  • Elements 11 Organizer stops working when Photomail is used

In Organizer I clicked on Share, Photomail. Dragged a few photos to the share box. Then I click next and am taking to the next screen where am supposed to choose a stationary but instead I receive a error message: A problem has caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available. I have the latest updates to the Adobe programs so I am perplexed as how to proceed from here.

I too was having P.S. Elements 11 Photo Mail problems--exactly the same problem as Baja-pete.  I tried Brian's suggestion and it WORKED.  After three failed attempts and 2-3 hours of time wasted with Adobe Tech support--   I NOW know where to come when I encounter a problem.  Many thanks!!

  • Elements 11 organizer stops working

My elements 11 organizer stops working (not responding message)  or is very slow that is when it does'nt blue screen my PC. If I am doing anything else my PC runs fine but as soon as I try to open elements it crashes. I have tried running elements with XP which makes it worse but even with windows 7 which it used to run ok with is having these problem.  I have run virus scans, updates and anything else I can do to try and help element run properly. Please can anyone help as this is getting very frustrating.

Ernie, it shouldn't be required. This is a scientific process, a test to find the origin of the issue. If there is something wrong with the catalog, we can try to repair it, but the fact is there are many possible causes to such behavior and we have to start somewhere. Here is a more complete list of the steps you can take to counter this kind of issue: http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/troubleshoot-system-errors-freezes-photoshop. html
Is everyone here getting a blue screen from the OS? If so, there are much greater problems at hand than it is possible for an application on your computer to cause. Blue Screen errors are caused by hardware issues. Sometimes it is physically faulty parts, but most of the time it is some sort of driver conflict (generally just an old version that needs to be updated). Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for major hardware components, such as your video card. DO NOT rely on your OS to get the current versions of the drivers. Go to the manufacturer's website and download them directly.

  • My elements 7 organizer "stopped working" how do I fix this?

My Photoshop elements 7 Organizer "stopped working".  How do I fix this?

I see that you responded to a previous post about this error that you're trying to follow the suggested fixes and do not know what your <username> is.
It is the name in the screen you use when you log on to Windows.  You can also find it by opening Windows Explorer, expanding the "Local Disk (C:)" folder, expanding the "Users" folder and seeing the name of the folder listed below the "Administrator" folder.

  • Photoshop Elements 8 Organizer stopped working on Windows 7 Ultimate N.

A few months ago, Photoshop Elements 8 Organizer stopped working on my Windows 7 Ultinate N computer.  The photo editor still works and so does Adobe Premiere Elements 8.  Does anyone know of a fix for this problem?  I've done a lot of looking on the Internet with no luck.
    Thanks!

    Hi Michel
Have tried those few things that seem to be still applicable to version 11 (as you will know it is not being maintained and stops at version 8).
However, I don't understand what is meant by "sometimes deleting it's saved preferences and registry entries fixes the problem.  To do that see these Adobe Tech. notes."   Unfortunately the link goes to a page which no longer exists.  I guess that rather than "deleting" the saved preferences the author means re-setting to default ?   "Deleting registry entries" is a task which should, as I understand it, only be done by those with a high degree of expertise.  I am not one of them !
Any comment you have will be gratefully received.

  • Elements 11 program stops working when photo collage opened when 297 x 210 selected

Adobe Photoshop elements 11 program stops working when photo collage opened when 297 x 210 selected>Running Windows 8.1

    Hi Jane
There are sometimes problems calling up the template from the media database. Why not design your own? It is possible to make a collage manually in Expert Mode and its quite easy.
Click File >> Open and select all of your photos
That will add them to the project bin
Then select File >> New >> Blank File
Select background color White (or whatever you prefer) and add your width and height for your final image (set resolution 72 for web usage or 240 to 300 for printing) then click OK
In the project bin click your first photo and drag it up into the main window on top of your new background.
Click on the move tool and click in the center of the photo and drag to arrange it where you want on the background - you can hold down the shift key to maintain original proportions whilst dragging the corner handles of the bounding box to get the size you want.
Do the same with the next photo (drag it up into the main window) and use the move tool to position it. Then continue with each image.
Finally Click Layer >>Flatten image and save as jpeg. (Save as PSD if you want to preserve the layers for editing again)
N.B. as you add images they get dropped in the center. So you need to use the move tool to drag them apart. Click in the middle of one and move it around, and then the others until you get them positioned as you want.
When you click again with the move tool a bounding box appears around the image and you can drag out the corner handles to re-size your photos. Hold down the shift key when dragging the corner handle and that will maintain the proportions of the original.
Finally click Layer >>Flatten Image and save your collage - you may then want to use the crop tool to cut away any surplus white canvas, and then re-save.

  • Premiere Elements 4.0 stops working when adding a title

Whenever I add a title, it quickly goes to "Adobe Premiere Elements.exe has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available"
What to do? Thank you in advance for any input on the matter.

Let me premise my responses by, Prem Elem had been working fine and this issue just started not too long ago
Processor: 3500+ AMD Athlon 64 processor
RAM: 1GB    Free? Not sure what you mean.
Defrag space: just analyzed. All ok
OS: Vista, not sure if fully updated...need to check
    QT: just updated
    Camcorder: Panasonic PV-GS80
Proj Settings: Not sure what you mean, "New Project?"
I'll make sure Vista is updated. Thinking about getting more RAM. It does say 1GB for on the "System Reqs" for Prem Elem

  • Premiere pro stopped working when starting help me

My Premiere Pro CC keeps giving me a "premiere pro stopped working" when I try to start it. What do I do?

    Hello Genero,
I'll see if I can help you out a bit here.
There could be a number of different issues causing this problem...
So if possible could you please let me know what operating system you are working on (Windows or Mac)
Have you been using PP for a while and it just started this behaviour, or have you just recently installed and have not been unable to use the software at all?
    What is your setup like?
    A few things to try:
    -Reset your Preferences:
When launching Premiere Pro from either a Mac or PC, hold down two keys while launching. This automatically throws away Premiere’s preferences.
    For the Mac, press Shift+Option
    For the PC, press Shift+Alt
In both cases, continue holding the keys until the splash screen appears. You will know you successfully trashed preferences when the splash screen doesn’t have projects listed.
-Add the newest update to Premiere Pro software, if you are not already up to date.
-Install the most up to date driver for your graphics card and restart your computer.
Please get back to me and let me know if that helped at all!
    Cheers
    Jasper

  • Elements 10 stops working when starting Photomerge - Panorama

I have selected two photos and then went to File, New, Photomerge-Panorama.  The program starts then I get a message that the program has stopped working and I should close it.  I have tried to start the Panorama from the Organizer and from the Editor with the same results.  I can use the Editor for other editing and it works normally.
The two photos were obtained from my scanner.  I scanned a large document and saved the scans as JPEG files.  I have done this previously and have made panoramas of other photo series and it has worked.
I have Windows 8.1.  I don't think I have tried to make panoramas since I went to Windows 8.1

I had the same problem with Photomerge panorama (PS Elements 9) on my new Windows 8.1 HP laptop.
I found a post over on a thread about CS5 talking about dual video graphics drivers. My laptop has both Intel and Nvidia chips and drivers, and after I disabled the Nvidia driver in Windows Device Manager, so that I use only the native Intel graphics, Photomerge Panorama comes up fine. My external big monitor looks crisper with the Nvidia graphics enabled, but I can re-enable that easily after I am done with Photomerge.

  • Photoshop Elements 11 organizer stops working after about 15 minutes with windows 7??

I've uninstalled and reinstalled, changed preferences, removed preferences, added administrator priviledges with full control to several screens, turned over my screen to Dipanjan, Adobe Rep and still does exactly the same thing. Very frustrating! Anyone else getting this windows pop up screen " Photoshop Elements 11 organizer has stopped working" ?
If I don't resolve this soon, I'm going back to PSE 10 and I guess I'll just have to eat the money wasted on it.
    Finally resolution!
Three separate days totaling about 8-10 hours of chat then another 3 or more hours in chat about this issue today with 3 different people. Finally got to Vijay, who said to:
click on edit in the organizer,
    go to preferences,
    click on media anaylsis,
    uncheck all the boxes.
That did it!!! Less than two minutes, done!  No more problems. I can't imagine how much of Adobe's and my time and productivity was wasted going through all the laborious steps, often times repeating the same procedures when I got some one new, only to start all over again.
Many thanks Vijay. You suceeded where so many others failed!
I sincerely hope if anyone else suffers this dilemma, this will instantly resolve it for you and avoid the extreme frustration and agony I went through.
    Cheers!

  • Stops working when  "Starting up panels..."

Just bought Adobe Creative Suite 5.5 Design Standard.  InDesign refuses to load.  I get the error message:
Adobe InDesign CS5.5 has stopped working.
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
Illustrator and Photoshop load and seem to work okay.  (Did not go beyond loading program.)
I uninstalled and reinstalled the suite but still can only load Illustrator and Photoshop.
InDesign stops loading when it gets to "Starting up panels..."
I did change the resolution so my monitor displayed correctly.
    Any suggestions?

I'm having pretty much the same problem.  When I try to launch InDesign CS5.5 I receive the error message from Windows:  Adobe InDesign CS5.5 has stopped working.
I have the Creative Suite 5.5 Design Premium Student and Teacher Edition, running on Windows 7 Home Edition Premium 64 bit
I have tried opening InDesign directly and get the error message, and I've tried opening from a document and get the same message.
Recently I had to move to a new computer, as my old hard-drive boot died on the old one, so I was not able to uninstall Creative Suite 5.5 from the old computer.  However, the rest of the Suite works fine, just not InDesign.
I have tried the fix as per Peter Spiers' post above; I renamed the InDesign SavedData file, but there was no InDesign Defaults file.  I searched for adobefnt*.lst files, but there were none.
I've not successfully used InDesign since loading it on this new computer, so perhaps this makes a difference?

  • Error "Licensing for this product has stopped working" when starting Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended- XP Pro AMD; 2GB RAM

I have exhausted all known options thus far.
I started the Flexnet Licensing Service and restarted the system but the message continues to come up when lanching PS CS3 extended
After restarting computer the Flexnet  Licensing Service stops again and goes into Manual mode. This also happens after a few minutes without restarting.
I also downloaded the Flexnet Licensing Recovery Kit from Adobe Support but the file stops after saying  "please wait for a few moments.. ?"
I changed the setting as discribed for the Flexnt folder but the message continues to come up when PS Extended CS3 is launced.
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/401/kb401528.html
What else is there to do. Please help me as what I can do so I can continue to use Photoshop CS3 Extended.
    Thank you

I downloaded the clean Script file and followed the instructions from what the Clean Script read Me file described.  The first step said to deactivate. Although I was not able to deactivate because of my original message, I followed the remaining steps.
After using the Clean Script and uninstalling Photoshop CS3 Extended and re-installing it I re-booted my computer. I also deleted the CS3 Application data files.
When I installed PS CS3 Extended the installer does not ask for the serial number on all attemps. I bought a registered copy of PS CS3 Extended. Is there another way to approch this licensing error.
    Thanks.
