Elements 11 installed but no.exe file?

Using the Adobe Download assistant I downloaded and installed a Purchased version of Elements 11 onto Win XP with the Virus program inhibited.
The Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 Icon appeared on the desktop and the Program is listed in Programs and " Add or Remove".
When I click on the icon I get a "Windows is searching for Elements 11 .exe file."
Checked Program Files>Adobe >Elements 11  - cannot see it.   I did instal Premier Elements before this.
Should I delete Both  Elements and Premier Elements  and restart.?
This is my second attempt today first time the registary cleaner made the whole program disappear  !

First always make a back up of your registry prior to using any type of registry cleaner.  This will allow you to restore the registry from any damage that it may have caused.
Is Premiere Elements currently able to launch?  If so then yes please try removing Photoshop Elements from Add/Remove Programs and then try installing again.

  • Installing windows without the actual disk, but a .exe file

    Hello all,
I am new to this forum and new to macs in general. I just got my Macbook over the weekend, and am still trying to learn all the differences from windows.
Anyway, I have obtained a free copy of windows XP software through the MSDN academic alliance, and the only way to get the software is to download a .exe file. However, when bootcamp runs, it asks for the installation disk to be inserted, so I am a little confused as to whether or not my executable file can be used.
I tried burning the file to a disk, and trying to use that disk as the windows installation disk, but that didn't work. My brother told me to make a proper disk, I need to use an app like Toast or something similar. Should I obtain this software and try burning another disk? Or is there another option I am not aware of?
Thanks for any help you can give.

Disk Utility will burn an .ISO just fine.

Yes, Toast etc or Nero are excellent but you may not need to, have to confess have never been faced with an .exe and of course you would need to run it on Windows of course. I download Vista 64-bit build but came in ISO format.

  • Premier Elements 11 installed but does not launch

I installed premier elements 11, the installation did not have any problems, but when I click on the icon nothing happens. It does not give an error message, is does not try to do anything, it simply does not launch. I uninstall, turn off the norton software, did a clean boot to prevent other services to load, re-installed the software and the problem continues.
I have window 7 64 bits 8 gb memory, more than enough disk space. What else can be wrong that is preventing the application from launching?

    Hi,
Could you please try the following solutions and see if any of these work:
    1. Navigate to 'PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe' located inside:
        Win x64: C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 13
        Win x32: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 13
Right click on 'PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe' and select 'Run as Admin'
    2. Just after this keep on pressing 'Ctrl+Alt+Shift' on Windows (or Command+Option+Shift on Mac). You will get a popup asking to delete Elements settings file.  Click Yes.
If the above does not work, please try the following:
    3. Please rename SLCache folder present at location "<root drive:>\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\SLCache"
Also please rename opm.db on your machine to resolve this issue @  <root drive>\Users\<user name>\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE
    Now re-launch the application.
    4. In case any network printer is attached try to launch without network or printer uninstall or make different printer as default.
    5. Try launching with anti-virus off or removing PSE from conflicting list.
If none of these work, please let me know.

  • Trial version of Photoshop Elements 9 installed but doesn't run.

I recently installed Photoshop Elements 9 on computer running Windows 7 and it installed correctly.  When I try to run edit or organzer the flashing bar starts but neither program runs.  Adobe support wouldn't help since it was a trial version. Any suggestions?

Try making a direct desktop icon for the Organizer and see if you can launch the program directly from the desktop.
On Windows right click anywhere on the desktop and select New >> Shortcut
    Browse to Computer OS C:
And find the PSE Organizer application in Program Files or Program Files (x86) on Windows 7 - 64 bit.
Inside the Adobe >> Photoshop Elements Organizer (yellow folder) you are looking for an application file “PhotoshopEementsOrganizer” with six small icons (e.g. representing thumbnails)
    Select it and click OK
    Click next
Rename by taking out Photoshop Elements leaving just the word Organizer
    Then click finish
You should now be able to launch directly form the desktop by double clicking on the icon.
You can set up a similar direct link to the Editor application (.exe file which has the blue PSE icon). As before take out Photoshop Elements just leaving the description Editor and it will show up clearly on the desktop.
It often helps if you right click on a desktop icon and choose “Run As administrator”

  • Premiere Elements 9 disk has no .exe file?

My Premiere Elements disk has no .exe file.  I know this because I had it installed on my old PC thanks to the help I received from Adobe.  I now need it on my new PC, some help would be appreciated please?

I do not fully understand the situation you are in with the disc that you presently have....
    a. why you cannot use AutoPlay to install from the disc
    b. if you do not want to do "a", why you cannot copy the installation disc to the computer and then use the Setup.exe file.
Lots of questions to get your installation disc usable, but....
To cut to a quick solution to your problem, provided you have a purchased serial number for Premiere Elements 9....
Go to the following web site and download and install the Premiere Elements 9 tryout. During installation of this tryout, insert
your purchased serial number to make it your working copy. The key to success in this particular route is to read and carry out
carefully the web site's "Note: Very Important Instructions" and its click "here" so that you do not run into Access Denied.

  • Can't open install flash player.exe file

I have no idea if this is typical, but my computer (windows xp) has dowloaded the install_flash_player.exe file as a pf file, and Windows won't let me simply open it. Should I go on the web looking for the software to open it or can I get it download in some other way?
    Thanks.

Hi, is it From: fpdownload.macromedia.com? This doesn't need to be opened. You SAVE it to your Desktop(you'll need to find it)
Not sure what you are trying to do. You need to post back your PC info, browsers you use and versions. Have you Uninstalled first? There are new Revised Instructions out from Adobe, so you may want to follow them.
    Thanks,

  • Installing newly downloaded .exe file

my laptop is brand new - how come i cant get any .exe file to run and install? download went fine - when i clck run nothing happens - when itry to delete the .exe file it says it cant because installIQ is busy with it. even hours later on a 11 MB install.
i cant find InstallIQ anywhere on my computer and i dont see wher this install is happeneing.
    HEEEEELLLLLPPPP.

i cant find InstallIQ anywhere on my computer
InstallIQ is a an installer with spyware/adware features. You can read about it here.
       What Is Install IQ Updater?
I wouldn't install any application which uses that installer. It plants itself here.
       C:\Program Files\W3i\InstallIQUpdater\InstallIQUpdater.exe
You should be able to uninstall it from Control Panel's Programs and Features.
When you post here, always tell us which model Toshiba you have and which Windows.

  • Elements 12 installed but won't load

Bought Elements 12, installed and ran for a few days, then refused to load on double click. Uninstalled, reloaded without success.

On Windows try finding the editor application at:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 12
Scroll down the alphabetical list of files to those beginning with P and select (highlight)
    PhotoshopElementsEditor
Then right-click it and choose “Run as Administartor”
If it works you can make a new desktop shortcut.

  • Photoshop/Premiere Elements 10 installed but won't run past Welcome screen

I bought and downloaded Photoshop Elements 10 and Premiere Elements 10 for Windows 7 - 64 bit on Dec.31/11.  There were no error messages in the download, although the Akamai downloader screen didn't seem to show 100% before proceeding to the next step.  Everything appeared to install correctly (it's  a long process!).
At first, clicking on the desktop icons or the Start Menu list would bring up the Welcome splash screen, where the broad options (Organize, Edit, New Project) were shown.  However, clicking on these options had no effect at all.  Eventually even the Welcome screen wouldn't appear. I checked the Windows task manager and no applications were running.
I checked the shortcut properties and noticed that there was a separate executable in the target directory (eg. existing link was to "Adobe Premiere Elements 10.exe", but there was also a file called "Adobe Premiere Elements.exe"), which did run...however, I couldn't launch the Organizer from that program, and the "Home" link to the Welcome screen didn't function either.
With thousands of these programs being downloaded, I'm surprised that this serious glitch hasn't surfaced before.  Any ideas?
    Thanks!

There are three different programs -- Photoshop Elements (PSE) which is for editing bitmaps, Premiere Elements which is for video editing, and the PSE Organizer which is for cataloging your media.
I don't like the sound of that Akamai downloader not registering 100%.
Uninstall all the Adobe products, reboot, and download the installation package again.  Check the Properties on that downloaded file and "Unblock" it if Windows has flagged it as "possibley harmful and coming from another computer" before starting the installation.

  • I downloaded the Complete Adobe Elements and installed but ther eare No Program icons

OK, I download the Complete Elements 10 via the singe download option. The installer ran to completion. There isn't a program start icon on teh desktop or anywhere in the start menus.
Thre is a Folder on the desktop with all 6 contents ( 1-3 and 1-3hd) If I click setup.exe in any of those folders it asks if I want to Uninstall. Windows Control Panel shows it installed as well. Just no darnm way to start the program.
This is Windows7 64Bit 3GHZ Quad-Core AMD with 8GB memory with the C: drive being a SSD. Speed and space is not an issue.
I really hate a company that basically has tech support except during basically M-F 8x5. I guess people are supposed to take off from work to install software they privately purchased.

  • Nsldap32v50.dll is part of CR11R2 install but has no file version

Hi, I have a Windows applications that I have CR reports in it. In my setup pacakge I have included the use of CrystalReports11_5_net_2005.msm to install the CR run time libraries for my application.
nsldap32v50.dll is part of crystalreports11_5_net_2005.msm installatino.  This and another 2 nsldap dlls are installed onto c:\windows\System32 folder.  I would like to know why CR requires to install this and other 2 nsldap dlls.
I'm getting error of nsldap32v50.dll has file version (same with the other 2 ldap files that CR will intall) when I run my applicaiton's setup package through MS Application Verifier V2.5.  Is there a fix for this problem?  If not, how can I go by to get rid of this error?
    Thank you.

The nsldap*.dll files are utilized in Enterprise .NET applications for LDAP authentication to BusinessObjects Enterprise. We only have one set of merge modules for Crystal Reports for .NET and Enterprise .NET applications so this is why these files are installed even though you may not be using LDAP.
    nsldap32v50.dll
    nsldappr32v50.dll
    nsldapssl32v50.dll
The only way I know of to get them out would be to modify the MSM file with Orcas. But that may be a bit risky.

  • Clean Install but no Library Files

What I meant by this is I would like to do a clean install of an operating system (possibly Mavericks) to a new external drive, then using Migration Assistant or some other means to bring over my User folder minus the Library which I assume contains corrupted files accumulated over the last 15 years. I would then reinstall 3rd party applications and those from Apple that are not installed with the OS.
After testing the result, I would then erase my internal hard drive and clone the external drive to the internal drive. Does this sound reasonable?
I currently have 2 backups, a Time Machine and a clone, one of which would be used for the migration.

    Hi, thanks for the response.

IMO, bad assumption. If you're having issues with your current installation, fix them before upgrading.
Easier said than done. I have had intermittent problems with the Finder and other Apple apps (Safari, etc) that I have not been able to resolve. For example, when using the Search box at the top of a Finder window, after entering several characters, the Finder freezes requiring me to relaunch the Finder. Trashing the Finder Preferences didn’t solve the problem. Viewing the Console Log for the exact time that the Finder freezes results in no clues as to the cause. With respect to Safari, the Minimize keyboard shortcut quit working. Trashing the Safari Preference file didn’t help. Numerous other nuisances that I can’t recall at the moment.

  • Lion just installed but now Parallels file lost?

Please could anyone give advice re Parallels drive being lost after installing Lion?  I have therefore downloaded Parallels 7 as I was using version 5 prior to the Lion.  Totally confused.....!

Do  you have an Intel iMac? You've posted this in the PPC section.
Lion would not delete any files although it might quarantine incompatible applications. Perhaps you should do some Spotlight searching of your drive. You will need Parallels 7 with Lion. The version you have been using is not compatible.
