Elements 11 Organizer does not open

Dear Sirs,
I have bought PSE 11 but it doesn't work! Organizer doesn't open normally
and the different solutions given by the community did not resolve my
problem .
I am desperate! What can I do more?
Best regards

I suspect it may have something to do with your monitor settings. Go to the control panel and check dpi scaling under Appearance or Display.
It’s not uncommon to see a setting of 125% or higher to improve screen readability but PSE requires a dpi of 96 or 100%
Whilst the Editor Menu will appear at 120% to 149% the Organizer Menu (and the advanced button in downloader) won’t. Sometimes the mouse or tool cursors are distorted.
Try a setting of 115% to 120% otherwise use 100%. A common display resolution, notably for notebooks/laptops, and netbooks is 1024 x 768 but PSE requires a screen height of 800 for full functionality. If your height resolution is out of the range 768 to 800 try experimenting with the slider/settings.

  • Elements Organizer does not open. Should I just forget it and use Lightroom?

I have Elements 11 and reciently instaled Lightroom 5. Elements Organizer no longer opens. Should I be concerned and just use the ghtroom Library?

Lightroom is more powerful and robust than Organizer. So yes go ahead if you don't need people recognition.
You can set up te PSE editor as your external editing app in LR preferences and then you can right-click on images in the Library and choose Edit in pse.

  • Premiere elements 12 does not open

i have photoshop and premiere elements 12.  the photoshop works fine, but the premiere does not open.  when clicked on the hard drive spins for a short time but nothing opens.  using windows 7.

When you go to the Control Panel/Install Programs, is Premiere Elements 12 shown to be installed on the Windows 7 (assumed 64 bit) computer? After the program installation and restart of the computer, you should have gotten a Sign In dialog. You need to give you Adobe ID and password there for the program activation.
When you are trying to get the program to respond, are there error messages being deposited in the Event Viewer (Computer/Manage/Event Viewer/Windows Logs/Applications)? Have you checked for any error messages there?
If you look at the Notepad document for the Hosts File, does it look like this default representation
Path to the hosts file in Windows 7 64 bit is
    Local Disk C
    Windows
    System32
    drivers
    etc
and in the etc Folder is the hosts file.
Right click on the hosts file followed by Open and select Notepad. This should
give you what you see in the screenshot above. If you see anything below the line
    #     ::1      localhosts
then we need to check that out.
The antivirus is the most likely candidate to look at in the troubleshooting scheme, but also
check out any firewall involvement as well.
Are you all set on permissions - Run As Administrator and User Account with Administrative Privileges? Is your Internet connection OK? Latest version of QuickTime installed?
Although Premiere Elements is not mentioned specifically in the following Adobe document, I have seen Adobe Staff make reference to it for Premiere Elements troubleshooting purposes, you may want to check it out
    http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html
Please review the above and then we can decide what next and consider the benefits of getting Adobe involved in the issue, especially if you are within 30 days of purchase.
Looking forward to your follow up.
    Thanks.

  • Elements 6 does not open

I have been using PS Elements 6 on my Windows 7 PC for sometime.  Two days ago it would not open when I clicked on the shortcut. I had to uninstall and reinstall.  It worked fine until today when the same thing happened.  Can someone explain why this is happening?

    What to do?
It's a common error...been around since at least E2. The workaround is to copy your setup.exe from the disc into your OS clipboard, then paste the setup.exe onto your desktop. Run the installation from desktop.

  • Premiere Elements 3 does not open projects (existing or new)

Last few days I tried a number of solutions suggested on your website including reinstalling Adobe but I still can not access my pro
jects. Adobe does not even open for New Projects. It tells me that a serious error has occured and that it will shut down and try to
save my project. It no longer asks me to save the project under a new name, it just shuts itself down. I have several versions of t
he same project saved at various stages. The project has video clips, a couple of photos, music, narration, titles and transitions a
nd goes for 1h10m. Another project of just photos with titles, music and transitions is only a few minutes in length but still does
    not open.

    Hi Steve
Good to hear from you. I have been using Premiere Elements for about 10 years and have been using version 3.0 for the past two years. This problem is new and very persistent. I have a project that is 98% complete (1h10m long movie) and Elements was working fine. Then one day when I opened Elements I got an error message saying "Sorry, a serious error has occurred that requires Adobe Premiere Elements to shut down. We will attempt to save your current project." Since then every time I open Elements I get that message but it no longer offers to save it under a new name, just shuts down the program once I click OK. The screen where it lets me choose which project to open appears without any problems, but then when I open the project the error message appears about 10 seconds after the project has finished opening. I have tried opening different projects, and even tried starting a brand new project, but the message appears every time. I tried deleting the prefs file in Application Data as suggested in some forums but that didn't help. I have re-installed Elements several time but the problem still occurs.
My operating system is Windows XP with Service Pack 3. I have 4GB of RAM and two 300GB hard drives, both less than one quarter full. Quicktime and the Realtek drivers are up to date. I recently installed XP Service Pack 3 and some updates for Microsoft Office 2003, but Elements worked fine for several days after this before the problem began occurring. I have also recently had a problem with my computer refusing to shut down however it's shutting down normally now, not sure if that's anything to do with the Elements problem. Virus and spyware scans using Norton and Ad-Aware are all clear.
Hope you are able to help. Thanks, Iwona.

  • Elements Organizer does not install when reinstalling PSE10

I have a problem that I cannot seem to resolve. Previously Adobe Photoshop Elements 10 had been running flawlessly on my computer and was easily opened by clicking the desktop icon which had a "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 10 Organizer\Photoshop Elements 10.0.exe" target. After uninstalling and reinstalling Photoshop Elements 10, when I click on the Desktop icon to start the application, I get a dialog box that says "The item 'Photoshop Elements 10.0.exe' that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved so this shortcut will no longer work properly". If I right click the Photoshop Elements 10 desktop icon and check properties, the Target says "C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Elements 10 Organizer\Photoshop Elements 10.0.exe". When I open Explorer and navigate to where the target says the application file should be, the "Elements 10 Organizer" directory does not exist. The only directory that does exist is the "Photoshop Elements 10" directory and it contains the 'PhotoshopElementsEditor.exe'. Yes if I click on that file the Editor opens, however when I try to load the Organizer workspace once the editor is open, it does not load because the entire folder and application is missing. I even tried searching the entire C-Drive to find the Photoshop Elements 10.0.exe file but it was nowhere to be found.
To be specific, I had PSE8, PSE9, and PSE10 installed on my 64-bit Windows 7 Professional w/SP1 computer. I decided to uninstall PSE8 & 9 because I had just purchased PSE12 and wanted to make room for the PSE12 installation. When I tried to first uninstall PSE8, the uninstaller stopped with the warning that PSE8 was installed in the same directory as PSE10. The uninstall then terminated when I clicked on OK. Next tried to uninstall PSE9 and received the same warning and uninstaller termination. The same thing happened when I tried to uninstall PSE10. Faced with the situation that all three products were installed in the same directory and would not uninstall individually, I found it necessary to uninstall all three applications manually according to the directions on the Adobe's knowledgebase.
To uninstall PSE8, PSE9, & PSE10, first thing I did was create a system restore point which is something I always do just in case something goes wrong. Then starting with PSE8, I first printed out the Photoshop Elements Help "Manually remove Photoshop Elements 8 | Windows that I found at http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/826/cpsid_82673.html. Subsequently I printed out the directions for each product, PSE8, PSE9, and PSE10, are all on the Adobe website. Next I followed the directions contained in each article except for running the product uninstaller as I mentioned above and removed all three applications then rebooted my machine.
Next I reinstalled PSE10 and tried to open it only to find that it did not fully install especially the Elements Organizer. As mentioned you can open the Editor by going directly to the executable file however you cannot access the Organizer because it did not install and cannot be found anywhere on the computer. I have uninstalled and reinstalled PSE10 five time now each time using the product Uninstaller plus the "Manually remove PSE10" directions and I still cannot get the Elements Organizer to install.
My question is does Adobe have a utility that can be run after manually installing a specific product that would find registry entries that were not removed after completing the manual removal process? The problem I see is the manual removal process which shows possible registry entries to remove manually is built on the assumption that you were able to run the Uninstaller which is not the case with my problem.
Secondly does anyone have any suggestions on how to install both the PSE10 Organizer and Editor?

I believe I found a solution but I need help in changing some of the parameters to reflect for a United States program install.
If you go to "Elements 10 Organizer is not installed [SOLUTION]" at http://forums.adobe.com/message/4745941 you will note the Poster says it is possible to force the install of Elements Organizer 10 by using the command line:
    msiexec /i "E:\Adobe Photoshop Elements 10\ElementsOrganizer\Elements 10 Organizer.msi" TRANSFORMS=1031.mst ELEMENTS_DE_DE=1 ORGANIZER_DE_DE=1 STARTWATCHSERVICE=1 SUPPRESSREBOOT=0 NOT_STANDALONE=1 /l*v "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Temp\OrganizerInstall.log".
I found that the above command line input does in fact start the setup for the PSE10 "Elements Organizer" Installer except it is in a language other than English.
Is there anyone familiar enough with coding and command line prompts to change whatever paramenters are necessary to have the installer run in English.
Hopefully there are some Adobe Staff monitoring this message that can answer the question for me.

  • Elements Organizer does not save contacts entered in Contact Book

When I try to save contacts in either Elements Organizer 10 or 11 in the Contact Book, it saves nothing.  After I click the save button and reopen the contact book, anything I entered is gone.
I've tried entering names as I'm preparing to send e-mail, I've tried doing it through Edit>Contact Book..., and even by adding a New Group to the Contact Book before entering new name, none of which work.  Can someone help?

It’s working for me on Windows if I click:
     Edit >> Contact Book
Then click the new contact button, enter details and click OK and OK again.
What OS do you have? What is the default email client?

  • Photoshop Elements 8.0 Organizer does not open

Have been using this program for sometime.  Today, under file, I thought I clicked the print photos option.  Then realized I did not want to do that just yet. Another menu had opened and without really looking, I clicked cance.  When I did, elements shut down.  When I tried to reopen, the welcome screen came up with the running bar at the bottom saying "Gathering User Info".  It never really seems to finish.  When I click on the organizer button, the program closes.  After a reboot, I was able to open the organizer by using the "All programs", Photoshop, and then the welcome screen came up with the running bar on the Organizer button as well as at the bottom.  Organizer opened.  I was able to complete my task.  Thought maybe there was an issue with the short cut.  So I closed the program.  Now, can not access Organizer from the short cut or the "All Programs" button.  Is there anything to try before I uninstall and reinstall? And if I need to do so, will my tags still be there when I reinstall?

Computer was off for few days r/t bad snow storm, power outage and work schdule.  When I booted back up, currently the organizer is working as it should.  Thanks, for reviewing this with me.

  • Adobe Premiere Elements 11 does not open

    Hello,
I just bought adobe photo elements 11 and premiere 11. I already had a trial version from Photo Elements11. With the code I could activate the whole program so this succeeded.
However, I tried to install Adobe Premiere elements 11 (several times) I installed and de-installed and re-installed a couple of times but with no success. During the installation process it does go through the whole installing procedure and everything seemed ok; the icon appears on my desktop but when I try to click to open it, it doesn't open..(it's not doing anything at all, you see the mouse turning into that "swirl circle" very briefly then it stops and nothing opens)
I also tried to download the trial version and hoped with the code I could open it, but nothing happen there either.
Hope you can help me out. I also didn;t receive any error messages.
    I have a Intel Core i5-2430M - 2,4 Ghz, Windows7.
    thanks!
    Inge

Could be the auxilairy processes failing to initialize. Perhaps the event viewer can provide some clues:
Working with your Operating System’s Tools
Could also be an issue with teh activation stuff, so try running Help --> Deactivate in PSE, then launch PRE to bring up the activation dialog....

  • Elements 12 does not open nef raw files depsite having latest raw plug-in

Help please - wasted far too much time trying to open my raw files with recently purchased elements 12. I have tried to ensure all software is up-to-date but still the message that the raw file is not supported appears when I try to open with Camera Raw . The files open in nikon software and windows.  My camera is a Nikon D7100.

As a test, try copying a nef file from your camera to computer without using nikon transfer and see if it opens in pse 12.
Which version of windows are you using?
If in the photoshop elements 12 editor you go to Help>About Plug-In and click on the words Camera Raw, what version does it say?

  • Photoshop Elements "Edit" does not open

The "Edit" option in Photoshop Elements no longer opens (the "Organizer" option still works ok.)
    Suggestions?
    Sandy

On the drive on which you have installed PSE,on my machine it is on C:
Go to c:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 9\Locales\<locale>\Plug-Ins\Import-Exportand you will find twain plug-in. Remove that plug-in from that location and copy it somewhere else.
Now launch PSE and check if it works.
    Alternatively,
Try resetting the PSE preferences by
       1. Close Elements.
       2. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Edit.
       3. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences.
    - Disable any anti-virus software just to confirm if it is not blocking PSE Editor.
In case any network printer is attached try to launch without network or printer uninstall.
try and let me know your comments.

  • Photoshop Elements 8 does not open any files

    Dear Community,
today I booted my adobe photoshop elements 8.0 to do some picture editing. But when I try to open a file nothing happens. And I mean nothing. Photoshop just keeps on running but it doesn nothing with the command I gave it. It doesn't show a new image, there isn't even a new file in the open files container, which normally shows you which files you have open. I've tried different images. Jpegs, pngs and I even tried a raw image to check whether the Raw converter starts, this doesn't happen eighter.
First thing I tried after that was to reset photoshop elements using ctrl-alt-shift, but that didn't help eighter.
Does anyone have any idea what I could try to fix this???
    Short info on the system:
Adobe Photoshop Elements 8.0 on Windows XP with all the latest updates.
    Thanks in advance!

Can you open a file directly from a folder by right-clicking and choosing Open With.
Then select PSE8 or navigate to the exe file.
