Elements 10 will not display my slideshows in full screen, any ideas?
My 'Full screen preview' remains square with black borders down the left and right sides. The same happens when outputting to DVD for replaying on TV. I previously ran Elements 4 on my old machine without this problem! I would appreciate some help. Many thanks, Allan Stevenson

Adobe Premiere Elements 13, will not display video picture, audio only. My videois listed as compatible with Adobe.

On what computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 13 running? Have you updated 13 to 13.1 yet using an opened project's Help Menu/Updates?
If not, please do so.
You have not given us enough information with which to help you.
What are the properties of your source file that is presenting in the project with audio but no video?
Quickest way to gain that information is from brand/model/settings of the camera that recorded the video.
I am looking for
video compression
audio compression
frame size
frame rate
interlaced or progressive
file extension
pixel aspect ratio
What does the file's thumbnail look like in Project Assets after it is imported....thumbnail with no image (gray), thumbnail with only an audio icon
within it, or other? On the Timeline, what do you see represented in Video 1....nothing as opposed to Audio 1 where you see the audio portion of
the file?
Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer along with Premiere Elements 13/13.1? Are you running the programs as
administrator?
Is your video card/graphics card driver version up to date according to the web site of the manufacturer of the card?
Let us start here. Based on your reply details, we will customize troubleshooting strategy for you.
Thanks.

Had hard drive failure on MacBook 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo, so had to rebuild the OS on new drive. Was on Lion 10.7.5 prior to failure, but had to reinstall Snow Leopard 10.6.3 since that was most recent OS on media I had. After finally getting ethernet connection to router working, was able to get to internet and download / upgrade to 10.6.8. I assume I can probably buy the upgrade to Mountain Lion 10.8 from there.
Problem is this, Airport will not stop self-assigning IP address for my wireless connection, and unless I can get wireless back on this laptop, doesn't make a lot of sense to continue the rebuild and reinstall of all the software that was on it prior to HD failure. Only way to my home network and router is ethernet now. Everything else on my network (Apple MacBook Pro laptops, iPhones, desktops, and non-Apple printers and laptops) is hooking up to router wirelessly fine.
Any ideas how to resolve successfully so that the airport will stop self-assigning and allow the router to assign the IP address? When see the beachball cursor, note the exact time: hour, minute, second.

Mac Mini does not display HDMI 1080i in full screen on TVs
I have a 1.66 GHz Intel Core Duo Mac Mini that I am having problems getting video to display 1920 x 1080 @60hz in full screen on my Sony XBR 1080p HDTV. The Mac is connected to the TV via a DVI to HDMI cable. The Mac recognizes the display as a "Sony TV"
When the Mac first starts up the entire TV screen is filled with the grey Apple startup screen, but when the Mac fully boots and gets to the desktop, the screen has shrunk so that it is slightly off the screen on the left, and has about 80% of the screen filled horizontally and about 90% vertically. I have tried all combinations of the overscan selection on the Mac and on the TV, but they make the image about 120% of the size of the screen so the top, bottom and sides are cut off.
I have tried 2 different 1080p HDTVs with the Mac Mini and get the same results for both TVs.
Now here is the thing that makes me believe that there is something funky with the Mac Mini. If I take my 2.16 GHz Macbook Pro 15" Intel Core 2 Duo and plug its DVI display port into the Same DVI to HDMI cable that is connected to the same Sony TV, it displays full screen with no problems.
What can I do to make my Mac Mini display properly? Thanks for the ideas.
I did as you suggested, but the only 1920x1080 selection shown was one for "NTSC" which I would think is interlaced. This was after a reboot. All of available resolutions are labeled with "NTSC". When I look at the screen resolutions on my MacBook Pro when it is connected to the TV, they are labeled as "Interlaced". On both computers there are no progressive scan selections.
As an interesting note, regardless of what display resolution I select, the display area on the TV screen remains the same which is about 80% of the screen offset to the left. When "overscan" is selected, this mode enlarges to image to about 120% of the screen and cuts off the menu bar etc. However the MacBook fills about 98% of the screen in "normal" mode.
If there was a less aggressive Overscan mode or more aggressive normal mode, that would fix the issue.
Any other ideas on how to adjust this? -
Hello,
I have added RichTextField in custom webpart. I have added tag like below
<SharePoint:InputFormTextBox ID="RichTextField1" runat="server" TextMode="MultiLine" RichTextMode="FullHtml" Columns="20" Rows="10" RichText="true" />
We are able to see Richtextbox tools bar menu in IE browser but it's not working for other browser like chrome and Firefox.
Can anyone suggest us why this is happening?
Any help would be appreciable.
Thanks,
Lovkesh PatelHi,
According to your description, my understanding is that the richtextbox tool bar menu not display in non_IE browser.
The richtext box not supported in Non-IE browser, it leads to the issue.

Windows XP will not update to latest version of iTunes, any ideas
iPhone will not connect to PC (Windows XP) because PC requires 11.1 or later. When I try and install the latest download it states "the feature is on a network resource that is unavailable, enter an alternate path to "iTunes.msi". What does this mean, any fixes out there?
(1) Download the Windows Installer CleanUp utility installer file (msicuu2.exe) from the following Major Geeks page (use one of the links under the "DOWNLOAD LOCATIONS" thingy on the Major Geeks page):
http://majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=4459
(2) Doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file and follow the prompts to install the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (If you're on a Windows Vista or Windows 7 system and you get a Code 800A0046 error message when doubleclicking the msicuu2.exe file, try instead right-clicking on the msicuu2.exe file and selecting "Run as administrator".)
(3) In your Start menu click All Programs and then click Windows Install Clean Up. The Windows Installer CleanUp utility window appears, listing software that is currently installed on your computer.
(4) In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
(5) Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -
Iphone 4 will not play audiobook purchased in itunes. Any ideas
Purchased an audiobook on itunes. It worked well until I got to about chapter 7 of 10. Now it will not play on my device. It will appear on the screen as if it is playing, but no sound comes out whether I am using earbuds or the built in speaker. I don't think it is the media itself because I can locate it in my computer and double click it to play it, and itunes will come up and it will begin to play. Have not tried it on any of my other devices yet.
Same exact problem- a $44 book!

I have restored my ipad trying to update to the latest version and now it will not activate....... can anyone suggest any thing
Hi Griff W, Thank you for your response. I had found that article and did everything. I am on my MacBook Pro right now and this device, as well as my phone, smart TV, the Wii and Xbox are all reading our wi-fi connection (and I can see about half dozen neighboring networks). The issue with the iPad is that no list appears to choose from, much less forget and resign in. It worked fine before the update to iOS 5.1.1. I have tried everything I have read and could think about and come up with the "choose a network" with the thinking wheel just spinning and no list ever appears.

Youtube Center will not allow videos to play full screen
Hello, I have Youtube Center 2.1.0 and have enjoyed it for some time. I began using it when YT videos no longer played, I could hear the sound perfectly but there was no picture. Someone here advised trying the YT Center and that solved all my probs for a while. Till now.
Lately the right-hand column containing the related links covers up about a third of the YT picture which plays fine in the background underneath this column... There is no means to push it away! Someone else commented about a similar prob; it seemed when they were NOT logged in to their Youtube account, this issue happened, but when they were logged in it caused the white column to get out of the way! I tried that, it seemed to work, the white column was repositioned. But not anymore. The exception is when I visit a bookmarked YT video, then all is well and the column is down where it belongs. But anything that is NOT bookmarked has that links column covering the picture! I suppose if I were to download videos that I view, it would stop this issue. But I don't always wish to do that...
I use Windows 8.1 and so far as I know, everything is up to date...
TIA,
RosebudHi rosebud55,
Thank you for your question. I understand that there are some issue with unbookmarked youtube videos not displaying properly when you use the Youtube Center 2.0 add on.
Please check the preferences of the add on and if this does not change anything, please also contact the developer of the add on for more help on under the "Support email" listed on the add on page:

My HP F2480 will not successfully print on photo paper. Any ideas?
Hope someone can help. My HP Deskjet F2480 all in one will act and sound like it is printing on 4 x 6 photo paper, but then puts out the paper with nothing on the front and black lines on the back. I am putting the paper in upside down as it says.
Any ideas? ThanksHi mikethetrombone,
I'd like to help you with this.
Can you please perform a copy directly from the printer? I would like to test the hardware itself to help determine if it is a hardware issue or an issue with the computer/driver/software.
In case the issue turns out to be related to the computer, can you please post back with your operating system and version, what type of photo paper you are using, and what program you are printing from? Thanks.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Please click the Thumbs up icon below to thank me for responding.

Ipod will not display photo slideshow on TV
I can't get my Ipod touch to play a slidewshow on my TV. I conected with cables and selected the apporpriate input on the TV
Hi btabz,
The wording on the Apple Store for the iPod AV Connection Kit does seem to indicate otherwise:
"This kit includes everything you need to connect your iPod to your home stereo or television so you can share your favorite tunes, snapshots and movies with friends and family. Compatible with all iPod models with Dock connector.*"
"iPod AV Cable
On one end, the iPod AV Cable connects to the headphone port of the iPod or the line-out port on the iPod Universal Dock. On the other end, it connects to the left/right stereo input jacks on a stereo, powered speakers or TV and the composite video input on a TV or monitor. "
"*About iPod Compatibility All iPod models with Dock connector are compatible with the iPod AV Connection Kit. Different iPod models offer different capabilities:
Music playback: All iPod models with Dock connector
Slideshows: iPod with color display and iPod with video
Video playback: iPod with video"
I haven't bought the kit yet but I can't see anything on the webpage that says you can't display SlideShows on the TV.
I think I'll ask a Genius as I'm going to the Apple Store in a couple of weeks for some retail therapy

Shut down the computer.
Press the power button. Immediately after you hear the startup sound, press and hold the Shift key.
The Shift key should be pressed as soon as possible after startup, but not before the startup sound.
Release the Shift key when you see the Apple logo on the screen. Startup will take longer than usual.
Login to your account. Launch Safari.

Hi there
I was wondering if anyone could help me with creating templates in photoshop.
I have cut up my site, centred the table it produces in Dreamweaver and added a background and made the banners rotate but the site does not load correctly in Internet Explorer (even before I did all this stuff). The cells are not correctly aligned.
I have also tired validating the code but it says it is not valid HTML.
Has anyone else had this problem?
My website can be viewed at: https://dl.dropbox.com/u/4966582/intranet/index.html
Thanks in advancePhotoshop is for images only. Don't attempt to use the exported code on real web sites. It won't work in the wild. Why? Because the code isn't good & the tables are too rigid to hold anything other than the image slices. When you attempt to edit this layout in DW or any HTML editor, the whole thing falls apart and produces unsightly gaps between slices.
The reason it doesn't look right in IE is because the code lacks a valid document type declaration on the first line. This causes IE to render the page in Quirks Mode.
The export HTML feature in Photoshop is really only for quick comps to show a client before you begin building the actual web site with HTML and CSS code.
Although written for Fireworks, the 3-part tutorial below describes the procedure for bringing your design comp into a CSS Layout in DW. If you get stuck on anything, feel free to post specific questions in the DW general discussion forum.

I have had my iMac for 2 years now...I have never had a problem pairing my keyboard. The batteries died in my keyboard so I changed them and now I can't get the keyboard to pair to my iMac. I know the keyboard is fine and the batteries work because the keyboard will pair to my ipad. Any reason my iMac is having trouble pairing with the keyboard? Thanks!
If it is paired currently, you need to unpair it if you want to pair it back with the iMac.
As I said, it can only be paired to one device. If you want to use it with another, you need to unpair it first and then pair it with the other one.
And, if you need to sign in with your password to your Mac, you will need to borrow any USB keyboard to do so and to pair it; once it's recognized, you can use the wireless keyboard again. -

Process: AppleSpell [335]
Path: /System/Library/Services/AppleSpell.service/CI have this problem too. I installed Pages 5 when it was initially released and it functioned perfectly. Everything was working, even printing. Then after several system & Pages updates the printing began to hang.
At first Pages 5.1 would hang as soon as print was selected. But for the last month I have been able to get to the print window, but as soon as I select my printer (a networked printer) it hangs. Each time I have no alternative but to "Force Quit."
I still have Pages 4.3 installed and it still prints with absolutely no problems. All other apps print just fine with the exception of Safari. I began to have issues with it at the same time, and I've had to switch to another browser.
I would love to get this problem fixed so I can use these apps. Anybody got any ideas?
