Hola/HI
Debido a las diferencias en los sistemas operativos esto no es posible, con el fin de ejecutar una aplicación independiente bajo el ambiente Linux debe generar el el código fuente bajo el ambiente Linux a través de LabVIEW para Linux
Due to the differences in the Operating Systems this isn't possible, in order to run a Stand-Alone application under the Linux environment you must build the source code under the Linux environment using LabVIEW for Linux.

  • Error installing NI TPC Service on a 3rd party windows XPe Based Touch Panel

    Hi,
First of all sorry for my English.
I'm having trouble when i try to install NI TPC SERVICE on a 3rd party Touch Panel that runs Windows XPe (Embedded).
I have tried lot of time. I'm installing the msi application for XPe from the folder "NI_TP_Service" of the Installation Path for LabVIEW 8.6 Touch Panel Module.
The installer file hungs after installing the service and just when it tries to initialize it and I get a Error Windows that says "Error 1920. Service 'NI TPC Service' (NITPCService) falied to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services."
I'm logged as Administrator, and I don't know what to do.
If anyone know what can i do I'll be pleased in hearing the answer.
    Regards

    Hi AlexDarsigny,
You will need either the Touch Panel Module or the Datalogging and Supervisory Control Module (DSC). Either of these modules will allow you to deploy and install NI software to your touch panel. They also include many other features for developing those applications. You will also need a deployment license for any non-NI touch panel that you plan on deploying the applications to. The other software needed on the touch panel itself will include the LabVIEW Run-Time Engine and the NI TPC Service. The following link has some information on this:
    http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371618H-01/lvxpe/tpc_install_tpc_srvc/
Once deployed, the program will run as a stand-alone application that can be started from the HMI itself. Of course this depends on the functionality you create within the application, just like you would for any standard LabVIEW application.

  • Connection touch panel avec cRIO

    Bonjour

  • LabVIEW Touch Panel -- I can not get activesync to connect between the TPC-2012 and my XP workstation. There is no USB client connection on TPC-2012

How do I get the TPC-2012 to connect to my workstation?  I have read all the hardware manuals, getting started manuals: nothing works.  The remote access using http://x.x.x.x/RemoteAdmin does not work.  I have tried to get the FTP service working using the instructions in "How do I configure the FTP server on tpc-2006 and TPC-2016" .  Active sync seems to want a USB connection only.  I have tried to connect a serial line between com1 on the TPC and com4 on my XP workstation with no results.
I have been able to use the touch panel module with my iPAQ. It worked flawlessly the first time.

    Hi David,
thank you once again for your help.
So when viewing your Local Area Connection>>Status
you're seeing data packets sent but no packets received on your desktop
    machine? - Yes
Is your desktop configured with a static IP address or is it
configured to obtain an IP address automatically?I' ve tried both static IP address and that it obtain IP address automatically, I have also done it with the TPC.
    Also, does your TPC
get a valid IP address when the connection to your desktop is present? - when TPC is set to obtain adress automatically it gets IP address and then after some time it loses it - it is set to 0.0.0.0, and then it obtains the IP adress again and so on.
Can you provide the address, subnet, and gateway you're getting for
both machines?- I've done it, but it didn'e help
Also any firewall settings or exceptions you may have
active if the firewall is enabled? - firewall is disabled
I'd also like to know what
modules and toolkits you do have installed on both the TPC - TPC is new and I haven't installed there anything.
On my desktop - I have standard Labview 8.2,the real time module is installed. All I know, there are already drivers for TPC2012 in this LabView version. On the included CD I have only drivers for another TPCs.
    Thanks,
    Martin

  • Labview Touch Panel Module can support Samsung S3C2440 cpu in wince ?

labview Touch Panel Module can support Samsung S3C2440 cpu in wince  ?

    Hi Mohammed,
Windows CE 6.0 is not officially supported by the Touch Panel Module (see this link for more info and what is supported). Other members on our forums (link) have tried working with CE 6.0 but since it isn't officially supported and you're still in the planning stage of your application, it might be better to choose a HMI that is directly supported.

  • TPC 2215, new touch panel does not run normal labview programs?

We recently bought a PC (PPC-2115, normal win-XP) from NI for an industrial application. Now we heard that that unit is discontinued soon, so repair service will be very limited. We want to change to another iPC. NI suggests TPC-2215 touch panel with windows-7 embedded. But then they say that we need a special Touch Panel license to make exe-files for this PC.
If this is true it makes the TPC 2215 a very bad choice for us. Both that we have to pay a new licence, but most that new introduce a new taget. The exe-file we make for the TPC-2215 cannot be run on any normal PC (during tests, as backup if the TPC needs service etc.). Since we already have a bunch of normal iPC (different brands, including NI) we have to compile every program twice, one for touch panel, and one for normal labview runtime.
So is it really true that a normal labview program "hello-world.exe" will not run on the new TPC-2215?
(sampe question would apply to TPC-2206 and TPC-2212)

I can now confirm that I can use our normal license to make normal windows executable files. So I am happy!
Only the disk is a little too small, but I heard that should be changed soon.

  • LabVIEW Touch Panel Reliability

    Hello,
We are looking to develop an Induatrial Controller similar to PLC with a WinCE operating system.  How reliable and practical is this approach?  We want to use Touch Panel module to develop applications and deploy on it.  The I/O will controlled through custom drivers, which will be accessed by touch panel through call library nodes.
    any input is appriciated.

    AE Charlie wrote:
    Good Morning Jaggs,
You can certainly implement a WinCE-only PLC-like system.  The entry level will be one of our Touch Panel Controllers (WinCE - TPC-2106 and TPC-2012, XPe - TPC-2512).  These do not have much processing power or many I/O options.
We also offer Panel PCs (PPC-2015 and PPC-2115).  These run Windows XP and are more similar to a PC than a touch panel but they have a built in touch screen.  Though they have the built-in screen, they are not overly rugged.
But remember that you have to pay a huge license fee each time ship software without the NI hardware mentioned by AE Charlie. That is if the software is developed by the Labview Touch Panel module. I do not remember the sum but it was almost as much as for a PC Real-Time desktop runtime license. In the RT case you have to pay for the RTOS. But this is not the case with Touch Panel Module. Talk about showstopper, and really stupid license policy. If you don not buy our NI hardware. We will hit you so hard in the wallet, that you change your mind. Besides the NI Touch Panel Controllers is just some OEM versions from a major manufacturer.
Besides which, my opinion is that Express VIs Carthage must be destroyed deleted
(Sorry no Labview "brag list" so far)

  • Labview TPC with Third part Touch panel Computer

    hi,
I have labview TPC module, i created executable file for windows CE 5.0  and build it. aftter i copy the exe file on the thirdparty Touch panel PC.
is it required to copy any other supporting file to run my application?,...
if you have any manuals send me.
    Regards,

I believe you don't require any other files unless you are using DAQmx Base, Shared Variables, NI TPC Service etc. in your application. Otherwise, it should work fine. Have a look at the following manual:

  • Menu Position on TPC-2012 (LabVIEW Touch Panel Module)

    Hi
Windows CE on the TPC 2012 places the menu on the top but the LabVIEW Touch Panel Module 8.2.1 places it at the bottom. I would expect that LabVIEW handles that the same way than the operating system?

  • LabVIEW Touch Panel Module for Linux

    Hi,
Does NI released Touch Panel Module for Linux?
    Thanks,
    Ali

    Hi Dennis,
Here is the article I read about LabVIEW Embedded Development Module. Page 1-1, "Taking Your Graphical Design to Any 32-Bit Microprocessor".
    http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/371233b.pdf
About the topic you are right. I have the VI on Windows XP. I converted it to WinCE 5.0 with LabVIEW Touch Panel Module and it works perfectly. I have LabVIEW for Linux and I converted the VI to Linux and it works on PC. Now, I want to convert it to Embedded Linux that works on ARM microcontroller.
I am looking for LabVIEW Touch Panel Module for Linux because the only supported platform for that is Windows.

  • Touch Panel Module or LabVIEW SDK

    Hello,
We can use Touch panel module to target Windows CE Boards and LabVIEW SDK to target any 32bit Processor boards (includes Linux Boards).  Which one is better for embedded development?
SDK is very expensive and probably hard to program than a Windows CE board.  Can anyone please let me know the best approach?  Please let me know if Linux is better or Windows CE.  I am looking to program any off the shelf I/O board which supports Windows CE or Linux, but want to get some guidance regarding the approach towards the LabVIEW software module and the Embedded OS approach before spending time.
    Thanks.

While the Touch Panel Module can technically connect to most Windows CE devices, it is actually made specifically for our NI Touch Panel devices.  Because of this, it is not supported for other devices and you may have unexpected behavior.  Your better bet (if possible) is to use Windows Mobile 6 on your device and then use the LabVIEW Mobile Module.  Also, I'm not sure how flexible your embedded solution is, but you also have the option to use the LabVIEW Embedded Module for ARM controllers.

  • Compact Field Point with Touch Panel

    Hi.
Have anyone designed a NI Compact Field Point or Compact RIO with a connected Touch Panel Monitor?
I have an instrument with RS232 output (serial data). Since I am using LabVIEW 8,
the executed application should run in Embedded WinXP. But, I need a touch panel for control and monitoring.
I would appreciate any advise please.
    Thanks in advance.
    Bon

    Hey Bon,
What kind of information are you looking for? NI sells a TPC 2006 device which is a touch panel and runs windows CE. This device can be programmed using LabVIEW PDA. This device has a Ethernet port so that you can also communicate to the cRIO or the cFP. Is this what you are looking to do? You can call in on (888) 280-7645 and a sales person would be able to understand your application much better and advise you accordingly.
