Will appreciate help, as my "guided / quick" is also greyed out?

you need the matching exe file, too. both should be placed in the same directory and then click the exe.

How do you overcome problems using Photoshop Elements with Win 7 and Eyefinity display?

I have a 3 screen Eyefinity setup on a PC running 64bit Win 7 with 16gb RAM and an AMD Radeon 7950 graphics card and Phenom II x4 processor.
I struggle to get a stable PSE10 to work on this setup.
I bought a combined set of Photoshop and Premier Elements 10 and although installed it always crashed when I saved images with the error message "Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 has stopped working". I recently did a fresh install of Windows 7 and decided I had to solve the Photoshop problem.
I installed Premier 64 bit version from disk 2 and Photoshop Elements from disk 1 and then ran compatability checker. Under compatability settings for Win XP srv pack 3 it starts although with some toolbar errors and top and bottom of screen transparent instead of solid. I can save files worked on but then still get the error when I exit Photoshop Elements.
Has anyone had similar and solved the problem? Tech Support said my s/w was too old and unsupported without a service contract.

There should be no need for compatibility mode; pse10 is designed to run on W7. Try making a direct shortcut for the Editor. You can then launch the program directly from the desktop bypassing the welcome screen. This is generally better as the welcome screen leaves background processes running.
Right click anywhere on the desktop and select New >> Shortcut
Then click the browse button and navigate to:
"C:\Program Files(x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 10\PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe"
Then click Next; then click Finish
To launch, try right-clicking on the new desktop icon and choose “Run As Administrator” which often improves stability.

Do photos tagged in Elements 6 (Win) import accurately via Bridge (Elements 8 - Mac)

I have thousands of photos that I have managed using Adobe Elements (Win) and am now moving to a Mac. Will Adobe Elements 8 (Mac) using the included Adobe Bridge properly carry-over all the tags that I have assigned to the photos over the years. I have 'written' these Tags & keyword properties' to the files using the function in Elements 6.

to find out is to make a copy of a randomly chosen amount of files from
different data and try those copies your self in Bridge to see if they
reflect all the data you want.

Install downloaded Premiere Elements 13 (Win) on Mac

I have de-activated the prog on the PC; how do I download a Mac version?
I had downloaded and installed windows versions of Prem. El. and PhS. El. on my windows laptop; now that I've got a Macbook I want to install the programme on that instead. How do I proceed?

Are you dealing with downloads that you have purchased or just talking about tryouts?
If you have downloaded purchased Premiere Elements 13 Windows installation files with a serial number, you cannot use those installation files on a Mac computer.
If you want a downloaded purchased Premiere Elements 13 Mac, you need to purchase Premiere Elements 13 Mac with its own serial number for your Macbook.
If your original purchase gave you a box packaging of the product, you found that you had 2 installation disc - one for Windows and one for Mac. In that
case, you could install Premiere Elements 13 Mac on Mac from the Mac installation disc.
Please clarify the details.

How can I identify and delete duplicate photos using latest version of Elements? (Win 8.1 64 bit)

I have several thousand digital photos of which several are duplicates. Can I identify and remove them using Photoshop Elements 13?

Have (I think) downloaded the trial version of Elements on Win 7 PC, but dosn't run

Ran the Adobe downloader all night and it appeared to download approx 1.5GB of the Elements program. Now there is no sign of the program files or an install exe file. Any ideas how I check to see if it has downloaded and if so, to get the files to install and run?

If it is not in the user folder then you may have customized your location. I would recommend downloading the software again and then you will have an exact file name you can search for as well.
If you would prefer you can also utilize the steps listed in http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369 to initiate a direct download.

Can't open cr2 files in Elements 11 - win 7 64 - canon eos M2

I can't open my cr2 files in Elements or in Corels Aftershot Pro2. They open in Canon's digital photo pro but that's not much help.
Any ideas?

The technical problem is that the ACR module is not totally an independent module you could update without updating the whole Elements version. If you look at the list of required ACR version for different Elements versions, you can see that the ACR version may be updated to a certain point, but that may depend on your OS version. Adobe's solution with the DNGconverter has pros and cons. It's an additional step, yes, but when you deal with large batches, it's less of a problem. Also some may find the DNG conversion useful. My raw files are 32 GB, when converted to DNG they are reduced in size and the time to open them is reduced. I like the ability to 'lossly compress' them, which is a much better solution than saving to jpeg.

Elements 3 WIN-file info shutter speed & aperture missing

Please forgive me if this is a duplicate but I haven't been able to locate this topic in help files, FAQs or on this forum. That doesn't mean it's not there-only that there is so much info that I can't find it.
I have a Sony DSC-H2 camera. When I open photo files from this camera in Photoshop Elements 3 and view File Info there is missing information on the Camera Data 1 tab-the aperture and shutter speed. This is supposed to be read only information.
Any ideas on why it's missing and how I can correct this?

Layers Mask, Photoshop Elements 3 (Win)

Hope someone can help me, I've a basic understanding of Photoshop 7 but can only afford Elements. Can someone advise how to set up a Layer Mask in Elements, is it possible? I want to blend several photographs.

Can you just clarify a couple of things, please?
When you drag the second image onto the first, are you using the Move Tool?
When you say the second image becomes the background is this confirmed in the Layers Pallete? That is you when you turn off Layer 1 you see you second image.
Regarding the size of the image. The image you first open determines the size of the canvas based on how many pixels it has. If you open a second image that has more pixels, it wont all go on unless you transform it.

I couldn't find the place where I can activate Premiere Elements. I have the serial number and an activation code. But where do I type in the serial number and activation code?

If you have Premiere Elements 12 Windows, when you start the installation of the program (from installation files or disc), before the installation process goes anywhere, you are asked for serial number and country, among other things. Later on, when the program is installed, the program restarted, a Sign In dialog should appear requiring you to enter your Adobe ID and Password.

I am not sure where your activation code comes into this.
Did you purchase Premiere Elements 12 as a purchased download from Adobe or as a purchased boxed product from an authorized reseller?

If you are installing EL10 on a new computer, make sure you deactivated EL10 on the old computer.
uninstalling the software will show a box(deactivate), so make sure the box is (X) marked.

Adobe Premier Elements 13 Win 8.1 64 Will not open. I get the login prompt for editor and sign in but nothing else happens. I have uninstalled/reinstalled but get the same results.

1. Does the problem exist with and without the antivirus and firewall(s) disabled?
2. Are you using a pen and tablet device or mouse?
3.According to the Device Manager/Display Adapters, what video card/graphics card does your computer use? How many cards, and is driver version
up to date?
5. Are you running the program as Administrator? Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer?

Collagen erstellen mit PS Elements 11mit Win. 7

Nach der Umstellung von PS Elements 8 nach 11 habe ich Probleme bei der Erstellung von Collagen und zwar kann ich kein Querformat einstellen.
Das muss doch möglich sein! Ich habe das alte Programm PS 8 nochmal aufgespielt. Hier geht es einwandfrei. Wer kann mir den richtigen Tipp geben.

Yes, I accessed the "updates" menu from the Help pull-down menu. I also accessed the updates using the Mac Terminal application with results shown in my original post. Regardless of whether I used the Help menu or the Mac Terminal app, the AAM tool still responded with:
Update Failed
   Updates could not be applied
   The error log file may help you in identifying the problem. The, try updating again. If the problems persist, contact customer support for further assistance.
The error log file read as follows:
   Photoshop Camera Raw 8.5
   There was an error installing this update. Please quit and try again later. Error Code: U44M1I210
   Looking at the the output of the Mac Terminal app, it shows:
   ... hdiutil: attach failed - no mountable file systems
   Is this relevant?
Regarding your follow-up message pointing to:
Update 12.1 installation errors | Photoshop Elements, Premiere Elements,
the files referenced in this link are present, are correctly named, and they are in the correct locations, so it would appear that these issues are not related to the ACR 8.5 update problem

Screen glitches in Elements 7 on Win 8 computer

I recently installed Elements 7 on my new Win 8 computer. I also downloaded a 7.03 patch from Adobe site. When the program is launched, and then sitting idle, the mouse pointer jumps around on the screen, and the "working" blue circle appears also. This happens constantly and consistently about every second. I do not have this happen with any other program.
I was having similar issues with Elements and Win 7, and XP, and Win 98 for that matter. Any insights appreciated!

Certainly not normal behavior for the application on it's own. Likely there is some sort of conflict, either with other software (possibly running hidden in the background) or with device drivers.
Two things:
1) Try running your system with all non-critical software disabled from the background (use msconfig to shut down all startup items and non-Microsoft process).
2) Make sure all device drivers are up to date, especially display (video card) and mouse. Visit the device's manufacturers web site to download, do not rely on Windows to automatically install these.
