Elements 10 works once before restart?
Hi. I recently downloaded Elements 10 with the purchase of my Wacom tablet, and it seems to have some issues. I can open Elements on startup, but if I close and attempt to open again, it crashes. The only way to open it again is to restart my computer. It has recently started freezing mid-use and crashing also.

I have tried uninstalling/reinstalling.

Invalid serial number for Elements 9 worked fine before
I Had to change a bad hard drive. Before that my Photoshop Elements 9 worked fine. Now I get a message the number is invalid. I paid for it with a new Dell computer and Adobe won't help. These keep passing me to Dell even though it is their serial number on their yellow sticker and Dell acquired it legitimately.
TThey passed the buck back and forth I would think Adobe would be responsible since it was their number affixed on their sticker. Either way they should have shown good will. I sent them scans of the sleeve, order form from Dell, and email saying it shipped. I did not have a 2.5 year old receipt but it should have been obvious after my first couple hours of "patience" that I wasn't full of crap.

How can I insert captions onto my slideshow photo's ...I did this 2 yrs. ago but have forgotten how.
What version of iPhoto are you using? iPhoto 7 (08) or iPhoto 8 (09)? If you're running iPhoto 8 (09) then click on the Setting button at the bottom, click on Show Captions and select what you want to be displayed:

Restart it.. Does this all the time with Lion and even worse ML.
Restart the whole network if that doesn't work.. do it in correct order.. from off.. modem.. TC.. clients 2min gap. -
I have a black MacBook from 2008 and tried downloading snow leopard 10.6. It told me I had to restart my computer. However once I restarted my MacBook my touchpad and keyboard were not working so I am unable to sign in. I have no idea what the problem is
You cannot download the upgrade to Snow Leopard.

Photoshop Elements 10 working only once
Something has happened to my Photoshop Elements 10 ... it works once when I first use it .... it will not work the second time. Restarting my computer brings
it back. The recently added Win 7 64 bit box "Do you want to run this Program" box does not appear. I have also defragged my C: drive. It works when I access
it through Fastone as an external editor.
Whats the problem here? ... this is an activated registered version that has been working ... up until now. Should I deactivate it and removing it .... then reloading it and
reactivation it again .... or what? The OS is Win 7 sp1 64 bit ... with all the lastest updates. I am having no trouble running any of my other programs. Does Adobe have an
update or patch to fix this problem? What should I do?When you quit Editor navigate to Task manager and check under Process tab if you see PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe is running. It might be possible that some task is pending and hence exe is not quitting propely. Kill the process and check once again.

When I try to delete message threads on my iPhone 5, the message app won't work until I restart my phone. Once it restarts, the message threads that I tried to delete are still there. Any advice?
I recently spoke to someone from Apple support, and here's what I gathered:
"Older" phones (read: anything iPhone 4s or older?) sometimes have trouble keeping up with the processing demands of the newest software. When deleting threads with a lot of media (photos, videos, etc), it can take a lot of processing to successfully delete. What this support tech suggested was picking some of the bigger threads at night before you go to bed, deleting them, and then leaving the phone alone-- and plugged in-- overnight to give it enough time to delete everything. He suggested not even pressing the lock button; just leave it to process (though I imagine the screen will lock on its own anyway).
Not sure if it works yet since I just spoke to him, but it's the closest thing I've got to a solution! -

You haven't mentioned the exact version of Photoshop you are running. As the always helpful and knowledgeable JJMack told you, new versions of Photoshop do have auto save and recovery when enabled in your Photoshop Preferences.
However, no auto recovery and/or autosave is a match for a defective machine. As suggested by Mr. Cox, you should do a thorough inspection of all your hardware ASAP. -
Whenever I work on my Mac it keeps reverting back to the previous settings once I restart.....Please Help!
Do you mean that all changes you made to your files are lost, or do you mean that changes to your preferences are lost? For example, pick any small file, make a copy of it, and put the copy on your Desktop. After rebooting, is the copy still there?

I am unable to open Safari. It was working yesterday before I installed the update. The update seemed to be automatic when I restarted my computer. I am running 10.9.5. I don't want to lose my contacts, bookmarks etc if I have to delete the app. Any suggestions?
Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen. Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Try to launch Safari. Select any messages that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.
The log contains a vast amount of information, almost all of which is irrelevant to solving any particular problem. When posting a log extract, be selective. A few dozen lines are almost always more than enough.

Yes, PSE versions 6 through 12 work in 10.9, although PSE 11 is a bit buggy. All other versions are fine, including PSE 12.

AAfter updating to ios8.2 yesterday Facebook doesn't work. It worked fine before the update. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Facebook and shutting down the iPad completely - nothing! Anyone help?

Acrobat 9/Vista - Can only covert Office 2007 documents to PDF once before having to stop acrtoray.e
I have Acrobat 9 Pro Extended, Office 2007, and Vista Ultimate 64 with UAC off. I can only convert from an Office document (.doc, .xls) to PDF once before getting problems, after which I have to close the acrotray.exe process in Task Manager (or restart Vista) to get it to work again.
After I successfully convert an Office document, on future attempts it says "Adobe Acrobat is not activated. Cannot create the PDF file."
If in Word I instead choose to Print to Adobe PDF, it says "Word is preparing to background print the document:" but then hangs and I have to stop the program. An error box then says "Adobe PDF creation cannot continue because Acrobat is not activated."
After ending the acrotray.exe process or restarting the computer it works again, but like before only one time. Opening Acrobat and choosing Repair Acrobat Installation doesn't fix the problem unless I restart, which would fix it anyway.
Is there a permanent solution to this issue?I Also have the same Problem
When u try to convert word/XLS/TXT to PDF i get this error and when i kill the acrotray process from taskmanager i am able to generate the PDF.
Can anyone of u please let me know what is the problem about and how to solve it.

Please use the following steps as reference:
1.Go to T-Code pfcg
2.Create a Role by giving a name say ZPSTEST
3.Click on Authorization tab
4.You will be asked to save the profile first
5.Go to Change authorization data
6.Choose SAP_ALL and adopt reference.
7.Confirm Yes to insert all authorization
8.Go and expand the link project system
9.Expand the link PS: Project Manager for Project Definition
10.Here you will see two fields Activity for Authorization che and Number of responsible per
11.Click on change button on the first field.
12.Here click on Cancel full authorization
13.Now, here you can choose what all functions you want to assign for this authorization Role.
14.Choose say Display and save
15.Click on Number of responsible person and choose any person , say XYZ
16.Now the authorization role is ready. This setting will ensure that any person who is assigned this role will only be able to Display the projects , if the responsible person is XYZ
17.Go back to the pervious screen. In the process Generate the profile also.
18.Once you are in Change Roles Screen, go to tab USER. Here you can assign this role ZPSTEST to various users.
