Elements 10-11 upgrade

I have elements 10 with 20,000 photos. I just bought Elements 11 Preimier and want to upgrade the 10 to 11 and install Premier. Will any of th data - dates, descrptions, people identification, etc. be lost if I install Elements 11?

On amazon i am trying to decide between elements 10 or upgraded elements 10. Its says to buy the upgraded elements 10 you must have a previous version on adobe photoshop. I own photoshop 7. Which should i buy? Also is it even worth it to buy elements 10 or just stay with elements 7?

First of all, just wait a little while before spending your money -- we're all guessing that PSE11 will be released this month.
When you see an "upgrade" version anywhere for PSE, the "upgrade" only refers to the pricing. Just shop around for the best price you can find -- if it's labelled an "upgrade" or not, the best price you can find is the best price you can get. As always, before purchasing check carefully to see if your PSE7 (not Photoshop 7) will qualify for an "upgrade" price....
I think that your best course of action will be to download the trial version of PSE11. You'll have 30 days to decide if it's worth purchasing.

If you use a trackpad and don't want to switch to a mouse, you can uninstall and reinstall all day long and will still have problems, but if you really want to try it, you can download PSE 12 here:

Elements to CS5 upgrade procedure

I've been searching around the adobe website, but I cannot find an answer yet.
I'm thinking of upgrading from photoshop elements to photoshop cs5. My question is, what is the upgrade proceedure like?
I don't think I have elements installed anymore, maybe because it's not compatible with my win7 x64.
Do I have to install elements, then run the cs5 installer?
Will the cs5 upgrade read the old elements cd during install?
Can I just input my elements serial number during the cs5 install?
Can I just use the cs5 cd without proof of ownership of elements?
In summary, how does the elements to cs5 upgrade process work, and what proof of ownership do I need to provide?

So , if you have Licensed Photoshop Elements version 6, 7 or 8 then you are eligible for upgrading it to Photoshop CS5 or Photoshop CS5 extended depending upon your choice.
You dont need to install Elements again in order to Upgrade , just buy Upgrade serial number by choosing the options as shown in image. During install it will ask for Qualifying serial number of Elements. In the options that are given, select your version and enter its serial number. Thats it , you will successfully upgrade to Photoshop then.

I have Photoshop Elements 8 and upgraded to Plus but am not able to access themes, content, etc. that are Plus eligible. Any suggestions? I have tried twice through support and online to no avail.

When I'm in Editor, I see the themes, some have a gold bar (which I understand is for Plus people) these are the ones that I can't use, when I click on them, nothing happens. When I click on the others they open fine. I haven't opened both Elements and Premier, just Elenments 8 as that is what I have. I'll check it out. Is it possible some some setting that needs to be changed? Thanks for your help!

Well, I don't work for Adobe or Photoshop.com -- and I don't know enough about your situation to even guess.
But:
a) You've logged in to Photoshop.com with both Photoshop Elements and Premiere Elements, right?
b) Both programs are fully registered and activated using your Adobe ID, right?
c) In Premiere Elements, under Themes, do you see any themes listed that have a blue or yellow ribbon over and upper right or upper left corner?

Can't Download Photos to Adobe Photoshop Elements after iPhone Upgrade

Howdy, I have been using Adobe Photoshop Elements 4.0 with my iPhone ever since I bought my iPhone 3G when they came out and have never had any trouble. Whenever I synced my phone and there were new photos on it, Photoshop Elements would start it's photo downloader program and let me download the pics from my phone and put them in the organizer. Then it would let me delete them.
But this weekend I took a bunch of photos and now Photoshop Elements startes up during the sync as usual, but before it lets me download any pictures I get a message from Photoshop Elements saying "Downloader needs to close" (or something like that) and I never get the chance to download the pictures. The only way I have to get the pictures off my phone right now is to mail them as attachments.
A few days ago I upgraded to the 2.2 iPhone software and I was wondering if this might be the source of the problem. Has anyone else heard of any problems like this?

I'm having the same problem with Elements 6.0. The downloader starts up and I can see the first few pictures in the downloader before the error message comes up and the downloader must shut down. The only way to get pictures off the phone is through Win Explorer. But, when you try to remove the pics off the phone (i.e. move or delete) the phone reboots. The only way to remove the pics is one at a time on the phone itself.
It is extremely frustrating that Apple has created a decent way to sync music and video, but no iTunes way to handle pictures. Honestly I amazed that Apple has worked so hard to be the standard for music, etc. that they just leave it to the consumer to figure out the picture stuff. Come on Apple.

Is anyone else having Config error 16 issue when trying to start PSE 12 or Premier Elements 12 after the Mac upgrade to OS X Yosemite 10.10 on iMac. I have had a number of issues with software and things after upgrading to OS X Yosemite 10.10 and even 10.10.1. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both PSE 12 and Premier Elements 12 a number of times and everything goes fine until its ready to launch and then you get an error message. Numerous uninstalled and reinstalls don't removing the problem. Strangely enough PSE 11 still appears to boot up and I never owned Premier Elements 11 so I don't know if it will start. I thought with Apple dropping its Apeture software and greater integration of iPhoto and Apeture files into Lightroom 5.7 all would be harmonious between these two players. Im not sure where Adobe wants us to go it recently removed the plugin to allow you to update files from LR to Adobe Revel, whats up with that. I now own two version of Adobe software that no longer work with my Mac and now way of uploading pictures from Lightroom to Revel. Needless to say I am pretty reluctant to sign on to a subscription of Creative Cloud with long term financial obligations when I can't even get my current Adobe software to work independently much less integrate with Lightroom. Frustrated with it all!

Get rid of 'put disks to sleep when possible' and you may see a dramatic improvement (not necessarily a cure).
That specific problem is a multiple-Processor (including graphics processor) problem, where one of the processors lost track of whether it should be responding to interrupts. You may have a Hardware problem.

Can't start film in Elements organizer after upgrade to 12.1

Upgraded from Elements (Photoshop and Premiere) ver 12 to ver 12.1.
After that I can't start a film (from my Sony RX100), file extension MTS. Worked Before in ver 12.
Says there is a codec missing. There is also a link in the error message, pointing to apple to install Quicktime.
So I installed the new Quicktime. No change
Googled on the error, result install Microsofts new codec pack. Did so. No change
If i start the file from Explorer (with MS Media player och double click) it works fine.
If i start the film from Quicktime it works fine. If I open/edit the file/film in Premiere and then start it, it works fine.

Hi,
since my upgrade to OSX 10.9.2 Adobe Premiere Elements 10 is causing probs whenever I want to add a menue to my movie. Can someone help me? Do I need to load a bugfix?

You can upgrade to PSE 7.0 for Vista and XP, however if you are a MAC user you will have to opt for PSE 6.0 as PSE 7.0 is not in market for MAC.

Have you tried using a magic mouse or wired mouse? Otherwise try trashing the prefs.
Quit Organizer. Launch Finder and hold down the Alt (option key) and click the Go menu; then choose Library. The Library is hidden unless the Alt key is pressed.
Then go to preferences and delete the following files:
com.adobe.PhotoshopElements.plist
Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 Paths
Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 Settings
There are also a couple relating to the Organizer:
com.Adobe.ElementsOrganizer12.plis
com.Adobe.Elements Organizer.12.0.plist
After deleting those files re-launch Elements.

I ordered a licence for the trial version of Elements 12 to upgrade from 11.

I ordered an upgrade licence for the trial version of Elements 12 and the confirmation says it is for Windows. I am sure I ordered for Mac (which is all I run). The serial number is invalid when I enter it which I presume is because the platform is wrong. How can I exchange the serial number for the Mac version?

Your caption says "I have my original serial number" , so do you mean to say the original for PSE11? If so then it won't work in PSE12. You need to enter the serial number you got in the email when you bought the upgrade from Adobe as download. Did you get the email from Adobe about this and have you kept it in your inbox or somewhere safe?
