Elearning Suite -- Application Manager -- Presenter missing

I am using the application manager tool provided by Adobe to create an Enterprise deployment for eLearning 2.0.  During the wizard, it asks you which applications you want to include in your installation and I include everything (this includes presenter).
This leaves us with 2 source folders:  The payloads folder and the exceptions folder.
The payloads folder contains all of the applications that will be handled in the MSI that is built by the application manager, the exceptions folder contains all of the "other" installations that you can handle with cmd line.
Everything works great, except, Presenter does not install.  It is completely missing.  There is nothing in the logfile that shows any error or failure (all return code 1, which in Adobe lingidy means AOK).  The only descrepency that I have been able to observe so far is that the source files = 5gb in size when I extract the source from the cd.  After I point the application manager to the source and run the wizard, it extracts 3.5gb in source.  I understand there maybe a few extraoneous items in source that may account for additional languages and whatnot, but cutting out 1.5gb seems to be an aweful lot.
Should I be using application manager with the eLearning suite?
Does eLearning 2.0 fall under the CS5 umbrella of suites?
Can anyone provide me with things I could be looking at to help troubleshoot this issue, or provide a solution?
Thank you for your time!
I will try to answer some questions that may arise:
-- Presenter does not appear in the exeptions folder, add/remove programs, in c:\Program Files
-- I attempted to run the application manager with only Presenter selected, it still does not install
-- I attempted to run application manager with everything but Presenter selected, it still does not show in the exeptions folder
-- I opened the MSI that was built by application manager to see if presenter existed in the table, it does not, nor does any other application that would get installed in the suite

Hello,
Which version of MS Office do you use? If it is 2010, Presenter is not compatible with that version. And Presenter is not a standalone app, it installs as a plugin on Powerpoint. Did you check PPT?

I own an iMac 2011. I am unable to reinstall and launch premiere pro cc. We I attempt to run the program I get a error message saying that the adobe application manager is missing or need to be updated. I reinstalled the manager but I am still unable to launch any of my programs from adobe. I tried to do a trail with a program and I am still getting the same message.

Davinci thank you for the update.
Please utilize any available uninstallers that are located in the Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers folder.  Once all of the available uninstallers have been run you will then want to rerun the CC Cleaner Tool.  You can find directions on the use of the CC Cleaner Tool and a download link at Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.  After the CC Cleaner Tool is run then please reinstall the Creative Cloud Desktop application from Creative Cloud Help | Creative Cloud for desktop.
The CC Cleaner Tool is designed to be used after running the uninstallers.  Without running the uninstallers first then a complete removal may not be possible.

I just bought a new iMac and used the Migration Assistant to transfer my files. For my personal use, I did not a need to join Creative Cloud. Have you any suggestions for a work-around?

  • Application Manager Synched Missing Font

Application manager shows font FF Market is synched but it is not avialable in any of the following programs in looked in:
Photoshop, InDesign, Muse, or in my word processor Pages.

    The Tetrikus-ch,
The first thing that comes to mind would be some kind of system maintenance/optimization, anti-virus, or system backup software.
Are you using anything like that in between reinstalling the Application Manager?

  • Application manager is missing some apps, after effects, premeire pro and others

title says it all , is this a bug or something
I need to get after effects on my machine but I cant??

If they don't show up, then your system doesn't support them. All video apps require a 64bit operating system. Refer to the Tech Specs on teh product pages.

  • ELearning Suite and Creative Cloud?

Hello, I am user of eLearning Suite 6.
I have one question - will be Adobe Captivate and Adobe Presenter a parts of Creative Cloud? The reason of my question is - because all products from Creative Suites Families was completely included to Creative Cloud. But central apps from Elearning Suite - Captivate and Presenter - no! Why?
Second question - for new CC versions will be available also some extensions for elearning development (Flash learning Interaction, CourseBuilder, SCORM packager and other special parts od eLearning Suite)?
    Thanks for responding
    Yarik

And just to update as NOW (May 7, 2013)... not only does Captivate & eLearning NOT part of Creative Cloud, but if you want to update your Capitvate 6.1, you can only do so IF you have a Captivate subscription or ASA account.
Whoa be to you if you actually BOUGHT eLearning Suite 6 in the past year or so.

  • Adobe Application Manager installer failed to initialize

    hello ~
After upgrading to CS5.5 i realize the application manager is missing and is needed for all auto updating. I downloaded Application Managger 2.0 but it won't install. Every time i try to install and get error message "Installer failed to intitialize." This is very frustrating.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

After trying to uninstall my CS5.5, and this is what i conclude: Adobe has been in the software business over 20 years, and i'm astounded the software engineers didn't get this one part right
Apparently Cleaner app didn't really "clean" out all the CS files from my drive because after re-installation, Adobe App Manager is still missing or not working correctly. So I tried using the Uninstaller (part of CS), and that didn't work either because the error message says it needs AMM to run!
CS5.5 needs AMM to for self updating. AMM is not working because it needs re-installing. Uninstall app itself doesn't work because it needs AMM to run. The interdependcy of the CS apps is resulted in loop of problems that you can't get out of. This is just plain ridiculous.
Any product manager here can figure this out?

  • CS6 Application manager prompted for an update.

I started the update but it went into an endless loop. Ended up restarting the Win 7 pc. Now the icon shows as Creative Cloud not Application Manager. We did not subscribe to CC. Programs seem to be working albeit the printing seems to be slow. How do I get back to the old icon? Do I really need to get back to the old icon?

    Jeff
In your last email you said that we should remove the Creative software, did you mean Creative Cloud, CS6 or both?
I deleted the Creative Cloud program that I found. CS6 Standard is also listed and so far I have not tried to remove it. I am hesitant to remove it and re-install, concerned that a setting will be missed or some old files will be hard to find.
At this point the user is able to get into and use all his CS6 programs, the program Application Manager is missing but he tells me that he never used it and really does not know what it did. Is there a way to just install Application manager?
Anyway, if we have to re-install we will but I just really want to be sure that it is necessary.

  • Presenter 8 Missing from eLearning Suite CS6 Install

After installing Adobe eLearning Suite CS6, I have a folder under startup with that name. See below for what programs are installed.. I am assuming that the Presenter Video Creator is an additional portion of the program.  Can anyone tell me where that application is located after install?
    Thanks

    Hi,
I was unable to understand your question correctly. "Can anyone tell me where that application is located after install? " Did you mean you want to know the location(where the file is located in your hard drive) of Presenter Video Creator ? You can also refer to this link(ensure you change the "show me" section from "new" to "all").
    Thanks

  • Adobe Application Manager Packaging eLearning 6

When I packaged eLearning 6 using AAMEE 3.1 and then attempt to install eLearning 6, it installs and then automatically uninstalls itself.   I downloaded eLearning 6 directly from the Adobe licensing website and trying to package the software for silent installs in my company.  I've also tried using Adobe Creative Cloud packager and that is missing applications.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you

Thank you.  Your suggestion resolved the issue.  Very much appreciated.  I've been fighting with this package for months.
You have to follow below steps:-
1- Create 64 bit package using AAMEE 3.1.
2- When you reached to Options Window where all the applications listed which are included in suite :-  Select Adobe Presenter 8 then on right hand side under Adobe presenter 8 components > Uncheck Adobe Presenter 8 (64 Bit ) , only Adobe Presenter assets and Adobe Presenter 8 needs to be checked.
3- Click Next > Next and Build the msi Package.
Then try to deploy it and see if it works or not.

  • Application Manager: Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to a missing file (Mac)

I would like to install the trial version of Creative Suite 6. I was able to download the .dmg file, but when I run the installation I keep getting the following message:
Installation Failed. Installer failed to initialize. This could be due to a missing file.
    More troubleshooting tips:
    1. Restart your computer.
    2. Exit all applications including startup items, virus checking and firewall software.
    3. Launch the installer and reinstall your applications.
I downloaded the Adobe Download Assistant program, Adobe Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool, Adobe Support Advisor, and a recent version of the Application Manager. Yet I keep getting the same error message. I downloaded the program twice already. Nothing seems to be working. Can someone please help me solve this problem?

Thank you for replying Mylenium. I found a list of system requirements: http://www.creativebloq.com/general/adobe-cs6-system-requirements-1233361
The following is some information about my Mac's:
    MacBook
Mac OS X v10.6.8 Snow Leaopard
    Itel Core Duo (32-Bit)
    1GB of RAM
    iMac
Mac OS X v10.6.8 Snow Leaopard
    Itel Core Duo (32-Bit)
    2GB of RAM
I have old computers but they still work just fine. I assume I won't be able to install CS6 in my MacBook, but could I install it in my iMac? Is Firefox browser okay?
It's disappointing that nowadays we constantly need to purchase new devices to correspond with new software when older devices still work just fine.

Any one know why I get the message below after I bought new iMac and migrated everything to the new machine via time machine backup?

  • Application Manager fails to initialize (Technical Communication Suite 4)

I am going round and round in circles with this problem, and am unable to find any help specific to Technical Communication Suite (although I feel it's probably the same problem as reported for the Creative Suite software mentioned elsewhere).
When Application Manager launches, it finds a whole raft of updates for Tech Comm Suite 4. Then says the first thing it has to do is update itself... but this fails with an extremely unhelpful error message:
    "Adobe Application Manager
Some internal error occured during installation. Error Code: U49M1P1"
I've downloaded the FrameMaker 11 patch manually, but unless I'm missing something the Captivate one just directs me to use the Application Manager!
Another suggestion is tho use Adobe Support Advisor - but it's own blurb says it relates to Tech Comm Suite 3...and I have absolutely no idea HOW I'm supposed to use it once I've switched off the automatic stuff (which says there are no problems)! And again, it directs me to customer support...
I'm using Windows 7 32-bit with 3GB of RAM; Tech Comm Suite 4.
Just in case it's relevant, had an issue installing one component of the suite as had previously (a few months ago) had a trial of the software on this machine. Took an hour of chat with someone remotely taking control to install it.
I also do have FM9 installed on this machine, and (running on a VM) Captivate 3 and FM 7.2. I'm hoping I don't have to lose all of these as I will also lose the corresponding clients!
Do I really need to uninstall all Adobe software?
    Alison

    Dear Alison,
Apparently a network adapter named "Microsoft Virtual WiFi Miniport Adapter" is preventing Adobe Application Manager from reaching Adobe update servers.
I found a document on the internet explaining what to do:
    http://dasongoh.blogspot.nl/2011/12/how-to-fix-adobe-application-manager.html
    Hope it helps.
