  • WBS element conversion routines

    Hey guys,
    I recently added PS_PSP_PNR to 2LIS_11_VAHDR in order to extract the WBS element from the sales document header. So far so good and everything works fine. In the extractor checker I get the data as expected e.g. 'S-00017.02.09'.
    The problem occurs as soon as the data is transferred to BW. In the transfer structure I see that PS_PSP_PNR har conversion routine ABPSP that converts the WBS from external format CHAR(24) to internal NUMC(8). And this is what is causing me the trouble! In the PSA the WBS from above is converted to '00029788'.
    I tried several different approaches. If the field is mapped directly to 0WBS_ELEMT the value '00029788' is obviously also written to the DSO and further up the data flow.
    I tried coding an ABAP routine in the transfer rules which does not seem to work:
    call function 'CONVERSION_EXIT_ABPSP_OUTPUT'
    exporting
    input = TRAN_STRUCTURE-ps_psp_pnr
    importing
    output = RESULT.
    RETURNCODE = 0.
    ABORT = 0.
    Since the routine above did not help me at all I tested the FM in SE37 and it does not return any values for '00029788'.
    Any clues on this? How to proceed?
    BR
    Stefan.

    Well... Didn't want to wait any further for an answer, so I appended PS_POSID to the extract structure and filled this field in ZXRSAU01. In the exit I used 'CONVERSION_EXIT_ABPSP_OUTPUT' to convert to the correct format.

    Hi,
    With WBS element unable to create the Shopping cart
    Problem description:

    A/c assignment category " WBS element", Assignment no (some no,eg 1000-2 ).System picks the G/L account and business area,unable to create the shopping cart.Getting error message that

    Did i missed anything ,please

    Hi Hareesha,
    As Sreedhar has rightly said the issue is definitely with the correctness of the data.
    Check the assignment of WBS to the proper business area which you are using to create the shopping cart.Check your org. structure and attributes and their assignments once again.
    Neverthless some OSS notes for your reference if in case you can not able to make P.Os or the SC's / P.Os are not getting transfered to back end R/3.

  • Elements 8 support for Starter Album Collections

    I have LOTS of photos and Collections (I think they are called albums in Elements?) in Starter Edition 3.2 which I have successfully loaded to new Windows 7 machine. The Collections did not transfer. I am thinking of upgrading to Elements 8 if I can transfer the Collections to Elements equivalent. The Collections still exist on old XP machine.
    Does Elements support this?
    Thanks

    John,
    Hidden Files was selected. Tried again... Searched computer for 'pse-conversion-log*'...no file found.
    Here's sequence:
    1. In PSE* ..XP Machine>Organize>No items match this combination....Set Filter Filter Settings>Media Type>photos & Projects>Hidden Files>Show All Files.
    2 Catalogs>Convert>All Users
    3. Convert>My Catalog psa
    5. "My Catalog" already exists>rename 'My pse8 catalog'
    6. Elements Conversion progress bar... 15% ( My Pics file=15.4gb) >"Conversion failed...corrupted file...repair in original program...try again."
    7. Searched Computer for 'pse-conversion-log*' none found.
    This pc has two drives. Programs are on C: drive. My Docs (including My pics) on E: drive. Been this way for 2 years, no problems with PSA.
    New Win7 64bit machine.
    1. Transferred contents of old machine to new machine using Win7 Easy Transfer.
    2.My Pics OK in Win Photo Gallery
    3. Catalog converted and displays in PSA 3.2 without collections or tags.
    4.My pics converted successfully in PSE* without  albums.
    Any help?

  • Why are my raw files being changed?

    If I make changes in the Camera Raw window (i.e. change the exposure) and then "Open" it in Elements from the window, it applys those changes to the raw file, but the manual says "To open a copy of the camera raw image file (with the camera raw settings applied) in Photoshop Elements, click Open. You can edit the image and save it in a Photoshop  Elements-supported format. The original camera raw file remains unaltered" - so why is it altering my original raw file?
    Thankss

    It isn't altering your file. Elements can't write to your raw file; it stores your changes in an xmp sidecar file, not in the original file. But if makes the reasonable assumption that the reason you made changes to your conversion settings is that you want to apply them. If you don't want to keep the changes when you open the file, then undo the ones you don't want to keep before opening the file into the editor. You are never opening your original raw file in PSE, just the converted copy.
    To return to the basic elements conversion settings for the file, in the raw converter click the little lines to the right of where it says Basic in the converter window and choose Image Settings.
    Here:
    That's the mac version, but the location is the same in windows.

  • Photoshop Elements 11 catalog conversion solution

    The Photoshop Elements 11 Organizer failed to convert my Photoshop Elements 6 catalog until I ran the PSE11 Organizer under the built-in Windows 7 Administrator account. I did not find this solution mentioned during my efforts to solve this installation problem. It was not a suggestion I found in Adobe's help files dealing with catalog conversion. So here is a summary for others with this problem.
    I installed Photoshop Elements 11 on my Dell XPS 9000 running Windows 7 Pro x64. I retained my PSE6 installation. I have nearly 20,000 cataloged images in my PSE6 catalog.
    Problems began when the PSE11 Organizer failed to convert my PSE6 catalog to the new PSE11 format. The process seemed to run to completion, but then an error message said the conversion had failed. The suggestion was to repair and optimize the PSE6 catalog using PSE6, then try converting again. Conversion to PSE11 still failed. I spent a few hours searching for suggestions and solutions and tried each of them without success.
    I then found one suggestion that the problem might involve permissions. The suggestion was to right click PhotoshopElementsOrganizer.exe in its installation folder (which on my computer is at at D:\Photo\Elements 11 Organizer) and run Organizer as an administrator. This also failed. However it did get me thinking about permissions.
    Even though my personal account on my computer is an administrator account, I logged off my personal account and logged on to my computer's built-in Administrator account that comes with Windows 7. I don't think I've used that account for any other purpose since I set up this computer 3 years ago.
    I then ran the PSE11 Elements Organizer using the Administrator account and the catalog conversion ran to completion and all seemed correct.
    However, when I went to the folder where I kept my PSE6 catalog (G:\0-PSElementsCatalog\FamilyPhotos-6), the new PSE11 catalog was not there. Instead, PSE11 had put the converted catalog in the (absolutely awful) default location at C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\FamilyPhotos-6). Using the PSE11 Organizer, I renamed the catalog to G:\0-PSElementsCatalog\FamilyPhotos-11(ConvertedFrom6). I then used PSE11 Organizer to move the converted catalog to my preferred location on my G: drive.
    All is now well.
    Why did I have to use the built-in Administrator account to do the catalog conversion? What permissions does it have that my personal account (also an Administrator) does not have? Some years ago I encountered a similar problem that involved permissions on a registry key, not permissions on files or folders. Perhaps someone at Adobe can enlighten us.

    One thing puzzles me:

    I don't understand why running the exe from the installation folder would have worked.
    I would have simply tried to run that exe from its real location :
    Sorry, I can't help you more about permissions...

  • Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0 to Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 Organizer catalog conversion

    I'm having trouble converting Adobe Photoshop Album 2.0 catalog to Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 Organizer.  I get a Conversion Failed error which tells me to repair with the program that created it.  I have tried several things including deleting all .avi files from the catalog, deleting references to missing files and backing up then trying to convert from an external HD.  I'm running Vista Home Premium on a HP laptop.  The Organizer optimize and repair don't seem to help in this case.
    Does anyone have any history with this or advice?

    Please refer to following KB article which deals with catalog conversion failures:-

  • File Adapter - File Content Conversion to XML last element missing

    I'm using the SAP File Adapter with File Content Conversion to convert | (pipe) delimited records into XML.
    When the last field is blank, I would expect that an empty node gets created, however, the node doesn't get created at all.
    For example given these settings...
    Record.fieldSeparator = |
    Record.endSeparator = 'nl'
    Record.fieldNames = FIELD1,FIELD2,FIELD3
    Using this three record file as my data...
    |123|XYZ
    ABC||XYZ
    ABC|123|
    When converted to XML, this is what the recordset XML structure looks like...
    <Recordset>
    <Record>
    <FIELD1 />
    <FIELD2>123</FIELD2>
    <FIELD3>XYZ</FIELD3>
    </Record>
    <Record>
    <FIELD1>ABC</FIELD1>
    <FIELD2 />
    <FIELD3>XYZ</FIELD3>
    </Record>
    <Record>
    <FIELD1>ABC</FIELD1>
    <FIELD2>123</FIELD2>
    </Record>
    </Recordset>
    Notice that the last record is missing the "FIELD3" element.

    That did the trick.  It was a typo.  Thanks Giuseppe.
    I'm willing to bet that this parameter was added to fix the parsing bug without breaking existing users that had already worked around the original bug.   You shouldn't really have to special case the last field.

  • Raw conversion: open EOS 70D Raw files in Elements 8?

    I have a Windows 7 operating system, and Photoshop Elements 8. I have a new Canon EOS 70D and want to find
    an adobe Raw converter which will allow appropriate processing, and connecting finished results to Elements 8 for conversion  to routine JPeg or PSD? Any reccomendations?

    The EOS 70D was first supported in Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) 8.2
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html
    ACR8.2 is only compatible with Elements 11 and 12. Not Elements 8 so you cannot open Raw files from the 70D in Elements 8.
    Your choices:
    Upgrade to Elements 12, OR
    Download the free Adobe DNG converter and convert all 70D Raw files to DNGs. That adds an extra step to your workflow each time you shoot more pictures. Then edit the DNGs in Elements 8.

  • Why did adobe photoshop elements 13 stop catalog conversion of elements 12?

    I loaded my new adobe photoshop elements 13 fine. but when I told it to convert my 12 catalog to 13 it looked like it was converting up to 100% then it came up with catalog conversion error

    If you open the Organizer and go to Edit>Preferences>Camera or Card Reader, do you have Auto Launch Adobe Photo Downloader on Device Connect checked?
    Try checking that if you don't.

  • What is conversion routine which is found in data element

    Hi all,
    I was just trying to creating a data element assigned to a particular domain in se11. While i am creating i can see a conversion routine
    Can anyone tell me what is the use of that conversion routine with an example.
    thanxs in advance
    hari

    Hi,
    Depending on the data type of the field, there is a conversion when the contents of a screen field are converted from display format to SAP-internal format and vice versa. If this standard conversion is not suitable, it can be overridden by defining a conversion routine in the underlying domain.
    Conversion routines are identified by a five-place name and are stored as a group of two function modules. The function modules have a fixed naming convention. The following function modules are assigned to conversion routine xxxxx:
    CONVERSION_EXIT_xxxxx_INPUT
    CONVERSION_EXIT_xxxxx_OUTPUT
    The INPUT module converts from display format to internal format, and the OUTPUT module converts from internal format to display format.
    When is a Conversion Routine Executed?
    If a screen field refers to a domain with a conversion routine, this conversion routine is executed automatically when entries are saved in this screen field or when values are displayed in this screen field. The conversion routine of the domain is also triggered when the field contents are output with the WRITE statement.
    Table SPFLI in the  flight model contains information about the flights offered by the carriers. The time for each flight is recorded in field FLTIME. Enter and display the time of the flight in input templates in the form HHH:MM (hours:minutes). Store the flight time entered in the database as an integer number (number of minutes of the flight). An entry 3:27 is therefore stored in the database as 207 (3 hours, 27 minutes = 207 minutes).
    Field FLTIME refers to domain S_DURA, to which conversion routine SDURA is assigned. The value is thus converted by the two function modules <b>CONVERSION_EXIT_SDURA_INPUT</b> and <b>CONVERSION_EXIT_SDURA_OUTPUT</b>.
    A conversion routine can also be triggered by specifying its five-place name in the attributes of a field in the Screen Painter or with the addition <b>USING EDIT MASK <Name of conversion routine></b> in the WRITE command in the program. With the USING NO EDIT MASK addition in the WRITE statement, you can skip a conversion routine defined for a domain when outputting.
    Parameters
    The two function modules of a conversion routine must have precisely two parameters with the names INPUT and OUTPUT for the value to be converted and the converted value.
    The INPUT parameter in the INPUT conversion and the OUTPUT parameter in the OUTPUT conversion should not have any reference fields because the value passed in the call could have a different length than that expected.
    Programming Conversion Routines
    ABAP statements that result in an interruption of processing (such as CALL SCREEN, CALL DIALOG, CALL TRANSACTION, SUBMIT, COMMIT WORK, ROLLBACK WORK, MESSAGE I, MESSAGE W) are not allowed in conversion routines.
    Only A messages are meaningful in output conversion, but A, E and S messages can be triggered in input conversion (although S messages are not very meaningful here). E messages result in an error dialog. Exceptions are not intercepted in the call.
    The output conversion is also triggered with WRITE and WRITE TO. The conversion routine may therefore occur very frequently with lists. The output conversion should therefore be programmed as efficiently as possible.
    No external performs should be used in conversion routines. Programs that are called externally use the table work areas of the first calling main program. In conversion routines this can result in errors that cannot be easily analyzed since they are sometimes called at unpredictable times in the program flow.
    <b>Pls refer link which contains code as an example to conversion routine used in abap</b>.

  • Display WBS Element in BPS Layout - Conversion errors

    Hi all,
      I have problems with the conversion routine of WBS element in BPS Web Interface. The conversion routine of the infoobject (WBSEL) sometimes don't apply to the characteristic when you see the data trough BPS web Interface. Sometimes you see C990-0011-02 (with conversion) and sometimes C990001102  without conversion....
      It is estrange because for the same user sometimes you see all the values with the correct format and sometimes no.
      I try to delete the BPS intermediate Buffer but it doesn't works properly...
      Does anyone have some idea about what could be the issue?... any idea is welcome.
      Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    if you use CONVERSION_EXIT_ABPSP_INPUT, it will give you 601 again back to you.
    Thanks,

  • BRFplus: Conversion Exits in Elements ?

    Hi all,
    I have created a custom DDIC Domain with a conversion exit (that is, with FMs CONVERSION_EXIT_xxxxx_INPUT and CONVERSION_EXIT_xxxxx_OUTPUT).  The idea is to define a single duration field that will hold days, hours and minutes.  Internally it is defined as type NUMC; externally it may be entered and displayed as format "DDD HH:MM".  This works fine when used as a parameter on the selection screen of an ABAP program.
    In BRFplus I have created an Element that is bound to this DDIC Element.  However BRFplus seems to treat it as just plain text without a conversion exit - no formatting of the value takes place.
    Also, it is not recognising the Output Length of the DDIC Domain - only allowing character entry up to the internal length.
    Can anyone advise whether BRFplus (NW 701) supports conversion exits on an Element ?  If yes, then what else do I need to try to get it to work ??
    Thanks & regards,
    Grogan
    Edited by: gr0gan on Aug 18, 2011 6:45 AM

    Hi Grogan,
    Conversion exits are not supported in NW701 and also in later releases there are still some limitations.
