How do I use and setup eFax on the HP Photosmart 7525? I don't see it.

Efax photosmart 7525. How is it done

We purchased a photosmart 7525 from HSN. We received it in January 2014 but was waiting for the ink to run out on our old hp printer. Well we started using the new 7525 in the middle of May 2014 . Now the story behind this printer was my wife saw an HP on HSN and the one feature we were looking for was E fax. So we purchase it only to get a notice from HSN that it was no longer available. So some time passes and the 7525 comes up for sale thinking that this was the same printer. But now we find out after the fact the this printer doesn't support E fax. My question is are there any free Efax services that will work with our printer. We only send 1 or 2 fax a month and would only need to send them.
Can any one help.

The eFax app is not supported by the Photosmart B210.
As you may find listed by the product spec, the specific model provide Print, copy, scan, Web and do not provide any fax capabilities:

My new hp photosmart 7525 won't print

my new hp photosmart 7525 won't print and says it is "offline". In addition, the tray app error keeps coming on. I uninstalled my old printer. I have Vista.

I would like to help you print to your 7525. Let's first address the tray app error, then we can focus on the printer offline message.
The tray app error seems to be stemming from the older software you have uninstalled, it appears something did not fully uninstall. Please complete the following steps.
Please note; I simply choose the printer I did for steps 3 because of the version of software, we will not be installing this printer, I only want to use it to perform a comprehensive uninstall.
Hold down the Windows Logo key () on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the run box, type %temp%
Delete all files and folders from the temp folder. Choose skip if any pop ups appear saying any of the files could not be deleted
Download the software and choose to save as, save to desktop > HP Photosmart C7280 All-in-One Printer
After the software downloads and extracts, open the temp folder again, use the instructions from step 1.
Look for, and open the folder starting with 7z (Example: 7zS2356)
Open folder Util
Open folder CCC
If you have an HP computer run the L3uninstall.exe. If you have anon-HP computer run the L4uninstall.exe
When the uninstall has completed restart the computer
Follow these steps to reset the registry settings and options for Windows Installer.
Hold down the Windows Logo key on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the run box
In the Open box, type msiexec /unregister, and then click OK.

In the Open box, type msiexec /regserver, and then click OK
*Note: there is a space between the c and the /

Run Disk cleanup from Accessories\ System Tool < How to Delete files using Disk Cleanup
Download and install the latest version of Adobe flash player http://www.adobe.com/support/flashplayer/downloads.html
Restart the computer
Download and run the HP Printer Install Wizard for Windows
The HP Printer Install Wizard for Window was created to help Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1 users download and install the latest and most appropriate HP software solution for their HP Printer.
Step 14 will help you to re-install the 7525. Once the 7525 is re-installed, please try printing. If you get the printer offline message, use the following document; 'Printer is offline' Message Displays on the Computer and the HP Printer Will Not Print.
Please let me know if this resolves the issues, and or is you require further assistance. If you still get the tray app error, please let me know which printer you had before that you recently uninstalled. Thanks.

Hi,
That is more likely a Schedule Delivery Prinable you wrogly signed up from teh Apps menu.
A printable should have its name listed on the bottom of the printed page.
Expend the Managing Scheduled Delivery Printables > Managing Scheduled Delivery Printables section below and follow the steps for your region to disable its printing and remove the printable:

Is the eFax app supported in Australia?

Hi! I purchased a Photosmart 7510 but I can no locate the eFax app on the home screen of the printer. I have seen conflicting and confused posts about whether or not eFax app is available in Australia. Please help!! using eFax was one of the reasons why I purchased the 7510. Thanks!

Hi,
No, unfortunately we don't have this in Australia for the Photosmart 7510. You can look clsoely to the printer Control panel, no Fax option at all and the software suite also has no option for this. Last weekend, I planned to check this out but one of our friends on this forum discovered: NO eFAX in Australia (I should say free eFax) therefore I watched the footy Grand Final instead.

The only models currently support the eFax App are HP Photosmart C510, HP ENVY 110 and HP Photosmart 7510.
Additionally, the eFax App was never provided for any All-in-One containing a physical analog fax card.

Can't find the eFax app on my HP Deskjet Pro 8500A. At the eFax Webside only the eFax Plus and Pro services are available.
Does the free eFax service not exisst anymore?

I have a Photosmart Premium and wish to use Efax. The eprintCenter advice on sending eFaxes says to click on the print app on the home screen, but there isn't a print app.

At this time your printer does not support eFax. Here are the printers that currently support eFax:
-Photosmart eStation C510a
-Envy 110 e-All-in-One
-Photosmart 7510 e-All-in-One
*eFax app is not provided for any All-in-One printer containing a physical analog fax card

I'm unable to send fax's from this laptop to the fax at this time. Would like to know if malware or anti virus software could be the problem? It had been working in the past! I have malwarebites & panda cloud antivirus installed on this machine!

Are you trying to send a fax to the Photosmart 7525 using the PS 7525 software on the PC?
If not, what program/app is it you're using to fax from your PC to your printer?
Are you able to use the fax on the machine (PS 7525) to send/receive to other fax machines?
Any other details you can provide would be great, and then I will do my best to offer some suggestions!

Eprint from Galaxy s5 phone to HP Photosmart 7525

I have an eprint HP Photosmart 7525 printer and I am having difficulty printing letter size (8" x 10") email documents from my Samsung Galaxy s5 phone. The printer appears on my phone. The wireless setting on the printer is on and I have the hp eprint app installed on my phone. The printer is set to print on letter size paper and shows me this when I select print from my phone. The document prints in a gray shadow horizonatally centered and approximately 3" wide and as many inches long as necessary to completely print the words in the document. It does not print the header information (FROM, DATE, TO, SUBJECT, etc.) nor does it print across the full 8.5" page. Has anybody got a fix for this?

Will/is the Office Pro 8500A line going get the efax app in the future?

I have the OfficeJet Pro 8500A Plus and would like to know if this product line would be getting the efax app in the future? The best I can tell it is limited to just the PhotoSmart C510.

Currently, it's only the PS C510a series that has this feature. There might be an update for some regions about the addition of the efax service on eAIO printers. Just check product updates from time to time. See related post.

If you're unable to print

Make sure your printer has paper, and enough ink or toner installed.

I recently bought an iMac (OSX 10.9.4) and an HP Photosmart 7525 e-all-in-one printer. The print and fax work fine, but I cannot scan to my computer.
I've installed the HP software from the HP download site, but I still get a message on the printer that says "No computer is connected" How do I fix this??

Hi @mfspectrum,
I see by your post that you are unable to scan. I can help you with this.
Enable the scan to computer settings. A 'No Computer Detected' or 'Connection Error' Message Displays during Scanning. Go to Solution two: Check the Scan to Computer setting, Step one: Check the Scan to Computer setting.
Check the driver name that is installed for the printer. The Airprint driver might be installed instead of the Printer's driver. (usually defaults to Airprint)
Click the Apple menu and then click System Preferences. Click Printers & Scanners, highlight the printer name on the left side and on the right side of the screen should show the name.
If the printer name shows Airprint then that is the Apple drivers, delete it and add the printer name back in from the list. Click the - sign to delete the driver and then click the + sign to add the driver, might have to click the drop down to select the printer's name to add it in.
Try and scan again.
