the next generation the fields should disappear. I say 'should' because the eewb does not do an excellent job in removing fields, and it could well be that you need to open an OSS message in order to get the system back to a consistent state after the deletion fo generated projects.
Deletion of the objects generated will also work, but this will delete only the extension, not the definition of the extension. So when generating the next time you will still refer to the old metainformation which will result in unwanted objects.
