To whom it may concern: Being an older guy, and just recently having been given an 80 gig ipod for christmas...i ripped my entire cd collection to i tunes and promptly put those bad boys in storage. My question is: I have approximately 300 albums....and i know there are many manufacturers of USB turntables out there, is it possible to rip albums to music files on a windows xp system...and then convert those files to be compatible with my ipod? I only ask this because i am about to purchase such a device to at least get them to some type of music files...and i would like to put those on my ipod (rather than some other type of mp3 player). Cmon...we're talkin the entire Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Led Zepelin, etc...etc, you get the idea. Why should i have to buy all that again??

Yes, you don't even need any extra kit provided your stereo has line out (or a headphone socket at a push) & your PC has line in. Grab a copy of Audacity and off you go. Connect the kit, record what you play, then have fun chopping it up into individual tracks & sorting all the tags out. If you save the final tracks as mp3's they'll play on your iPod and just about anything else. I did the same with some of my rarer vinyl and some old live concerts I had on tape, but it takes time to do so my bet is you won't get around to all 300....

There is no "version" of iTunes that let's you download artwork without an account. However, it's simple to search online for the artwork by using the album name. Amazon is a good place to start.
Simply copy the artwork and paste it into iTunes by selecting the complete albuum and clicking File/Get Info and pasting into the artwork box. I usually use pictures that are 300x300 pixels.

If your country's iTunes Store allows you to redownload purchased tracks, I'd delete your current copies of the dodgy tracks and try redownloading fresh copies. For instructions, see the following document:

Otherwise, I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the items that are not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the items, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" links next to the items.

Need help finding an album on itunes

found an album earlier on but cannot relocate it. I want to download a couple songs from it. if anyone can help find it again...please do. it is a compilation album with kelis, britney spears and other on it and one word in the name of the album was **** or *****. it has slave for you, milkshake, and other explicit songs......thanks in advance.

If such a compilation was ever on the US iTunes Store, it doesn't appear that it's there any more. Are you sure you saw it on the iTunes Store? For that matter, I can't even find such a compilation by doing a general web search, though I could have easily just not found it.

I would be concerned too if the songs I purchased from iTunes were not downloading to my iPhone. You have taken some great troubleshooting steps already, and thank you for providing the details of the steps you too. I have a few additional suggestions to get it downloaded to your iPhone.
First, I recommend checking to see if the download was interrupted:
If your download was interrupted using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
From the Home screen, tap the iTunes app.
For iPhone or iPod touch, tap More > Downloads. For iPad, tap Downloads.
Enter your account name and password if prompted.
Tap the blue download arrow to resume.

If the songs still do not download, next I recommend downloading the songs when connected to another network. For example, if you are using the cellular network, you could switch to Wi-Fi, or you could try an alternate Wi-Fi network. Get Info for Multiple Albums message (but only one was selected)

Please can someone help? I was so full of hope when moving from Windows to the Mac but my hope is rapidly turning to despair.
I have spent several hours putting many of my favourite music CDs into iTunes. All was going well, but suddenly when accessing the “Get Info” of a particular album in order to add Artwork I got a message like “Are you sure you want to get the information of MULTIPLE items” (my emphasis). (The error message may not be word perfect because I clicked the “don't show again” box and haven't seen it since.)
But the point is that I definitely did NOT have multiple items selected. There is nothing I can now do to select “Get Info” for a single album, and as a consequence I will never be able to add Artwork again when necessary.
I looked through the Internet and found references to the com.apple.itunes.plist. However although I can see this using Terminal I cannot find it using Finder! (Why not?)
What on earth is going on? This is no better than Windows, and in fact rather worse: I tried to delete iTunes, since it is obviously corrupted in some obscure way, with a view to re-installing it. But I can't even do that because it is “needed by Mac Os x”!!
Please can you help?

You still can get info for multiple items. Checking the Don't show this again box simply stops iTunes from telling you that you have selected multiple items. It will still get info and edit the info for multiple items.

Because by default, Finder searches do not show system files.
But the "problems" you are experiencing are not really problems (just not knowing how it works) and you don't need to mess with that file.

Help needed when uploading albums to iTunes

Hi (I may have just put this same post on the wrong forum):
I often upload my CD's into iTunes, but sometimes all the songs don't appear together on the same album. Its always the song by the artist, featuring another artist, eg. "Foxy Brown featuring Method Man" - these songs appear on iTunes seperate from the album, which they should be in.
How can I get these tracks to appear in the correct albums? Can I do it after they are in itunes or do I need to delete the album and upload it again, but differently?

Concentrate on one album at a time.
Find and highlight the song with the guest artist.
Then select File/Get Info/Info and cut the featured artist from the album's artist box and paste it into the song's title box after the song title. So now, it reads as "<song title> feat. <guest artist>". (Don't forget to cut the space after the artist name and before the featured artist name.)
Repeat this for each song with a guest artist.
Now, each song on the album should be left with only the main artist in the artist box. Then the album will group as one album.
Alternatively, for an even quicker method;
Highlight the complete album
File/Get Info/Info>Artist and type in the one artist that you want for that album.
You will of course, end up without a note of the guest artist on any of those songs.

Digital booklet hasn't download with album.

I bought an album today with digital booklet. Info was to get the booklet i have to buy full album. I did but there is any digital booklet. Is there anybody to help me with this problem.

Artist info, track number, album title won't show up in iTunes

When I view the songs in explorer, I am able to see the info, but not in iTunes. When I am in iTunes and click on "get info" the ID3 tags are showing as v2.3 and only the track title is showing. When I "add folder to library" and the little progress window appears, it never shows "converting ID3..."
The same files opened in WMP all have complete info including track title, track number, album title.
The same folder is doing this on 2 different computers. We are talking about a huge amount of songs to have to update manually (total of 2.6G from this artist).
How can I get iTunes to show this info?
Troubleshooting info...I deleted a different album from iTunes, then re-added it to my library with no problems, so I am reluctant to blame the program. I'm thinking it is the files/folder. I kind of eliminated that with the attempt on the other computer.

Carey's reply only speaks to the technical aspects of installing a dual boot environment. It says nothing about licensing which is what I think you are asking about. I do not believe that you can purchase a Windows 8.1 License and apply it to a
Windows XP install. You need to enter in the Product Key when the OS is installed and I seriously doubt that the XP install will accept the 8.1 Key. If you don't have a 4th key for XP you won't be able to have a legal copy installed.

Error while navigating planning 9.3.1 through workspace/ need info on cpx,

Hey I installed the planning 9.3.1 and also I created the application name, using planning address. but the problem is I am unable to navigate through workspace. I am getting three dialog boxes....
" invalid or could not find module configuration"
"Required application module hyperioin planning app wizard is not configured.please contact your administrator"
" Communication error"
I'm able to see the application name in projects of shared services. Can any one face the same situation , and also I need info regarding how to initialize modules of capx and wfp.

If you did a standard install then it should be running on port 19000 as well.
I take it workspace is working fine on port 19000

^ this will be your workspace servername..
When you run the configuration utility for Reporting and Analysis and the section "Configure Web Server", this is where you set up the Apache Server for workspace, there is an option for "Planning", this should be ticked and the correct planning server entered as it will default to the workspace server.
The apache server redirects requests on the standard workspace port 19000 to the correct server and port, so for planning it redirects to the planning server and port 8300.

For SAP FS-CD project, We want to post data into CD by generating the IDOC through LSMW in Delayed Status (With out posting) and will be posted using Mass Run FKK_EBS_TOI_COPA.
What is the standard process of posting throguh IDOC. when i post through IDOC will they be posted with delayed status ( withour real postings). Do we have to run Mass Run FKK_EBS_TOI_COPA for real postings.
I need to know the relevant events for Mass Run FKK_EBS_TOI_COPA.
Also i need info on how to track errors on the below; Is there any way where we can track errors on the below
1)      LSMW Data Read/Convert
2)       IDOC generation with error Status

IDOC generation with error Status --> You can use the WE05 transaction,   in this transaction you will see the error description and you can fixe!
FKK_EBS_TOI_COPA Mass run SLG1 log --> In SLG1 you will see only the error after the IDOC processing.... in this case you alredy have the DOCUMENT (FPE1) Struture... and you can see any error at the document creation... but not on the IDOC processing.
WE19 you can use for creat any IDOC test you need...
