Elements 10 locks up upon sign in

I can use my user name and passwork successfully on the adobe site but when I attempt to sign in within Elements 10 the program locks up completely. Solutions?

It locks up because PSE is still trying to do what it was programmed to do: find and connect to the photoshop.com servers and it can't find them so it keeps looking.
I should also have mentioned that it's best to give up on the welcome screen entirely now, if you used it. Just go into the program files or program files(x86) for windows or the applications folder on a mac and find the actual .exe/application for the editor and/or the organizer, make a shortcut/dock icon and use that to launch PSE in the future.

I just installed Photoshop Elements 10 on my iMac a couple weeks ago and it worked fine. I went to launch it today and all I get is the spinning wheel and I have to force quit out.

Premiere Elements 12 endless loop of "Sign in Required' popup

I received a license (Volume Licensing serial number) for Adobe Photoshop and installed. Whenever I try to use the editor, I get in an endless loop of "Sign in Required' popup. I sign in with my Adobe ID, and then nothing happens. Chatted with Adobe with no resolution. Our IT folks thought it might be a firewall issue, but it is not. Been struggling with this for over a month, and need to use the product.
Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Had lots of problems with Premiere Elements 12/12.1 and Sign In after an uninstall reinstall.

Have you tried working through this document - it does apply to Elements as well.

"Lock document after signing" option is missing

Hello,
I need a signature field on a PDF form I am developing to have the Lock Document After signing functionality. My coworker (who has since left the firm) designed a similar form that automatically checks this box in the Sign Document pop-up window. This is exactly what I want, but I can't figure out how to do it. I am using Adobe Acrobat X Pro (10.1.13).

I am the author of the document for the 1st screenshot. I am trying to replicate what my former co-worker did in the 2nd screenshot (which is a completely separate document). My boss likes the "lock document" feature and wants each form locked when it is signed.
I've heard about seed values, but i don't know anything about them specifically. The properties of the digital signature field are the same in the two documents, there is no script in either one, yet the difference remains. Do you have any resources I could read about for modifying seed values to mandate the lock document option?

i tried to install the software onto my mac book pro with mavericks
the program just will not open i get a constant repeat request to
register the product with adobe i have a ID
i rang adobe and they could not come up with a reason other than maybe mavericks issue
i will go to mac shop to day and see if they will put mountain lion back on my macbook pro
apparently there are some issue with mavericks

Whenever I click on the "Text" icon it locks up my photoshop and my computer

When you click on the Text icon, PSE has to enumerate all the fonts installed on your system and build its font selection menu from that info. It can take a while, so wait it out. Ken

Elements 9 locks up after I delete a few photos?

Elements 9 locks up after I delete a few pictures. i have to shut down elements and restart it and sometimes i have to reboot my computer just to continue to use it. It is a real pain in the neck. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but this didn't work and now my editor will not work it says that i have it installed on two different machines. You would think the program would be smart enough to recognize that it was reinstalled on the same machine. My computer is brand new i spent a little over $3,000 on it. I think this is a software issue. Possibly a conflict with another program but i'm not sure. I'm running windows 7 Professional,with an i7 core and 16 gigs of memory and top rated Asus video card. I've only been using Eements 9 for about half a year. i'm worried about upgrading because i don't want to pay the money to have the same problems. Can anyone help me?

When Photoshop locks up I do not get an erro message. What i mean is that i can no longer move from on photo to another photo. I can leave the screen that shows a large photo to the screen that shows thumbnails. But once i leave the large photo I can not double click on a photo to see it in a large view. If i wish to do this then i need to shut down photoshope and restart it. Also my facial recognition stopped working about the same time i started to have a problem with photo shop locking up. i haven't spoken to technical support becuase it is sunday i will try this monday when i get off of work. i hope that I will be able to find a solution to my problem.

Elements 11 locks up when I attempt to Photomerge Group Shot

Whenever I attempt to perform Photomerge, Elements 11 locks up. It's just that simple. I get the MAC beach ball, and the application locks up. I'm able to force Elements 11 to exit by executing Force Quit Application. This problem happens in Quick, Guided, and Expert modes. Does anyone have any thoughts? Thanks for your help.

What version of Premiere Elements 11 are your using in presumed Mac computer? I suspect none, but, by the content of your question, rather Photoshop Elements 11 Mac.
If that is the case, you have posted in the wrong forum. You want the Adobe Photoshop Elements Forum and not the Adobe Premiere Elements Forum (video editing) where your thread is not displaying.

Enable "Lock Document after Signing" by Default

My boss likes the "Lock Document after Signing" option in Acrobat X and plans to use it every time he signs a document. So, is there a way to keep that box checked by default? I did not see it anywhere in preferences, is there a registry key I could set?

There is not a preference for this. It is possible to use seed values for digital signature fields, making it possible to create a custom menu item or toolbar button that adds a digital signature field to a page with the seeds values that would cause the document to be locked when signed. Photoshop Elements 9 Locking Up

Immediately upon loading Photoshop Elements 9 the program locks up. Restarting does not help. Running 64bit quad core processor. 8 Ram. Any Ideas. This has been a constant problem since loading on new compurter last year.

The Organizer preferences may have become corrupted, needing to be automatically re-built on a re-start.
Close Elements and click the Windows start button.
Navigate to:
John > AppData >Roaming >Adobe >Photoshop Elements >9.0 >Organizer
Delete the PSA file (with key symbol) and delete Status.dat
Re-start the program
N.B. replace John with your own user name

Elements 13 locks up

When using photomerge compose in elements 13 after a few minutes it locks up. Anyone else experiencing this?

if you purchased pse 13, you should be prompted for your serial number, not an adobe id/password.

In Adobe Reader (v11.0.09) locked/froze after signing and can't access my full fill-in answers to edit

In Adobe Reader (v11.0.09), after answer application questions in scrolling window panes within a .pdf doc, I signed the doc, and it froze/locked, so I cannot edit or view the full answers anymore. It is normal once you sign a document it considered to be a complete of yours. So no one shouldnt make any change after you signed the documents gets locked.

Creating a date field that autogenerates when form is opened but the date is fixed upon signing.

I have been creating a series of PDF forms on Adobe XI Pro that are designed to be filled in using Adobe Reader (hence are saved as Adobe Reader Extended). Once the form is complete there are signature fields that the user digitally signs which then deactivates specific form fields from further editing. Alongside the signature field I have got a date field which, at the moment, is using JavaScript to auto-generate the current date upon opening. However, the issue I am having is that I want this date field to be fixed when the form is signed, rather than updating again when the form is next opened. Is this possible?
The document JavaScript that I am currently using to generate the date is as follows:
this.getField("PR_Date1").value = util.printd("dd/mmm/yyyy", new Date());
But obviously this is independent of the date field.
I am very new to Adobe in general so I don't have much of an idea about how to go about doing this. Could somebody please help me to do this if it is possible?

Thanks for the detail regarding validation script, but I still am having a problem with it.
I have tried what you told me (remove reset the value) the popup no longer appears when the form is opened. But the validation does not seen to be working. It is not working either in the validate or exit event. This is what I have now on that text field.

This final verification script I have taken from the samples on the
LiveCycle Developer Center (Validating field content in a form hosted in Adobe Acrobat).
The alert only displays when 2007 or 2008 is entered. I am really confused now. I thought I had a handle on this with your explanation.
