EHP3 stack 2 requirements

Hi
We have ECC 6.0 on support package 12. I want to implement enhancement package 3 stack 2 and SAP HR 34. SAP note 1130534 says the requirements for HR sp's EA-HR 6.00 and SAP HR 6.00 is sp29. Currently we have EA-HR and SAP HR sp 21.
Also that the enhancement packages and support packages should be included in one queue , so that the SPAU and SPDD can be done once.
What can I do in this case ? Do I upgrade EA-HR and SAP HR to 29 before putting the enhancement packages ? and perform the SPAU list twice .
Regards
Thembela

Hi Thembela,
you can apply this in one queue or first go to Enhancement Package 3 Stack 2 (~ECC 600 SPS 13) and then apply the 5 remaining HR-SPs (SAP_HR/EA-HR SP 30-34 or 04-08 for EA-HR 603 depending on your selection).
Also in the 2nd case the SPAU-effort is reduced since the following 5 SPs are on top. Nevertheless the same objects could be toched again in some cases.
If you would first goto SP 29 this would not make much sense since the Enhancement Package 3 will then bring up the equivalent corrections again. This would result in higher SPAU-effort.
Best regards,
Christoph

  • Web Dynpro ABAP - Java stack required?

    Hey everyone,
We are currently planning an upgrade to ECC 6.0 and Netweaver 2004s. A source of debate during this planning has been whether or not to install the Java stack in our upgraded system.
I'm an ABAP developer, so I'm really looking forward to using Web Dynpro ABAP. Does anyone know if the Java stack is required to effectively use Web Dynpro ABAP? It seems like the two should be independent...but I just want to be sure.
    Thanks in advance!!
    Chad

No, you do not need the java stack to run WDA applications.  It runs purely on the ABAP stack.  You can develop your WDA app in SE80 and run it.  It will run in a browser from the ABAP stack.  If you have a portal, then you know that this runs on the java stack.  Also, your portal is probably not running on the same box as your backend ERP system.  If you running a portal, I would suggest installing both the java stack as well as the ABAP stack for you portal to run on.  Then you will be able to use WDA to create applications to run in your portal.
So to sum up,  the portal runs on the java side, if you have both stacks running under your portal you can development WDA and WDJ applications, which both can run on that same engine.  To answer you question, you DON'T need the java stack to develop and run your WDA application, but if you want it to run in a portal, then you need a java stack to run the portal on top of.  This can be a completly separate box and a standalone java stack.   Did I confuse you even more?

  • NWDI Stack requirements for NWDS, ECC CE 7.1 and PI 7.1

What is the requirement for NWDI 7.0 with respect to other usage types. I think the rule is this:
NWDI and NWDS (dev studio) should be on the same SP level, whereas NWDI can support simultaneous 7.0 and 7.1 track like Portal BI and PI?
Anyone care to comment or refute?
    Thanks
    Mikie Brogan

I am not aware if there is any such requirement other than the compatible java version.
NWDI doesn't support ABAP content, you will have to configure CTS+ and probably CTS+ with NWDI.
For NWDS - NWDI, no you do not need same versions, you need same java versions.
    I am using NWDS NW70 SP14 (have used SP8, SP10) with NWDI 7.0 SP18.
Make sure you ahve the relevant java versions.
If you plan to use NWDI70 with CE71, you would need to understand how to set dual java versions in NWDI and how to support it in track.
    That is also possible.

  • About the right patches for EHP3

    Hi Sap Gurus,
We had recently upgraded for the  ERP EHP 3
The current levels of our package is
    SAP_APPL 600
    SAP_HR 600 at 36
    SAP_BASIS 700
    EA_HR 603 002 level
    EA_APPl 600
But we are getting many errors. Can anybody suggest what are the right level packages for a good combination and also what are the subcomponents required for the EA_HR package to be working correctly.
    Thanks,
    Leela.

    Hello!
The best combination would be upgrade your system to the latest stack, that is stack 14.
It already includes several corrections that may be causing your issue (besides the fact that it could be SP Mismatch).
For EhP3, Stack 14 consists of the following:
    SAP_APPL............................................603 SP03
    EA-HR...................................................603 SP07 (or above)
    SAP-HR.................................................603 SP33 (or above)
    Portal Netweaver Components..................Stack 16, 17 or 18
    ESS.......................................................603 SP03
    SAP_MSS..............................................600 SP14
    PCUI_GP................................................603 SP03
    Business Package..................................1.31 SP03
    I hope this helps you!

  • HTTP Post and Java Stack

Does the java stack need to be installed for ECC5 to send a message via HTTP?
Edited by: Kim Holloway on Dec 16, 2010 10:55 PM

ECC is can send the data through ABAP Stack , No java stack required.

  • Install SAP BW Java Stack on SolMan server

    Hi.
Regarding the single stack requirement coming in with SAP BW 7.4 my customer ask me if it is possible to move the Java Stack to the SolMan server because it has more or less nothing to do. But regarding the actual definition I am not sure if it is possible.
I am not an infrastructure guy so I like to identify if this can be handled like this in line with the SAP guideline only and then start an internal discussion.
    Thanks in advance,
    Nils

    Hi Nils,
Installing a second Java stack on the same machine with a different SID is perfectly fine. Personally I don't recommend it as two different SAP products (different NetWeaver versions) will be running on the same Windows, definitely requires more maintenance effort than managing two instances on different servers. The downtimes will effect both servers, one of them may encounter a server-related problem while the other working fine etc.
Also make sure you have enough resources for both of them.

  • Version Automatically on Top of Stack?

I may be dreaming, but I seem to recall in the early days of Aperture 3 (obviously not long ago), that whenever I created a version, by cropping, adjusting, etc, that new version was automatically placed on top of the stack.
That was very useful since when I edit a photo, I consider the edited version as my new number 1.
Now, however, the new versions seem to be placed at the end of the stack, requiring me to move them to the top.
Anyone have any comments on whether or how new versions can be set to automatically be placed on the top of a stack?
    Thanks.

    Gary wrote:
Gary -- Thanks for the numbers. Numbers are good to have.
PS I've also been using Stacks for grouping bracketed (and panoramic) sets. But I've also been using them for grouping adjusted versions. It doesn't seem to be quite working out - for me - so I might have to revise that.
My experience (limited, but aware) has been that, for each of the many grouping or binning functionalities in Aperture, I am always best served by choosing one and only one purpose. Your use of Stacks illustrates the problem: are Stacks for
. making picks among burst or bracketed shots?
. grouping panoramas and HDR singles (etc.)?
. grouping development versions of an image?
Stacks provide a sophisticated binning functionality (group, rank, collapse/expand) that is applicable to several tasks. Unfortunately, there is one and only one type of Stack, and no (easy) way to distinguish them. (One can easily imagine three kinds of Stacks, one each for the grouping needs listed above.) Am I right in assuming that this is the problem you imply with "+It doesn't seem to be quite working out+"?
For me, helping to winnow my photographs is the most important function I can assign to Stacks. I stack very similar shots, select the best of the Stack and promote it to the "Pick", and then go through the Project (I use one Project for each shoot) with Stacks collapsed and select the best among the Picks and the non-stacked shots.
(My "flower bed" is, from subsoil to bloom:
    . Rejects
    . All non-rejects
    . Stack Picks and non-rejects
. Best of Project ("Selects", which are Project-specific)
. Selected for printing, export, publication, sale, etc. (Selected Selects -- which I move to Albums)
That leaves several things to address: how to handle bracketed shots, panorama shots, HDR shots, focus stacking shots, and, not least, Versions.
Shots bracketed in order to increase the odds of a proper exposure are easy: they get treated just like other Stacks. Stack 'em, pick the best, move on.
The other groupings I deal with in an "extra-computational" way: I remember that this stack is for a panorama (for instance). Then when I create the panorama I import it and put it in the Stack with the shots which comprise it, and make it the Pick. The "extra-computational" part is, clearly, a kludge, but a livable-with one.
Version-stacking muddies this tremendously (especially when the version is already in what I might call a "Picking Stack"). *I actually think that Aperture should add a specific and visually identified method of Version-stacking separate from the existing Stacks.* Every image whether inside or outside a user-defined Stack should have it's own Version stack. (Correct me if I'm wrong, but all Version of an image must be in the same Project, no?)
If I care to Pick two Versions in a Stack (either a Picking Stack or a Versions Stack), I split the Stack.
What is your Stacks workflow, and how might you revise it?
I'm also very curious about other's use of color labels. I find them queer, due to the fact that any image can have +one and only one+ color label. There is no set of useful identifiers I can think of which has 8 non-overlapping bins (I assume I am missing something terribly obvious). I tried using colors for different sets of identifiers, but failed at each because there were always images to which I wanted to assign two colored labels. I've ended up using the colors to assign steps along the progression of image development (Develop!, Developing (some adjustments applied but not done), Problem, Developed, Redevelop!, Redeveloped, Abandon, Not yet flagged).
This works well for me, because I am able to maintain separate identifier sets for development progression and image rating (I use the built-in stars). I can have good images not yet developed, developed images down-rated, images waiting to be rated or developed, and so on. What do you do?
Need I apologize for the ramble? I really want to set up a workable system that I then won't have to worry about for a couple of years and tens of thousand of images. Thanks for reading and any replies you might make.

    Hello Centurian!
I think u r new to Java, as the mistakes or the errors r very basic. Although i am not a good expert but still.....
Any ways have a look what u have done.
    e.g
    U:\My Java\CS301\PileGame.java:23: incompatible types
    found : jm.util.Stack
    required: int
    top1 = pile1;
    ^
    U:\My Java\CS301\PileGame.java:24: incompatible types
    found : jm.util.Stack
    required: int
    top2 = pile2;
    ^
these errors r in the move() method in the following statements ...
//Sets top of each pile to int
    top1 = pile1;
top2 = pile2;Here i think u wanted to get the top of stack, then u have to use.
    top1 = pile1.size();
    top2 = pile2.size();
As u need the integer value representing the size of stack not the stack itself.
Similarly for the other errors u just need a look on the api docs for stack.
    http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.3/docs/api/java/util/Stack.html
The push(object o) method of stack is used to fill the stack, u have to specify the value which u want to add on the stack top.
Any ways i think now u should try it yourself to improve... Another important thing that u should use pile1.push(list1.); instead of pile1.push(list1); in the for loop for initialization. As u need the value at i-th location of the list but not the whole list at each stack value .....
I hope this will help u to improve.

  • Gnome-shell crashes as soon as I try to open any app

This is the first time that I'm trying Arch and I only have one problem, the one that's in the title. I installed lxde and everything is working fine. Video drivers are working great (I can play Team Fortress 2) whit out a problem, and Gnome-shell loads just fine. I can go to Activities, switch desktop, click on the indicators, but as soon as I try to open an app, all crashes. I logged in lxde, opened a terminal and i typed "gnome-shell --replace" to see the outut and this is what I got:
    $ gnome-shell --replace

    Do you have networkmanager installed?
Nevermind, while that does seem to be an error with nmapplet, it would appear that you also have a problem with policykit.  Are you using a desktop manager to load gnome?
Edit: Eh, nevermind that also.  I'm guessing the bottom two lines is a segmentation fault.  Not sure what is going on with the gnome-shell-calendar-server.  Hopefully someone more familiar with gnome than me shows up to help you.

  • Support Packs in Solution manager

    Hi,
I have a query, when I am going to select patches through maintenance optimizer for solution manager I can see the source and target stack level at SMP and when I am putting the source stack(17) and the target stack as latest, solution manager 7.0 EHP 1-23 and going further for download it shows the support packs corresponding to release 701 but not to 700, as my current support pack level for solman is 16(release 700) and I can see there are support pack level up to 21 for release 700, I am confused why it is not taking account the remaining patches for 700 or can I switch directly to 701 and apply the support packs corresponding to release 701.
    Regards,
    Mridul

    Dear Mirdul,
Check SAP note 1169247. In which it is mentioned that:
    ABAP stack requirements
You can start the SAINT update from any Solution Manager 7.0 ABAP Stack.
    Java stack requirements
A direct JSPM update to Solution Manager 7.0 Java Stack 18 and higher is not possible from some of the Java stacks. Therefore, proceed as follows: First, use the JSPM update to update the Java stack only to Solution Manager 7.0 Java stack 17 and then update to the relevant Solution Manager 7.0 Enhancement Package 1 Java stack.
Take the numbering into account: Solution Manager 7.0 Java stack 17 contains NetWeaver 7.0 Java stack 16.
Also, check point number 5 in that.
I think now it will be clear.
    Thanks
    Sunny

  • How to login CRM 2007 BSP page use account domain of Microsoft AD

    Dear friends,
I am finding solution to setup system with the requisite:
    - Login to CRM 2007 Business Server Page use account domain which is managed by Microsoft Acitve Directory.
    - Users use only web browser, they didn't use SAPGUI and they must type username, password ( their username, password are managed in Microsoft AD, not in SAP system) in every login to BSP page, don't use solution like X.509 client certificate.
I used to configured using SNC and I could login to SAP System using SAPGUI without type SAP username and password when I log in my computer by account domain( my computer is joined in domain).
But my requisite is have to use account domain( username and password)  and type them in web browser when I want to log in SAP system, could not configured to go to directly SAP application ( BSP page ) without type username/password of account domain.
After time looking for solution about authentication :
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/index?rid=/webcontent/uuid/8039306e-cea4-2a10-15b9-8e96d40c51ef [original link is broken]
I think may be I could login to java portal by used username/password of account domain to authenticate after login  to portal I use SSO to switch to BSP page without type username password again. This solution may be accepted because I was login to SAP application from web browser and used account domain.
Could you show me, there are anymore solution or how could I do to to set up my above solution.
    Thanks and Best Regards.

The normal way to do this is to configure the authentication stack required on a JAVA stack (e.g. portal or standalone Java instance of NetWeaver or dual stack) and then configure the BSP app in SICF transaction to redirect to Java stack when no SSO2 ticket is sent by browser (e.g. user has already authenticated). The redirect to Java stack will be done, such that after user has authenticated to Java stack they will be issued with an SSO2 ticket and redirected back to the BSP app URL. From end users perspective, they will access the BSP app URL and get authenticated using Active Directory, and they won't know about the redirection since they will be logged into the BSP app once they have authenticated.
The authentication using Active Directory can be done using two methods:
    - Using credentials already on workstation from workstation logon, e.g. using Integrated Windows Authentication
    - Showing user a form where they enter AD account and password.
    Thanks,
    Tim

  • Financials 11i on Oracle 8.1.6/SOlaris2.6

As a development environment, we're installing Financials as a Single-Node Installation.
    I have two basic questions:
    1) I notice from the documentation that the technology stack requires 8.0.6 ORACLE_HOME. Does it mean I need to install 8.0.6 separately from 8.1.6 or does the application CD's contain the required components for 8.0.6.
    2) Is it required to install all the three(3) environments - PROD, TEST, and VIS at the same time? If I install say VIS initially, do I need to go thro' the same difficult process of running the universal installer for creating the TEST environment?
    Thanks in advance.

If you are going to install 11i through Rapidinstall, the installer process will take you through the screens which will prompt you for oracle_home for 8.1.6, 8.0.6, webdb seperately. The Cds have all the oracle Home components needed.2) Is it required to install all the three(3) environments - PROD, TEST, and VIS at the same time? Depends on your requirement. If you want VIS environment and TEST environment, you can use the same rapidinstall to create both of them together. I created a PROD environment. After some teething troubles,It was smooth.

  • Dragging images in the browser

I'm grouping images in a project into stacks but not all the images for some stacks are conveniently displayed near each other. If I have to scroll to an image then try and drag it to the stack but to get to the stack requires scrolling the browser window I can't scroll while dragging a thumbnail and the browser doesn't auto-scroll when you get near the top or bottom of the window e.g. like Finder does when you drag a file.
    Hope I've explained that clearly?
How do you achieve this? The only way I've found is to drag the thumbnail to the bottom of the window, drop it, scroll so it's now at the top, drag it to the bottom, repeat until I get to the stack which isn't really satisfactory as it takes ages.

    sizzling badger wrote:
You can also just select the images you require using the command key and then create stack.
Hi, yes I know you can do that to create a stack, but the only way I can find to add another image to an existing stack is to drag 'n' drop it on the stack - can't find a command like Add To Stack, but I guess there must be another way?
