EHP1 in IDES BI7.0

Hi,
We have BI 7.0 IDES version installed in windows server, oracle as database.Patch level of SAP_ABA & SAP_BASIS is 19.
Path : Installations and Upgrades - Entry by Application Group" SAP Application Components" IDES SOLUTIONS" IDES SEM-BW 6.0/7.00
Currently we have have updated our solution Manager 7.0 to Solution Manager 7.01 through EHP1 installation.
Can we use the same EHP1 installation files for BI 7.0 to update it to BI 7.01?
Please suggest.
if no, please let us know the path from where we can download the same.

Please note that according to sap note 799639 you can only implement enhancement packages if you have a valid license for this purpose.
If you have one why don't you use your solution manager to calculate a valid support package queue which can then be implemented in your IDES system? This would be the best way to do it in my opinion.

  • RFC connection error between Netweaver 7 EHP1 and Ides ECC6

    Hi Friends,
    I try to create  source system  in BI from Netwever EHP1 to IDES ECC6 EHP3.
    During the creation I get a connection error, says. check connction parameter.
    I checked the parameter, everything is fine. Server, System and number.
    When I went to the SM59 and created a connction.
    I.E. with the same parameter like system = 06 and server = compi9 gave client 800 etc.
    The Host name is resolved to 192.168.2.111 wich is OK.
    But when I run the connection test it shows me  "ERROR: partner '80.156.86.78:sapgw06' not reached"
    I have no idea where this IP '80.156.86.78" is comming from.
    No Problem with the opposite way, from Ides to NW and login to the System is OK too.
    Can anybody help me with this problem.

    What is the next screen that comes up when you click on remote logon.
    If no screen comes up then:
    Check the user type of the user id used for this RFC.
    It should be either dialog or service user for able to remote login.
    If it open a new window and asks for password, then its excatly password issue.
    Also make sure that the password is in numeric and correct.
    Also make sure that the current user check box is unchecked.
    Even if it dosent work, delete the connection and create again.

    This is a known problem with SQL Server 2000, see
    Note 1180553 - Syntax error 170 during index creation on SQL 2000
    I highly suggest upgrading to SQL Server 2005 or 2008.

      i had a problem with RFC Connecton,when am trying to activate the T90CLNT090 datasource in BI,which is not active state to replicate the datasource it says my RFC connection was wrong.i tried to activate it.i donno how to check thaose connections in SM59 T-code.please help me out in activating this datasource.am using IDES BI7 and ECC 4.7 R/3.i want to connce these two in my system.

    Hello,
    From RSA1 goto source system. Here select your source system and right click on it and select check source system.
    It will show up the errors it has with the system. Get in touch with ur BASIS guys if any errors found.

    I have re-ran the managed system wizard and it shows all green status as :

    I tried checking the SAPNote 1413583, but it is showing now as "The requested SAP Note is
    either in reworking or is released internally only" - probably some version update.
    I happen to get rid of this issue by manually adding the Wily parameters as mentioned below, and could able to see the ners35-WPP(enterprise Portal -CI Instance) in the list and able to setup introscope for the same successfully. But, the Issue is with the data. We are not able to see the monitoring data for all the areas in the Wily introscope monitoring for the WPP-ners35 CI instance, under http://<host>:8081/webview.  But, we could see for DI instance of WPP-nert90 in areas of Wily Introscope Monitoring. So, question still remains...

    I do not see most of info objects like 0COMP_CODE, 0BUS_AREA, 0RESP_PERS etc. and lot of objects missing in Business Content too.

    Thanks for the info. I am little confused. I thought i had full BW in my ECC6. What is the difference between ECC6.0 with BW and ECC6.0 with BW/BI7.0? BI7.0 has all business contents in it?
    The IDES software has BW/BI 7.0 in it. That is what the person whi gave me told me. How can i verify that?
    I have some knowledge of BW and i am trying to learn this new BW 7.0 on my own. Since it does not have BI content how can i proceed to learn on my own.

    Our is BI7 with support pack 22. Now interested to install EHP1 on our system and i heard no additional licence fees required for installation of EHP1/EHP2.   Is EHP2 is available for customers? If yes, is it mandatory first install EHP1 and then EHP2?
    Is updation of EHP1 or EHP2 requires, how much system down time?
    Pls share link/path in SMP for installation of EHP1/EHP2.

  • Which IDES to install for ECC+BI7.0+IP functionality

    Hi there. I want to have an IDES system that'd have ECC and BI at the same server. I want to be able to use the ECC as the source system for the later extraction to BI. Also and it's very important I want to have the IP (Integrated planning functionality).
    As I've read now it's impossible to install ABAP AS+JAVA AS at the same instance and I think that JAVA AS is necessary for the IP functionality. In some SAP note I read that I can install ERP ECC 6.0 with EHP4 with ABAP AS and later add JAVA Engine, but it says also that JAVA AS doesn't have any IDES example companies as ABAP AS has.
    So basically, my question is, what version or type of IDES do I have to install in order to have in the same server ECC+BI7.0 and IP?
    Ideas?

    We have completed the installation of ECC 6.0 today.
    After starting sapinst.exe we only selected the "ABAP stack" and "ECC 6.0".
    This is enough for IDES installation for MM/SD/FICO on the ABAP stack (not sure about PP though, although we can see PP on the start menu).

  • BI7 ABAP+Java IDES Question (SSO);  URGENT

    Hi All:
    I have installed an ABAPJavaEPEPCBI-Java usage type on one physical host. 1 SID (BID). I have set up all the SSO options as per the guid but am having some problems. Pre-cursor: The default UME client is (for 2004s installs) 001 and is so here. the default login client for IDES is 800 (I have it as such). J2ee-WAS has no client but for SSO they recommend setting it to nonexistisatant ABAP client, so I am using 990.
    EP (990) [created the SSO certs & Exported] -> imported into ABAP 000 STRUSTSSO2. Added to ACL list (as client 990).
    Question: must I log into 000,001,800 and add these to each ACL for each ABAP client? (So in 001, must my ACL be for the EP cert 990?)...must I repeat for each client?

    Please see SAP Note 1244548 - IDES ERP 6.0 ECC 6.0 SR3 (section 9) it says:

    9. Business Functions
    In this IDES system, the Business Function FI-CAX (Contract A/R + A/P)
    is already activated. Because of this no additional business function,
    industry solution etc. can be activated.
    There is no possibility to reset this status and to deactivate FI-CAX.
    ====================================================
    As described , customers cannot use any IS with such IDES systems.
    Please keep in mind that only one industry extension can be activated in a system and FI-CAX was not released
    for combination with other industry extensions or add-ons.

  • Problem with Java Script after upgrade from BW 3.5 to BI7

    Dear Colleagues,
    We're facing the issue with Java Script after upgrade of BW 3.5 to BI7.
    Just after update we checked the basic functionality and it occured that some of web templates that use Java Script don't work. They generate seelction screen, but after selection the screen becomes blank without any error messages.
    We're currently stucked since web templates weren't converted to BI7 version so they should work exactly as before the upgrade.
    We compared the Java code with other environment that was not upgraded - it's perfectly the same.
    The only explanation that comes to my mind is that some Java Script settings on the server level were changed during the upgrade but I have no idea where I can check that.

    Unfortunately, http cache clean-up did not help. But there is another funny thing I found - for exactly the same 3.5 webtemplate html code returned from WebAS 3.5 was different then from 7.0.

  • Table view in EHP1 CRM 7.0

    How to create a table view in ehp1 CRM.
    Is it the same way by creating a view and adding value node /model node then selecting view as table view with congigurable mode?

    As per your requirement, AET table enhancement will be best suited to it.
    Use the help.sap.com link i gave in earlier reply to know more about  AET table enhancements.
    Now to get on to this task ,
    1) Use transaction AXTSYS and create an entry for Z component, give a name say ZAET_TBLEXT.
    and Save. The AET Table extension, then will use this component by default( if you select the radio button there) to create the views. Remember, just give any name you desire for the component. You dont need to create this componenet. AET extension wizard will create the component automatically.
    2) Open the overview page on which you would like to have the tableview as an assignment block. Since its a compititor info, i assume you want to place it on a BP/Account/Prospect. Competitor Overview Page or Opportunity Overview Page. Now chose the config button and once the Assignment blocks are highlighted, select the Header View( Compititor header or Opportunity header view depending on the overview page you are in) and config tool will open. Use the Display Enhancement button or create enhancement button and another popup will open which display the enhancements if any,
    3) On this Pop up you will see the AET table extensions assignment block. Use the Add table button. Follow the wizard and create the table, mention fields, translations etc. Also mention it as 1:n relation and so the table view. Chose the Standard buttons so you get all action buttons as well as inser, editlist, delete buttons etc.
    Once done, save and generate. This creates the view and also adds the component usage on overviewpage.
    Now all you need to do is just configure the overviewpag to pull the new tableview assignment block from Available to Displayed blocks.
    Note :
    1) this creates a Ztable , name same as mentioned/defaulted while AET table enahncement
    2) this create Z BOL entity with 1:n relation with Access Entity of OverviewPage , for example, BuilHeader if account overview page or BTAdminH if Opportunity overview page.
    3) creates BOL strucutre, handler class etc on its own.
    4) You do not need to do any coding,
    Thus in half an hour, you are done with Table view enhancement with Z table based entities.
    Before EhP1, we had to extend the BT/BP model with ZBOL and had to do a lot of thigs on our own. Almost 2 days job for an advance developer which is reduced to 15-20 minutes with zero coding required.
    If you have a sandbox or IDES system, i would recommand you to try it there frst, get confident and then do development on your development system.
    Remember ->
    1) AET Enhancement tool has to be started from WEB UI - which is generally runs on Customizing client, but creating AET table and enhancements is Workbench task. So if your customizing client is locked for workbench developments, then You must run the WEBUI on your workbench client ( use transaction wui ). It does not make any difference as far as development is concerned because your development its pure Workbench activity. later, you configure the Overview Page to pull the AET table view on your customizing client.
    2) Be confident and have well determined about the table design & about your table view design like the fields you need etc. because once you add the fields and mention the field type like Numeric, indicator,text etc, you can not change it later once the Tableview is generated. You can add more fields later and you can delete fields too but you can not change their type later.

  • How to show a message in a query BI7?

    Hi everybody,
    In BI7, I need to show an error message that the selection screen of a query to after checking a variable.
    I tried the following in the code of customer exit for variables (step 3):
    1. Put "MESSAGE E899(bd) WITH text-008" but after show me the message, interrumped the conexion with BEx.
    2. Put the functions:
           CALL FUNCTION 'RRMS_MESSAGE_HANDLING'
              EXPORTING
                i_class  = 'R9'
                i_type   = 'I'
                i_number = '108'
                i_msgv1  = l_msgv1
              EXCEPTIONS
                dummy    = 1
                OTHERS   = 2.
            CALL FUNCTION 'RRMS_MESSAGES_SHOW'.
            CALL FUNCTION 'RRMS_MESSAGES_DELETE'.
            sy-subrc = 4.
            raise no_replacement.
       But after the message appears, it shows another warning message "Variables contain invalid values" and then doesn't do anything (i.e. BI hangs up and is unresponsive).
    The idea is that after the error message appears and is closed, the system returns to the selection screen for give the possibility to enter a correct value.

    Added the satellite system to SLD, Configured data collector (RZ70) in the satellite system, Pushed data from SLD to SMSYS (automatic transfer).
    Installed CCMS agent + CCMSPING agent in satellite system. Checked connectivity in solman with RZ21. Connectivity is fine.
    Created Monitor sets and monitors in CCMS for monitoring satellite system. Client data is visible in CCMS.
    Created a solution in DSWP. Created logical component in SMSY. Assigned the logical component to the solution. Now I can see the data in DSWP.
    Here are my questions

    1. In DSWP, everytime I have to view data, I have to click on "Setup System Monitoring" to view the alerts in the satellite system
    I see a red alert reading for instance availability. Similarly,
    In the system monitoring workcenter, I see the status of both the solution manager and the satellite system greyed out with a cross. When I move my mouse over it, it reads, no CCMSPING data available.
    Any idea as to why this happens?
    2. For what I see after I click on "Setup System Monitoring" I have parameters which I can configure. I see default values for these parameters. Is there like a recommendation or a template which can be used to setup these monitoring parameter values?
    3. I have configured the ccmsping in the solution manager (for the solution manager) however the ccmsping service refuses to run. It throws a error reading "The system could not find the file specified". The ccmsping exe file is present in the location stated. Are there other files that this is looking for?
    4.  While registering the agent in the satellite system, I first registered with the CSMREG id. It failed with the message,

    I then did this with a dialog user. That worked. Agent was registered in solution manager. Any idea on why this error would show up with the CSMREG? I am concerned about issues which can come up when the password for the dialog user changes.
    I am not sure how to upload screenshots of what i see, probably if i do that, it will be easy to relate to the issue which I am mentioning here. Is there a way I can do that?

    Additionally you will want to look at SAP Note 1175058 - Problems with CCMSPING in SAP Solution Manager, especially
    c) Ensure that the message server host name in the monitoring options of CCMSPING and the message server of the corresponding main instance of the relevant system is the same in the SAP Solution Manager landscape
    (SMSY). Important: The monitoring options of CCMSPING must not be configured using an IP address.
