Elements 10 Monitor area issue

When I am trying to edit to clip etc portions of project the monitor only shows static picture and not movie when I clik play button. /it did at one time.

I take it you're asking about Premiere Elements? That has its own forum, and that's where all the video mavens hang out. I'd try posting there:

Good luck!

  • Reader window doesn't resize elements between monitors

Reader 11.0.10 on Windows 8.1 x64. I have a dual monitor setup with two 80cm (30") monitors. One is an Eizo EV3237 UHD monitor running at its native 3840x2160 resolution, the other is a Dell U3011 running at its native 2560x1600 resolution. Because the monitors are the same physical size but quite different resolution, I have unchecked the Control Panel option "Let me choose one scaling level for all my displays" (in Control Panel / Display), so that Windows chooses different scaling levels for each monitor to keep windows, menu text, icons etc the same size on both monitors. This works well for all applications *except* the two Adobe applications I have installed - Adobe Reader and Photoshop Elements 13. Both of these display the window elements such as menu text, icons etc at the same size as other applications on the Eizo UHD monitor, but at a ridiculously large size on the Dell monitor. For all other applications I use, when I drag a non-maximized application window between monitors, the window retains the scaling of the source monitor until half of the window is on the target monitor, at which point the scaling changes to that for the target monitor. However, both Reader and PSE13 retain the scaling of the high-res monitor even when the entire window is on the lower-res monitor, so all the window elements are too large.
Some Googling shows that Adobe have had scaling problems with their applications for years, but seem too incompetent to fix it.

    Hello,
We have semiliar problems in sweden with Adobe Reader X 10.1 Swe and Internet Explorer 8.0 with streamed PDF files.
We had some issues and got them resolved by the following
Upgraded to Adobe Reader 10.1.2.45 Eng
    - Print Issue:http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/pdf-wont-print-reader-10.html
    - Grey box in Internet explorer: http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/pdf-opens-grey-screen-browser.html
    - Add site as trusted: Edit-> Preferences, unbox Enable Enhanced Security + add the host/url to site that is whitelisted to send pdf files
(the Automaticly trust sites from mu Win OS security zones doesnt work for us)
The thing is we run MUI pack on our Citrix servers and want Adobe Reader in Swe but it havent been translated yet...
So we have to wait for the swedish release on Adobe Reader X 10.1.2

  • .mts file video won't play in Elements 10 Monitor Panel

    Hi All
I am having trouble with .mts files.  I have Premier Elements 10 on Win7 pc, and I have just, for the first time, opened .mts video files which were taken on my Lumix FZ150.  When I drag the scenes onto the timeline then try to preview them I can hear the audio but the video in the Monitor Panel doesn't move, it doesn't play.
Is there something I am doing wrong?

    jgjgjfjf
What computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 10 running on? And, does your computer use a NVIDIA GeForce video card/graphics card?
IMPORTANT. Please read the Announcement at the top of this forum regarding the Premiere Elements 10 NVIDIA GeForce issue. That Announcement describes the problem and gives detailed information on how to deal with the situation.
Do you have problems getting a video display in the Edit area monitor for still and videos from other sources?
Also of importance in directing the troubleshooting are the properties of the Panasonic Lumix FZ150 video file that you are importing and the project preset that you are selecting to match the properties of that video. From what I have read of your camera, you could have MPEG-4, AVCHD, or MotionJPEG video compression. But, with that .mts file extension, that would suggest that your camera is set to record AVCHD. Is that correct?  Are you sure of the file extension and video compression for the file?
The answers to all of the above will point us to the solution to your issue.
We will be watching for your results.
    Thank you.

  • Macbook Pro and external monitor sleep issues.

I recently upgraded to a new 13 inch MacBook Pro to replace my previous one.  With the upgrade, I'm now on the latest OS and I have a Thunderbolt instead of Mini-displayport output.  I have a Dell U2410 monitor which has worked great up until now, but I now have the following behavior:
When the laptop sleeps (or puts the display to sleep) the monitor begins to turn on and off.  It goes to powersave mode and immediately wakes up, realizes there's no signal, and goes back to powersave mode, etc etc etc.
When I wake the computer up from sleep, the monitor's behavior stays the same.  The laptop never detects the display and begins sending a signal.
If I unplug and replug the adapter, all is well.
There seem to be two separate issues: whatever signal the computer continues to send down the display cable after sleep seems to confuse my monitor, secondly, the computer never again sends a real video signal down the line after it wakes up.
I'm on the latest 10.8.3.  My adapter is the same adapter I have been using for years, an apple mini-display port to DVI adapter.  Supposedly this adapter is still compatible with the Thunderbolt port.
I've seen lots of issues online about wake up issues with the latest OS.  Is there a workaround for this yet or do I have to uplug my monitor anytime I sleep the computer?

    Hi Steve,
I have had the exact same issues after adding a WD Thunderbolt Duo external drive to a Mid 2011 iMac and then daisy chaining the Dell U2410 monitor off that.
My Mini DP to DVI cable ceased working properly - sleeps issues.
After buying one of these adapters of Ebay:
    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/3-in-1-Mini-Displayport-to-HDMI-with-audio-DVI-DP-ada pter-3in1-convertor-Macbook-/110861703462?pt=US_Audio_Cables_Adapters&hash=item1 9cfdf5926
I then tried all the different cables that came originally with the Dell U2410 with that adapter, and none of then would put the U2410 to sleep properly. The backlight would stay on, or "No Displayport Cable" would float around the Dell display with the backlighting still on. Or otherwise the Dell would try to go to sleep and then wake up again and cycle like you found.
Apples Mini DP to VGA adapter was sleep successful with the VGA cable (Analogue) but the output picture was not as sharp as DVI or Displayport, plus there was RF interference with the cable.
After lots of internet searching I have found a near perfect solution:
A HDMI to DVI cable with the HDMI end connected to the Ebay 3 in 1 adapter, which then connects to the Thunderbolt port.
Connect this to DVI-D 1 on the Dell U2410.
On the Dell in Menu - Other Settings,  disable DDC/CI
Now in OSX Settings - energy Saver you will have to tick:
"Put Hard Disks to sleep where possible" and select a short time frame for "Computer Sleep"
I have found that the display would go black but the backlighting on the Dell U2410 would stay on, when the display went to sleep on the Mac as per the Energy Saver "Display Sleep" setting.
The backlighting on the Dell would only turn off when the time for 'Computer Sleep" has elapsed and the external Thunderbolt hard disk went to sleep as well.
The Dell U2410 would then wake up correctly as well when my iMac woke, with this setup.
Cheapest solution for you would be to try an Apple or Ebay HDMI to DVI adapter and then use the DVI - DVI cable that came with the Dell.
If that fails get the 3 in one Adapter and use my Mini DP/Thunderbolt to Ebay Adapter to DVI-DVI cable setup.
I'm assuming your new Macbook Pro comes with the HDMI port ?
I believe the Sleep Issues with this monitor are all related to appropriate signal on the cable, and only the HDMI to DVI solution will work correctly on Mac's connected to the Dell U2410.
    Good Luck. :-)

  • Source and Preview Monitors are Jittery

I've been getting some really bad screen flicker in my preview and source monitors in Premiere CS4. It feels like a frame rate or frame conversion issue, since it seems to flicker between frames (kind of back and forth, like it can't decide which frame it should be on). This has never been an issue for me before, either with CS3, or the project I just finished with in CS4.
All the footage is HVX200 MXF files shot at 720p (anamorphic) and 23.976 fps. The project settings match the footage exactly (CS4 has a default profile for this footage). This was not a problem a week ago with another project I was working on that had all the same settings and was shot with the exact same camera at the exact same settings (as far as I know).
When I export, the problem no longer exists and the footage looks amazing, but for some reason just the in-software monitors are causing it.
I am running Windows XP SP3, with an ATI Radeon 4830 graphics card.

I need to make a slight correction. The flicker is, in fact, there in the previous CS4 project that I mentioned. I just didn't notice it as much since there was far less movement in it.

  • How do I identify and fix images Elements 10 believes are corrupt?

During the past three days I have had problems with the functionality of my Photoshop Elements 10 and  received several messages indicating that the catalog is corrupt.  How do I identify and fix images Elements 10 believes are corrupt?

Thank you for the prompt reply unfortunately the fix did not work.
Let me provide some more information that may help you diagnose this problem.
I run Elements on a PC. The operating system is Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium. The System Type is x64-based. The processor is AMD A8-3850 APU with Radeon(tm) HD Graphics, 2900 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s).  The Hard Drive is 1.81 TB, and 1.5 TB of this is free.  The Ram is 16 GB.  Everything else works great.
I have used Photoshop Elements for about 10 years, during which time I have upgraded to newer versions 5 or 6 times. I have used Elements 10 during the past 2 years.  I already bought Elements 12 but I am trying to repair this issue before I upgrade to it. I have approximately 65,000 photos in my catalog. All but the last 2,000 are backed up.
During the past few days I encountered several problems with the functionality of my Elements 10; all errors provide messages indicating that the catalog is corrupt. Forexample, when I edit a photo in my catalog, the thumbnail image of the newly edited versionwill not display.  When I imported new photos, the thumbnail image would not display.  In all cases the photo image was replaced by a ?.
I tried to correct the thumbnail problem by repairing and optimizing the catalog. In either case I received the same message that the catalog had not been repaired/optimized because some images were corrupt. However, despite this message, the thumbnails for the newly imported photos appeared but the thumbnails for the recently edited photos still have not.
Currently, I cannot import new images, edit, delete or even stack photos.  I can still view, search for, copy and delete photos.  When I try to import a photo a new photo I get the following messages - ”the requested change could not be completed because the current catalog is corrupt.  You can attempt a repair in the file catalog dialog."  - "Nothing was imported.  The file(s) or folder(s) selected to import did not contain any supported file types or the files are already in this Catalog." and "The catalog could not be repaired, if you have a recent catalog backup, you should restore it."
I have visually inspected the catalog and found about 25 recently imported photos that have a thumbnail image but lack the photo's id (i.e. img_3075.jpg would be replaced with ?). They are my photos from my camera and no different that the other 300 images I imported at the same time. However, these images in the catalog are blurry.  When I check the image in the My Pictures folder the image is fine and properly located between img_3074.jpg and img_3076.jpg.  I attempted to reconnect but received a message that there are no files to reconnect. I cannot delete the images from the catalog and If I delete them at the source (in the file folder) they still remain in the catalog view.
Howdo I identify and fix images that Elements believes are corrupt?
Thanks in advance for any thoughts.

  • Displayport splitter showing as "PnP montor" in Windows and monitors are blank

    T430 laptop with Intel 4000 + Mini Dock Plus Series 3 docking station 2x(DP+DVI) + Windows 7 64 bit, 3 monitors:
    1. 1920x1080 Dell monitor connected to the docking station DVI port 1, main monitor, works fine
    2. Laptop's own LCD (1600x900) detected but manually disabled
    3. Two 1680x1050 monitors connected to the Lenovo DP splitter box (OEM company is IDT?) which is connected to the docking station DP port 2. The DP splitter is shown as "PnP montor" (typo as shown) with 1280x1024 as the highest resolution but the two monitors connected to it detect no signal.
Windows detects the first two fine. But does not seem to be able to detect the DP splitter box properly? I saw a post on the net showing the same Lenovo DP splitter being detected by Windows as "IDT VMM1300". I gues IDT is the OEM company and VMM1300 is the model of this particular box. Has anyone seen this issue before? Is this box supposed to be plug and play? I cannot find anyway to download/install drivers for it. I updated the Intel 4000 graphics card drivers via the Lenovo's "TVSU" system update tool, but nothing changed. I cannot get it identified as "IDT VMM1300" (hoping to get the 3360x1050 resolution option with that).
I tried the other display port ont he docking station, it did not help. The two Dell monitors are connected to the DP splitter via active single link DVI-DP adapter cables. These should be fine since they both work properly as single monitors when connected to the display ports on the docking station directly (via the same DVI-DP adapter cables).
I'm trying to get 3 external monitors to work with my T430/Intel 4000.
    Thanks in advance.

I had the same issue with a Lenovo T440. I thought this was a prank that somebody had installed on the computer as the name that shows up is PnP "Montor". I was able to fix this with one of our staff. The only thing that fixed it was replacing the VGA cable.

  • Capture monitor panel issue

    which monitors are compatible?

    Hi,
I have a much loved iMac G3, indigo, 400mhz, slotloader that is suffering unfixable CRT problems...horizontal static lines that jumble 99.9% of the display screen.
To fix it would cost a small fortune. I have a PowerBook G4 that I love, BUT I love working with Photoshop, and the colors are not true on the PowerBook. Just a bare tilt of the screen changes the look of everything so I have no way of checking my work.
I don't want to have to buy a whole new computer. The broken one is only 6 years old...started dying at 3yrs 1mo old...a month after the extended AppleCare expired.
I've been looking all over trying to find out which of the budget priced monitors will be compatible with my iMac so I can use it again. I can't seem to find a list of compatible monitors anywhere. Would anyone here know which monitors will work when I connect it to my disabled iMac?
    Thank you.

Seems to me that you should buy
a nice big CRT monitor and use it with the PB12".
The Powerbook is much much faster (better for
Photoshop) and will extend the display rather than
mirror. That way you can keep the palettes on the
12" LCD and your open work on the CRT.
Funny you should suggest this...I was just out on my porch wondering "what to do, what to do?" and thought about this possiblity. It seems like it would make more sense than putting a ton of money into the iMac...which, if you look on ebay, are going for nothing if they go at all. It's sad.
The only macs I have ever seen any major widespread
video issues with was the original iMacs. The others
seem to have held up fairly well overall.
That isn't meant to diminish your annoyance with the
machine or your experience. That's a real pain and
very annoying. Did you contact apple when it first
started going wonky. Apple has been known to go a
bit beyond the warranty in some cases. Don't know if
they would have back then, but it might have been
possible. Not that that helps you now.
I contacted Apple minutes after it first started going wonky...when it was merely a flicker of odd happening...which was exactly one month to the day after my AppleCare expired. They were nice about telling me what was wrong with it but didn't offer to extend my extended warranty to fix it. That was three years ago. The problem rapidly progressed until the jigglies filled in the entire screen. Living SO FAR away from the nearest anybody who knows anything at all about repairing a Mac and having no way to get that far to bring it to them when I did have the money to fix it prompted me to buy the laptop, figuring that...god forbid...something happens to the laptop, it would be a lot easier and cheaper to mail the laptop in for repair than the big iMac. But the LCD screen has been a hinderance to color correcting my work. Other than that, I LOVE the PowerBook a lot...I do mean a lot. I hope it holds up better for me than the iMac did...which I loved dearly. It was my very first computer. But I don't think I got my money's worth out of it. I have $20.00 electronics that have lasted over twenty years. I think a $1,000.oo Macintosh computer should have made it long past three years without a huge, expensive repair to consider. And, I already had to replace the mother board on it only three months after I got it. So....

  • I have 12 core with Quatro 4000 and 5770, I want to use dual monitor setup, monitors are NEC with Spectraview-II.  How do I connect?  4000 only has 1 Display Port and 1 DVI.  5770 has 2 of each, if I use both 5770 Display Ports, does the 4000 contribute?

I just bought a 12 core with Quatro 4000 and 5770, I want to use dual monitor setup, monitors are NEC with Spectraview-II.  How do I connect?  4000 only has 1 Display Port and 1 DVI.  5770 has 2 of each, if I use both 5770 Display Ports, does the 4000 contribute any work at all?  I read where on a PC they would work together, but on a MAC they do not.
I read that Display Port has higher band width than DVI, NEC monitors for best performance they recommend using DIsplay Port.
When I was setting this up I looked at a Nvidia Quadro 4000, unfortunately it was for PC, it had 2 Display Ports, in the Mac version they reduce it to one.  I did not think there could be a difference.
Mainly want to use it for CS6 and LR4.
    How to proceed???
I do not want to use the Quadro 4000 for both, that would not optimize both monitors, one DP and 1 DVI.  Using just the 5770 would work but I do not think the 4000 would be doing anything, and the 5770 has been replaced by the 5870.more bandwidth.
Any ideas, I am a Mac newbie, have not ever tried a Mac Pro, just bought off ebay and now I have these problems.
As a last resort I could sell both and get a 5870.  That would work, I'm sure of that, it's just that I wanted the better graphics card.
    Thanks,
    Bill

    The Hatter,
I am a novice at Mac so I read all I can.  From what I understand the NEC monitors I bought require Display Port for their maximum performance.  The GTX 680 only has DVI outputs.  Difference from what I understand is larger bandwidth with the DP.
You said I have the 4000 for CUDA.  I am not all that familiar with CUDA and when I do read about it I do not understand it.
A concern I have is, that if I connect the 2 high end NEC monitors via the 5770, using it's 2 Display Ports I would have nothing connected to the 4000.  Is the 4000 doing anything with nothing connected?  I read where in a PC system the 2 cards would interact but in a Mac system they do not.
Bottom line, as I see it, the 4000 will not be useful at all to me, since I want a dual monitor set-up.
So far the 5870 seems the best choice, higher band width than the 5770, and it has 2 Display Ports to optimize the NEC monitors.
I'm not sure how fine I am splitting hairs, nor do I know how important those hairs are.  I am just trying to set up a really fast reliable system that will mainly be used for CS6 and LR4.  Those NEC monitors are supposed to be top notch.

  • In oracle Open Script (OATS) OracleEBS/Forms project all the elements or fields are being identified as web objects.

In oracle Open Script (OATS), we have created an OracleEBS/Forms project. But when we try to record the script all the elements or fields are being identified as web objects. Due to this we are unable to use the functions like getText. Hence, please help.
Example: The below line when executed gives an error " Failed to connect to the Oracle Forms applet after 90 seconds. Verify that the applet launching page opens, and that the Forms Startup Timeout setting is high enough for this site."
    forms.textField("/web:window[@index='0' or @title='Person']/web:document[@index='7' or @name='tabPage']/web:input_text[@id='PER_ID' or @name='PER_ID' or @index='0']").getText();
We have already set the event timeouts in OpenScript Preferences -> Playback -> OracleEBS/Forms Functional as
Forms startup time out = 90Sec
    Forms Action timeout = 120Sec
Forms Response Timeout = 120 Sec.
    OpenScript
    Version: 12.4.0.1 Build 139

If it is a name resolution I would try either replacing the server name in the script with the IP address or making an entry in the local host file of the machine trying to play back the script
If you try one or both of those approaches does the script play back?

I'm thinking about buy a new workstations (MacPro) but I need to know if my Monitors are compatible or I need to buy a new ones.
I have a Cin Dsplay 23-inch DVI Early 2007 and a LED Cinema Display (24-inch).
    Kind regards

The 24" LED's Mini DisplayPort plug will go into a Thunderbolt port on the Mac Pro.  The 23" DVI display will need a Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter.

  • External VGA monitors are not working only with my Macbook Pro 2012mid version

    Hi all,
I have a macbook pro 13' 2012mid version, running the latest version of Mavericks, 10.9.2. If I connect my macbook to any extrernal VGA monitor (I have tried 4 different monitors), then the external display is detected in system preferences, but the monitor is showing only black screen (no signal). I am 100% sure, that my minidisplay port, the cable and the monitors are working properly, cause if I boot the same macbook from bootcamp win7 partition, then external monitors are working well.
I have also tried the same miniDP VGA with an older macbook pro (I think it is a model from year 2011, but also running Mavericks 10.9.2) on the same displays and the monitors are working fine. So the problem must be with in my OS X.
A have also tried some things, that I found on the net, like booting with the plugged in monitors in safe mode, reseting pram, I tried different settings for the external monitor in the system preferences (resolution, refresh rate...) but nothing helped. External monitor stayed recognized in system preferences, but with black screen and no signal.

Your post is incredibly hard to read, font is way to small.
If you used Boot Camp Assistant to create a partition to install Windows to you need a REAL Windows 7 or 8 install media and license key and you have to actually install Windows on your Mac. Boot camp is only for creating a partition to install Windows and starting the Windows install from REAL Windows install media.
That Windows install media has to be a DVD disc, if your Mac has a built in DVD drive (Apple does not allow Windows to be install any other way on Mac computers that originally come with a built in DVD drive), or from a USB stick with the actual Windows install files on it (Not an ISO of the Windows install files).
So the question is did you install Windows on your Mac? It doesn't look like it from the Option key boot and the list of available Boot Devices you posted.
