EHP1/EHP2 on existing BI7

Hi,
Our is BI7 with support pack 22. Now interested to install EHP1 on our system and i heard no additional licence fees required for installation of EHP1/EHP2. Is EHP2 is available for customers? If yes, is it mandatory first install EHP1 and then EHP2?
Is updation of EHP1 or EHP2 requires, how much system down time?
Pls share link/path in SMP for installation of EHP1/EHP2.

No, you dont need to.
The functionality delivered in enhancement packages is cumulative. Each enhancement package includes the entire functionality and technology enhancements of all previous packages while delivering the new enhancements for which the package
was created. Implementing support for business scenarios that run across multiple software solutions may require you to apply enhancement packages for more than one of those solutions. EHP2 implementation on BI7

Hello all,
We are going to upgrade our BI 7 system to BI 7.02 i.e EHP2. Can you please let me know what steps need to be taken to avoid any issues with the current processes, objects, data flows , extractions etc. What are the preupgrade and post upgrade steps from BW perspective and what kind of testing needs to be done. Also , we are still on BW 3.5 for the front end. EP is 7.0. So do we need to migrate the queries and web templates in portal i.e does going for 7.02 support the queries in 3.5 version. Please let me know your valuable suggestions and thoughts.

Upgrade Enterprise Portal from EHP1 SP5 to EHP2 SP7

How do we upgrade from EHP1 SP5 to EHP2 SP7 ?
Can we do that directly from JSPM or i should go with ehpi ?
Just download all the files of EHP2 SP7 to EPS/in directlry and start JSPM ?
or
Upgrade EHP1 to SP5 then run PREPARE tasks from the DVD's then apply the SP's.

I've upgraded Standalone JAVA stack from EHP1 -> EHP2 and basically, what EHPI did was just call up JSPM and perform the upgrade. Therefore, is feasible to upgrade standalone JAVA system via JSPM, of cos generate XML with MOPZ.

8. Question: Can I use JSPM for applying EHPs on JAVA only systems?
Answer:
Yes. On Java standalone systems it makes more sense using JSPM as a standalone tool using 'support package stack' option instead of running EHPI. Whereas on dual stack (ABAP + Java systems) you have to use EHPI with the exception of Solution Manager systems (see SAP note 1245473 for SolMan EHP installations).

How to include ehp4 into ecc60 upgrade

Hi ,
I have a question about EHP4 and upgrade.
I have SAP R/3 4.7 win/sql 64bit and i want to include EHP4 into the upgrade.
I have downloaded EHP4 stack from MOPZ .
Is during the prepare that sap ask me to include EHP4 : so if i answer yes what will appen ? prepare search for the xml file and bind the EHP4 in the same way of the sap pathc (BINDPATH)?
Is r3up that automatically include EHP4 into the upgrade during downtime or ,at the finish of r3p, i have to run the
ehpi installer and do SPDD and SPAU more than one time ?

Hi,
You can do the upgrade untill ECC 6.0 EHP4 in one step, just download the files or put an order with SAP so they can send you the media. There is a set for upgrade specifically for this. If you wanted to upgrade to ECC 6.0 EHP1, EHP2 or EHP3 then you need to do it in two steps but in your scenario only one step is necesary.
By the way now you will use SAPup, not R3up like before

Not showing Texhnical Usage in MOPZ

Dear Guru's,
I am going to install NW 2004s EHp1 in my existing PI 7.0 system.
It is not showing Texhnical Usage while i created maintance transaction in MOPZ.
Whereas it is showing for my ERP systems(ECC 6.0).
Please let me know,why it is not showing "Technical Usage" in Soultion Manager 7.0 EHp1.
Please suggest how i can procesed.

Data migration procedure for upgrade

I am working in upgrading 3.0B to BI7.0. The BI7.0 Production is already stabilized and already in use.
My query is, to the existing BI7, I need to push data from 3.0B.

Export data from 3.0B to flat file (through open hub) and then load it to BI 7.0.
Basically upgrade supposed to be system copy of 3.0B to new box (BI 7.0 box and then upgrade) .

Webservice Header for UsernameToke - in CE 7.1 SP11

Hi All,
I am consuming 3rd party secure webservices in CE 7.1 SP11 using EJB DC.
Web service requires:
1. Client certificate for HTTP Authentication and
2. Username token for message authentication
I have configured the certificate, created Destination and I am able to ping successfully.
I have deployed the proxy & configured the Logical port where in security, I can have option to select either HTTP or Message Authentication. So I have selected it as HTTP Authentication with x.509 client certificate.
Whenever I try to execute the web service, I am getting exeption as:
javax.xml.ws.soap.SOAPFaultException: com.ibm.wsspi.wssecurity.SoapSecurityException: WSEC5509E: A security token whose type is [http://docs.oasis-open.org/wss/2004/01/oasis-200401-wss-username-token-profile-1.0#UsernameToken]       is required

I want to include UsernameToken inside wsse:Security tag.
I have tried based on SAP recomendation using SOAPHeaderInterface (headerInterface.setOutputHeader(null,myHeader))
But the UsernameToken tag is getting added inside Header tag (same level as Security tag) and NOT inside Security tag.
However, using Handler, I am able to construct the proper request, but it is failing to take the client certificate while executing.
Please suggest.

As far as I know, this functionality has first been introduced with NW 7.1 EhP1.
There exists a new UI element named "WindowViewElement" where you can assign an "onClose" action. This element is automatically created as the root of an implicit view that is part of a window controller.

EIC Employee Interaction Center Implementation

Hello
We want to implement EIC. However, I do not have any resource to start with. It is the first time I have come across EIC.
The EIC component is installed with ECC 6.0. We currently do not have Solution Manager.
Can someone assist on how and where a newbee should start for EIC implementation?

This question was for Paul so I will let him respond but there are multiple cookbooks as I have been involved in ramp up projects for EHP1, EHP2 and EHP4 (all of which have new EIC functionality) but they are copyrighted and property of SAP and it is my understanding that they cannot be shared. 6) What kind of basis support is needed for setting up EIC ?
Basis support is needed in a part time role for an EIC project to set up environments, copy baseline config from client 000, activate services, apply OSS notes, web dispatcher, RFC destination configuration, enhancement packages, implement business packages, portal definition etc. Sorry about the formatting....not sure it is showing up this way.

Change of Interaction Center WebClient Inbox search

Our requirement is to change the inbox search of Interaction Center WebClient. Here we need to add one more field called Schema Version Management. ERP 6.0 enhancement packages

I think I'm in the right forum here. It's the one that seems the most relevant.
We've got an ERP 6.0 system with support package stack 14. Stack 17 is going on as we speak - that's not an issue.
Over the next couple of weeks we've got to move to EHP4. I'm fully aware that this involves installing NetWeaver 7.0 EHP1. However I was also under the impression that to install EHP4 I'd have to first install EHP1, EHP2 and EHP3. I've searched high and low but I can't for the life of me find ERP 6.0 EHP1 for download in any guise whatsoever.
Am I just barking up the wrong tree here and going off some old documentation?
If you want any more information please feel free to ask - hopefully I've given enough information already though.
Anyone who attempts to remind me to give out points for helpful answers will not be getting any points :-P

Hi Rob,
EHP4 is cumulative EHP, which means that you do not need to install any previous EHPs before applying this. Also, EHP4 onwards is applied using SAP EHPI installer tool and not the regular SAINT transaction(as was the case for EHP1,2,3).
