Elements 11 locks up when I attempt to Photomerge Group Shot

Whenever I attempt to perform Photomerge, Elements 11 locks up. It's just that simple. I get the MAC beach ball, and the application locks up. I'm able to force Elements 11 to exit by executing Force Quit Application. This problem happens in Quick, Guided, and Expert modes. Does anyone have any thoughts? Thanks for your help.

What version of Premiere Elements 11 are your using in presumed Mac computer? I suspect none, but, by the content of your question, rather Photoshop Elements 11 Mac.
If that is the case, you have posted in the wrong forum. You want the Adobe Photoshop Elements Forum and not the Adobe Premiere Elements Forum (video editing) where your thread is not displaying.

Photomerge Group Shot in Elements 11

I am using Photoshop Elements 11 on a Mac with OS X 10.10.1 Yosemite installed. I'm trying Photomerge Group Shot. I have watched "Perfect Group Shots" on Adobe tv and have followed all the steps exactly as shown. When I get the final image exactly how I want it and press "Done", that final image disappears and is replaced by one of the original images I used to create the merged image.The "final image" is not in my photo bin nor can I find it anywhere. Very frustrating! What am I doing wrong? Any help will be much appreciated.

When I was trying to make it work correctly I took a picture of the tree at the exposure that I wanted then put my daughter in front of the tree and tried to take her properly exposed and put her in front of the tree in the good tree picture, so to answer the question, it technically isn't a group shot but I plan on using this for a group shot. I'm not real fluent in Photoshop yet so I don't know how to do it any other way other than the photomerge function. I will see if I can figure out your suggestion. I'm pretty lost when it comes to working with layers at this point. Sorry for being such a novice! Thanks for the help!

Photoshop elements 9 ejects disk when I attempt to install.

I have Win 7 64 bit computer that meets Photoshop specifications.
When I insert the DVD install disk, it ejects the disk when I double click to open and install.
help appreciated
Perhaps Adobe should let me download the program from their site?

Premier Elements 12 locks up when downloading disk menu

I Just install PE12. Tried with both 12 and 12.1, same results. When i choose tools, add menu, i get the option to select one. I right click it to download it, see the progress bar complete but get a whote rectangle where the menu used to be displayed and a cursor indicating waitng. Then after trying to do anythign else, PE12 goes into not responding mode, then crashes eventually and closes. Seems like there has to be something obvious I'm missing. Tried new install, update to 12.1, download all, same or similar results.
Anyone?

For now I am assuming that you are on Windows 7, 8, or 8.1 64 bit computer.
1. Right click the Premiere Elements 12 icon on the computer desktop and then select Run As Administrator, even assuming that you are running the program from a User Account with Administrative Privileges...are you? Then what happens to the problem? Still there?
2. Slideshow/Pan and Zoom installs with the program and is not part of what is considered Content Download.

So, this appears to be more than a "Content Download" matter.
3. Determine if all the Disc Menus files can be found on the computer hard drive. See blog post link above for paths to. Did you install the program to the default location or create a new location?
4. If problem still there and program install location choice is not the issue, try deleting the Premiere Elements 12 Settings File.

and in the 12.0 Folder is the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file that you delete. If that does not work, then you delete the whole 12.0 Folder in which the Adobe Premiere Elements Prefs file exists. Be sure to be working with Folder Option Show Hidden Files, Folders, and Drives active so that you can see the complete path.
5. If problem still there.... then we are looking at deactivate, uninstall, ccleaner run through, reinstall with antivirus and firewalls turned Off.
What is your antivirus program. If McAfee, then disable it before any of this troubleshooting to determine if it is the problem or contributing to it.

Lightroom locking up when I attempt to add a new folder or synchronize (update content in) an existing folder

I'm following the instructions (for Windows OS) here:

No matter what I do, Lightroom locks up (circle/acitivity icon keeps spinning and application becomes unresponsive, focing me to close it via Task Manager). Thinking that perhaps it wsa just taking LR awhile to process the folder contents, I let it run overnight. Same issue. I tried with a single folder, in case folder size was an issue. Same issue.
I've uninstalled/reinstalled it, to no effect.
Help would be appreciated, thanks.

Did you make sure that you opened the Bookmarks Menu folder with the '+' at the left to see all folders in it?

This can also be a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Why does photoshop elements 12 stall in perfect group shot merge when i get to the point of dragging from the photo bucket to the workspace

Photoshop Elements 12 is stalling when I want to merge group shots. I am able to put the photos into the photo bucket however if i try to drag the photos to workspace it stalls.

There is a browser plugin or software (BrowserSafeGaurd) which blocks and tampers network calls. This software has been reported as malware. Please check if you have it on your machine and remove that by following steps mentioned on http://www.tomsguide.com/us/browser-safeguard-remove-how-to,news-19273.html and try to license the software once again.

My iPhoto 11, V 9.4.2, locks up/freezes when I attempt to empty the iPhoto trash bin. Originally, I thought it was due to 800 files in the trash, however, I removed ALL but 5 photos from the trash and it continues to lock up.

Inititally the "progress" bar would get to about 1/2 way and then it would stop and stall. However, now the progress bar no longer shows a progress line it immediately freezes and locks up. Can anyone help?

You may have damaged the library - Back up your iPhoto library, Depress and hold the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - rebuild your iPhoto library

I am getting the error 'An error occurred in lock management when attempting to set a lock on table SWWWIHEAD.'
Sometimes the workitem is not created by the Workflow due to above error & this happens rarely but keeps coming.
cany anyone guide or help me how to correct this problem.Is it happening due to my custom code making locks on the above table?

I think you should not use any code to lock the table SWWWIHEAD. Please let us know why you are writing code to put lock on this table.

I think you may be correct. It is coincidental with my upgrade to Adobe Reader 11.0.10.
I have installed IE 11 (11.0.9600.17690)
It may be an Adobe Reader problem in that the "tools/file save as" dialog is completely empty. No local directories are displayed for saving to. When I try to Close(X) the "File Save As" box it pops up a message box on top that says "Adobe Reader is not Responding" It locks up all of my IE windows, not just the one with the PDF doc.
I need to go go Task Manager and stop the IE task. All my browser windows are then closed.
That is the only way to recover from the "Adobe Reader is Not Responding" message.

if the error message was about a missing archive, you need to place both the exe and 7z files in the same directory for photoshop elements. and then do the same for premiere elements.

Is the internet working when you are entering your password? In PSE12 and PSE13, you need to be online first-time when you register/activate your product. It is made mandatory for reasons I don't know.

Make a temporary, backup copy if you don't have a backup copy of the library (select the library and type Command+D) and apply the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Since only one option can be run at a time start with Option #1, followed by #3 and then #4
Launch iPhoto and try again.
Fix #2
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

I have not been able to use photoshop elements 11 since I installed it. It keeps locking up when I try of open a picture.

Can you open an image directly from a folder on your hard drive? You right-click on a file and choose Open With Photoshop Elements 11 or Photoshop Elements 11 Editor.

Elements 10 locks up upon sign in

I can use my user name and passwork successfully on the adobe site but when I attempt to sign in within Elements 10 the program locks up completely. Solutions?

It locks up because PSE is still trying to do what it was programmed to do: find and connect to the photoshop.com servers and it can't find them so it keeps looking.
I should also have mentioned that it's best to give up on the welcome screen entirely now, if you used it. Just go into the program files or program files(x86) for windows or the applications folder on a mac and find the actual .exe/application for the editor and/or the organizer, make a shortcut/dock icon and use that to launch PSE in the future.
