Elements 10 Local Content not Downloading

Hi
I've recently installed Elements 10 and am trying to find my feet.  I'm able to view the help online, but the local content shows as not available.  When I'm offline it shows as pending download, but when I connect again this does not happen.  I've also tried signing in via the help app, but this had no effect.  How can I download the local help?  I'm in the UK if that makes a difference.

  • LR4 local content "Not Available" in Adobe Help Manager

    I followed the instructions suggested by Sandeep here: http://forums.adobe.com/message/4757465, and while this caused LR4 to show up in the Adobe Help Manager, the local content's status for LR4 is given as "Not Available".  What do I need to do to get AHM to download the content for offline help, and to have direct access to it from Lightroom 4?
    To me, the functionality of Adobe's offline help solution is completely unacceptable. I have read the forums and these problems have been going on for months.  Built-in help in not a new concept for software applications but Adobe has managed to take something simple and to make it complicated and unusable.  Fixing this really ought to be a higher priority for the company, particularly given the high prices that Adobe charges for its products.
    Thanks in advance for any ideas to fix this problem and for letting me vent.

    I was already aware of the option you suggested, but I think you'll admit stopping work in Lightroom, launching a PDF viewer and then finding and opening a standalone Help File is far from optimal.
    Thanks for forwarding my message to engineering, but haven't they known about this problem for a very long time?  And if offline built-in help works for the Adobe CS products, how hard can it be to get Lightroom to conform to the same approach.
    I've been reading some of the other threads and it is clear that many, many other users have been let down by Adobe's approach to built-in Help across a broad range of products. Maybe all these complaints should be forwarded to Adobe's management team, not just the engineers. This issue clearly deserves much more attention than it has been getting.

  • I received Elements 13 (disc install, not download) as a gift but do not have disc drive on my HP Ultrabook.  Am I able to redeem this for a downloadable version?

    I received Photoshop Elements 13 (disc install version, not download install version) as a gift, but do not have a disc drive on my HP Ultrabook.  After entering redemption code to obtain the serial number I expected (apparently naively) to have the ability to choose a downloadable version of the product to begin installation.  Does anyone know if there is a way to redeem this for a downloadable version?

    the program is free.  the serial number to activate is what costs money (and is what you hopefully received in that gift).

  • Cannot open photos from Canon EOS D5 Mark III with photoshop elements 10. Could not download patch

    I have just updated my camera to a Canon D5 Mark III only to find that my version of Photoshop elements 10 will not open these files (RAW). I have tried to download a patch, but it said the patch was not applicable to me. Does anyone have any suggestions?

  • ITunes content not downloading after installing iOS4 on 3GS

    Hi everyone,
    ever since installing iOS4 on my 3GS, any iTunes content I purchase is not showing anywhere. Please can anyone help? I have tried downloading 3 different things, switching from WIFI to VF 3G network, switching phone on and off with no luck

    Same problem on my intel MacBookPro. Happened to me after doing the ilife08 upgrade a few minutes ago. Downloaded from apple again and did the upgrade option. That seems to have done the trick.

  • Additional content not downloading on logic pro?

    I originally ticked all the boxes on the additional content downloads and off it went downloading away. But as each pack gets right to the end it sticks either with a mb less than complete or all the mb/gb appears to have been downloaded, then a window pops up saying Logic unable to download. I cancelled the download and restarted logic so I could just tick one box at a time thinking this would help, but it reverted to downloading 3 packs at a time again! Is this a common problem, any ideas? Gaz

    On every case I have come across this problem, it has been determined that the problem is being caused either by;
    The person's Internet Service Provider (ISP) limiting the max size of file that can be downloaded from the internet.. eitehr by throttling or simply by stopping the download. As the additional files are quite large, you may want to look further into this with your ISp to check this is not the case.

    The system HD drive is close to being full. Check you have enough free space on your system drive to download these files...

  • Local files not downloading to app

    I am having a problem with my local files playing on the Android Spotify app. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but it doesn't seem to work, all the other music downloads but not my local files that have been added to that playlist.  It used to work, but sometimes spotify does this "oops, you don't have any songs downloaded and we need to download them all again" screw ups and now they don't download. When i scroll down to them in the playlist they are grey (with no grey downloading icon, just purely greyed out) and when I press on them it says "this song is not available".  My phone and my desktop are on the same home internet and I don't know what the problem is but it's really frustrating. The songs I have in local files are ones not available on spotify.

    Make sure that you are on the same WiFi network and Windows & third party firewalls are configured to allow the Spotify connection through.
    Another point to note is that sometimes if a track is stored locally & is also available to stream then when you sync to your device it will automatically use the Spotify streaming version but the data from your playlist. If for some reason the metadata such as track length differs this can cause conflict and break the track. In this instance you are best off removing the local file from your playlist on the desktop and adding the track from the Spotify server then re-sync. This should fix this issue.

  • Cannot download Elements 10 local help content

    I am trying to help an elderly friend who has been struggling to install Elements 10 local content for almost twelve months.
    We have created an Adobe I'D and password that I am using to post this. However when we try to sign in via elements to download the help files which are shown as pending, the sign in process seems to hang with no error report.

  • While will my photoshop elements 5.0 no longer download photos from my Canon T2i camera?

    Just recently my Photoshop Elements 5.0 will not download from my Canon T2i camera.
    - It connects properly, finds and counts the photos on the card, but when I click on "get photos" to download the photos, I get an error message saying it cannot find the camera. That the camera is either not connected, or not powered on. It says this even though the camera is connected to the USB port, and powered on
    - Re-botting my computer and reconnecting my camera also do not fix this issue
    - Looks like maybe others are also having this issue
    Any thoughts or input are much appreciated. Thanks !!

    What OS are you on?
    Is the camera still listed as connected outside of Elements?
    Are you able to copy files from your camera to your hard drive outside of Elements?
    Do you have a card reader and if so, does that work?

  • Premiere Elements 11 - online-content-download not working

    Download of online-Content (movie-menues etc.) is not working. Are the Servers down?

    Are you doing one at a time and getting failure or are you hitting the All choice for the Content with the blue ban at its upper right corner?
    Have you checked the following areas to determine if the problem is targeted at one type of Content?
    Graphics Tab for Clip Arts
    Tools Menu or Tools Tab for DVD Templates
    Instant Movies Tab for Movie Themes
    Title & Text Tab for Title Templates
    Just trying to determine the specificity of the problem - All versus selected areas.
    I have found that, at best, the Content download from within the project is a labored and slow process, depending on your Internet connection and Internet speed. Unfortunately there is no alternative since there is no more Content disc when you purchase the box product. But you can save the Online Folder (after download - completed version) to a USB Flash Drive (8 GB capacity) after the first program install so that you can use that for Content for the second install of  Premiere Elements 11 on another computer or in the case where you need to uninstall reinstall Premiere Elements and its Content on one computer. The file size of the completed Online Folder is expected to be about 6 GB.

  • Thunderbird running under Win 8.1 with Defender does not download attachments and offline content.

    Thunderbird on Win 8.1 with Windows Defender is not downloading attachments from my roadrunner email account. It does so when running under Ubuntu 12.04 though. On Windows no attachments are shown. Also on Windows there is content that is not shown, I know so as there is an empty box. Then there is no option to download offline content. How may I use Thunderbird to read my email if it won't display properly? I trust the source of these emails as they are from the legal department of my former employer. I asking for the content to be resent does not work either. Please help me.

    I am getting the following error when attempting to deliver my iBooks Author book package via iTunes Producer: "

    I understand that there's something wrong with the TOC file (.ncx), but I have tried everything and nothing seems to work. Every section of the TOC is labeled, so not sure why the navLabel issue is happenening.
    Any help is GREATLY appreciated! Thank you.

    After digging through .ibooks code for hours and still not seeing the problem, I decided to reach out to one of the Apple epub conversion affiliates in iTunes Connect. They said they could repair the file without a problem, started working on it, only to come back a week later and say they couldn't work on .ibooks or .iba files yet.
    So, in complete frustration, I decided to transfer my content page by page from the blank template I downloaded from a vendor online to one of the "textbook" templates in IBA. This was a long process as I had to unlock and clear out the formatting of the template. But, once that was done and content was transferred over, all was good. I submitted/delivered the same content and preview book within the new template and it went right through the first time (all metadata was exactly the same as well).
    Now, the iBookstore approval waiting process begins!
