Element description in Flexible performance appraisal by using Column layout

Hi Experts,
We are on EHP6 and created appraisal template by using OSA. We have chosen Column layout as per the client requirement but element description looks weird on portal as it doesn't occupy full space please see the portal screenshot

Flexible Performance appraisal integration with LSO

Dear All,
We are trying to upgrade ourHR system to ECC6 EHP5 and bring in the flexible appraisals. We are also bring in LSO. I need to integrate these two modules so that the Training catalog can be available in the Appraisal form and courses can be prebooked from the appraisal by the supervisor.
Can anyone let me know how this can be done ?

Hello,
You can assign a course as a planning station to the appraisal but the LSO integration doesn't book a course automatically. So you can't prebook a training from the appraisal.
When adding a course type to the appraisal document, a mandatory assignment is made in the employee's learning portal. The employee is then able to log into the portal to view the mandatory assignments and entroll for a course. But this is only possible if you use SAP Enterprise Learning (LSO 602 + Virtual Learning Room -> BF HCM_LSO_VLR).
If that is active you can add a course from LSO via free enhancment in PHAP_CATALOG.

Now I'm looking bottleneck in our queries.

Duration execution this query(Query end):

Max loss on Calculate Non empty event - 95%.
After some operations I found bottleneck in 2 measures: [Measures].[Weight], [Measures].[Price CR]
If them deleted from query then duration execution equals 50.
In our cube measure [Measures].[Weight] override in calculation as:
scope([Measures].[Weight]);
This = iif((round([Measures].[Weight], 3)<>0), round([Measures].[Weight], 3), null);
end scope;
But if I change code as
scope([Measures].[Weight]);
This = [Measures].[Weight];
end scope;
Performance query does not improve...
If delete this override from calculation in cube. I get good performance acceptable to me.
We need to keep the business logic and get acceptable performance.
What wrong in measures, calculations or query? Any ideas?

According to your description, you get performance issue when using SCOPE() statement. Right?
In Analysis Services, when using SCOPE() statement, it redefines that part of your cube space while the calculated member is much more isolated. In this scenario, I suggest you directly create a measure. Because calculated measure only returns values
where the amounts are recorded directly to the parent without including children values.

Hiding elements in flexible performance management

Dear Experts,
We're on EHP4 and using Flexible performance management. I would like to hide certain elements based on the sub-status of the appraisal document. Currently, I am able to hide the columns associated with these elements by modifying the values in the parameter 'T_BODY_CELLS' ( created an implementation of BADI HRHAP00_VAL_DET) . However, I am unable to hide the description of these elements as it is stored in the parameter T_BODY_ELEMENTS which is not a part of the export/changing parameter of this BADI.
Is there any BADI or any other way in which I can hide the values present in T_BODY_ELEMENTS based on the sub-status?

Implementing Performance appraisal in ESS.

Dear Experts,
we are using EP 7.0 with ESS 1.0. now our client wants to implement performance appraisal through ESS. Can any body give a detailed information how to proceed further and system information of HCM too.

You first have to know whether you will use the predefined or flexible performance process. The iViews for the predefined process are available in the default ESS role. If you use the flexible, you should modify the portal config and OBN navigation.

Flexible Performance-Error in creation of corporate goals!

We are facing a problem, where an error ( u201CEntered dates must be in the current yearu2019 ) is thrown by system while creating Goals spanning two years i.e. our Appraisal Year is from 01.03.2011 to 30.04.2012. Hence we want to create goals for period starting from 01.03.2011 to 30.04.2012.
Please help, how to resolve this error.

For the flexible performance there is the enhancement implementation HRHAP00GOAL_PERIOD_GEN to check specific for the goal creation.
It has the following methods:
IF_HAP_GOAL_PERIOD~PERIOD_DEFAULTING     Default the validity period for goals/cascading/rating
IF_HAP_GOAL_PERIOD~PERIOD_CHECKING     Check the entered validity period for goals/cascading/rating
IF_HAP_GOAL_PERIOD~PERIOD_VISIBILITY     Determine whether the period can be changed by the user
You would need to change the implementation class. The standard is CL_HAP_GOAL_PERIOD_GEN.

Adding a box in Portal for Performance appraisal template

Dear Experts,
We have already released a performance appraisal template and its in production use for a while now.
Now, client wants to add 1 box titled 'Managers comment'. Since its already released template I cant make changes in it and add a criteria in the form of 'Managers Comment'. What is the solution? Is there a way by which we can make this box appear in portal through coding? This change is required in a template which is in use. We cant create a new template.
I know there is a note to make changes to released appraisal template but as its risky I dont want to use it.
Please advise.

Performance Appraisal: Automatic updation in case of Manager's Transfer

Dear All,
In performance appraisal Manager(n) is Appraiser and Manager's Manager(n1) is included as further participant so that he can view appraisals of all employees who indirectly report to him. Now whenever this higher Manager (n1) is transferred new manager coming in can not view appraisals of his new department automatically. To enable this we update this further participant list manually of all old appraisal forms of his employees. Is there a way to do this automatically as such cases are quite a few and doing this manually is very time consuming.

i havent seen any automatic update
in general if an employee changes the manager, the old manager
should be replaced in the document as well by the new manager to get
access to the entire document.
I would suggets to replace the appraiser in the documnet e.g. by
transaction PHAP_ADMIN so that the new manager sees the entire
document.
scenarios could be
solved using BAdI HRHAP00_ACC_HEADER. It'll enable you to change the
appraiser of the created appraisal documents when manager has been
changed.

Cost Element Description in PCA Report Group P&L

Hello,
You can use SARP for display mode
Tree PCA1
In the first coloumn (number and description) instead of cost element description, cost element number appears again like this:
600000 006000000 (wrong)
600000 Sales Income (correct)
Choose report:
ZPCA0002 P&L A3 group and the choose Report Group P&L (ZPCA0003)
During execution of report ZPCA0003 (library -8A2, Report Group ZPC2), cost center description is not appearing instead same cost element number is appearing.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

ZPCA0002 is not a standard report.
When you report writer (painter) you can define what you see in the collumn
Offen it is possible to when you run the report and change by the menu path the settings from the report

Performance Appraisal Rating Scale.

Want to know that is there any place where we can define the year relevance for the Rating Scales and Rating scale text ? My client want some changes in Rating scale text for 2010 Appraisal and this changes should not effect previous appraisal document. I know oohap_value_type is for Rating scale.

Hi SP,
Once u define your Rating scale in SPRO->PM->PD->Appraisal systems-> Define Scales, goto your appraisal template using transaction code PHAP_catalog_pa or OOAM.
At the category level, goto tab Value List and select the newly defined rating scale.
Now the new rating scale will also be available for you to use for elements in the appraisal template

It should be explicitly hidden for Portal through a BADI HRHAP00_COL_ACCESS which has to be called in the BSP HAP_documnet only then it will be hidden.

No template found creating Tabs and Processes in HR Flexible Performance UI

Dear Experts
We will be using EHP4 Flexible Performance UI.
I have created the sample performance template in PHAP_CATALOG and have transported this to our DEV playpen client.
Within the config Master client I want to configure the u201CDefine Tabs and Process Configuration for Templateu2019 IMG node and after I log in it takes me to the web dynpro screen u201CWeb dynpro ABAP configuration for Appraisalsu201D, I get the error u201CNo template foundu201D.
When I check the Help it says 1) to check the template has been created and 2) that the template has been released
I checked and the template does exist in PHAP_CATALOG and has been released.
Has anyone encountered this problem and has a way to fix this?

Yes the template has been definitely released.
Yes Iu2019m using the same user to create the template and trying to do the process tabs u2013 I have SAP ALL Access.
Also, when I transport this template from the DEV master client - to a DEV unit test client I can actual run the process template setupu2026u2026u2026u2026.
Developer has checked the code and DEV Master client is the same as DEV Unit test clientu2026u2026u2026.interesting.
Have you ever come across the issue where the source client where template has been created and released that you could not create the process tabs?
Any other ideas how I could solve this?
