ELearning Suite 2 missing Acrobat Pro on install

Hello,
I bought eLearning Suite 2 in January 2011. It stated that it included Acrobat 9 Pro.
I now need to use Acrobat Pro but it is not installed. I have tried to re-install eLearning Suite 2 but the Acrobat Pro product is not an option for install.
I did not get eLearning Suite 2 delivered on a DVD, I downloaded it.
Does anyone know how I can get Acrobat Pro as it should have been included in my purchase.
thanks,
Emily Lawrence

It probably was a separate installer that you never downloaded. Check your account or try this: Direct Download Links for Adobe Software.

  • Elearning suite and Acrobat Pro, the saga with Adobe continues

I just purchased 6.1 AFTER talking to sales about this specific issue of what version of Acrobat I would get with the 6.1 suite, and being assured that it would be Pro XI, and after spending about 6 hours over 2 days on both chat and the phone being bounces from person to person, I finally discovered that only Acrobat X was being packaged with the elearning suite 6.1.
I'm fit to be tied!  every time I have some question about an Adobe product, it takes days for resolve, and generally I have to figure it out myself, then I get the Adobe line, sorry we can't help.  If there was a competing suite, I'd drop Adobe in a flash.
Does anyone else have this type of problem?  Or am I an outlier?

If you did not receive Pro XI I suggest you contact Adobe support. They are advertising that Pro XI is included (http://www.adobe.com/products/elearningsuite.edu.html).

  • Getting Adobe Acrobat Pro to install in German

We have been unable to get the Adobe Acrobat Pro to install in German dispite selecting the specific download, and language settings, it simply has installed in English on our Switzerland users machine.
    Please advise on this.

Care to provide some screenshots of the install as well as the install logs perhaps? Also, what system language do you use or for that matter what systems actualyl to begin with? Installers fall back to the default language of the insatall package if they cannot detect the system language correctly and due to installer dependencies manual overrides may then not work and still wrong files be installed.

I don't know if this is the right section but I experience the following issue with Adobe Acrobat Pro XI installed on Windows 8.1. When I start Acrobat the related window opens normally but, after some scroll up and down along the document, it blocks, Acrobat doesn't respond to any command I can give and, in place of the pointer arrow, a vertical bar, as the one of the text editor appears. The only way I can stop Acrobat is by means of the task manager. I tried to de-install and the re- install Acrobat but the behaviour is always the same. What can I do??

Have you opened Acrobat and gone to Help>Updates to get an updated install?

  • I have Acrobat Pro 9 installed on Windows 8

I have Acrobat Pro 9 installed on Windows 8 and it asked me to download Adobe Reader 11.0.09 Font Packs - Asian and Extended Language Pack but it says I need Adobe Reader XI to be installed first.  Will this pack work with Acrobat Pro 9?  Is there a different pack for Acrobat Pro 9?  Thanks for any help.
Also: I am not doing anything with languages other than English.  I don't read them or write them.  I just use English. Why do I need such a pack?

    Hi Hanoch ,
Compatibility of Acrobat 9 with Windows 8 could be a reason that you are facing such an issue.
As Acrobat 9 is an older version ,that could be one of the reasons it is prompting you to download the Reader 11.0.09 Font Packs.
Would request you to check for an update first ,and if it fails try switching on to the latest version of Acrobat ,i.e 11.0.10.
    To check for Updates.
Launch Acrobat>Navigate to Help>Check for Updates.
You may also want to refer to the following link.

    See if that helps.

  • Why does acrobat reader 10 keep re-installing even though acrobat pro 11 installed

I have Acrobat Pro 11 installed, and even though I keep uninstalling (Windows 7, Programs and Features) Acrobat Reader 10, it keeps re-installing it.
How to I stop this from happening?

No, acrobat pro isn't doing it, it looks like updater is doing it.  It's as if updater still thinks acrobat reader 10 is installed and tries to update it for me.
And yes I am on a corporate network, but there are no 'AD policies' in place to install reader or update it.  And other users with Pro on their system don't have this issue.

  • Adobe Acrobate Pro re-Install

My old laptop, which had Adobe Acrobat Pro 9 installed, had a hard disk hard failure. I am trying to install from the original CD onto a new computer and the install has told me that I must deactivate on my old computer (which I cannot do because it is broken) so that I can install on my new computer. How do I proceed now?

  • Where is the plug in tab option in the upper menu bar when acrobat pro is installed on a mac

where is the plug in tab option in the upper menu bar when acrobat pro is installed on a mac

When Acrobat is installed first, it does not have a Plug-ins menu. When you buy extra plug-ins for Acrobat, some plug-ins will add a Plug-ins menu. Some won't - some will add other menus, or buttons, or something else.
    So
    1. Make sure you have purchased the Mac plug-in(s) you need.
    2. Make sure they are installed.
    3. Make sure they are compatible with your version of Acrobat; the Mac is much less forgiving about versions, you need to check carefully.
    4. If the plug-in is compatible and installed perhaps it doesn't add a plug-ins menu.

  • Adobe CS3 Suite -- How to Get InDesign and Acrobat Pro to Install?

I uninstalled and deactivated my Adobe CS3 Design Premium from my 1st gen Macbook (2006) and installed it on my 3rd gen Macbook Air (2011). When I installed CS3 using the original discs, InDesign and Acrobat did not install properly. How to fix?
    My questions:
    1. Got any ideas how to install InDesign and Acrobat Pro without uninstalling the whole CS3, running the cleaner tool, and reinstalling everything again? I tried to rerun the installer just for InDesign and Acrobat Pro but I got the same result -- no install.
    2. Installing CS3 takes forever -- at least several hours. Is it because I'm sending it over my wireless network? (I'm "sharing" the DVD drive on my other Macbook because my Air doesn't have one.)
    Thanks so much!!
(More background, in case it's useful -- before installing CS3, I had run the Adobe Creative Suite Cleaner Tool to clean up the mess I made when I tried to migrate CS3 using Mac's migration assistant. I learned, thanks to this forum, that I couldn't use the Migration Assistant tomove CS3. I also found that the unistaller didn't transfer, so I manually deleted folders and then used the cleaner. It worked wel enough to allow me to install everything but InDesign and Acrobat Pro.)

Thanks Jeff (and Manish). I'm all for better reliability and a quicker installation.
This may seem like a dumb question, but how do I properly copy the CS3 install files onto a USB? Drag and drop everythng from the CD? Can I not just copy the files onto my desktop and install from there? That is what I thought Manish suggested, to install from the desktop.
I had tried this method. After copying the install files to the desktop, here's what happened: I clicked the setup application and it opened, but it immediately detected that I had CS3 installed and wouldn't let me go any further. Perhaps that was due to other problems resulting from use of the Migration Assistant.
Previously, when I used the install disk on the shared drive, I was able to open the setup and install the couple of CS3 programs that weren't installed the first time around. That installation attempt failed and led me here to my original post.
    Many thanks!

  • Error installing eLearning suite on Win7 Pro 32bit

I couldn't find this specific problem previously discussed.
I just received a Dell tablet with Win 7 Pro 32 bit. When I try to install the eLearning Suite i get an error stating that the machine does not meet min reguirements, that I need Win XP with Service Pack 2 or higher or Win Vista with Service Pack 1 or higher with a quite and continue button. I'm hesistant to click continue. Is there something I should do to stop this message prior to attempting the install?
    Bill

It turns out that the problem was I downloaded the files via Google Chrome. I tried both the Akaimi and the alternate files, and neither worked.
When I downloaded the alternate files via Firefox, they worked first time. No further tinkering required.
Thank you for your help, Mylenium. Have a lovely weekend.

  • CS2 non authentication missing Acrobat Pro and Go Live

After buying a new iMac and installing the CS4 that I purchased in December 2009 and have been running on my MacBook Pro since spring of 2010, I did an erase and install on my older G5 iMac, Tiger, 10.4.11. I installed my old CS2 and then painfully learned about the non-existent authentication server. I followed the web instructions for uninstalling CS2, and then downloaded your version of CS2 that doesn't require authentication. It is missing Acrobat Professional and Go Live, presumably in the missing 6th or 7th download. Although I do not use Go Live, I do indeed use Acrobat and I feel cheated. I am not expecting Adobe to "Update" or "Support" old applications forever, but I don't consider my ability (or inability) to install MY licensed discs onto MY old iMac as "support". If you'd like to make me happy, here are three possibilities: Best--find a way of allowing me to authenticate MY software, after I once again spend several more hours re-installing (GRRRR). Second Best---allow me to install my more recent CS4 onto my eight year old iMac, even though that would constitute a third usage, as it's already installed on my new Lion machine and my three year old laptop. Will CS4 even work with my old G5? Least desirable---give me a copy of a stand alone Acrobat Professional that will work on my old G5, given that Photoshop and Illustrator are already installed on it as part of your "no authentication needed" download. I have the discs, cases, serial numbers, and receipts for both my CS2 and my CS4. I have placed two phone numbers in my user profile. Thanks, Harvey

  • Acrobat Pro XI installed but wouldn't run.

Acrobat Pro XI recently installed itself alongside X.  When I first opened XI it opened Application Manager and prompted me to accept the terms and conditions--except the terms and conditions were not shown and clicking "ACCEPT" did nothing.  Acrobat XI then crashed.  I attempted uninstalling X and XI in order to reinstall XI--but Application Manager viewed it as still installed.  I looked up this problem and found the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool: downloaded and ran it then restarted my computer.  Application Manager is still seeing Acrobat XI as being installed--but it does not appear in the list when attempting to run Creative Suite Cleaner again.  Currently stuck without any version Acrobat and need it asap...

These steps should fix your problem:
Run the uninstaller by double-clicking the Adobe Acrobat XI Pro link in the folder Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers.
Run the Adobe Cleaner Tool again to see if anything from Acrobat remains.
Relaunch the Adobe Application Manager (AAM) either from the shortcut in the Applications folder, or from clicking the Download link for Acrobat on the Creative Cloud Apps page https://creative.adobe.com/apps.
Hopefully you will not see the blank end-user-license-agreement (EULA) screen again. But if you do this is a known issue.
Fix described here: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/known-issues-acrobat-xi-reader.html (see Blank EULA screen)
"Blank EULA screen. Problem: Mac OS only. On launch, a blank EULA screen appears, which cannot be accepted, and Acrobat does not run. This problem can appear if you have any products installed from CCM or from Creative Suite, and you tried installing Acrobat XI from a different source.
Workaround: Launch any other product which is part of the CCM or Creative suite. Then, deactivate it by choosing Help > Deactivate. Quit the application. Then, launch Acrobat and accept the EULA. Then, for the CCM subscription product, launch it and select License This Software to enable the CCM product again. If a CS application, launch it and reactivate it. [3338419]"
