Can you let me know what are the effects of EHP4 on MCOD installation
I have two SAP instances installed on 1 sql server,how does it effect the second instance when I perform the EHP4 upgrade of one instance

Hi Rohit,
As Juan stated installing EHP on one of the system will not effect other MCOD system..
But only thing you need to take care is while installing EHP on one of MCOD system then archiving should be on as other system will be in operation...

Actually the problem is not ORA-1403, but the <i>ORA-00406: COMPATIBLE parameter needs to be 9.2.0.0.0 or greater</i>.
Please update the COMPATIBLE parameter in your init<SID>.ora file and restart the database. This should fix your problem.

We are currently running 2 SAP ECC 6.0 on one database (MCOD), is it possible to uninstall one of the instances without affecting the other?
can we remove only one schema in the DB?

MCOD Installation on ONE Computer

is it possible to do a MCOD installation on one computer?
actually i encountered serious problems installing the SRM Server in a data base of an existing CRM System.
one problem i see is, that the user environment variables of the administrator are overwritten.
i think this was the reason why i run into errors while installing the database data base load.
could i perform an MCOD installation employing several ADMINISTRATOR accounts for each sap system to avoid this problem?
or what is the real problem with MCOD installations on one computer? has anyone else already tried it?

Check the note 388866, it gives directions to where you find more resources on MCOD.. i believe it gives the email id of the SAP chap who deals with MCOD.

Mcod installation pre-requisites

Dear All,
I am about to install MCOD system. ECC6.0 is already installed on the host,
Now It is needed to install CRM 5.0 on to the same host and same database oracle.
Could you please let me know what are the pre-requisites we take before i start the
CRM installation.
- Do we have any effect on to the existing env. variables because i have to start
installation from the same host -root user
- Do we need to take any special actions for the listener configuration?
- I got through from Inst guide , we need to increase the free space in SYSTEM tablespace
if you can provide any other pre-requisites, It will be greatful for me.

Are you really SURE you want to do that? MCOD has more drawbacks that pro's.
- Database maintenance requires both systems (ERP + CRM) to be shut down
- system copies using backup/restore are always done for both systems (can be tricky)
- in case of a logical error you have to reset both systems (imagine that in your ERP!)
I would install a separate Oracle software and use a second ORACLE_HOME to separate both instances from each other. The only cost of that is local harddisk space for the Oracle software.

MCOD installation with differents hosts

Hi.
I have a trouble with an (MCOD) Java installation of a BI system.
I already installed the ABAP stack of BI on a server (called myhost1) with the SID RW1 and the ABAP schema called SAPSR3.
I try to install, on a 2nd server called myhost2, the Java stack of a BI system (AS JAVA and BI JAVA) in MCOD. The SID of my JAVA stack is RJ1. But, during the install. process, when I have to fill the DBSID (i.e. RW1), the field Database host already contains myhost2 and I can't change the value to myhost1.
So my question is : is it possible to install a Java stack in MCOD on a different physical server than the one where the ABAP instance is installed ?

EHP4 Support Packages installation question

I am running EHP4 SP03 and want to upgrade to Stack 04. Do I still use EHPI? The documentation states to use this tool but I thought EHPI was used for upgrade of EHP4....
What is the difference then and what happens during a repository swtich which seems like overkill over something as simple as a SPAM transaction?
All documentation point to using EHPI ut also states you can use SPAM/SAINT? So what gives?

Hi,
In order to upgrade from EHP4 SP03 to EHP4 SP04, you can use SPAM to upgrade. You need not to use EHPI installer again.
Only thing you need is stack xml file which you can again download from MOPZ in solman.

After Effects and Premier Pro cs4 installation

I have a computer that runs on a 32 bit system. As such, I cannot use the cs6 versions of After Effects and Premier Pro cc. I have succesfully downloaded the cs4 versions and have the files on my computer. I unzipped the files, and tried to run the application. I am asked to extract the files (again) in order to run them. I do so, but after extraction is completed, the diolouge box closes, and nothing happens.
I have tried this several times, I have completly shut down my computer, but this loop keeps occuring.

After the extraction is through, the setup may need to be initiated manually with the setup.exe/ installer files in the folder that was extracted....

MCOD installation fails during Database instance phase "CREATE TABLESPACES

We are installing solution manager 3.2 using MCOD option on windows 2003/oracle. Installation fails during Database instance phase "CREATE TABLESPACES" step without any error. Interesting thing is no error message in installation log or oracle alert log.
Installation Details
First instance: SMD / Instance number: 00 / schema: sapsmd / Database SID: SMD
Second instance; SMQ / Instance number: 01 / schema: sapsmq / Database SID: SMD
Did any one come across this issue? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Did u checked for the Space utilization on the drives.Normally when installation fails there will be some intimation of the cause in the log files written in the sapinst directory.IF it is failing in the tablespace creation phase the that means that the data files cannot be created.
It depends on the database you use: Data files(Oracle), Containers (DB2).
Do check in the sapdata directories whethere the data file have created.
If its not giving you any error then the installation might got stuck bcoz of some memory problems during the "create tablespace phase"

I have Installed DBCI with HACMP environment with Oracle 11G and AIX6.1 Production system
Now I am trying to install Dialog instance D02 but i am facing problem in last Phase 'shutdown and start Dialog instance'
the error as follows

After Effects CC (not 2014) re-installation.

I uninstalled the trial because a new version came out that I wanted to try. Now I cannot reinstall and the 2014 version doesn't work.

Run the cleaner tool and try again.

but which command i executed after this.

After Effects Warnung "plug-in" nach Installation

Hallo,
habe mir soeben die Testversion von Afer Effects CC installiert. (MAC)
Beim versuchen After Effects zu öffnen kommt eine Fehlermeldung mit flgendem:
"Warnung: Der plug-in "3D-Kamera..." ist mehrmals vorhanden ..."
Diese Warnung wird alle plugins welche sich in den plugin ordner befindet angezeigt. (Gefühlte 100mal)
Wenn man alle Meldungen auf OK an klickt, dann geht fängt es yieder bei der ersten plug-in Fehlermeldung an.
Kann das Programm also nicht öffnen und schliessen auch nur über ALT+CMD+ESC.
Der Support Chat von Adobe konnte mir auch nicht weiterhelfen.
Tip war eine Neuinstallation vorzunehmen welches das Problem leider nicht gelöst hat.
Deshalb liegt meine Hoffnung jetzt in diesem Forum.
Würde mir gerne ein Abbo nehmen aber wen die Testversion schon nicht klappt habe ich bedenken.
Hoffe mir kann jemand helfen.

Nebenbei: Wie kann man eigentlich eine Neuinstallation von einzelnen programmen vornehmen ohne die gesamte cloud zu reinstallieren.

Library:Application Support:Adobe und so weiter und den AE Programmordner selber leerfegen, dann Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool laufen lassen und neu installieren.
