Elements 11 will not open

I have been using Elements 11 on Windows 8 for a few months now, with no problem. I have it set to open with the organizer. Last week it would not open and hasn't since. I uninstalled and reinstalled it to no avail. Any help would be greatlt appreciated.

Please try couple of probable solutions as mentioned below:
Solution 1:
1. Close Elements.
2. Launch the Photoshop Elements Welcome Screen and hold down ctrl + alt + shift as you click Editor.
3. Continue to hold the keys until you see a message box asking if you want to delete Photoshop Elements settings file; click Yes. Elements will open with default preferences.
Solution 2: In case any network printer is attached try to launch without network or printer uninstall or make different printer as default.
Solution 3: Try launching with anti-virus off or removing PSE from conflicting list.

Make sure your user account has full administrative permissions. Then, at this stage of the game, I would take the following steps:
- Re-create the Preferences file following these instructions:
Re-create the Photoshop Elements preferences file to eliminate problems that a damaged preferences file might cause.
Note: When you use this solution, Photoshop Elements will create a new preferences file and you will lose custom settings associated with your current preferences file. However, the file you rename in step 2 is your original preferences file. If you determine that the preferences file is not causing the problem, then you can restore your custom settings by undoing the instructions below.
To re-create the Photoshop Elements preferences file:
Quit Photoshop Elements.
Locate the Adobe Photoshop Elements preferences files. In Photoshop Elements 5.0, there are two preferences files, one for Organizer and one for Editor:
Users\[ user ]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\5.0\Organizer\psa.prf
Users\[ user ]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Photoshop Elements\5.0\Editor\Photoshop Elements 5 Prefs.psp
Rename the extension for the files (for example, to psa.old).
Start Photoshop Elements. Photoshop Elements creates a new preferences file.
I doubt that this will fix your problem, however, it is always the first thing to try. If it does not, take these steps:
- Uninstall Photoshop Elements
- Run the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/290301)
- Reinstall Elements
- Reinstall the 5.0.2 patch

Photoshop elements will not open

My photoshop elements 10 and my phoposhop CS3 will not open at all they go to a black screen.Three days ago it opened. before that it had not opened for several days. Before the problem with it not opening, it would not load photos to edit them. I have tryed to look at the compatability, etc.
I am afraid to delete and reinstall. When I look in my photos I do not see the photos that I have edited. HELP

Start PSE to get to the Welcome screen.
Hold down the Ctrl + Shift keys and click Organizer. Keep holding down the keys until you see the Catalog window.
Select your catalog and click Repair. Select “repair anyway” even if PSE doesn’t find problems.
Then for good measure, click Optimize.
If repairing resolves your issue then fine else repeat the above steps, but click New to create a new catalog. If you’re able to import photos into the new catalog and the Organizer works fine, then problem can be old catalog.
Check for Task Manager and end the "ElementsAutoAnalyzer.exe" file and then try.
- Try launching Organizer directly from the exe with Admin rights.

Have elements 7 downloaded on my computer. Tried to download lightroom 5 64-bit but it wouldn't download because I have Vista and not 7. Now my elements will not open. I click on it but nothing happens. Any suggestions.

Try updating using an iTunesSetup.exe (or iTunes64Setup.exe) installer file downloaded from the Apple website:

Elements will not open

I purchased elements 11 in January and installed it on a PC. I then deactivated it and uninstalled it two days ago and was finally able to reinstall it successfully (after several attempts) yesterday on a new mac. Last night I could see the icon on my desktop and I was able to open it. This morning the icon was gone and I could not open the product. It kept telling me to install it although I could see the download from last night.

Did you actually start the installation from the dmg file you downloaded?
You can check whether the application installed correctly by launching Finder and going to:
Applications >> Adobe Photoshop Elements 11 >> Support Files
You should be able to see the Editor Application (see image - click to enlarge).

Premier elements will not open. All downloaded but just wont open.

I have downloaded three times but when I cloick on the desktop icon it does not open.

Premiere Elements will not open

I have been using Premiere Elements 11 for some time. It has been working fine. Recently, it won't open. There is a message which says to uninstall and reinstall he product. I have done that. No help. The message says to contact Adobe support and mention Error:1 Can you help?

Here is an Premiere Elements 12 Error 1 story with a happy ending. Please check it out and see if any of it works for you with your Premiere Elements 11 problem. At this point, I do not think that product licensing has anything to do with your issue, but time will tell.

Add On...I forgot to ask. Are you working from installation files purchased from Adobe or from a purchased installation disc that came with boxed packaging of the product? If the former, you could always get another download of the product at "My Orders" or "My Products" at Adobe.

How can I contact adobe? Elements will not open and it tells me to contact adobe, but I can find no successful way to do so

I cannot open elements. I get a message to restart my computer and if this doesn't work to contact adobe. Numerous restarts have not worked and I have been trying for 3 days to reach Adobe with no luck. I cannot get through online and when calling the customer support phone number, I spent 2 1/2 hours listening to music on hold and gave up without ever hearing a human voice. This is ridiculous! Can anyone help? I really need to be able to use the software.

Elements will not open after viruses were removed

First time I tried to open with a photo attachemnt to an eamil I had a message flash accross the screen saying I could not use the program and it needed to be reinstalled.
My question is do i "uninstall" it before I "reinstall" it and if I do do I loose all the tags. Or do I simply "reinstall" it. I have over 10,000 photos taged and I think I would cut my wrists if I would loose those tags.
Another question I have is how can I get "line" techinical help for Elements 6 or am I dreaming?

Photoshop Elements will not open after download complete

It says my download is complete, but I cannot open Photoshop Elements. I have a Macbook Pro Mac OS X 10.7.5. I would love any kind of help...very difficult to find the answer.

Did you see it go through the install process? Maybe you need to find the instal file in your download folder, and run it.
Or can you see the Elements icon on your desktop, but it is not responding? As much info as possible please.

Yea i got that same message to Quicktime failed to initialize (error-2096) Quicktime is required to run itunes.Please reinstall itunes, which i did so many times which did'nt work and so i started reading some of the articles on this site. there was one article i read which says right click on quicktimeplayer and click on properties then click compatibilty tab and deselect checkbox or boxes but i only deseleted one box which reads windows vista .windows 2000 or 95 or whatever so i did that opened up itunes again and still i got the same error message then i started thinkin i wonder if i should do the same thing on the itunes player click on properties, click compatibilty tab then deselect box so i did. Yes, that is correct. The organizer is just a database, so your photos are wherever you put them intially. Did you import from iphoto? In that case, organizer does make duplicates (to avoid writing into the iphoto library, which would be a Bad Thing to do). If you didn't specify a location, the copies that PSE uses will be inside subfolders in the Adobe folder in your Pictures folder.

Elements 5 on Vista will not open. Missing files

I have installed Photoshop elements 5.0 and the updater 5.02. Elements will not open and indicates several missing files. This is a brand new Windows vista HP machine. the missing files are "FAST CORE ROUTINES MODULE" , 'MMX CORE ROUTINES MODULE" , and "MULTIPROCESSOR SUPPORT" . Any suggestions? I not only uninstalled, but followed the instructions for "deep cleaning" all remanents of Elements, from folders, and even the registry. I had to change viewing files to viewing hidden files and all extensions, and deleted the Adobe Application Folder in Users\name folder and THAT along with your hint to install as Administrator did the trick. The application folder deletion seemed to finalize the installation... I have not tested all components yet, but now at least I can begin testing!!! Thank you for your response.
