EDGE and HTML dynamic text in a "box" with scroll bar

I'm new to EDGE, a win7pro master collection cs5.5 suite owner. I'm mainly in the Film/Video post production field (mostly AE, PPro, Pshop, IA) but have been branching into web design the last couple of years. I use Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash. While I'm a expert user with all the Film/video apps, I would say I only have intermediate ability with the web apps. While I understand a lot of programing logic bulding blocks I'm not a coder.
So since we're told "flash is dead", my interest in Edge is to try to do some of the things that I can currently do in flash in EDGE. I was excited when Edge first came out but lost interest when it became obvious that Adobe was not going to offer Edge and Muse to "suite owners" but only in their force feeding of the "Cloud". Better known as the "golden goose" for adobe stockholders and a never ending perpetual hole in the pocket for users. Anyway....
I spent the last couple of days doing some of the tuts and messing with the UI. It's matured a lot since I was here last.
I've been working on a flash site for a sports team where one of the pages is a player profile page where college recuriters and other interested parties can view recuriting relavent info/stats about players. This is how it works. While on the "Team" page a users clicks on a button labled "Player Profiles" . (Animation) A "page" flies in and unfurls from the upper right corner (3d page flips effect created in AE played by flash as a frame SEQ). Once it lands filling most of the center of the screen there is a bright flash. As the brightness fades we see the "page" is a bordered box with a BG image of a ball field(End). (Animation) from behind the border in fly small pictures (player head shots with name and jersey number). They stream in and form a circle like a wagon train and the team logo zooms up from infinity to the center of the circle(End). As the user mouses over a player's pic it zooms up a little and gets brighter (like mouseover image nav thumbs for a image slider). If the user clicks on a player's head shot it flips over and scales up to become a text box with a scrollbar. The content of the box is a mix of images, static and dynamic text fields populated from data in an "player info data base" XML file, and some hyperlinks. It's all kept updated dynamicaly with current stats, info and images from the XML file. There is also a "PDF" button that allows the user to open/save/print a PDF of the player's profile (the PDF's are static files for now but the choice of which pdf to retrive is dynamicaly supplied via the XML file.
So.... Is Edge now able to do something like this? Would it need to be a collection of small animations? could these be "assembled" and connected as an asset in dreamweaver ?
I thought I would approach this from the end (ie click on an image and display a box with dynamic TEXT fileds. ) since that is the most important part, ie displaying the dynamicaly updated profile info. Sooooo....
Can Edge display a scrolling text box with Images, static text, and html dynamic text in it??

Why can't anyone else see my Edge Animate html files in their browsers?

I create this awesome file with bells and whistles and looks and runs great on mY computer and in mY browsers but when I send a client(s) the HTML file to view in their browser it NEVER works! Do I need to send them all the files? The image folder...the JS files and the HTML? I think I did that once and it still diodn't work...I understand that the browsers all dont play nice and that m os need to be updated on the client end but is there a good way to save the Animate file so that my clients can use the file to place in a website. I am creating small web ads.

Do you have a website? If yes, you can load all your files at the root level and then you can send the link to your clients.
It would go like this:
http://www.yourWebsiteName.com/yourEdgeFolderName
(I would name the edge files index rather than something else because most web server prefer that.)
You could also create an html file with all your samples and iframes to load them. Then you need to put each edge folder at the root of your website.

How to add links and rollovers from an exported Edge Reflow HTML in Dreamweaver?

Thanks to the very helpful community I have found the way to get my HTML file from Edge Reflow.
Upon opening the HTML file in Dreamweaver, the CSS, Java scripts are wonderfully linked. However, I am not experienced enought to manipulate the divs to get a rollover or add links to the layout.
Eg. Sticky Navigation bar on the top, how do you add rollovers and links?

your plan for Reflow sounds good. Versioning is probably the most adaptable way to integrate it with the rest of the workflow.
What I think is still missing, on the simple side, is link creation and management inside Reflow.
Of course, considering you have just introduced multiple pages, this feature shouldn't be far...
About Dreamweaver, I've been a faithful user for years but now it's definitely old for some uses.
Just to say, if I open the responsive page I just created in Reflow with DWCC in Live View, something basic as background gradients are completely missing. Well, I'm not going to use it for this kind of work.
Do you know for what DW is still a great tool? Email Newsletters, since they still have to respect old standards that no one else uses anymore.
For all the rest I definitely prefer the editor/IDE way: SublimeText and other tools.
They're faster, more apt to the task and, similarly to the Adobe Edge line of products, made with the same technologies they help to work with.
In the future, who knows... Maybe, you should put in development a "Dreamweaver Edge" version and drop the old one, a little clunky even if recently revarnished ;-)

Make Edge Animate Button scroll to anchor point on click

Hey everyone,
first: I don't know anything about code...
I am currently setting up a one-page website and want to work with animated buttons made in edge.
So far everythink is working great.
My problem is that if I use the click condition "open URL" this will bring me to the desired location on my page but it will ignore the nice scrolling animation and jump there right away.
What kind of function do I need to solve this?

Y en Firefox se ve Ok.
El problema es que en Explorer el scroll se aparece tanto
vertical y tambien
horizontal.
Yo deseo que no me aparezca horizontal, ¿hay forma de

El exe de captivate no reproduce animaciones edge

Las animacionesEdge importadas directamente a Captivate 8 no se reproducen en los ejecutables. Hice una animación con botones y un audio y sale en blanco el lugar de la animación. ¿Alguien sabe por qué?

El problema es que todo lo que lleve animaciones o interactividad de Flash, NO será compatible con sistema operativo de Apple, el OSX o iOS (en tabletas), asi como algunas versiones de navegadores web.
Flash no es una plataforma de creación muy completa y sus opciones de formatos de salida son limitados.
InDesign es una plataforma de creación muy completa, con múltiples y diversas opciones de salida, y posibilidad de incluir, en los formatos que lo soporten, interactividad, animaciones y multimedia.
Consulta la página de Indesign para familiarizarte con algunas de esas posibilidades:

De forma resumida puedes preparar una presentación como Powerpoint, usando páginas maestras. Tienes estilos de párrafo para aplicar formatos al texto, posibilidad de colocar y recortar imágenes, (+videos y sonido). Pueds crear botones con distintas acciones, hipervínculos que lleven a otra parte del documento u a otro o a la web,..., incluir o crear elementos animados con precisión temporal y diversos efectos, incluso crear pases de diapositivas, hay otras opciones más avanzadas para crear publicaciones digitales para tabletas.
Aunque no todo lo citado funcionará en todos los formatos, puedes a partir de tu documento, exportar a un PDF interactivo o no, SWF (flash) con animaciones e interactividad, EPUB, DPS (para tabletas) ...

HTML Scrolling not working on Phone and Tablet versions

Hi - I've created a website across the 3 different platforms. My client has requested a blog - I've used Tumblr - I inserted this HTML for it:

This HTML works on the desktop version but not on the Phone and Tablet version. Please can someone let me know where I have gone wrong??

How do you add Edge Animate to HTML Module using DotNetNuke (DNN)?

First off I'm new to the whole web design/coding/html/css/jquery/etc., and the program Edge Animate is amazing!
I have a site up using DNN and wanted to put what I created on Animate onto one of the pages. I added an HTML module and that's where I'm stuck.
I do not know where to get the complete code so it works, and I do not know where to upload the Animate files. When it comes to creating the thing, I can manage (by reading ALOT), but when it comes to implamenting I am just stumped.
Any idea?

There are four basic steps needed to embed an Edge Animate composition into an existing page:
Publish from Edge Animate. (This creates the necessary files to run the animation. Also, the code referenced in Step 2 and 3 below will be included in the .html file that Animate creates inside the publish/web folder, which you can just copy/paste.)
Add a <div> to the page that has the ID of Stage and the correct class name for your stage (i.e. the "Composition ID" for your project in Animate).
For example:

Include the Preload .js file and the default style in your page's header, within Edge Runtime HTML comments.
For example:

Make sure to upload all of the include files to your server in the appropriate relative locations. Elements do not show up in edge file but they do in HTML file; no errors occured

I am a senior in college working on building a website for a fictional company for a year-long thesis graphic design project. In my class last semester, I learned how to use Edge Animate and created an 11 page website without any trouble. I had always kept the files saved to my flash drive, and kept a backup on my personal laptop as well as on my external hard drive. There was also a backup of the files on a disc that I turned into my professor in mid-December. All of these files worked fine at the time.
In early January, I wanted to make changes to the website so I installed a trial version of Edge Animate on my laptop. When I opened any of the edge files from any of the backups, the stage was blank and the animations did not show up on the timeline. The elements of the website still show up in the Library but they are no longer arranged on the stage. When I got back to school at the end of January, I tried opening the files on the school computers and had the same problem. I asked my professor to try the file that was saved to the disc and he encountered the same issues on his computer. All of these computers are either iMacs or Macbook Pros.
I have not recieved any error messages and did not do anything to corrupt the files or save over them. I am able to open the html files in a browser with no issues; all animations and images work fine. The only change I can think of is that Edge may have been updated over break and when I installed the trial version I installed a newer version, and for some reason the new version of the program could not properly load my project that I started on a older version in October or November of 2013.
I am happy to upload the files but I am unsure how to do that. Please let me know if there is a way to resolve this issue, or will I have to start over?

Try to clear your preference and restart your Animate.See if that fixes your problem
