Elements 10 edit program

can't save an edited raw image as a jpg.

In the camera raw dialog choose 8 bits from the bottom dropdown menu; then click Open Image button.
Save as usual in the Editor when the image is transferred.

  • How do I get the Codec for Adobe Premiere 6.5?   I have old AVI files I need to edit in a Premiere Elements 9 program.

I have older AVI files from Premier 6.5.  I need to edit them in Elements 9, how do I get that old codec?

Thank you for your response.  When I said I had tried Camtasia, I meant that I had tried to import the files into Camtasia.  However, Camtasia,  like Premier Elements, will NOT allow me to import these older Matrox AVI files into their editing programs.  These older Matrox AVI files will playback fine in a program I downloaded called "GomPlayer",   Today I discovered that GomPlayer allows me to view the properties of the clip, and they are pasted below.  Hopefully, with this newer info, it will help me with my capture sistuation.
    Thanks again for your help.

  • I just installed Photoshop Elements 8. How do I make it my defauly editing program?

Photoshop Elements 5 always opened immediately when I would click on a picture in "My Pictures". Now that I've installed Elements 8 that is not happening. How do I set PE8 as the default photo editing program?

Go to "My Pictures" and right click on any Jpeg file
Select open with > Choose default program.
Select a program from an installed list of programs > OK
Select Photoshop Elements and click OK
You will need to do this with each type of file you want PSE to handle e.g. gif, bmp etc.

  • All my desktop files will now only open in the photoshop elements edit page. How can this be corrected?

As stated in my question I tried to open a manual I have on my desktop and it opened it Photoshop Elements edit page in a thumb nail format.  I checked and all my desktop items will only open in the photoshop elements edit page.  what do I need to do to correct this?

Now that we have your post in the correct forum, I have a few questions, please:
What is the file format of this "manual?"
What OS version are you running?
If this is Windows (a PC), then what is that file format associated with in File Types? It is likely that the particular format has been associated with PsE. If that is not what you want, the association can be changed from the Control Panel, to link it to the desired program.
    Good luck,

  • Adobe Photoshop Element 10 Program Stops (i.e, Crashes)

I currently have a large number of photographs stored in Elements 10 (this may be referred to as the catalogue).  When I try to edit a photograph, the program stops working when I close or save the edited photograph and try to go back to the Organizer.  Someone mentioned that I may have too many photographs stored in Elements 10.  I thought that I could keep and back-up unlimited photograhs without affecting the functionality of the Elements 10 program.
Do I need to reduce the number of photographs I have in Elements 10 to improve the functionality of the program?  Where or how do I store these photographs, some of which have been edited with Elements 10, for future use?

    Hi ...
If you have anti virus software installed, you need to disable that in order to download apps.
Apple's policy clearly states that, "all sales are final" >  iTUNES STORE - MAC APP STORE - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Is element the program I would use to shrink photos to place in necklace pendants?

Is element the program I would use to shrink photos to place in necklace pendants?

    Guy
iPhoto is not the app for this job. It has a handy slideshow feature, it's not a presentation software.
Have a look at iMovie, PhotoToMovie or Final Cut Express.
For points 1,2,3 all of them will do this
For 4, only FCE has built-in sound editing. However, I'm not sure you need it. Both the other two will allow you to fade-in, fade-out and cross fade between soundtracks.
For point 5: Rather more complicated that that, I'm afraid. All of the above will generate movies. Regardless of the input images it's the output from the applications that will decide this.
    6. In conjunction with QuickTime Pro, FCE and PhotoToMovie will output to HD.
I think your best bet is to build your slideshow in FCE or PhotoToMovie, output to suit the projector size.
You can burn the movie to a data dvd using the Finder.

I have Photoshop Elements 5.0 running on Windows Vista.
By mistake I changed the start up to open in the edit program. I would like to have elements open in the traditional manner on the welcome page.
Could someone please inform me on how to change it back?
    Thanks,

    Hi Barbara,
Sorry I'm not clear on your instructions. Do you mean from the start buttion > windows centre. If yes, there are 14 icons but none related to photoshop
    Thanks, Edwin

  • What is the main use of text elements in program.

    Hi Experts,
Can any body please explain, why we have to maintain text elements in program.
is it only for avoiding hot coding or else any thing.
Please explain. And why we have to avoid hot coding with text elements.
    regards,
    developer.

    Hi,
Text elements are used to store text , the basic purpose of using this is that the same program can be run in diffrent languages and so the titles/headers must be in the language the program is execued , if you hardcode it in the program this will not work , so we use a text elemnt and the system selects the language for the text element based on the language in which the user has logged in.
You can search in forums, you will get lots of answers
Type your key word in sarch text box and press enter, if not found relevant answer, select datae range to all...
    answers  from other forums.
    Hi
They are useful when the program is used in other languages.
So that they are automatically converted to that language.
So define the texts in the text elements and use their ID's like (TXT-05) in the code
don't sue the complete texts in the program.

  • IPhoto is the lamest photo editing program ever!

Is it just me or is iPhoto the lamest photo editing program ever? I had photoshop elements on my windows machine and was happy my new MAC came with iphoto & iMovie. Now that I have tried to use it I find it doesn't do much in the editing department. Infact Picasa has more editing features.

So instead of helping me out you insult my intelligence? You are pretty brave over the internet. So why does Apple advertise their computers coming with all the software you need.
iPhot: iPhoto gives you everything you need to do everything you want with your photos. Keep them organized and easy to find in lots of different ways. Use powerful yet simple editing tools to perfect each shot.
iPhoto isn't even a "good" photo organizer. Picasa is better at organizing & editing and is free. So don't blame the price.
So I guess if I were as smart as you guys, I would ASSume that iMovie doesn't really edit movies either, just organizes them right? This was the only thing I hated about moving to MAC. Apple Fan boys are very annoying.

  • Is CS5 a good edit program to edit mpeg-4 AVC/H.264 with?

I always used adobe premiere pro 2 to edit DV. But now i've bought a new HD camera so i'm searching for a good program to edit my movies with. Right now I have to convert my HD movies in elements 7 and transfer it to adobe, but the result is very poor, time consuming and frustrating.
I'm about to buy a new computer and also a new edit program. But is CS5 a good choice? Is it possible to capture or transfer my movies of mpeg4 AVC/H.264 straight into a project in CS5? is there anybody out there who already uses this kind of codec for projects in CS5?
    Monique.

Thanks a lot, I will check this section.
Can you also give me information about the quality when burning
(H.264) projects from CS5 on DVD?
Or do I have to use a blue ray recorder to avoid looking at unstable/jerky
    images?

If you get a fast enough computer, you should be fine. Check out the
Hardware section for recommendations on computers or components that will
help make the most of Premiere.

  • User Friendly Image Editing Program?

OK, I have searched everywhere I can think of for a simple photo and image editing program. All I want to do is manually crop images into irregular shapes and make one image transparent over another, and not have it look spliced together when I get done. I have been using Appleworks draw, but these are two things it lacks. I have downloaded and tried dozens of applications, everything from Adobe trial version to freeware programs and none of it does any good. The complicated expensive applications make you spend two hours figuring out how to rescale an image and the cheap ones can't even do basic overlays. Is there some kind of image editing program out there that can do these things, but has a simple interface like IMovie or IPhoto?
    IMac duo-core 1.83ghz intel   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

I use Photoshop Elements v2 with Tiger. Since it's old, you should be able to get a copy for $10-$20.

  • Accidentally purchased Premiere Elements instead of Photoshop Elements (Software program..)

I purchased Adobe Premiere Elements 10 thinking it was a photo editing program.  It appears it is more of a movie editing program.  I am going to have to purchase something different for picture editing?

    Hi,
The equivalent software for working with photographs is Adobe Photoshop Elements. Please see: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-elements.html.

  • Elements 11 program stops working when photo collage opened when 297 x 210 selected

Adobe Photoshop elements 11 program stops working when photo collage opened when 297 x 210 selected>Running Windows 8.1

    Hi Jane
There are sometimes problems calling up the template from the media database. Why not design your own? It is possible to make a collage manually in Expert Mode and its quite easy.
Click File >> Open and select all of your photos
That will add them to the project bin
Then select File >> New >> Blank File
Select background color White (or whatever you prefer) and add your width and height for your final image (set resolution 72 for web usage or 240 to 300 for printing) then click OK
In the project bin click your first photo and drag it up into the main window on top of your new background.
Click on the move tool and click in the center of the photo and drag to arrange it where you want on the background - you can hold down the shift key to maintain original proportions whilst dragging the corner handles of the bounding box to get the size you want.
Do the same with the next photo (drag it up into the main window) and use the move tool to position it. Then continue with each image.
Finally Click Layer >>Flatten image and save as jpeg. (Save as PSD if you want to preserve the layers for editing again)
N.B. as you add images they get dropped in the center. So you need to use the move tool to drag them apart. Click in the middle of one and move it around, and then the others until you get them positioned as you want.
When you click again with the move tool a bounding box appears around the image and you can drag out the corner handles to re-size your photos. Hold down the shift key when dragging the corner handle and that will maintain the proportions of the original.
Finally click Layer >>Flatten Image and save your collage - you may then want to use the crop tool to cut away any surplus white canvas, and then re-save.
