EHD/Libraries/locating/updating/etc...

I have an EHD that at first was in the libraries, and I could work in it. Now the program doesn't show it or let me locate/update it. I tried another hard drive and it works fine. It is just the first hard drive with the projects that i need to edit. As i am on a deadline, i don't want to have to start over from scratch if it can be avoided.
Help please. Thank you in advance
~De'La.

Post a screen shot of the root level of the hard drive.

Does anyone know how to update OSX Mountain Lion 10.8.1. to 10.8.2. on a late 2012 Mac mini. All I get are 'not compatible' messages even using supplementary updates etc?

It appears that many of the problems with the HDMI are the "monitors" that are being used. Samsung and Vizeo both DO NOT support a computer input on HDMI only VGA. There probably are others, manuals must be read to confirm compatability.
I strongly believe that the reason the 10.8.2 update was pulled is due to the fact (it happened to me) that the new Disk Utility creates a Fusion drive if aftermarket SSDs are added to the system. I think Apple wants this propriatary Fusion Drive to be something you buy from them not a "homebrew" for lots less money.

    Not yet,
i found another Metalink note *Can the event 'oracle.apps.ar.hz.Location.update' be disabled? [ID 315800.1]*.
According to this note, i have disabled this following two subscriptions
    WSH_MAP_LOCATION_REGION_PKG.Rule_Location
hz_crmhk_pkg.update_location_prenow waiting for the Client mail, if the wf is not triggred then no problem otherwise i have log an SR as u said.
more over i have a doubt in that above mentioned metalink note, can u explain me what is TCA information
These functions would not get executed via workflow but the application that uses these will have a way to handle this in the application. Please check with those groups on what >to run in those applications to handle the workflow functions.
It is fine to disable the event or if you do not want to run any of the TCA workflow events then just set the HZ: Execute API Callouts profile option to NO and workflow events will >not be used for when updating TCA information.Regards

  • Firewire module install with rpm not updating "/etc/grub.conf" file

    Hello,
Thank you in advance! I am trying to setup Oracle10g RAC on RedHat Enterprise Linux ES 4.0. As a part of that process, I am trying to install the shared disk (Firewire) module on the node using 'rpm' as follows:
    rpm -ivh --force oracle-firewire-modules-2.6.9.EL-1286-1.i686.rpm
It is getting installed perfectly. However, I am expecting with "-ivc" option, it is supposed to update "/etc/grub.conf" file. But it is not updating this file. Therefore reboot could NOT load this module and can not proceed further. Any help on this is really appreciated!
    Thanks again,
    Kishore

karol's link did the deed!  I had gone to the page that shows the most up to date mirrors and used that for the install. But when I used the link that karol gave it not only gave me the same URL as I used earlier to install, it gave me some additional suffixes that didn't appear on the page that provided the updated links. When I added /$repo/os/$arch, pacman took off and started burning rubber. So many thanks!
Now I can go ahead and install reflector, which is the first thing I try and do when I get an Arch install up and running. Thanks again.
After seeing karol's script in post#4, I see that the /$repo/os//4arch was showing up there also. I didn't see anything like that when I copied the link to install.

  • Any suggestions on how you can transfer photos (including location description etc) from iphoto's on a Mac air book to a Mac?

Any suggestions on how you can transfer photos (including location description etc) from iphoto's on a Mac air book to a Mac? Whenever I export the pictures the additional information is lost

    Two ways:
    1. File -> Export. Set the Kind to Jpeg or Tiff
Check the boxes at 'Location Information' and 'Titles and Keyword'
The information is written to the iptc and Exif metadata on the file.
    2. Use iPhoto Library Manager This will get all of the information plus faces and edit history

  • Can't connect to yahoo messenger, iTunes, anti-virus updates, etc..

I have a wireless router and ever since I started using it I can't connect to yahoo messenger, iTunes, anti-virus updates, etc.. but the rest of the internet works fine. I've checked firewalls and everything seems fine.  I've searched on here and have seen some similar posts but no solutions.  Do I just have to give those things up to have a wireless connection??

I think that the router is blockingthe messaenger or other services to open..... try upgrading the firmware ... once upgraded ...reset & reconfigure the router ....

  • Background location updates with the help of background task in ios

    Hi,
we are building a navigation application, that updates location in background. The application receives location updates while in background by using CLLocation manager delegates. In order to reduce battery usage we take updates only on regular intervals say 5 min. For this are using NSTimer to fire an event that starts location update, fetch location and stop location updates for next 5 mins. This approach works well in foreground. But once the application is background this fails. When application fetches the location and stops the location updates for first time, the app gets suspended and never fires event to start location manger for subsequent times.
The solution we found, for keeping the timer alive is to track it using a background task. This way even if the location updates are stopped for a particular interval the application stays live to keep the timer running. My question is, is this method, a good approach for timed location updates in background states. Is this approach in any way prone to app store rejection as the 'background tasks' are designed to serve other specific scenarios.
Please share your thoughts on these

    Bill & stephen,
Not much help I'm afraid, but I just saw your post & wanted to let you know that I have the same problem, but for me it manifests itself in many apps. The only thing I've noticed is that it only seems to happen when I first start typing after not using the keyboard for a while (I'm not sure how long a while is, but maybe 30 seconds or so). Then I'll type & the first few letters will be fine, and then one letter double-types, and then it's fine again until I stop using it for whatever the threshold amount of time is. I'm guessing that it has something to do with the iPad's battery management & that it's shutting off the connection to the keyboard or something & once it picks it back up, then it double-types that letter.
At least in Pages, it isn't as big of a deal because I know it's coming, I can correct it & then type for a long time. In Numbers, my keyboard use is much less consistent, so I need to be more cognisant of it.

  • New Change – location updates are now on me

I’ve had a Verizon broadband card for well over a year, but just recently Verizon changed its policy on downloading location updates.  Apparently now the data downloaded to make location updates is charged against my monthly data allowance.  Location updates are now only possible after one is connected and their data meter per se is running. Did someone think folks wouldn’t notice? Why should I now have to pay for continual location updates so that maintenance software can be distributed? I’m paying for that volume of data for personal usage.  This abrupt policy shift doesn’t speak well for company integrity.

This is not a change, at least for the MiFi. In the 20 months I've been using it I've always had to pay for location updates.

Don't bother trying to get Airplay to work even if you have all the latest updates etc..if your computer is a MacBook Pro 2008 or earlier..The Apple staff have decided they are too old and not worth supporting...

AirPlay Mirroring requires a second-generation Apple TV or later, OS X 10.8 or better and is supported on the following Mac models: iMac (Mid 2011 or newer), Mac mini (Mid 2011 or newer), MacBook Air (Mid 2011 or newer), and MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer). It also requires the computer to be using wi-fi.
Patrick is either mistaken or describing basic airplay and not mirroring.

  • I can't upgrade my Aperture libraries since update to 3.3 (3.3.1)

Since I update my Aperture to the 3.3 version (included the latest update which is 3.3.1 I think) I'm unable to upgrade my libraries, which are located on 2 external HDs, via USB. My macbook has only 11.68 GB of free space, and one of the libraries is about 36 GB.
Everytime I try to upgrade any of the libraries by the time the progress bar is up to 60% a window appears with the next message: The library “Aperture Library” is open in (null).
I have tried everything I read on the discussions about upgrade to 3.3, but nothing works!
    - Repair Permissions. Did it many many times.
    - Repair Database. Did it, but tried more than one time and sometimes the same error appears while trying to do this repair.
    - Rebuild Database. Never had the chance to do this because always send my first to upgrade the library and then the error appear again.x`
Please, somebody help me. What can I do? Should I wait until apple update to 3.3.2?
I have weeks trying to solve this issue.

Did you look at the thread that tdoyle pointed to? And did it help?
If you ctrl-click your Aperture Library, then select "Show Package Contents" you will see folders like this inside the package:
Open the folder "Database" inside this package, then the folder "apdb". There should be a file called lockfile.pid. This file contains the process id of the program currently using this Aperture Library. Delete this file and then Aperture should be able to use the library again.
