El sofware no actualiza 3gs

mi iphone al intentar actualizarlo al iOs 4.3.3 se termina de descargar y luego al comprovar el archivo me dice tiempo en espera sobrepasado y no me actualiza

Hice pruebas poniendo el Doctype en el "header" pero continua sin grabar el precio cuando ejecuto el DTW.
Cualquier otra recomendacion es bienvenida

Yo no se como ni por que, pero de repente de un dia para otro se ha resuelto y ya me aparece toda mi musica, y yo no toque ya nada mas, no lo se, es extraño.
Lo importante es que ya funciona, aunque por si solo se ha arreglado. Curioso.

La aplicaciones que compraste con la cuenta vieja solo podran ser actualizadas via la cuenta vieja. No hay manera de "fusionar" las dos cuentas.
Las aplicaciones (y canciones etc) estan atadas a la cuenta de la cual se ejecuto la compra.

That makes it difficult. My new (working) phone is a 4S and the SIM card does not fit. The old SIM card is in the 3GS but as far as I know it was was deactivated.
But it seems that with other updates over the last couple of years this was not necessary and my partner went through the same update with her 3GS with no problems.
Should I go to my AT&T dealer and purchase a new SIM card? Is there still a new one available?

Is it a must to unlock the iphone 3gs?

i just bought an iphone 3Gs. it seems that some applications are not functioning. do i need to buy the unlock sofware and unlock the iphone?. what are the functions of unlucking the iphone.

In the US it is a breach of the contract and warranty as the option to unlock the iPhone is not offered.
In all cases where unlocking is offered, you have to go through your provided (in the UK example here, O2) to unlock it, it is not directly done by Apple and they will not "publish" any method to do so.
You are correct, if someone has a legally unlocked iPhone they can get an AT&T SIM and use it here then move on to another location/country and change to that SIM. So if someone here was to go to Italy and purchase an unlocked iPhone they could bring it back here and use it on T-Mobile, with some technical limitations. Besides that downside the other downside is if you see a small crack developing around the headphone jack, or any other manufacturing defect, you are going to have to book a flight and hotel stay in Italy to get it serviced.

HT4972 Can IOS 5 run on an iPhone 3GS 16GB?

Hello iPhone Gurus:
I have an iPhone 3GS 16GB model MB048LL that I picked up from my sister that I want to reset with the latest IOS for my son's use. Presently the phone has version 4.2.1 (8C148) installed. When I connect the phone to iTunes 10.6.1.7 on my Windows XP laptop, and press the "check for update" button in the phone summary page, I receive the pop-up "The version of the iPhone sofware (4.2.1) is the current version." It seems like there's no way to force an upgrade to IOS 5.1.1.
I'm a bit confused by this as the Apple website it indicates that 5.x is available for the 3GS. Also, when I connect my 4S and my other son's GGS 32GB phone, both shows IOS 5.1.1.
Any ideas? Is there an issue with the model and/or the amount of memory that precludes using IOS 5 on this 3GS?

MB048LL appears to be an iPhone 3G, not a 3GS. Check the model number on the back of the iPhone; if it's A1241, then it is indeed an iPhone 3G. iOS 4.2.1 is the final version of iOS that the iPhone 3G can run.

Bloqueo iphone 3GS

Tengo un iphone 3GS, estaba actualizando la version del sofware que aparecio en itunes cuando conecte el iphone al computador, le di actualizar la version, salio un mensaje que no habia podido actualizarlo y se bloqueo el equipo.lLe di restaurar pero sale un mensaje que no se puede activar el iphone porque el servidor de activacion no esta disponible.
Que puedo hacer no se desbloquea

You aren't crazy.
Adding the photo to contacts on the computer gets you the smaller pix when people call.
Assign the photo on the phone itself and you get full-size pix.
Additionally I took a few test photos from the iphone and tried setting them to contacts. This didnt work either.
So, that certainly should work. Try it again? Try it with a brand new contact, maybe it is not overwriting a previously existing picture.
I suppose there is a small possibility that Apple thought this differing behavior was a bug instead of a feature and "fixed" it with a recent update, but I doubt it.

A mi me ocurrió lo mismo con 3Gs al actualizar a iOS 5. Esta actualización de iOS verifica el usuario, se supone que para evitar el uso de iPhones robados. El problema fue que previamente me habían cambiado el iPhone en una tienda Apple, y por error habían cambiado el número de serie que tengo asignado, y lo habían mezclado con el de un tio en EEUU, por lo que mi teléfono sólo era válido con el operador estadounidense AT&T.
Llama a Apple y que revisen esto, si es el mismo caso, reasignan el número de serie a tu Apple ID y en 24 horas te funcionará. Y a malas pide cita en la Genius Bar de una tienda Apple que te lo resuelven (esto si tienes la suerte de tener una cerca, yo vivo en Madrid y fui a ParqueSur).

I can't actualize my iPod Third Generation

I have a Third Generation iPod with iOS 4.2.1. When I try to actualize it vía iTunes, I receive a message like "Your sofware version is the actual version". It's impossible! I can't download some applications because when I try to do that, I receive a message like "This app requires iO3 4.3"

Same problem here.
I can't get any video out of my faithful iPhone 3GS running iOS 6.xx.
I have been browsing Apple discussions for solutions and most of them seem to point out to a faulty Video Composite cable. This is not my case.
I can rule that out 100%.
Old iPhone 3G running ios 3.1.2 works just fine as well as does iPhone 4, with the same cable.
I have tried with a friend's TV and cable and iPhone 3GS and we have identical issues.
(different cables and phones, same issue).
Please note all testing has been done with genuine Apple Video composite cables.
So this points out clearly to a iphone iOS issue combined with hardware.
It appears that starting from iOS > 5.0 video output has been disabled on earlier iPhone models prior to 4.
It would be nice if Apple could issue a Knowledge Base document on the issue as that would save many people further testing and waste of time.
This document http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4108? isn't really complete enough as it stops at iphone 4.
Has anybody the ultimate answer on this issue?
Are there any known work-arounds?
