  • NWBC ERP6.0 + EHP2

    Hi,
we are using an ERP6.0 System (stack 12), and NW7.0(SPS15). I tried to install NWBC. help.sap.com speaks about a ddic-table NWBC_CONFIG and also about a handler class for icf CL_NWBC_HTTP_EXTENSION.
Wheter the class nor the DDIC-Table is in our system? The documentation describes NW2004s SPS12 as technical requirement, not really about EHP2/ERP6.0
    Where to find these Tables/Classes?
    Regards,
    Christian

    Hi Christian,
I researched a bit about this.
Please check SAP Notes 1058567 and  692245. These seem to have resolved similar issues.
    Also,
Please check how the scripting is activated on your system. If it is in read only mode, you have to set parameters:
    sapgui/user_scripting_set_readonly to FALSE and
    sapgui/user_scripting_disable_recording to FALSE
    Hope this helps.

  • Need help with ERP6.0 EHP5 (BS 2010) an NW 7.0 EHP2

    Hello,
We are planning an upgrade to ERP6.0 EHP5 because the ESS services in ABAP-WD.
Ramp-UP will end on 11 July 2011 or some days later.
In the EHP5-Upgrade is also an upgrade to NW7.0 EHP2 necessary.
To start in August the latest ERP6 EHP5 stack 5 is available but we planned to do the upgrade in August with stack 4.
But it seems to be that the Basis-Packages (NW7) doesn't follow compulsive the ERP-Packages
    i.e. ERP6.0 EHP4 stack 9 includes NW7.0 EHP1 stack 8 not as mentioned stack 9.
Now I found on SAP following sentences:
        https://websmp208.sap-ag.de/~form/sapnet?_FRAME=CONTAINER&_OBJECT=011000358700001389482008E
SAP Enhancement Package 1 for SAP NetWeaver 7.0 Support Package Stacks
        SPS 08 December 14th, 2010 (available)
If you plan to participate in Ramp-Up of SAP Business Suite Innovations 2010, we recommend to upgrade to BS 2010 instead  of implementing this SP. If not Ramp-Up participation will not be possible before SPS 07 of SAP EHP2 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 is available.
I'm confused about it. Does it mean I can't upgrade to ERP6 EHP5 until NW7.0 EHP2 SP7 is available? I guess this will not be available befor Feb. 2012. I there anyone who has the necessary overview about it?
I where very delighted if someone are able to help me and look forward to hearing from you.
    Best regards
    Harald

I would say the onboard audio chip is either disabled in the BIOS or dead.
Taking a second look at the device manager screens shot, there is no multimedia audio controller with a ! mark, which would indicate a device that needs a driver.
The screen shot in your device manager shows all drivers are installed.
No onboard Realtek HD Audio device present.
Did you install a video card with an HDMI out port?
If so, then the video card may have disabled the onboard audio because it has an HDMI audio chip on it.
Go into the BIOS and look for an onboard audio setting. It will be set to auto or disabled.
Change the setting to enabled. Save it there and again when you exit the bios.
Reboot, and your onboard audio should be back.

  • EHP2 - EHP7 Upgrade Path using SQL Server 2012/Win Server 2012 R2

    Hi Guys.
I have question regarging Upgrade Roadmap for a ERP 6 EHP2 system based on NW 7.01 which I would like to Upgrade to ERP6 EHP7 SP7
    Source System is
    Windows 2012
    SQL Server 2008 R2
    EHP2 for ERP 6.0 SPS Level 14
    Target System
    Windows 2012
    SQL Server 2012
    EHP7 for ERP 6.0 SP 7 based on NW 7.4 SP 9
During Upgrade checks it says I must Upgrade Database first before continue since DB Release is too low for NW 7.4 SP9 as stated in Note
1951491 - Minimal DB system platform requirements for SAP NetWeaver 7.4 SP08
So, at this point I agree i have to update SQL Server to 2012 before next step
Now, my concern is that my Source System does not have the minimum NW SP level (14) to run under SQL Server 2012 which is 26.
Im currently running SAP Kernel 721 EXT Level 401 which is above mininum
According to Note 1651862 - Release planning for Microsoft SQL Server 2012 that would not be possible
Existing systems of SAP products that are out of SAP maintenance can be upgraded to SQL Server 2012 in order to prepare a SAP upgrade, if they match the SAP NetWeaver Support Package requirements defined below.
SAP products prior to SAP NetWeaver 7.0 are not supported at all on SQL Server 2012.
Required minimum SAP Netweaver Support Package Stacks (SPSs) for SQL Server 2012 (SAP ABAP, SAP ABAP+JAVA stacks)
    SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 - SPS 26 (SAP BASIS 26, SAP BW 28)
SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 - SPS 11 (SAP BASIS 11, SAP BW 11)
SAP EHP2 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 - SPS 11 (SAP BASIS 11, SAP BW 11)
SAP EHP3 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 - SPS 03 (SAP BASIS 03, SAP BW 03)
    SAP NETWEAVER 7.1 - SPS 14 (SAP BASIS SP14)
    SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.1 EhP1 - SPS 10(SAP BASIS SP10, SAP BW SP10)
SAP NetWeaver 7.2 - no restriction
    SAP NETWEAVER 7.3 - SPS 07 (SAP BASIS 07, SAP BW 07)
SAP EHP1 FOR SAP NETWEAVER 7.3 - SPS 03 (SAP BASIS 03, SAP BW 03)
If your system is running on a SPS lower than the one required above, you have to apply the minimum required SPS before upgrading/migrating to SQL Server 2012.
If you install a NetWeaver product on SQL Server 2012, the required SPS for your product must be applied immediately after the installation - see SAP note 1676665, section I for more information.
But performing the Upgrade would be technically possible? I mean not for productive use but technicaly during that time the Database is Upgrade and during SUM Execution.
According to the note it states if you install a Netweaver Product in SQL Server 2012, SPS must be applied immediately, so is kinda ambigous what SAP is saying.
    Best
    Martin

    Hi Martin,
For a test scenario, there's no harm in trying it (other than spending a lot of time on it, but hopefully that will prove not to be a waste). Generally, I expect you'll be fine upgrading your DBMS even though you aren't on the required minimum SP yet. The main thing you'll be missing out on is the updates to DBACOCKPIT, but once you do your EhP upgrade (with sps update included), you'll be putting that in place.
So, you could try this on your sandbox system and see if there are any problems. I assume the intent is to start the EhP upgrade as soon as the DBMS upgrade is done, right? In other words, you won't be actually using the system without the required SP except to run the EhP upgrade?
Alternatively, you could do a minimal support pack update, perhaps just a Basis SP only, to the minimum SP needed for your current release, then do the DBMS upgrade, then proceed with the EhP upgrade. This would be the safest procedure, but, as I said, I expect you can probably get away without going to this level without much problem. Again, the idea would be minimizing the time between the start and end of the total project on each system (DEV, QAS, PRD, etc).

    Matt

  • Which version Diagnotics Agent to install for ERP6 systems using SM 7.1 ?

    Hi,
I have a recently installed Solution Manager 7.1 system and would now like to add our managed systems for monitoring.
Our managed systems are all running NW EHP2 / ERP6 EHP5 and I have installed the latest SAPHostagent 7.2 on each of these systems. These systems are non unicode running on Suse Linux Enterprise 10.
I'm confused as to which version Diagnostic Agent to install for this setup. Under Solution Manager 7.1 in SWDC the managing agents are for a 7.3 installation only and the prerequisites require Suse Linux Enterprise 11. I'm not sure whether I can use agents located under older Solution Manager systems.
With the above information in mind can you help ?
    Thanks.

(Almost) all of your questions are answered in the note:
    > 2.Do wee need to apply the above note for non-unicode upgrade
    <...>
Even on non-Unicode system you should replace all matchcodes that are still required by search helps.
    <...>
    > 3.Note 1330256  recomends to apply support pack or to apply the Note 1330256  ,but we can do it only at upgraded version.
Yes - it avoids dumping with the dump mentioned in the note
    > 4.How to identify the matchcodes
    <...>
You can use the program TWTOOL01 to determine the existence of matchcodes.
    <...>
    > 5.How to delete them

You can then use the function module DD_MCOB_DEL to delete matchcode objects, and the function module DD_OBJ_DEL to delete matchcode IDs.

    > 6.Impact of deleteing matchcodes
None since they were replaces by search helps.

    Hello Waseem,
I would recommend to update to the latest disp+work but also check in sm21 and find the work process that encountered the error. Then see in the corresponding work process trace file dev_w* for the real error that occured.
e.g. If you see ERROR => RFC Signon> Failure in ab_MakeTicketSndExternal calling

  • Error in phase XPRAS_AIMMRG for Upgrade from 4.7 to ERP6 ehp5 sps5

    Hi All,
We are in process in upgrading our sandbox system from 4.7 to ERP6.0
    EHP5 SPS5.
During the downtime step we are facing an error in phase XPRAS_AIMMRG
Upon investigation we found that there are short dumps in the system
    due to this error.
Below is the extract of the short dumps generated by the job RDDEXECL
    Category Internal Kernel Error
    Runtime Errors DDIC_TYPE_INCONSISTENCY
    Application Component BC-ABA-LA
    Date and Time 05.12.2011 08:58:48
    Short text
Inconsistency in the dictionary for the structure "KOMG".
    What happened?
    Error in the SAP kernel.
The current ABAP "SAPLF82V" program had to be terminated because
    the
ABAP processor detected an internal system error.
Also, We I try to check the Table KOMG in SE11 is get the below messages.
    Check table KOMG (DDIC/05.12.11/10:00)
Append structure OILKOMG appended to table KOMG
Append structure OIUKOMG appended to table KOMG
No customer or SAP include SI_KOMK_CM exists
No customer or SAP include SI_KOMP_CM exists
No customer or SAP include CI_PRS_CPILS_2 exists
Enhancement category 3 possible, but include or subty. not
    yet classified
Field LGORT in table KOMG is specified twice. Please check
KOMG-ZZMVGR4: Table TVM1T in search help attachment differs
    from table of search field
Check on table KOMG resulted in errors
Has anyone received the below message in XPRAS phase during the upggrade.
Any suggestion would be most welcome.
    Regards,
    Nilesh Jagtap

    Dear Nilesh,
The reason for this issue is that the component 'LGORT' is indeed specified twice in structure KOMG on your system.
It might be definied in the standard include as well as in your customer include.
Please bear in mind, that if you append customer own structures to SAP standad structures, that the component names should start with 'Z' or even better 'ZZ'.
That prevents the case which might have happened here, that the field you have added on customer side has also been delivered as part of an SAP standard include.
So you should change your structure accordingly.
Note 531835 describes how to add an own field to such structures. It might also be helpful for you.
After you have repaired your structure you can activate the structure KOMG and the issue should be solved.
    Best Regards,
    Abhishek

  • Error in Phase START_SHDI_FIRST for Upgrade to ERP6 SR3

    Hi Folks
We are performing a test upgrade 46C to ERP6 using the SR3 CDs and I'm stuck at the START_SHDI_FIRST stage.
It's not the "usual" .acl problem.
Here is an excerpt from the SAPup joblog. I also get the same result if I logon as <SID>OFR add the 700 Kernel and use STARTSAP.

STRSBSJOB does exist in the Kernel library and appears in /usr/sap/put/exe as a link.
Not sure where to go from here.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks
    Steve

    Hi Steven,
I think, you are trying something forbidden here ;-((
You are in the uptime and try to use STARTSAP for the new kernel, which is not ok.
The correct way to start the shadow is as follows:
    - logon with sidofr
    - addlible sapup
    - check, that the shadow instance is totally down - otherwise kill all processes there
(you could use (try) the following instead as well:
       SAPUP UPGDIR('/usr/sap/put') PARMLIST('stopshd')     )
    - SAPUP UPGDIR('/usr/sap/put') PARMLIST('startshd')
Then it is interesting to see the errors ....
    btw:
the well-known error is really not there ?
    edtf '/usr/sap/put/X85/SYS/global/ms_acl_info'
    HOST = *      <<< correct
Then, I do have the next idea as the new second in future "well-known-error":
The locales in the OS will miss for DE and/or US ;-((
In the old kernel, this was no issue, but now, SAP changed its mind and doesn't deliver them as fallback any more ;-(
(note 1077496 tries to explain this change, but I was not able by now to understand this note or to see that it really works like this - especially as I never have the chance to install complete further languages just for this !!!)
    My check is always:
Please check with CALL QP2TERM: (NOT QSH!)
    cd /usr/lib/nls/loc
    ls en*
    ls de*
(normally in this directory there are links only, but you can place true
    locales here as well)
You need at least the following ones:
    en_US.ISO8859-1
    en_US.ISO8859-1__64
    de_DE.ISO8859-1
    de_DE.ISO8859-1__64
=> I do have all needed locales for download and place them (a bit illegal) into /usr/lib/nls/loc - if you are interested in this, let me know.

    Hi,
Yes, there is away to deactivate new depreciation calculation/enterprise asset management module even though EA-FIN is switched on in ERP 6.0. Below are essential details from SAP help before upgrade to ERP6.0 for your perusal.

  • Double-click to create method/attribute in EHP2 Netweaver 7.0 does not work

    Hi,
    this makes me wonder:
I'm used to create new attributes or methods by simply double-clicking the new name and the system will ask me to create. Now I am new in EHP2 and for methods it just says 'wrong cursor position or object not in navigation', for attributes system just does not show any reaction.
Please help me as it is really annoying always to create things from object tree or class header.
What is it I do not see?
    Thanks so much.
    Clemens

    Hi,
sorry I thought it was clear: I try in the new ABAP front end editor - accessed through SE80, SE24, SE38 and anay transaction that allows you to edit code (except  lousy things like the enhancement spot implementation code window).
An it is still the same: In a report, I can write perform xyz and double-click will asjk me to create a form. Just in oo context, attributes and methods should be the same - as it was since ECC600 or even before on 46C. Except our current system I don't know anyone working on EHP2 for Netweaver 7.
EHP2 just another undeclared untested Beta-Version?
    I can't believe.

    Clemens

    Hope you guys are rocking...
we are in the process of upgrading the SAP Netweaver version from SAP NETWEAVER 7.0 to EHP2 Through EHPI Tool in the preparation phase we are facinga issue....
ERROR: The new SAP tools in /usr/sap/EHPI/abap/exe cannot connect to your database.
           Possible reasons are:
            - Environment variables are not properly set for the version of the
database client which is used by the new tools.
            - Required database libraries are not accessible or cannot be found neither
through a compiled-in path nor through explicit search via the
              shared library path.
            - Auxiliary files such as language files etc. are not compatible with
this version of the database client.
Please check database / OS specific notes referenced in the manual for more help.
The log file /usr/sap/EHPI/abap/log/DBCONNCHK.LOG contains more
           details about the failure.
done latest kernel upgrade in sys /exe/run and ehpi/abap/exe
and tested connection from EHPI/abap/exe r3trans -d success.
    please do needful.
    Regards,
    Syed

    Dear Syed,
Regarding the issue faced by you please make sure you download and replace the the latest patch of
tp, R3trans and Database Library (dbsl library) of target release(720) to the /usr/sap/EHPI/abap/exe and /exenew
directories and then restart the EHPI tool (repeat the phase).
Also check if the file dboraslib.sl was existing in the new patches and folders which are replaced.
Look into Note 830578 - Oracle database 10g: Unix environment variable
to check the environment variable are set properly or not.
    This should resolve your issue.
