EHS workbench hitlist

when config the EHS workbench hitlist ,I want to add more column on the hitlist
In ,Spro>Environment,health and safety>basic Data And tools>specification management>specification master-->check identification listing.
If i change D_DEFAULT, without and spec.cat , the hitlist works, but all the agent and substance are used the same list , I want it can used by diffrence list , so May i know how can i make the "Spec.cat" Works.
and other issue , May I know if I want more column on hit list , how can I added it.
thanks and best regards

Hi,
Can you be more specific about your requirement please, as you can not change the Spec Categories, the IMG path you have mensioned is for selecting the Identifier list for each specification type,  if you want to add your own spec type, then you need to create a own spec type and add it to any one of the existing spec category, then load the ID lists etc..
Also can you be eloborative on which hitlist you want to what??

  • Value assignment and value assignment type in the specification workbench

    Hi all,
There is this section on the specification workbench called u201CProperty Treeu201D, this section contains all the value assignment type, I have two questions on this.
    Question 1 u2013
What is exactly the value assignment type? The SAP help portal said it is a structure specification data and information. What exactly does it mean and its usage?
    Question 2 u2013
May I know where is the SPRO configuration that actually causes the list of value assignment types appear on the property tree section for this particular specification type which I created.
In another word, I create this new specification with specification type u201CREAL_SUBu201C and specification category u201CSubstanceu201C in the specification workbench transaction. Next thing I know is that the property tree section for this particular specification consists of a list of value assignment type. How does the system assigned these list of value assignment types to this specification i created? Coz I didnu2019t do anything.
Where in SPRO and the logic link it up on this??
    Thanks.

    Hello all
EH&S contains a number of submodules (PS, DG, IH etc.). Regarding each submodule a basic customizing is delivered by SAP. One example is the specification type. Usually you will find something like
    REAL_SUB
    LIST_SUB
etc. in the Customizing as discussed. Further more I believe with EH&S 2.7. the specification category come in place (SUBSTANCE as an example). You need to take care regarding this too.
An value assignment type can be grouped in a property tree and a property tree can be linked to a specification type and there are cases known that one specification type is linked only to one property tree (this is a decision regarding business needs and not an IT quesition). Using the EHS& surface you can change the property tree per specification if the set up is done in Customizing. Therefore the property tree is a "view" on the data linked to a specification. (identifeirs etc. are managed different)
A "property" is based on a value assigment type and in many cases on a related EH&S class and characteristic. You will find these types.
A => value assignment type to be used if you need characteristics
B => value assignment type to be used if you need specification listing
C  => value assignment type to be used if you need composition
    .. etc.
You can mix types. That means you can create a property of type "A" and "C" (take a look in SAP original tree; you will find examples how to do it).
A propetry tree is a "list" of assignment type related to a object (specification). Using the property tree you can maintain necessary data. Therefore ithe property tree itself contains per specification the list of "potential" data structures you can fill with data. I belive SAP Standard is delviering now something like 250 properties (valeu assignment types): To e.g. get an MSDS you need to maintain I would assume at least something like 20 up to 50 properties
The area of customizing regrading property tree, specification types etc.  is the most crticial to have a sucessful EH&S project running; any wrong decision gives rise to a high cost later Therefore take your time to understand what effect does which customizing acitivity have later.
Based on the value assignemnt you will create later e.g. a WWI report (like MSDS).
Additionally if necessary you can create customer specific value assignment types by either do a copy from SAP original to "Z" (highly recommended to do so!) or starting from basic.
Starting with EH&S 2.7. you have now more options to "change" EH&S using standard EH&S functionality. Take a look in customizinjg (example: you could create you own "look and feel" of the workbench (you should'nt really do that but it is possible). You can design your own "tab strips" etc.
So once again: the "correct" set up of EH&S in the area of e.g. identifers, speficiation types, property trees etc. is the "core" activity in EH&S customizing and therefore think "twice" before you change the setup up (you need to understand what a change mean)
    With best regards

  • Specification creation in specification workbench

    Hi EHS guru,
When I am on the Specification creation screen using the specification workbench transaction, there are the following tab appears:
         Specification Header tab
         Restriction tab
         Identifiers tab
         References tab
         Material Assignment tab
         Status tab
         Relationships tab
    I have the following questions:
    1 u2013 Restriction tab
    >> What is the purpose of this restriction tab?
    2 u2013 Identifier tab
    >> What is the purpose of this identifier tab?
    >> Standard SAP recommend to use its existing standard identifier which are Name, Number, and Chamical formula, what their respective usage?
    3 u2013 Reference tab
    >> What is the purpose of this reference tab?
    4 u2013 Material Assignment tab
    >> Why need to assign material in this tab and for what purpose?
    5 u2013 Status tab
    >> What is the purpose of this status tab?
    6 u2013 Relationship tab
    >> What is the purpose of this Relationship tab?
    Regards,
    YY

    Hello
    Here's the answers.
1 u2013 Restriction tab - What is the purpose of this restriction tab?
There is some concept called rating and validity area which is used as one of authorization controls - who can edit / and who see the data.
    2 u2013 Identifier tab
What is the purpose of this identifier tab?
Standard SAP recommend to use its existing standard identifier which are Name, Number, and Chamical formula, what their respective usage?
Identifiers are used for searching the specifications. In recent versions of SAP a new identifier type is introduced which is called Indicator. Chemicals you can give name, Formula and If you have a internal product number you can give number.
    3 u2013 Reference tab
What is the purpose of this reference tab?
You can automatically maintain data without manually feeding data for each field by using reference option. This copies the data reversibly. So whenever you make changes in source it will be affected in target. when you refresh the specification.
    4 u2013 Material Assignment tab
Why need to assign material in this tab and for what purpose?
Material is assigned for linking specifications (Environmental Data) to Logistic data of SAP.
    5 u2013 Status tab
What is the purpose of this status tab?
Whenever you are editing the specification you can maintain different statuses so that the specifications are not used in producive environment. In process, Released etc. are the different statuses possible.
    6 u2013 Relationship tab
What is the purpose of this Relationship tab?
This is also similiar to reference - which you use for automatic data maintenance but this works on template concept. Where in you use templates (filter like thing which controls which data to be copied) and maintain the data.
If you are geting more doubts i suggest you read online documentation on SAP EH&S.
    Thanks

  • Waste Management Workbench Help

    Hi all,
I wonder if any of you can help me with Waste Management Worbench.
When accesing WACO02 and I select the Recipe Workbench (RMS), I can only work with spec categories Substances, Recipes and Formulas but not with Waste Codes.
The problem then is that I can not work with Waste through the workbench. Any idea??
I have seen that in the SPRO EHS/ Basic Data and Tools / Spec Management / Workbench / Set up Workbench you can specify the assigments for each service group but I can only assign Recipes, Substances and Formulas. Any idea on how can include WasteCodes?? and Dangerous Goods Classifications??
    Any help will be appreciated.
PS: To avoid this problem i am actually managing Waste Codes through WACO02OLD but it in not the desired way
    Many thanks,
    Alberto

    Hi Alberto,
please check the transaction CG02BD or change the IMG settings of the workbench as service group EHSALL.
    I hope it helps.
    Best regards,

  • Specification Status in Header Specification Workbench Header

    Hi,
In search screen of Specification Workbench (CG02) under Validity, what is the purpose/benefit of "Status"? There are four statuses: IP (In Process), FR (For Release), NC (Noncritical Change), and RE (Released).
If no status is assigned when a new specification is created, what status is it assigned to by default?
Can these statuses be used to drive workflow? i.e one person creating specification, at some point is it reviewed/finalized then set to Released status?
Thank you for helping answering this question.
    Javed.

    Hello Javed
Status on the level of the specification:
this is a "new" feature introduced in EH&S 2.7. Using this feature you can generate workflows etc. In principle this status can help you (as a company) in the data maintenance process. This is done per "usage" (and other objects). The "Status" is integrated into the report generation process as well if you have done a proper set up of the generation variants in use.
Like many of the EH&S "Status" there is a default "net" which can be enhanced by customer. Furthermore in doing so you need a good set up in the area of access rights later so that the process of maintenance is not disturbed.
You will find some help in the documentation of SAP:
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/en/a7/286c740a6c11d28a220000e829fbbd/frameset.htm
Topic "Specification Status" which is part of chapter Specification Management (EHS-BD-SPE).
Here you will find additionally some help regarding the delivered status and the process
    - Change Not Permitted
    - Generation Not Permitted
    - Editing Specification Statuses
The SAP documentation is useful as a starter.  We have done some investigations in using the "status" in the past. But it is quite complex so we are not using this feature.

  • Internal number ranges in EHS

    Hi,
For all number ranges in EHS I use Internal Number ranges. The current number range is:
    0I     000000000001     899999999999     255
Output of number range in specification workbench e.g. is: 000000000225.
Is it possible to use internal numbering without all the '00000' up front? (just like in Material Management)?
    Thanks.

  • Log user activity in Compliance Workbench.

    Hello,
Do you know if this is possible to log user activitiy in compliance workbench.
I would need to know which users are doing what, on which data in that transaction.
Does anybody already did/activated something like this?
    Is this customizing? or ???
Thanks in advance for your input.
    Regards,
    Rudy

    Hi Rudy,
in EHSM Product Compliance (3.0 upwards) there are change records which can be directly accessed via the Compliance Workbench ('You can also'->'Display change records').
As you tagged your question with tdagcpm00 I assume you are referring to the predecessor solution (PRC or CfP). As all objects in PRC and CfP are specifications you can switch on the change records in SAP EH&S and evaluate the changes in transaction CG02 (from hit list via 'Extras' -> 'Change Document Log').
More information on the change documents can be found here:
Creation of Change Documents for Specifications - Specification Management (EHS-BD-SPE) - SAP Library

  • Recipe workbench for packaging development purpose

    hi
i am looking for information about using recipe workbench for packaging development.

    Anand,
We have set up 20 different packaging specification types, each with its own property tree.  All of our current and in-development packaging is contained within RM.  You will want to use the specification workbench to manage your types and the properties you need to capture.
How RM interacts with other modules can be very complex.  There is an existing EHS/QM interface which can be used to create incoming inspection plans for receipt at a loading dock.  We weren't happy with the default and did some custom development to make the interface work better for us.
If you use RM for recipe development, you can use your packaging specifications as inputs and outputs to general and site recipes - there's a lot of configuration involved.  If you transform those recipes, then the packaging specifications will link to materials and appear in the master recipes.  Also, any QM data entered into those recipes will become part of the in-process inspection plan at the plant.
Another interface point is using Trial Management.  We have not activated this yet, but it can be used for managing any testing, including packaging development.  Stability studies may be useful as well.
Sorry to be so general, but I'm having a hard time figuring out exactly what information you need.  You may want to check the SAP OKP (online knowledge products) in Service Marketplace related to RM, as well as the standard documentation available.
    Keep me posted.

  • EHS MSDS Report status : Generation failed

    Hi all,
I have created a report (in CG02) and when I try to release I found the status is Generation failed. Unless the status is Gen. Successful, I cannot release the report.
I found no errors in report template and creation of Gen. variant.
Is it the problem with WWI server? or problem with IMG settings? I find Gen server is up and running. Issue is under high priority.
    Can someone help me?
    Regards,
    Srinivas Nookireddy

    Hi EHS Goeroes,
I think I have a simliar issue. I have done the following procedure and settings:
    a) Create MSDS report (CG42)
    b) Edit Generation Variant (CG2B)
    Settings:
(I have assigned my template to the Generation Variant)
    Generate manual request automatically: marked
    Change Marks: 0
    Initial release status: RE (released)
    Version requirement: unmarked
    Set historical automatically: unmarked
    c) EHS > Specification Workbench > Report from Template (to test the design - display is correct and all phrases can be found)
    d) EHS > Specification Workbench > Create new report
(report has been created succesfully and appears in Report Management).
    e) EHS > Specification Workbench > Report Management:
MSDS_29    Material Safety Data Sheet for China     World
Chinese          Not Relevant    Generation Poss. => generation possible.
Feedback affter clicking on Accept:  You tried to carry out action 'Accept' on a report with status GP. However, this action is not allowed for reports with this status.
Feedback after clicking on Generate: You tried to carry out action 'Generate' on a report with status GP. However, this action is not allowed for reports with this status.
    d) SE38 I have no jobs scheduled yet, so I run the following two programs to start the worklist manually, RC1AVGE1 and RC1AVGE2.
RC1AVGE1 - gave allot of feedback information regarding to changes and so on (first time I run it).
RC1AVGE2  - feedback: EHS: 'Worklist Generation for Reports - Selection for Check. - 0 reports to be checked were found'
From my understanding program RC1AVGE2 - should generate the MSDS.
    e) WWI - monitor display (CG5Z):
    100               @03\QNo background processes in client@     5     SBR     WWI-00000000000000000002     FREE     RMDERKS
    110               @03\QNo background processes in client@     5     SBR     WWI-00000000000000000063     FREE     A132645
    xxx     SV001     @5B\QWWI server is active@     @02\QNo background processes on WWI server@
    xxx     SV003     @5C\QWWI server is inactive@     @02\QNo background processes on WWI server@
I checked if I had any jobs running in the background or has been finished, but it seems like it goes wrong here, the system does not generate a job for the generation of the MSDS_29. To be able to get the status of MSDS_29 to RE (Released).
Does anybody has an idea what I do wrong, or which settings might be incorrect?
    Help is much appreciated!

  • Error in installing Workbench 8.2. Trial..

Trying to install the Lifecycle ES trial....Followed the recommendation to install Acrobat 9 Pro extended first... this worked...
Installing the Workbench produces the following error. This is after putting in the serial number...and the installer having produced an installshield dialog box with command line options, and having pressed next on the release notes agreement..
(Aug 7, 2008 10:18:52 AM), Install, com.adobe.installshieldx.installer.wizard.DesignerProductAction, err, An error occurred and product installation failed. Look at the log file J:\Program Files\Adobe\LiveCycle ES\Workbench ES\log.txt for details.

What does this mean ? and what if anything can I do about it...

I am facing the same problem. I have ensured that I have followed all the steps given in the installation mannual. This clearly indicates there is some thing wrong with the workbench installble (trail version). I do not know is it by design (intentionally done by Adobe it self). If it is so, its shame on Adobe.

  • Deployment Workbench - how to capture an image after customisation?

I have deployed Vista to a machine using WinPE (Created through Workbench) and chose the option when deploying "Prepare for capture"
I then customised Vista - in this case removing the Fax applications and ran Sysprep with OOBE, Generalise and Shutdown.
In workbench I created a new task sequence 'Standard Client Replace task sequence' which seems to be the right task to capture an image.
When selecting the task when booting the machine with WinPE, it forces me to capture the user data - I cannot select 'Do not save data and settings'
I must be doing something wrong!
What I want to do is:
    Deploy Vista
Install some apps manually i.e. not using a task sequence
    Capture the image
    Deploy to machines
How can I do this using Workbench? Thanks.

    Hi,
    Thank you for the reply.
I suggest referring to the following article:
    Creating a Computer Image
    http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb977918.aspx
If you select “Capture an image of this reference computer” on the “Specify whether to capture an image” page when running Deployment Wizard, it will sysprep and capture the system for you automatically.
    If you would like to
“Install Vista and prepare for capture
Install my own applications WITHOUT using task sequences
    Capture the OS”,
I am afraid that you do not need to use MDT (you cannot perform a LTI without running Task Sequences). You can do this by only using WDS.
    1.   Install and configure the WDS Server.
    2.   Add the default Windows Server 2008 boot image to the WDS Server.
    3.   Create Capture Boot Image and add it to boot image in WDS Server.
    4.  Create a reference computer (install the operating system, applications, and make any other changes)
    5.  Sysprep.
    6.  PXE boot the reference computer into capture image on the boot screen and then capture the image (If non-PXE supported, make a discover image to boot)
    7.  Upload the captured image to WDS server.
    8.  Clients can PXE boot and install Windows (If non-PXE supported, use a discover image to boot).
    Hope it helps.
